Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2021, 2023 Acura TLX, 2019-2024 RDX, 2017-2020, 2022-2026 MDX, 2017-2021, 2023, 2025 Honda Ridgeline, 2017-2022 Pilot, 2019-2021 Passport, 2018-2026 Odyssey, 2019-2022 Insight, 2019-2021 HR-V, 2018-2020 Fit, 2020-2022 CR-V Hybrid, 2017-2022 CR-V, 2017-2018, 2021 Civic Type R, 2017-2021 Civic hatchback, 2016-2020 Civic coupe, 2016-2022 Civic, 2017-2022 Accord Hybrid, and 2016-2022 Accord vehicles. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

Risk. Air bags that deploy unintentionally during a crash increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are BOL, WO9, OOA, WOM, XOH, NOC, POD, BOE, UOF, POB, EOG, AOI, QO8, TOJ, DO7, and SOK. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 24V064. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 29, 2026.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Acura MDX, 2015-2019 Acura TLX and 2015-2017 Honda Accord vehicles, equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. Particulates in fuel may adhere to the internal components of the fuel pump, reducing its performance.

Risk. Reduced fuel pump performance can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit (FI-ECU) software and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019. Owners may contact customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Acura's recall number for this recall is P3W. Honda's recall number for this recall is N3X.

My Honda 2017 Accord Hybrid has begun emitting an incredibly loud static noise that persists for long periods of time. Waldorf Honda in Waldorf, MD, has refused to fix this known problem with this make/model of car. I can no longer drive with anyone in the car and have to wear noise-cancelling plugs just to go to work or do any kind of errands in the car.

The vehicles speakers plays a loud glitchy static like noise. It has to do with the Premium Amp and the Audio Unit. Can become too loud to hear emergency service vehicles coming by.

ABS, TIRE PRESSURE (FLASHING FOR 1ST MINUTE OR SO), POWER STEERING, & TRACTION CONTROL warning lights all came on. Points to ABS control unit failure. I had to panic stop the other day to avoid hitting a squirrel, & the wheels locked & the car skidded -- no ABS pulsing of the brakes. I understand this is a VERY common problem with these cars. There should be a recall.

This is the second tire of the four purchased in 2022 that have cracks in the sidewall (tread separation from sidewall). They are the Goodyear Assurance Maxlife 235/40R19 96V. No warning to the loss of tire pressure and the time it takes for the cracks to propagate. When I brought the first tire back to Sam's Club (where I originally purchased the tires), the replacement was prorated based on tire wear. No indication that there was a defect on the replaced tire, and more importantly, no inspection or concern that the replacement left three remaining defective tire on the vehicle.

Defective radio causing DEAFENING static sound even if radio is OFF. Louder when radio is ON! The volume control and power button has no effect on the static. UNKNOWN- My speedometer is off by 5 miles per hour. Think I'm going the correct speed in a school zone and find out it's not reading correctly. Got a device to check it and sure enough it's off. ELECTRICAL- This is the second time my GPS screen/radio has been replaced due to the fact that I am a Realtor and I use this a lot to find the homes my clients want to see. The screen goes dark, the music goes loud, you can't turn it down, screen freezes etc. Or using the GPS and I receive a phone call and the screen goes black. So I find it hard to believe it was the radio when the new one is doing the exact same thing. The first time this happened I believe was around Dec 2025 and now it's doing it again. It started again this year but I unfortunately broke my ankle and this car situation was not my top priority.. I have contacted the dealer and plan on bringing it back to them when Pete from Clear Lake Honda gets back from out of town but again, it wasn't a faulty radio and it wasn't a gum wrapper if I have a new radio doing the exact same thing as well as the electrical doing the exact same thing. ELECTRICAL- This is the second time my electrical went out. The first time and the second time are the same. Automatic lights don't come on at night and I learned that the hard way. Key fobs don't work to unlock and lock the doors, anything with the electrical system. I was told the first time, oh, it was a gum wrapper in the fuse box area. The car radio / infotainment system caused dangerously loud, painful, pulsating static noise to play from all speakers. The noise starts at a lower decibel and gets louder to the point where conversation is impossible. High pitched digital noise is also present and creates additional, painful damage to hearing. Driver concentration is severely impacted and situational awareness is affected due to not being able to hear cars, engines, sirens, or other traffic related noises while driving. No warning lamps or other indicators are present. Upon inspection, the problem can be mitigated by pulling the fuse to the system rendering it inoperable. It cannot be turned off otherwise. Noise will occur even if the radio is turned off.

Very loud static across multiple speakers, often independent of radio volume with intermittent static through multiple speakers even when muted or off. I can't hear sirens or emergency vehicles. I can't hear anything except loud static. This is a safety hazard. I read comments about this being a common issue with 2016/2017 Honda Accords XL and higher. This is a factory/manufacturer's defect. Car shuts off at highway speeds and in stop and go traffic like it has a fuel delivery issue. Car sputters and then loses all power. I know there was a previous recall on this vehicle but I’m curious whether it was actually fixed on my car specifically.

The rearview camera on my 2017 Honda Accord has permanently failed. When the vehicle is placed in reverse, the display activates and the yellow guide lines appear, but the actual camera image is completely cloudy and unusable. The camera appears to have an internal failure. The vehicle has lost the ability to provide a clear rear view through its factory-installed backup camera system. Honda has recently addressed similar rear camera clouding/water intrusion issues on other models. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether this condition represents a broader safety defect affecting Honda Accord vehicles.

This vehicle was involved in an accident. The car crashed into a concrete barrier separating the interstate highway. The front passenger airbag appeared to only partly deploy, and the driver air bag did not deploy.

ABS solenoid internal malfunction

This has been on going and was intermittant but recently it is constantly occurring: while driving the radio/speakers emit and incredibly loud static/interference sound. it i so loud in fact, the speakers sound like theyre going to blow. i am unable to stop the sound, the volume button nor power button stop the sound. turning the car off then on doesnt stop it either. the sound is so loud and distracting, it is not safe. i have MANY videos of the occurrences but no photos (since you cant hear the incidents via photo). please contact me for these.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, the steering wheel suddenly locked up without warning. The vehicle towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a defective power steering rack and pinion, and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact felt a slight resistance when turning the steering wheel. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive because the failure could recur and lead to a crash. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. While driving the factory installed infotainment/audio system suddenly emits an extremely loud .piercing .high amplitude static sound through the speakers. It comes random and happens even if the radio is on or off. I think it is a safety hazard. Turning off the power button will not work. The loud noise continues until you turn off the ignition. This is unacceptable. Catches you off guard and distracts your driving. I have not taken it in because it is not any recalls on it. I have googled it and saw that several people are complaining about the same thing. I feel like this needs to be a recall on because Honda has been knowing about this for several years. It don't warn you that anything is going on or happening.

So the vsa/abs module on my car is malfunctioning which controls the abs system and the vehicles safety assist and my car through a code that says abs/vsa module malfunction and also I've been doing research online about it and all the forums and articles I've read says that it's a very common problem with 2007-2017 Honda Accord vehicle and I've reached out to multiple auto shops and they have told me it's a very common issue as well and that those module are not made to last due to how they are made and the costs to buy new to replace it is $2000 and can only be bought or order at a dealership and nowhere else and honestly not everyone can afford that repair cost so I feel a recall is necessary because they fail all the time due to how they are made and it affects a really important safety feature on the car

If the car is in the sun loud static noise blares on all the speakers

While driving the vehicle stops accelerating, it seems to have lost power and will not accelerate. It gives an error that says "CHECK CHARGE SYSTEM" The vehicle has stopped accelerating while driving, most recently on the freeway while driving the car would not accelerate and I had to navigate to the side of the road while the car lost speed, causing hazardous conditions for myself, my children that were in the vehicle, and others around me. The car has been towed multiple times because of the same issue. I have attempted to have this vehicle repaired numerous times, at this point the mechanic has said that it is an issue with the vehicle itself and has suggested to contact Honda directly. The vehicle has only been worked on by independent mechanics. The lights on the dash blink while it occurs but there doesn't seem to be any forewarning that the issue will occur. It happens at random, no specific rate of speed. The issues started happening about a year ago, I have replaced the battery multiple times and have paid for other repairs but have not resolved the issue.

Pulled off my street to go to work, and the car engine started hesitating, misfiring and losing power. I turned around and was able to get it to a safe location, but had to have it towed to the dealership. Dealership ran codes said it was a bad injector issue and quoted me $2,600 to replace all 4. My Accord just turned 9 and has had all recommended services done. This is my 4th Honda and have never had any fuel injector issues with prior cars. My car is not showing as part of the recall for this, but it should be because they are defective. If I had not turned around, a semi could have hit me as I was in an industrial area, because the car all of a sudden lost power. This is an extreme safety issue and should be recalled.

I had just started my car and when i turned my radio was on ,that has been playing music & letting my take take calls thru just fine. I then turned the audio off because I was on a phone call & didnt want it to conect to the car and all i could hear & everyone in walmart parking lot could hear was EXTREMELY loud white noise(static) . Even with the audio turned off & completely down, it was deafening.i do notice that when im on a phone call & im not using the cars assistance, it shows that my volume is muted but turned all the way up to 32!! Which is crazy, I know that would blow the speakers.but anyways I could not even pay attention to try to drive home on june 2nd when this incident occurred, so I had to sit in the blistering heat for forever it seemed trying to get it to quit, which I had to keep turning my car on & off which I didnt like doing bc i know that not good , in order to get the static to go away enough for me to get home which was barely 2 miles away..very aggrevatying & stressful, when i was currently workingand had to quit for the day.. I believe the car got too hot. I say that because barely a month after purchasing my honda accord( ive currently had car for 1 yr ), the back windshield shattered while I was at work, and it was very hot ,juwt like it was the day my speakers started screaming static at me..i hope this can be fixed. Loud unbearable static noises coming from speakers. Hard to stay focused when driving. Was told by the dealership that it's the radio control head.. Very expensive to replace. Now I'm hearing a lot more people are having the same issue with their Honda Accord. This is a mental and road safety concern and should be recalled.

Radio has recently starting making deafening static after driving for about 15 miles. Cannot reduce the horrible noise with volume control or by changing from radio to BT or USB or any other Source option. It is EXTREMELY loud to the point where I think it will affect my hearing...not to mention extremely distracting to be trying to drive with that deafening noise. This is very dangerous!!! I searched online and I see a number of other complaints about this exact issue. PLEASE issue a recall and force Honda to deal with it. The component that failed is the fuel pump, which had previously been replaced under a manufacturer recall but is now failing again. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This failure has created a serious safety risk, as the car stalls while driving, begins to shake, makes abnormal noises from the exhaust, and then shuts off without warning, increasing the risk of an accident, especially in traffic or at higher speeds. The problem has been confirmed by an independent auto repair shop, and I have an invoice documenting that the fuel pump is the cause of the issue. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or other third parties regarding this current failure. Prior to the failure, there were noticeable warning signs, including shaking, unusual exhaust noise, and intermittent stalling, which began shortly before the vehicle started shutting off completely while in operation.

Head unit or premium amp failure, blasts static at full volume and can’t be turned off. continues to be an issue after turning car off, disconnecting battery, volume power off, etc.

The car hit the brakes automatically at 70MPH when passing on the left. There was absolutely nothing in front of the car that should have triggered the CMBS.

I have a Honda Accord Sport. My vehicle does not appear on the recall website. I am having so many issues with my vehicle lately. The following lights stay on continuously on my dashboard. The tire pressure light, ABS, tired skid traction, brake and steering wheel lights are on. I have tried everything to get these issues resolved and nothing seems to be working. I am thinking now that this could possibly be an electrical issue or sensor issue. I have replaced my batter twice, my passenger side window fell, and I had the motor replaced and it is still not working. My car stalls when I am driving, sitting still and when I turn the air conditioning on. I have had so many repairs done to this vehicle. The invoices will be attached to this as well. I have basically made the care new under the hood, and nothing is working. I need help to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. This is the only vehicle I have to get to and from work daily. Radio makes a very loud static noise with in 30 minutes of driving the car. The radio is off when this noise starts from the back speakers and the noise will move all the way to the front of the car. It stays on for 15-20 minutes and may quit on its own, or until I cut the car off. I cannot control the volume on this static/noise. It is very loud . Is there any recall on this issue with the 2017 Honda Accord radio?

I unlocked my car using the buttons on my key. I put my my purse along with my phone and my key in the car and I close the door and went to the trash to throw away an empty cup. When I got back to my car 2 minutes later the car relocked itself with my purse my phone and the keys in the car.

The multifunction ADAS camera module failed due to "Internal Error" at only 9 years old. This means that critical safety systems such as automatic emergency braking/lane keep assist malfunctioned and could not assist with avoiding collisions. I took the car to the dealer and they confirmed the issue, and charged me $2000 to fix this critical safety system. I noticed that the new camera assembly has an updated part number, indicating that Honda might have been aware of this failure issue. I have also seen some forum posts online of others having this failure with their 2016-2017 Accords with Honda Sensing. Therefore I believe this should warrant a recall. When the failure first occurred upon vehicle startup a few days before I had it repaired, all these systems were disabled and there were multiple warning lamps on the gauge cluster and screen. Prior to this sudden failure, everything had been working fine as intended up until the very day it failed.

The camera failed on the car rendering all the safety features inoperable. The camera cost almost $2000 making it an expensive repair.

While driving, the vehicle intermittently emits an extremely loud, high-pitched static or screeching noise through the speakers. The sound is sudden, piercing, and startling. Most concerning, this occurs even when the audio system volume is turned completely off. Because the noise is so loud and unexpected, it causes a significant distraction while operating the vehicle. The sound is comparable to an ear-piercing static burst and can make it difficult to concentrate on the road. There is no warning before it occurs, and lowering or muting the volume does not prevent it. This issue has happened multiple times and does not appear to be connected to a specific audio source (radio, Bluetooth, etc.). Given the intensity of the noise and the fact that it cannot be controlled by adjusting the volume, I believe this poses a potential safety risk.

While driving, both the digital instrument cluster and the center infotainment screen will randomly freeze, become completely unresponsive, or shut off entirely. This occurs without warning and while the vehicle is in motion. When the instrument cluster freezes or turns off, critical driving information such as speed, warning indicators, fuel level, and other safety alerts are no longer visible. Additionally, when the infotainment screen becomes unresponsive, I lose access to functions such as navigation, backup camera display (when reversing), and vehicle settings. These failures create a significant safety concern because they remove essential driving information and features while the vehicle is being operated. The issue happens intermittently and does not appear to be tied to a specific driving condition. Restarting the vehicle may temporarily resolve the issue, but the problem continues to reoccur. Given that modern vehicles rely heavily on digital displays for critical operational information, this malfunction poses a clear safety risk.

ABS control module failed. It put me at risk because my car shut down on me while driving could have resulted in a car accident.

I have a 2017 Honda Accord Sport. According to the recall, the low pressure fuel pump has a faulty impeller. My low pressure, in tank, fuel pump failed. The failed pump caused the high pressure fuel pump to fail. DTC code P00087, low fuel pressure recorded. Symptoms included loss of motive power above 2000 rpm, hard starts, and engine light. According to Service Bulletin 24-072 all 2013-2017 Accords are affected. However, check VIN for my Accord, which has the exact symptoms, was not included in the recall. I opened a Case with Honda (#16134549) for review. Honda denied that this vehicle was part of the recall and they will not assist with the repair. Come on Honda do the right thing!

ALL THE PANEL LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD LIT UP. HONDA SAYS I NEED NEW INJECTORS FOR ABOUT $2000. THE CAR ONLY HAS ABOUT 66,000 MILES. THEY ALSO SAY A NEED A NEW HEAD UNIT, FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. I HAVE HAD THREE OTHER HONDA ACCORDS BEFORE THIS, AVERAGING OVER 200,000 MILES. NEVER PROBLEMS LIKE THIS.

2017 Honda Accord Touring Model, once car heats up, radio begins to make a static noise that gradually gets louder until it gets to a point that is extremely loud. It is very distracting and damages hearing, making it difficult to drive, causing a serious driving hazard. It does not matter if the radio is on or off and turning the volume down does not help at all. Shutting the engine off and restarting the car is the only way to get it to stop.

ABS LOW VOLTAGE WARNING symbol appeared on vehicle. $3500 to repair according to dealership. This is a common issue on these vehicles and poses a safety risk. Hoping that NHTSA will investigate this problem as many owners have experienced same issue and repair cost is significant, particularly for a vehicle this age.

The car will suddenly have a high-pitched screaming coming from the speakers for no apparent reason with no way to stop the noise. Turning the sound system to zero volume or even turning the power to the radio off does not stop the noise. I have measured the decibel level between 80 -128 decibels with no way to make it stop. I have had to stop the vehicle on the freeway multiple times and turn off the car engine for 15-20 minutes to make it stop. I have recorded the sounds if anyone is interested in hearing them I tried to upload a file but it wouldn't let me an Mp4 file. Honda swears they have never received this complaint before but my google search shows this is a known problem that costs between 2K - 4K to fix. This is a hazard and needs to be recalled. Please help. I paid 35K for this vehicle. I've been dealing with this issue for over 4 years. and I believe my hearing is becoming impaired because of this issue.

There wasn’t an accident. My ABS module has went out. Which has the traction control light, break light, power steering light, tire light, and ABS light all on, on my dash. After a lot of research it is a known issue in models from 2008-2017 so I feel like there should be a recall on this before something happens. I was driving down the hwy going about 50 when I seen a car pull out of a side road. I had to slam on break and my traction control didn’t work at all. I slid all over the road. Luckily I was able to stop before hitting the car, but the traction control made me go all over the road. This is a problem!

Speakers produce full volume static, this loud static sound is unavoidable, it occurs randomly when the car is on and when the audio is on, but once it starts making static sounds, it won't stop. Source input also does not matter. Some observations I have made are that: •It is extremely cold in New Jersey and after the heater is on high for a while and when the car is warmed up it starts to make these unavoidable static sounds. •When the audio is turned off sometimes the static goes away but sometimes it stays even when the audio is turned off. •Once it starts making static sounds, even turning off the car and turning it back on with the audio off doesn't make the static sounds go away. Only when the car is off for a while and it gets cold again, it stops the static sounds. It is extremely cold in New Jersey around this time of the year, and it is impossible to drive without the heater. Once the loud static sounds start, it won't stop and it creates distractions while driving, almost causing me to get into an accident. Lots of people with the same car are having this issue and lots of reddit users are also reporting this issue and most of the people with this issue seem to have some mention of heat causing it or it occurs on hot days. Dealership is not helping either and they can't figure out the cause of the problem. They are suggesting changing the car audio (Head Unit) at customer's expense. I purchased 4 new tires from Braman Honda on 2/2023. I drive the car daily but I also have a take home vehicle for work. On 12/4/25 and 12/5 my son, who is on military leave took the car from Boynton beach to Miami for an appointment. when he returned, he showed me a picture of the dash showing the low tire pressure light on. Up until now, there was no warning of any issues with the tires. I thought that there may be a nail in the tire but to my shock, the front driver side tire was missing chunks. The following week I had the car towed from my house to Braman Honda. My service advisor called to inform me that all 4 tires had tears and cracks in the sidewalls and must be replaced. Me and/or my son could have been hurt or killed while driving the car with the tires in this condition. My car is only serviced at Honda and I keep up with all tire rotations. On 2/21/25 a multi point vehicle inspection was performed and I declined the multi point inspection and tire rotation on 6/14/25 due to a time crunch. The warranty expired after 2 years so I had to finance 4 new tires. BF Goodrich will only file a claim if you replace with their tire brand. I do not trust their brand and even although they supplied the batch of dry rotted tires which was installed on my car, Honda nor BF Goodrich will help with the cost. I've read many similar cases like mine about these tires. BFGoodrich claims that the cracks are due to road hazards.

Vehicle: 2017 Honda Accord EX Mileage at incident: Approx 30,000 Date of incident: Dec 10, 2025 Description of problem: While my daughter was driving our 2017 Honda Accord EX, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) suddenly activated without warning. The car slammed on the brakes even though there was no obstacle in front of her. This caused the vehicle to skid, but fortunately there was no collision or injury. There were no diagnostic codes found when inspected by an independent auto shop. The shop advised us to temporarily disable the CMBS system. This appears to be part of the ongoing issue of phantom braking in Honda vehicles, which has been reported by many owners and is currently under NHTSA investigation. I am concerned about the safety risk, especially since my daughter drives this car regularly. Safety concern: Unexpected braking at highway or city speeds could easily cause a rear-end collision or loss of control. I request that NHTSA investigate this incident and ensure Honda provides a permanent fix or recall.

While driving the car studders & stalles on highways. Throws all the lights on. The vehicle. Vehicle goes into limped mode & you have to clear it out before driving it.
