The metal cables on the car seat that attach it to base, one of them is fraying. I noticed this today when I brought the car seat inside to remove the car seat cover to wash.

I have had a coolant leak but haven't been able to find it until now. It is below the thermostat housing, between the manifolds and the metal tube that hooks the bottom of the thermostat to the manifold. I know there is a recall issued for this but it doesn't seem to come up on my truck. In my opinion it should.

After making a sharp right turn tie rod came loose from steering rod. After inspection the threads on the steering rod seem to be too small for the tie rod. The truck has been taken care of and only has 75000 miles on it. The new tie rod I installed was also loose on the steering rod. The threads were not stripped, rusty or damaged in anyway. This truck has never had any work or been damaged. I have never had front end lined up because tires have not had any wear indicating misalignment.

Transmission and rear end jerking when putting in or taking out of park, reverse or drive and now doesn't want to go forward when putting it in drive and I can't get it to shift out and transmission fault light came on and I re set it by taking black cable off battery and put transmission fluid in it and it still does it and also headlights doesn't work on bright and power steering pump makes noise and it's full of fluid I don't know if it is leaking or what small stuff I can deal with but major transmission and engine stuff on truck I can't.

The ABS CONTROL MODULE has gone out therefore there isn’t any all wheel braking control for the vehicle. I know of my vehicle and several more that have this same problem. They range from 2007 up to 2012. With this problem also they will not pass State Emissions Inspection. I just inherited my vehicle. I was the owner of a repair shop and had several pickups with this very problem. This repair cost from Ford is over $1,000.00. This seems to be a recurring failure with the brake system.

I’m wondering why there is no recall on the frames my truck has 96k and the frame is almost gone 2007 f-150

While driving lost power from 70 mph to 45 mph drove it slow home Once I parked check engine light and noticed smoke coming from behind and lower part of engine after checking for heat source noticed glowing areas it was the insulation between engine and floor I had to use extinguisher in 4 areas to extinguish I disconnected battery power

275/65/R18 116T First purchased 4 Cooper Adventurer H/T tires mileage was currently 199201 on May/2020. Only driven for work commute of 25miles. Cooper Adv H/T brand first replacement on front tires only due to one of the tires having bulging on the side wall of the tire, was informed possible defect and then it was changed to being worn out by possible construction/bad roads. 24450 mileage at the time of replacement on Aug/2022. There was a replacement of the second front tire In between the time period and was told by a different manager it was not a defect whom seemed hostile when I mentioned the first manager mentioned the last tire had a possible bulge defect. Paid normally price no discount. Currently now have the same bulging on front driver side wall from those replacements along with a watermark lining on the wall of the tire and mileage now is just around 255120.

The component was disposed of. The vehicle stopped in the fast lane. Possibility to be hit from behind, Ford denied my claim. There were no warnings of the failure. Galvanic corrosion.

The phasers and the timing chain and tensioners is failing. This is premature failure due to engineering mistakes in the design. This is a safety critical walk home failure. Failure will destroy the engine (interference engine). Complete loss of all power and lock up of engine. Mechanic said the only remedy is a rebuilt engine. A reputable engine rebuilder states in their ad on the internet that they have corrected the Ford Motor Company engineering design mistakes in the 5.4l Triton engine.

Shifting the automatic transmission from gear to gear with the shifting lever has become extremely difficult. can this be rectified with lubrication at some point? Thankyou

We are having constant problems with cylinders misfiring. Once we get one fixed, another one breaks. It’s a constant issue.

Vehicle reports “check charging system” which has an associated TSB but no recall. My understanding is that the AC drips water on the alternator harness causing degradation and shorting of the wires. A new wiring harness as well as a drain relocation kit are required. I do not believe the customer should be responsible for this repair.

Spark plug blow out. Yes it is available for inspection. Ongoing very common issues with triton engines blowing out spark plugs making a fire hazard because fuel vapor coming out of plug hole could be ignited by coil pack. All ford dealerships are very aware of this issue and have repaired many by rethreading and installing a helicoil thread repair kit at a very high price of 800 dollars and most repairs are temporary because the aluminum is weak and very thin at the spark plug hole. Ford is very aware of this ongoing issue and denies any liability experts don’t agree with fords arguments. No warning the plugs start to blow out at around 140000 miles well after the warranty. This problem started in the 90s all triton engines are affected. As in the photo the dealers attempt to repair was unsuccessful the spark plug is tightened to deep into the head and is broken off. They said at the end of the day I need a new head. 5000 dollars.

Speedometer sticks at 60 mph on idle or when it’s turned off. Does not Reflect actual speed of car. There are multiple cars with F150 with the similar complaint

THE CONTACT REVVED THE ENGINE TO RESUME NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. THE CONTACT USED A SCAN TOOL TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE AND DISCOVERED THAT CHAFING ON THE WIRING HARNESS HAD CAUSED THE FAILURE. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 175,000.

TRANSMISSION COOLING LINE GOING THROUGH RADIATOR FAILED CAUSING COOLANT TO MIX WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID. RESULTING IN TRANSMISSION FAILURE. TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE ENTIRELY REBUILT AND RADIATOR ALSO HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS OCCURRED AT HIGHWAY SPEED.

WHEN IDLE IT HAS A ROUGH SOUND CHANGED FADERS AND SENORS STILL SAME...IT HAS A SO TRYING GAS SMELL AROUND IT AND WHEN DRIVING IT IT MAY SHUT OFF AND ALSO IT DRIVES LIKE IT NEEDS A TUNE UP BUT HAS RECENTLY HAD ONE....THE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY IS ALSO ACTING UP

FRAME, BRAKE LINES AND ALL METAL UNDER CARRIAGE CORRODED TO THE POINT OF BEING UNSAFE. BODY ONLY HAS MINIMAL RUST ON REAR CORNER PILLARS. UNSAFE TO OPERATE.

AFTER HITTING THE HIGHWAY MEDIAN WALL AT A HIGH SPEED, THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND I WAS INJURY IN THE ACCIDENT.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION AT THE SCENE AND WAS LATER TRANSPORTED TO A HOSPITAL. THE OTHER DRIVER WAS ALSO TREATED AT THE SCENE BUT HIS INJURIES WERE UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BROKEN RIGHT ARM AND A BROKEN RIGHT FEMUR. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A LOCAL JUNK YARD. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 141,000.

EXHAUST SMELL/RAW GAS SMELL COMING THROUGH THE HEATING DUCT SYSTEM INTO THE CAB OF TRUCK. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN USING THE HEATING/DEFROST SYSTEM. DOESN'T MATTER IF THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR AT REST. MUST CRACK WINDOW FOR FRESH AIR OR TURN OFF HEATING/DEFROST SYSTEM. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE MID NOVEMBER BUT ONLY WHEN TURNING ON THE HEATING/DEFROST SYSTEM. HAPPENS AT HWY SPEEDS AND LOCAL DRIVING SPEED BETWEEN 30-50 MPH.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO AVOID A DEER, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, FACE, AND CHEST THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: 190668604 WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 293,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EVERY TIME HE ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE VEHICLE, IT MISFIRED. THE CONTACT OCCURRED DAILY SINCE MAY OF 2019. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CAMSHAFT, TENSIONERS, TIMING CHAIN, VCT VALVES, AND SPARK PLUGS WERE CHANGED BY THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.

EVERY VEHICLE THAT FORD PUT OUT WITH A CAM PHASER IS EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THE CAN PHASER. ANY SAE CERTIFIED MECHANIC WILL VERIFY THIS. THIS IS A HORRIBLE DESIGN. WHY HASN'T FORD STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND FIXED THIS ISSUE? I BELIEVE THEY ARE TRYING TO BURY IT SO THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO INCUR THE COST OF FIXING THEIR MISTAKE. DUE TO THIS ISSUE I'VE BEEN STRANDED ON THE HIGHWAY. THE TRUCK LOOSES POWER, WON'T GO INTO GEAR....ETC....THIS HAPPENS AFTER THE CAN PHASER HAS ACTIVATED AND THEN I COME TO A STOP. THEN IT'S MISFIRING STALLING NOT GOING INTO GEAR...YOU NAME IT IT'S AN ISSUE. A COMPUTE READ ON THE OBD2 STAYED THAT I HAD MISSES IN IGNITION COILS 1,3 AND 7 REPLACED THEM THEN THE TEACHING STAYED MISFIRED IS 2,4 AND 5 REPLACED THEM AND ALL THE SAME ISSUES... EVERY MECHANIC I'VE SPOKEN TO SAYS ABSOLUTEY THE PHASES AND THAT THEY HAVE TO PUT A CAM PHASER DELETE KIT IN THESE VEHICLES DO GET RID OF THESE PROBLEMS. WHY HASN'T FORD BEEN HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH A TERRIBLE DESIGN?

THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY POST OF 8/14/19, CONCERNING FRAME RUST ON MY 2007 F150. THE TRUCK HAS NOW BEEN INSPECTED BY A COMPETENT BODY SHOP WITH THE BOX TAKEN OFF. THERE IS MORE RUST ON THE FRAME THAN ON THE TITANIC, NO HOPE OF FIXING IT. SO FAR FORD DOESN'T WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING. SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED IF THIS ISN'T ADDRESSED. THERE ARE A LOT OF THESE TRUCKS OUT THERE WITH A SERIOUSLY UNEXPECTED LEVEL OF RUST. LOOKING FOR OPTIONS!!

TRANSMISSION SLIPPING IN REVERSE.IT THROWS UP THE CODE PO720, WHICH IS THE OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR. THE VEHICLE IS INCAPABLE OF TOWING ANYTHING. THIS IS AN ISSUE FOR THIS SPECIFIC TRANSMISSION DATED ALL THE WAY BACK TO 2002.WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE LESS THAN A YEAR AGO.

I WENT TO HAVE MY BRAKES REPLACED ON MY F-150 WITH 54,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AND THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THE FRAME WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT AND THAT HE WAS ABLE TO PUT A SCREWDRIVER THROUGH IT. HE DIDN'T WANT TO INSTALL THE BRAKES. I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK SINCE NEW AND IT HAS (MOSTLY) BEEN GARAGED THROUGHOUT. THE BODY PANELS, INTERIOR , TRANSMISSION, ENGINE, ETC. ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. IT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM REPORTED BY MANY OTHERS, SO I'M NOT SURE WHY THERE HASN'T BEEN A FORD RECALL ON THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT'S OBVIOUSLY BEEN GOING ON FOR SOME TIME, BUT I NEVER LOOKED UNDER THE TRUCK TO SEE THE EXTENT OF THE RUST, GIVEN THAT THE BODY WAS IN GREAT SHAPE (NO RUST).

I HAVE A 2007 F150 WITH 96,460 MILES. DRIVES ON PA ROADS NEVER OFF ROAD AND NO HAULING. DRIVER SIDE FRAME RAIL IS RUSTED AT A POINT IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE FORWARD MOUNTING BRACKET OF THE REAR LEAF SPRING. THE AMOUNT OF RUST IS EXTENSIVE. THE INNER WALL OF THE RAIL IS RUSTED THROUGH CREATING A HOLE APPROX. 10 INCHES LONG AND RANGING FROM THE HEIGHT OF THE RAIL TAPERING REARWARD TO ABOUT 3/4 OF AN INCH. THE BOTTOM OF THE FRAME RAIL IS ALSO RUSTED THROUGH AT A POINT WHERE IT MEETS THE SPRING'S MOUNTING BRACKET. ALTHOUGH THE METAL APPEARS SOMEWHAT INTACT THERE IS NO STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. THIS LEAVES ONLY THE UPPER PORTION AND OUTSIDE WALL OF THE FRAME RAIL INTACT BUT ALSO RUSTED. BASED ON MY OBSERVATION THIS TRUCK CANNOT BE DRIVEN SAFELY. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY SOLUTION OTHER THAN TO REPLACE THE FRAME BUT THIS WILL BE DETERMINED BY A PROFESSIONAL IN THE NEAR FUTURE. AS TO THE CAUSE I DO NOT KNOW. THIS DAMAGE WAS FIRST NOTED TODAY 8/14/2019 AND WAS NOT DETECTED DURING AN INSPECTION IN 12/2018

TRUCK LOOSING POWER AND TAPPING AND KNOCKING NOISE, WAS TOLD IT IS PHAZERS AND TIMING CHAINS AND VCT'S AND COULD JUST STOP RUNNING WHILE DRIVING IF THE PHAZERS LOCK UP. NOW I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING IT HAS 1700000 MILES AND FORD IS NOT STANDING BEHIND EVEN THO I HAVE TALKED TO DOZENS OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

FIRST THE TRANS WENT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE AT 1130 AT NIGHT WITH MY NEWBORN. THEN THE ENGINE WENT AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK. WE FOUND OUT IT WAS THE CAM PHASERS WHICH WE HAD TO REPLACE THE ENGINE FOR. WE HAVE DONE $8000 IN REPAIRS AND IT'S NOT RECALLED??

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERENCED TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: 07-13-5. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 137,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ROBICHAUX FORD (985-446-3100, LOCATED AT 272 W MAIN ST, THIBODAUX, LA 70301) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED.
