The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

Risk. Air bags that deploy unintentionally during a crash increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are BOL, WO9, OOA, WOM, XOH, NOC, POD, BOE, UOF, POB, EOG, AOI, QO8, TOJ, DO7, and SOK. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 24V064. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 29, 2026.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, and 2019-2020 Insight vehicles. A software error may cause intermittent or continuous disruptions in communication between the Body Control Module (BCM) and other components. This may result in malfunctions of various systems such as the windshield wipers and defroster, rearview camera, exterior lights, audible warning of a stopped vehicle, and power window operation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems" and number 111, "Rear Visibility" as well as FMVSS numbers 104, 108, 114, 118, and 305.

Risk. Various system malfunctions such as inoperative windshield wipers, defroster, rearview camera, or exterior lighting can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the BCM software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 22, 2021. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is X95.

On February 21, 2022, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation (PE22003) to assess reports of inadvertent activation of the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), an automatic emergency braking (AEB) system, in model year 2017-2019 Honda CR-V and 2018-2019 Honda Accord vehicles. Unknown cause - Heavy Traffic I get all warning lights (idiot) come on. No performance loss but every advisory and caution is illuminated. Tested battery 550amps and regulator was putting out 14 volts so all seemed fine. Check battery terminals and connections, all good. After two days lights go away and everything works fine. When lights and advisory are on, no cruise control, TMPS, lane departure, assisted steering, and anything else in the caution light display doesn't work. Good thing all other aspects of the car work fine. Unable to determine the issue with Why this happens. Seen on line others have had this same issue.

On 09/18/2026, at 103,000 miles, my vehicle suffered a dangerous powertrain failure where numerous dashboard warning lights illuminated and the car suddenly dropped into "Limp Mode" with an immediate loss of acceleration while in active traffic. I took the vehicle to a certified Honda dealership, where technicians officially diagnosed the issue as a "Fuel System Too Rich" condition (Diagnostic Trouble Code P0172). The dealership confirmed that the factory-installed direct fuel injectors are failing prematurely and leaking raw fuel into the engine cylinders. This manufacturing defect causes severe engine oil dilution, where gasoline contaminates the oil pan, creating an immediate stalling hazard and an extreme risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. Online owner forums and dedicated global social media groups indicate that thousands of other 10th-generation Accord owners are experiencing this identical safety defect. Honda corporate has formally denied goodwill assistance, treating this severe engineering flaw as standard wear and tear. The vehicle and failed components are fully available for inspection upon federal request.

The Supplemental Restraint System Problem message along with the airbag light comes and goes on my dash randomly. Anytime I am able to take it to get scanned, it doesn’t show up. Then when I’m driving down the road it will randomly appear. It also appears sometimes when I first start the vehicle. My car has 66,200 miles on it and it first happened at 59,771 miles. The vehicle has never been roughly treated or heavy objects placed in the seats. I believe it is something electrical that is faulty because of failing Honda parts. My car shows there are no recalls for this, but other Accords do have a recall for this issue.

I was reversing my 2020 Honda accord and the power steering light came on. The power steering and steering wheel was hard. The steering then locked up. I couldn’t move the car. This could have been dangerous of another vehicle was coming. After shifting it back to drive, it went away. Now I am concerned the car may do this problem on the road.

The high-pressure and low pressure fuel pump went out on the car and needed to be fixed. There is an open recall on 2020 Honda Accord however my VIN number is not a part of the recall and I think it should be as I have had to fix my low pressure and high high-pressure fuel pump before 100,000 miles.

Hello, I am requesting immediate attention to an issue with my vehicle that I believe is related to a factory defect. The recall service was completed, but the problem was not corrected. The warning lights are still illuminated on the instrument cluster, including ACC and LKAS. Since this issue appears to be related to a factory defect and the vehicle is still under warranty, I am requesting that the vehicle be properly diagnosed and repaired under the factory warranty at no cost to me. I am also concerned about the safety of operating the vehicle while these warning lights remain on. I was driving on the freeway at freeway speed with my Mom and daughter in the car and all of a sudden the car decelerated suddenly to almost a stop, sending us all flying forward. I felt like we had to have hit something, but we didn't; it just felt that way because of the sudden, abrupt stop while going freeway speed. Our bodies are sore this morning as a result. Thankfully, no one was directly behind me at the time, and we didn't get rear-ended. This could have definitely caused fatalities. If I were to have been killed, no one would have known it was a vehicle malfunction. They would have thought I braked hard for some unknown reason. Even if I braked hard, it wouldn't have caused such an impact; this felt like we hit a wall because the wheels seemed to just lock. Very frightening. I'll probably have to take my Mom to get looked over by a doctor due to the flying forward. Her seat belt flung her back, but for elderly people, it could cause some damage. It took me a moment to realize what happened.

The 2020 Honda accord sport 1.5l has a problem with the turbo and fuel injectors going out. I am only at 113,000 miles and should not have this problem. It had come to my attention that this is a known problem with the 2018-2021 Hondas and should have a recall. My car is whining and loosing power going up hills. Please add a recall for this problem.

The Break light flash on my dashboard when I was driving on route 42 doing 65mph

I was driving on 42 at 2:05 a.m. And I was heading towards the exit to get off and I started slowing down and after I took my foot off the brake, the brake light illuminated on my dashboard for me to hit the break, like something was in front of me and there wasn’t anything in front of me.

I’m taking my car to the body shop over five occasions and have to take it back one due for it being a computer chip, which was replaced, but the lights on my dash all of them comes on after the second start up. Cruise control doesn’t work brake code doesn’t work all the lights for staring brakes says to check everything.

I was driving on [XXX] at around 1252AM, and my Brake light lite up on my dashboard, indicating me to press on the break or the car was going to break its self. The roads were clear and dry, there was barely any traffic. If I didn’t press on the brake when the car told me too it would have stopped it’s self cause me and my passenger to get thrown forward and me to get hit in the rear of my car. This has happened on numerous of occasions. All the lights appear on the dash as I'm driving. I've noticed they only appear when I'm driving on rough roads or just sitting in the car while it's running. The next day or so, the lights are off. This should be a recall. So many people are having the same issue.

On July 9-11, 2026, an authorized Honda dealership performed Honda Safety Recall 24-040 involving the fuel pump motor and Honda campaign 21-076 involving replacement of the fuel tank. Approximately five days and 371 miles after the fuel tank replacement, the gasoline pump nozzle became stuck in the fuel filler pipe while refueling. I returned to the same dealership on July 16, 2026. The dealership documented that the pipe guide was “misaligned inside the filler neck” and was “obstructing the fuel hose while refueling the tank.” The dealership reinstalled the filler-neck guide in the correct position and replaced the flap main set under warranty. This problem occurred almost immediately after the dealership had replaced the fuel tank. I have continued experiencing unresolved concerns involving the vehicle after these fuel-system repairs. Because the dealership's own records document a misaligned component shortly after its fuel-tank repair, I no longer have confidence in returning the vehicle to that specific dealership for additional work on the same system. I escalated the matter to American Honda Corporate, including a case manager and a supervisor, and requested assistance obtaining a resolution without returning to the same dealership. Those efforts have not produced a satisfactory remedy. I have been directed back toward dealership-level service despite explaining my documented concerns with the prior repair. My parked 2020 Honda Accord had a spontaneous side curtain airbag deployment with the engine off, which matches the known humidity/short-circuit sensor defects that are currently under Federal safety recall. The deployment caused damage to the interior of my car, as well! There have been no warnings, indications or issues before. There was no collision or impact of any sort. The car will not start and had to be towed to Hugh White Honda, Columbus Rd. Athens, OH. The service department reported that they can’t find the “why” of how it occurred, nor would they be able to repair the damage that occurred from the airbag deployment. The insurance agent said without visible “cause” they will deny any claim.

The fueling system is/has failed. The car randomly stops accelerating while on the highway. Yes, it's available for inspections. The car has stopped accelerating while I was on I95, causing others to have slammed on breaks & swerved to avoid hitting me. Yes. Not yet. No, they only appeared after the failure cause the automatic functions to be disabled as well.

I was driving on the hwy going about 75 mph which is the posted speed when all of a sudden my car went into limp mode almost causing a 18 wheeler to run over top of my car with me and my child in it no warning or anything and the car would only go about 20 miles per hour after of that and now all the lights are on in the dash only have a 115000 miles on the car at this time very unsafe and gonna cause someone to get killed because of something falling on this car

The car has a blown head gasket at 72k miles the odometer. This seems to be a major problem with 2018-2022 honda accords with the 1.5 turbo engine. it also has a bad fuel pump.

I was driving on Route 42 today at around 3:45 and my brake light flashed across my dashboard like I needed to step on my break because there was something in front of me but there was nothing in front of me. This has been going on for over a year now I have reported it multiple times and I'm just trying to see if you guys are going to fix it or inspect it I've cleaned off my radar also to make sure that wasn't the problem and it still does it

1) The infotainment system/8-inch LCD touch screen that controls the system settings is exhibiting ghost/phantom touches and is faulty since July 7th 2026. I tried to self-diagnose it but could not fix it. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection provided I get a loaner car to drive that day. 2) These random touches are constant and are very distracting and when a driver is distracted, it could lead to accidents and more catastrophically, death of one or multiple people due to a crash. I have tried hard to not get distracted but it sure isn't helping. 3) No, it has not been confirmed by a dealer as they want to charge me 200 USD to diagnose an issue for something I have hard evidence on. I have video evidence of it happening when I was driving to ensure this is not a fake report. Multiple people on the internet have reported the same failure mode so this cannot be a one-time or first occurrence. 4) No one has inspected it except me and a few friends as I do not want to pay to diagnose a safety issue on my car. 5) No warning, no messages, no symptoms. Just randomly started to happen on July 7th 2026. This freaked us out as we driving in the night around 11PM on a freeway and the sudden distraction jolted us. 6) I have added a video link, but please note that it expires in 2 days.

The car keeps giving me misfires

Took my car to Honda they stated my head gaskets and turbo charger was bad .. every shop that i talked to about the problem had stated that they have been getting a alot of my models coming in with the same issue

The engine began misfiring, shaking, and losing power, and the check engine light began flashing. The vehicle became unsafe to operate. The failed component is the engine head gasket, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The sudden loss of engine performance created a serious safety concern. I was driving on a public roadway when the engine began misfiring and losing power, making it difficult to safely maintain speed and operate the vehicle. A sudden loss of power while driving increases the risk of being rear-ended or becoming involved in a collision, particularly in traffic, while merging, or at highway speeds. The vehicle was inspected and diagnosed by an authorized Honda dealership, which confirmed the head gasket failure. I also spoke with independent mechanics who were immediately familiar with this type of failure on Honda's 1.5L turbocharged engines. Although Honda diagnosed the problem, my request for goodwill assistance was denied because the vehicle was outside the warranty period. The vehicle has been inspected by Honda and is available for further inspection if requested. It has not been inspected by law enforcement or my insurance company because no accident occurred. As the condition progressed, the engine developed a rough idle and intermittent misfires. Eventually, the check engine light began flashing, and the engine began shaking and

High pressure fuel pump failed at 100,000 miles cause the vehicle to lose power.

Fuel injector began failing resulting in a loss of engine power.

Blown Head Gasket. This caused major cost in repairs and going without a vehicle, This was a known failure issue with Honda 2020 Accord Sport. I have requested a "goodwill claim" with my nearest Honda dealer and not have gotten a phone call nor email. I have all my repair documents and a well maintenance log on my vehicle. With this being a known issue, it should be covered in the lifetime warranty that I received from the dealership when purchased but it excluded seals and gaskets on my paperwork.

I am the original owner of a 2020 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo. The vehicle has developed a check engine light, rough engine operation with misfires, and reduced fuel economy at Mileage: 72,207. The vehicle was diagnosed at Honda of Reseda with failed fuel injectors. American Honda reviewed the matter under Case #16435337 and offered a one-time goodwill accommodation that would require an out-of-pocket payment of $1,058.58 plus applicable fees and taxes. I respectfully declined the offer because fuel injector failures causing these exact symptoms appear to be a known and recurring issue on many 2018–2022 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo models, often occurring at relatively low mileage. Honda has issued technical communications regarding injector-related diagnostic trouble codes (such as P030x and P0172) on these vehicles. I am filing this complaint to document the defect and request a thorough investigation so that a proper recall or comprehensive remedy can be implemented for all affected owners.

All of the warning lights on my dashboard are on causing the car to loose power while driving. According to the dealership and other Honda owners they have this same issue. Why is my car not showing any recalls when clearly this is a manufacturing issue with a lot of Hondas. Dealership is telling me at least $3000 to repair

UNKNOWN. I’ve had an issue with all of the lights on my dash coming on for a few days to a week & going off for a couple days then coming back on. I’ve seen numerous of people with the same issue, spend thousands of dollars after a diagnostic text at a Honda dealership and still experiencing the same issue with no solution.

The car has had the code p0045 turbocharger. Honda was supposed to had repaired it but then the next week it had the same code and problem and they had it for 5 days. I got it back and less than 48 hours the same code came on.

The plastic cover on the bottom is to low to the ground. Multiple times over the years it’s been torn or stuck on parking space separators or when I have to get my car towed it falls down. By this point half of it is gone and all the things under the car are exposed. Right now I barely have any plastic left. I pulled into a parking spot and it caught after it had been repairs and clipped back up there and almost ripped the whole bumper off. That part is too low or not built properly to even allow someone to park in a parking space properly. It’s very dangerous for multiple reasons. The way this was built is not even functional in real life

2018 - 2022 models of the Honda Accord Sport are known to have a issue with the Head Gasket overheating and cracking causing cylinder miss fires and engine issue. Honda has refused to acknowledge the issue as a recall and my car recently suffered the same issue.

I turned my car on and about 10 warning lights came on the car- drove it straight to the dealer where they told me the head gasket was leaking into cylinder 3 gave me an estimate of over 5k. Every mechanic I have called has told me how unusual it is for a car not very old and not over heating to have a blown gasket head. I was looking online and have seen how common the blown gasket head was on Honda accord models 1.5 from 2018-2022. There is nothing in the car no over heating no damage though could have cause it to leak unless it wasn’t properly installed which seeing how common it is might be the case. And how unusual it is according to many mechanics. The car has 115000 miles but has never had an issue and I wasn’t driving or anything when the warning lights came on

The vehicle had been taken to the dealer on multiple occasions to address the failure; however, the dealer could not diagnose the failure. The vehicle was then taken to Honda Of Tomball(22727 Tomball Pkwy, Tomball, TX 77375) where they diagnosed the vehicle with a defective head gasket. The contact refuted the diagnostic and took the vehicle back to the original dealer where they agreed with the contact that there was not an issue with the head gasket. The contact stated that both the battery, coil pack and spark plugs were replaced; however, the failure would return within weeks after repair. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. While driving on a busy highway, the car abruptly entered "limp mode" and stopped accelerating altogether, putting my family’s safety at immediate risk. Simultaneously, all dashboard warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Honda dealership, where technicians confirmed that the sole mechanical issue is a failed head gasket. I take my car for updates (Recall) and now i am being told that the head gasket is blown and damaged the injectors The powertrain might pay for the blown head gasket but not the injectors (which were damaged due to the head gasket blowing) no coolant but the car never ran hot.
