As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The moonroof wind deflector clips may be inadequately attached to the moonroof frame, which can result in the wind deflector detaching from the vehicle.

Risk. A rearview camera image that does not display properly can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the image processing module software, free of charge.This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model years. The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."

Risk. Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.

Risk. A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. Additionally, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

The vehicle is a 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty equipped with the 7.3L Godzilla gas engine. This vehicle has experienced recurring, catastrophic internal engine component failures involving the lifters and camshaft, resulting in severe powertrain malfunctions while operating under load. The original factory engine began demonstrating progressive valvetrain symptoms and mechanical ticking at approximately 36,000 miles, which ultimately resulted in a complete engine failure and replacement under warranty at 50,000 miles. A factory replacement engine block was subsequently installed under the Ford Service Parts Warranty. At approximately 75,000 total vehicle miles, the replacement engine began demonstrating the exact same symptoms and lifter failure characteristics. I have had on average 2 headlight bulbs burn out per year since 2022. It gets fairly hard to see at night when you have 2 out of the 4 burn out at once.

Vehicle lost complete power unexpectedly.

I have contacted my dealer several times over the past year, and filed a complaint with Ford Motor Company's, Office of General Counsel. To date, NO response from Ford. The dealer relies on Ford for the fix. This is an alarming issue, in that the failure will be mostly unexpected and perhaps catastrophic. I find it unusual and negligent for Ford to take this long for the remedy. My dealer tells me no parts are available. I drive sometimes out of state. I may get stranded and still no one can fix the issue. Ford needs "jacking up" to get this done. Fourteen months have lapsed and its way overdue.

I find it absolutely absurd that the fuel pump recall is still not resolved! When are you going to hold Ford accountable for this egregious delay? This has been over a year now. Everyday I drive my truck and tow my travel trailer wondering if at anytime it may just die on me on the highway.

Fuse box is allowing moisture in causing horn to not stop and truck to remain running. Ford has updates in their manual that this is a problem but no recall issued.

While traveling with my fifth-wheel camper attached, my 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty (6.7L Power Stroke) suddenly developed a complete no-crank condition. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed multiple electrical warnings, including U0100 (Lost Communication with PCM), High Engine Temperature, AdvanceTrac, Blind Spot System Fault, Hill Start Assist, and Pre-Collision Assist warnings. The vehicle ultimately became disabled and would not crank or start, leaving me stranded away from home while towing a trailer. Repair Description After troubleshooting the vehicle, I discovered severe internal corrosion inside the under-hood Battery Junction Box (BJB). The corrosion appeared consistent with Ford Technical Service Bulletin 23-2133 regarding moisture intrusion into the Battery Junction Box on certain 2020–2022 Super Duty trucks. I purchased a genuine Ford replacement Battery Junction Box from a Ford dealership and installed it. Immediately after replacement, the vehicle started normally and all warning messages disappeared. I retained the failed Battery Junction Box and have photographs documenting the internal corrosion. When the vehicle is moving forward, and rear camera is selected to visibly confirm the status of anything behind the vehicle, there is a giant black bar/box that states "full view not available" Clearly this is a safety hazard in the sense that I am unable to rapidly assess and determine the status of anything behind my vehicle, be it a trailer, a hitch mounted bike rack, or another vehicle. Ford should be required to remove all of these distractions from their software immediately.

Trailer Brake Module Failure message at start up. I no longer have any trailer brake function. I was towing when this happened.

Charging System Fault. Caused multiple error messages like Forward camera not available, collision avoidance not available. Then Radio goes black and reboots. Several cycles later the dash board goes DARK. No speed or RPM anything visible for 5-10 secs, and on some reboots this Dark dash lasted 30 seconds. Thankfully while traveling at midnight the head lights and tail lights remain on, just no interior lights during these Reboots. New batteries made no difference.

While flat towing my 2022 Ford F‑350 behind a motorhome using Ford’s Neutral Tow Mode procedure, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic transmission failure. The Ford dealer documented this clearly on the service invoice: “HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS FLAT TOWED.” After the tow, the truck had severe slipping, delayed engagement, high RPM with no movement, and a wrench light. The dealer confirmed fault codes P0741, P1744, and P27B4. The dealer found catastrophic internal damage: “fluid is burnt with metal debris… filter is packed with metal debris… torque converter has came apart and filled transmission with metal debris… it is catastrophic failure.” These components are available for inspection. The dealer also documented a low battery condition: “batteries. low state of charge.” Ford’s Neutral Tow Mode relies on electronic control modules that require stable voltage, but Ford provides no warning that low voltage can cause the transfer case to exit Neutral Tow Mode. This creates a safety risk because the transmission can be rotated internally without lubrication while being towed, which can lead to sudden drivetrain lockup or loss of control. The problem was confirmed by the Ford dealer, and the vehicle was fully inspected by them. The only warning symptom occurred after towing: wrench light, slipping, and no movement. There were no warnings during the tow itself. This failure mode is not disclosed by Ford and cannot be detected or prevented by the owner.

The right rear corner parking sensor on the truck has a 3 foot range. I believe these rear back up sensors normally should have a 12-15 foot range. I was backing up at an angle at slow speeds at hit a large brick mailbox. The mailbox is below the height of the closed tailgate. This could have been a adult or child. The sensor triggered but I did not stop in time. At 5mph a 3 foot distance is covered in .4 seconds. I replaced the bumper and the bumper cover as a result of this .

This is not a failed component, the issue is a design interaction issue. This truck when it gets stuck as it unfortunately very easily does even on wet grass goes into a traction control mode where the throttle is VERY damped but the issue is not only is the opening very dampened the closing is also VERY damped. This is made significantly worse by the fact that traction control cannot actually be disabled. There is a switch and it indicates it is disabled but the functionality remains the same. This combination means whenever you're working to get the truck unstuck, like yesterday when it was on wet grass you have to expect that the vehicle will suddenly accelerate as soon as it finds traction. normally you can counteract this by expecting to apply significant brakes as soon as it finds traction but if the front wheels are still on a slippery surface the ABS system will lose it's mind and essentially disable brakes as the vehicle accelerates violently backwards with the new found traction. This combination of software decisions makes it so you can very easily replicate an unintended acceleration scenario where the vehicle jumps back a solid 20' when this happens, not respecting any brake input given by the driver and certainly not respecting that the throttle was released long ago. The throttle closing should not be damped when traction control is running and the ABS system should not be behaving the way it does. I understand getting the vehicle unstuck from wet grass is not

2022 F350 SRW, King Ranch, Tremor Steering column began making clunking sound when hitting rough patches on highway. I then noticed that I was able to lift the steering wheel an inch or two up and also pull it towards me two to three inches and freely push it back in. I could wobble the steering wheel side to side as well. Felt very unsafe as I was on a 7 hour trip home. No warning lights or incident that contributed to problem

Front facing camera, located in front grill, has inadequate water proofing, which eventually shorts out the camera and causing it to become inoperable. This creates a blind spot when backing up or driving in tight spaces with such a large truck. When the front camera blacks out, you lose visibility in front of the vehicle. This is a safety issue, because the size of the truck, how high it sits from the factory, and no visibility over the hood could cause a collision with low height persons or kids or property. Yes, this issue has been reproduced by the dealer. And there are numerous reports of people on message forums and social media complaining of this issue. There were no warnings of this prior to failure. One day the front facing camera simply stopped working, leaving a black screen for any camera views that include the front camera.

Glass roof panel behind sunroof (over rear seats of crew cab) shattered while driving on the highway at 5:30am with no other vehicles within several hundred yards. No sign of impact, remaining glass seems to be pushed outward.

Our truck is currently experiencing issue with the driver side door. In cold temperatures, the door will not open from the outside of the vehicle nor the inside of the vehicle. This is a known Ford recall with the F150 series as well. TSB/SSM 50543: SSM 50543 is a Ford Special Service Message addressing freezing door latches on 2021-2022 F-150 trucks. It addresses issues with doors failing to lock, unlock, or open in freezing temperatures due to water intrusion, instructing dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace door latch cables and actuators. This is EXACTLY what we are experiencing with our 2022 F350.

Ford dealerships when contacted do not have a fix and two dealers have said its a very common issue but no fix for it. safety risk is that while you think your hands free on the phone when it goes in and out of connection can cause a major distraction while driving. I have had two dealers provide feedback that this is an issue but not one that has a fix that they can do. It has not been inspected by police or insurance agent there is no warning lamps that have gone off

Loss of power to trailer brakes. Lights work, brakes get no power. Tested at plug on truck, no brake power, fuses checked, all still good. No messages for disconnected trailer.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The fan clutch assembly failed and as a result the drive mode would not change from tow/haul mode to any of the other 4 drive modes. Accelerations and decelerations were negatively affected as a result creating safety hazards when driving. The engine was always responding as if a trailer were attached and subsequently accelerations were difficult and decelerations consistently utilized the trailer engine braking system, similar to semi-trucks utilizing the Jake-Braking systems, This is a significant safety issue and needs to have a recall issued for the replacement of these fan clutch assemblies.

Sudden loss of acceleration at highway speed. Engine sputtered and died as I coasted to a stop on a two lane bridge. Very dangerous location. Was able to restart engine. Ford dealer at next exit. Checked out and no codes thrown. Advised to keep driving until recurrence. Took to hometown Ford dealership and after three days reported no codes, no recurrence, and no problems detected. My truck is only 3 years old. However about 3 months ago I noticed my rear view camera quit working. I only get a black or blue screen. Every other camera still works. I know there are over 1 million ford vehicles with this exact same issue that are under a recall. I would like to know why mine is not. I do not think it is fair I have to pay to repair an issue that’s covered by over 1 million other Ford vehicles.

Driverside rear axle snapped.There is a recall right now for the 2023 with similar issue. The truck is sitting at Murray ford in kingsland,ga waiting parts to completely replace a new axle. It does go into park or anything

1 month ago my vehicle intermittently would not shut off. You could hit the Start/Stop button and from all dash board appearances the truck was off, but the truck was still running. I resorted to pulling a circuit breaker to get the truck off. I found NHTSA 10226938 and replaced the Battery Junction Box as prescribed. This fixed the vehicle for a few weeks, but now the issue is back. There is no water intrusion in the BSB junction box.

As a Ford owner, I can vividly recall the 1980’s Ford acronym ‘fix or repair daily’. That comes to mind as my 2022 F350 Platinum Dually has been in the shop for one thing or another more times in 3 years than my 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ has in 10 years. But I digress. The reason for this complaint is my latest malfunction on my Ford vehicle. As mentioned previously, it hasn’t been 3 years and yet another issue with my vehicle has come to light. My passenger roof trim has broken at the connection point, which of all things, was connected via rivet…beneath the rear glass. Apparently, this an extremely common issue among 2017 and up Ford Super Duty. There has been no recall issued. And Ford wants the vehicle owners to pay for the repair. It is an absolute horrible design. The plastic breaks often. And to make matters worse, the rear glass had to be removed to replace the trim. Most of the trim snaps in place but the very end, the end that is cheaply made and connected to a metal rivet, is so fragile and thin that after a few months of driving over American bumpy roads and being beating up the Sun, it cracks, breaks lose, sticks up like a sore thumb, and otherwise detracts from the reputation of the Ford Brand. My vehicle is still under the original warranty as I have only 22,240 miles, and I purchased and extended warranty with adds 4 more years. This needs to be remedied and Ford owners need to be compensated for monies spent to repair these manufacturing defects. MY LOCAL FORD DE

Was driving at 06:30 in the morning on a multi-lane highway with light rain. Sudden explosion of the forward sunroof panel with glass shattering everywhere. It was a very loud boom that occurred. No other vehicles were close by so this was not a rock thrown. Plus the roof is 7 feet off the ground which makes it very unlikely with no other vehicles close by.

1.Spark Plug Wire Failures: oIncident 1: On December 15, 2024, a spark plug wire failure on cylinder #1 caused a misfire and check engine light (code P0301), reducing engine power while towing a 10,000-pound trailer on I-90. Wendle Ford Spokane repaired it under warranty. oIncident 2: On April 10, 2025, another failure on a different cylinder triggered a misfire and check engine light, requiring a $766 repair (invoice attached). These failures are a known defect in 2020–2022 Super Duty trucks, per owner forums and a 7.3L motorhome Technical Service Bulletin. oSafety Risk: Misfires reduce power and control, endangering occupants and other drivers, especially during heavy towing in winter conditions. 2.Front Differential Failure: oOn April 5, 2025, the front differential failed, disabling 4x4 throughout the 2024–2025 winter. Discovered during a snowstorm on a rural job site, the loss of 4x4 compromised traction and stability, requiring a one-week repair. oSafety Risk: Loss of 4x4 in adverse conditions increases the risk of skidding or stranding, particularly for a heavy-duty truck used in construction.
