VINs

A VIN you enter is passed to the public NHTSA decoding service to look up the build. We do not store it, log it against you, or share it with anyone.

Accounts

There are none. The site needs no sign-up and collects no personal details.

Server logs

Our web server keeps standard request logs — IP address, page requested, timestamp, user agent — for security and troubleshooting. They are not used to build profiles.

Third parties

Fonts load from Google Fonts and VIN decoding calls NHTSA, so both see the request as it is made. We run no advertising or analytics trackers.

Complaint text

Complaint narratives are reproduced as published by NHTSA, which redacts personal details before release. If you believe an identifying detail survived that redaction, the correction has to be made at the source, through NHTSA.
