Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2008-2010 Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan and 2007-2011 Dodge Nitro vehicles. These vehicles may have a loose or missing brand emblem in the center of the steering wheel. The loose emblem or the securing nuts for the emblem within the driver air bag module may become projectiles in the event of a driver air bag deployment.

Risk. Projectiles as a result of driver air bag deployment in the event of a crash can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's air bag cover with a redesigned cover, free of charge. The recall began February 11, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W09.

Defect. This defect can affect the safe operation of the airbag system. Until this recall is performed, customers should remove all items from their key rings, leaving only the ignition key. The key fob (if applicable), should also be removed from the key ring. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured June 29, 2007, to June 17, 2010, and 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles manufactured January 26, 2007, to June 17, 2010. Road conditions or some other jarring event may cause the ignition switch to move out of the run position, turning off the engine.

Risk. If the ignition key inadvertently moves into the OFF or ACCESSORY position, the engine will turn off, which will then depower various key safety systems including but not limited to air bags, power steering, and power braking. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ignition switch and key FOBs, free of charge. The recall began on May 26, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R03. Note: This is an expansion of recall 11V-139.

Defect. Chrysler Group, LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured August 25, 2010, through October 31, 2013. The affected vehicles may experience overheating of the vent window switch in the driver's door armrest.

Risk. An overheated switch may result in a vehicle fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the vent window switch with a newer version, free of charge. The owner notification letter was issued and the remedy campaign launched on on December 31, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P25.

Defect. Freedom Motors Inc., (Freedom Motors) of Savaria Vehicle Group (formerly The Liberty Motor Company) is recalling one model year 2009 Volkswagen Routan and certain model year 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country wheelchair accessible vehicles modified by The Liberty Motor Company from February 2008 through January 2011. Over time and with use, the vehicle's rear axle may develop cracks which could lead to axle failure.

Risk. Failure of the rear axle may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Freedom Motors will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected axles, free of charge. The recall began on April 1, 2014. Owners can contact Freedom Motors at 1-800-561-9600. Freedom Motors' number for this recall is ENGF0216-3.

Risk. ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE WIN MODULES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING JULY 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.

While driving my car it stopped all of a sudden leaving the car behind to slide out of control so not to hit me. A light came on. when I read the code it said vehicle ignition switch. This also happened a year ago only the car didn’t stop it slowed down to 5 miles an hour. I did repair it a year ago only for it to happen again. This is a very serious thing as I had my grand babies with me and the car behind me had three children.

While driving my kids to school going on a curve about 15 mph, the car shutdown and loss control of power steering and the braking. Findings upon inspection and diagnostics review, it was determined that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Module is faulty. This component is critical to vehicle ignition and operation. The failure of the WIN module causes the engine to complete shut down while the vehicle was in motion on the highway. The shutdown resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and power breaking functions, leaving the driver with severely reduced control of the vehicle. Such a malfunction poses a significant safety hazard, as the driver is unable to maintain proper handling or safely maneuver the vehicle during operation. The WIN Module has fail and must be replace immediately. Continued operation without repair could result in repeated engine shutdowns, increasing the risk of a crash or serious injury. Need replace the WIN Module with an OEM or certified equivalent part. Reprogram/ reinitialize the module as per manufacturer specifications. Test drive post-repair to ensure reliability and safety.

Recall repair for Chrysler recall W09 did not work. Airbag emblem still peeled from steering wheel. In event that drivers airbag deploys the emblem would be launched at the drivers face which could cause injury.

I have a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country (Sport Van) that has broken down and will not start. At first we thought it was the battery and then the starter. after replacing both parts that could cause for the van to not start. The problem still wasn't fix. We then had an car service center run a diagnostic check to pin point the issue. The diagnostic code shown Number (p0513). This code described the symptoms the van is having, but not while driving. After learning about the diagnostic code we learned that there was a recall. The summary of the recall is as follow: "Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 Dodge Journey, Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town & Country vehicles manufacturer from August 3, 2009. through June 17, 2010. Some vehicles may experience inadvertent ignition key displacement from the run to accessory position while driving causing the engine to shut off". After reading about the issues with this recall, I immediately contacted 2 separate Chrysler dealerships about the recall and the issue I am having with my 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. Both dealerships told me the same thing, that my van wasn't covered under the recall. I was confused as to why and wanted more answers. So my vehicle, the key fob for some odd reason goes from in the run position to the off position, which caused my car to turn off while driving shuts down the entire car and with that makes it hard to stop

The end of the tire stem broke off when I was refilling the tires. This prevented the tires from staying filled and I was nervous about driving the vehicle until I could get it to a shop to be repaired. We replaced all the stems, but replacing the sensors was too expensive. If this damage had occurred while driving, a sudden flat tire could have been very dangerous. Never thought to take pictures for a report until after we had already replaced the valves.
