Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 F-Super Duty F250, F350, F450, F550, 2021-2022 F600, and 2022 F750 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V957. Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high pressure fuel pump.

Risk. High pressure fuel pump failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the powertrain control module (PCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed mailed April 7, 2026. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD vehicles. The 360-degree view camera system may not display a rearview image properly in certain lighting conditions.

Risk. A rearview camera image that does not display properly can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the image processing module software, free of charge.This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model years. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on October 30, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the remedy is available on each phase. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2021 F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles. The steering column upper shaft may detach from the steering column and result in a loss of steering control.

Risk. A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Bronco, Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, 2021-2022 Lincoln Navigator, Mustang, F-150, and 2022 Expedition vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump may fail, which can result in an engine stall while driving.

Risk. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the low pressure fuel pump on super duty vehicles and update the powertrain control module (PCM) software on all other affected vehicles, free of charge. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with third-row seating; and 2019-2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 SuperCab vehicles. The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."

Risk. Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy. Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2021 F-150, Expedition, 2020-2022 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and 2020-2021 Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The windshield wiper arms may break, causing the windshield wipers to fail.

Risk. Inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility in certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace both front windshield wiper arms, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters, informing owners of the safety risk, were mailed on May 24, 2022. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2022 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty vehicles equipped with gasoline engines and aluminum driveshafts. Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.

Risk. A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. Additionally, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and repair the driveshaft as necessary, and properly attach the underbody insulators, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 7, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S09.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, and Medium Duty F-650 and F-750 vehicles equipped with 6.7L diesel engines. A small void may be present in the top-center of the vehicle's underhood secondary fuel filter cap, which may progress to a pinhole over time, allowing fuel to leak from the top of the secondary fuel filter.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire or injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the primary and secondary fuel filters, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S01.

The high pressure fuel pump failed sending metal shavings through out the entire fuel system. I had no heads up and the failure left me stranded on top of a bridge. I called 911 twice and finally the cops showed up and wrecker towed me off the bridge. Ford is aware of this known issue with this make and model, and even put a recall partial recall / quick fix to increase the flow around the pump to keep it cooler. I had the quick fix recall completed but it did not prevent the failure and me being stranded on a bridge.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-350 SD. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (Fuel System, Diesel). The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH, the message "Reduced Power" was displayed, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle stalled and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and was diagnosed with failures of the CP4 fuel pump, cycloid filters, and contamination of the entire fuel system. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Vehicle went into limp mode and we towed it to the dealership. They ran diagnostics and found that the fuel filter was causing a fault for water in the fuel filter. They replaced the fuel filter and ran diagnostics again and it flagged failure for Low pressure fuel pump. They replaced the low pressure fuel pump and reran diagnostics. When they reran diagnostics it flagged for High pressure fuel pump failure and now they are in the process of tearing it down to the point of failure to find out the cause. My vehicles vin was not included in the original recall and believe that it should have been included.

I was driving my truck home when it completely shut off, I lost all power to everything, including the power steering brakes. When I got home, I did some research on the Internet to see possible causes. Apparently there is a service bulletin for the fuse box having water getting into it from the cowl of the hood, which states it can do exactly what happened to my truck? You can also keep your truck running and not shutting off and just to hold host of other safety issues with the service bulletin. . So I brought my truck in to get diagnosed by Ford and they did indeed say it was the fuse box under the hood that got water into it and shorted it out. Ford would not cover this part even though I have a factory extended warranty, annoying this is a common issue for 2020 to 2022 Ford trucks they issued a recall on expeditions in a couple other vehicles, but not Ford trucks specifically the super duties. How is this? OK that they don’t tell a customer who purchased a vehicle that this could potentially happen and then when it happens, they refuse to cover anything even though it’s their fault why it happened.

The dealer submitted information to the manufacturer advising that the fuel system was not contaminated. Additionally, a case was filed; however, the contact was denied coverage. The failure mileage was approximately 195,000.

Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2021 Ford F-350 I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety-related failure involving my 2021 Ford F-350. While driving under normal conditions, the vehicle suddenly entered “limp mode,” resulting in a significant and immediate loss of power. Approximately 20 miles later, the vehicle completely shut down, leaving me stranded and requiring the truck to be towed to Gene Messer Ford for diagnosis and repair. The failure created a potentially dangerous situation, as the loss of power limited my ability to maintain safe speeds and respond to surrounding traffic conditions. After the vehicle was delivered to the dealership, it took approximately one week for inspection and an additional two weeks to complete repairs. During the repair process, I was informed that newly installed components—including the fuel rail and two fuel injectors—were defective and required replacement again. This raises concerns about whether the root cause of the failure was properly identified and whether contamination or systemic failure within the fuel system was present. I am also aware of widely reported issues involving high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failures in Ford diesel engines, which can result in catastrophic damage to the entire fuel system, including injectors, fuel rails, and lines. Given the nature of my vehicle’s failure and the components involved, I am concerned that this incident may be related to a broader, known defect. This type of failure—sudden loss

Repair remedy has not been addressed. Leaving the vehicle owners footing the bill when a fuel system problem arises. It's been since 2024 and FMC has not done anything about it. The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the DEF Pump, DEF Pump Lines needed, and DEF heater element needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Cold side intercooler boost tube cracked due to constant vibration impact from coolant overflow hose routed directly above and on top of it. Part and vehicle is available for inspection. The split in the boost hose caused me to loose power while attempting to merge onto a road, almost being hit by another vehicle. After research there are multiple other instances of complaints of the same thing happening to others and multiple aftermarket manufacturers producing replacement and upgraded parts with references and warnings of the same thing happening for the last 10 years. No warning lamps or symptoms prior to failure. After failure no warning lamps but could hear an audible hiss. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the dealer or police. I was told by their parts people it is a regular failure and the part costs typically around $200 and they only sold it as a full part and not just the rubber replacement hose althought they are separate parts connected with hose clamps.

Driving and abrupt transmission shifting issues.

On 11/19/25 , my 2021 Ford f350 burned to the ground due to engine malfunction. From what the fire department said.

The check engine warning light was illuminated. The message "Decreased Engine Power" was displayed, and the vehicle experienced a loss of drive power. The contact coasted off the road and came to a complete stop. The message "Shift to Neutral" was displayed. The contact turned off the vehicle and let it cool down for five minutes. The vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who determined that the high-pressure fuel pump had failed. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 132,900.
