Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.

Risk. A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with third-row seating; and 2019-2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 SuperCab vehicles. The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."

Risk. Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy. Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2020 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental vehicles equipped with the 360-degree camera system. Degradation of the camera's anit-reflective lens coating can lead to a foggy or cloudy rearview camera image.

Risk. Lack of a clear rearview camera image can reduce the driver's visibility of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 F-150, Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Due to a poor electrical connection, the rearview camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A rearview camera that displays a blank or distorted image can reduce the drivers view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2022 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty vehicles equipped with gasoline engines and aluminum driveshafts. Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.

Risk. A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. Additionally, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and repair the driveshaft as necessary, and properly attach the underbody insulators, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 7, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S09.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018 F-150, 2018-2020 F-250, F-350, and 2019 Escape vehicles equipped with Continental tires. On the affected vehicles, it is possible that one or more tires were cured for too long during tire production.

Risk. Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall, resulting in sudden air loss or belt edge separation which could lead to tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

Risk. If the steering locks, it can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2020. Owners may contact Icon customer service at 1-951-689-4266.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2019 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 SuperCrew Cab vehicles with carpet flooring. If a front seat belt pretensioner deploys as the result of a crash, the sparks may ignite materials such as carpeting or insulation within the B-pillar area.

Risk. A vehicle fire could result if materials ignite inside the vehicle.

Remedy. Ford will notify owners, and dealers will apply heat resistant tape to the carpet and its insulation, and modify the B-Pillar insulation as necessary, free of charge. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks equipped with an electric tailgate latch release switch mounted in the tailgate handle. Water may enter the electrical wiring system and cause a short circuit, activating the switch and releasing the tailgate latches.

Risk. Unintended tailgate opening may allow unrestrained cargo to fall out of the truck bed and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Ford will notify owners, and dealers will modify the tailgate/frame wiring harnesses by adding jumper pigtails to isolate the tailgate release control circuits and will install a new tailgate handle release switch, free of charge. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018-2019 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty trucks. The Daytime Running Lights (DRL) may not dim when the headlight switch is moved into the "On" position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. DRL that cannot dim may reduce the visibility of other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Ford F-150 and 2017-2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, and F-550 Super Duty pick-up trucks equipped with an engine block heater and previously remedied under recall 18V894. During the previous repair, the block heater cable's splice connector may have been damaged.

Risk. A damaged cable could cause a resistive short, increasing the risk of overheated or melted wiring, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Ford will notify owners, and dealers will disable the engine block heater from being used. When replacement cables become available, a second notice will be mailed and dealers will replace the engine block heater cord, free of charge. The recall began May 31, 2019. On October 9, 2026 at approximately 8:30 AM, my 2019 Ford F-250 6.7L Power Stroke diesel, with 76,512 miles, suffered a catastrophic high-pressure fuel injection pump failure while traveling approximately 55 mph on FM 3351 near Camp Stanley, Texas. The vehicle displayed “Speed Limited” and “Reduced Engine Power” warnings, then lost throttle response and propulsion and the engine shut down while moving. Steering and braking effort increased substantially after the engine stopped. The truck would crank but would not restart. Alamo Diesel Service, an independent diesel repair facility, confirmed no fuel-rail pressure, fuel leaking in the engine valley, and that the injection pump had “blown and cracked the head.” Inspection revealed metallic debris and extensive fuel-system contamination requiring replacement/repair of the pump, injectors, rails, fuel lines, return lines and filters, plus cleaning of the tank and cooler. The estimate is $11,193.97. Diagnostic codes included P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low) and P2291. P0087 freeze-frame data recorded the vehicle at 54.68 mph and 1,300 RPM, confirming the fuel-pressure failure occurred while driving. There were no prior fuel-system problems and the fuel filters were recently replaced. I am concerned because there is a long, documented history of failures involving this type of high-pressure diesel fuel pump, including failures that can introduce metal into the fuel system and cause loss of propulsion. NHTSA Vehicle Safety Complain To whom it may concern, My Name is [XXX] I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine (VIN: [XXX]). At approximately 137,900 miles, my vehicle suddenly lost engine power while driving and stalled without warning, creating a serious safety hazard. After stalling, the truck would not restart and had to be towed to a repair facility. The repair shop diagnosed a catastrophic failure of the diesel high-pressure fuel injection pump. According to the repair invoice, fine metallic flakes were found throughout the entire fuel system, contaminating the fuel lines, fuel tank, injectors, and related components. Because of this contamination, the shop determined that the entire fuel system required replacement, including replacement of all eight fuel injectors, cleaning of the fuel tank and fuel lines, replacement of the fuel filter, and installation of an upgraded diesel injection pump. The estimated repair cost exceeded $11,000, resulting in a significant financial burden. I understand that Ford Safety Recall 24S78 addresses a high-pressure fuel pump issue on certain 2020–2022 Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with the same 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, there was an abnormal diesel odor on the inside of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 65 MPH, and there was white to gray smoke coming from under the hood. The contact pulled over with the engine still running and after opening the hood, the contact became aware of diesel fuel squirting out from the secondary fuel filter. The contact stated that the fire consumed the vehicle. The fire was coming from underneath the driver's side hood and driver’s side wheel well. The Fire Department was contacted and extinguished the fire coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot, and it was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 144,000.

I experienced a severe, violent, and uncontrollable front-end suspension and steering wheel oscillation—commonly known as the "Ford Super Duty Death Wobble." While traveling at highway speeds approximately 70mph, I came across a bridge expansion joint (nothing unusual) and immediately upon impacting the joint, the front axle began shaking so violently that it caused a sudden, near-total loss of steering control. The violent shaking made it nearly impossible to maintain a straight lane of travel, risking a catastrophic multi-vehicle collision. The steering wheel jerked violently side-to-side, forcing me to rapidly and dangerously decelerate in active highway traffic to regain control of the vehicle. This defect created an extreme, unpredictable safety hazard. I immediately let-off the accelerator with some braking to stop the oscillation and regain control. A local specialty alignment shop previously attempted an adjustment, as I had experienced this a couple of months before (although not as severe as this most recent incident) on [XXX] in eastern [XXX]. The adjustment temporarily masked the underlying issue for approximately 2.5 months before the violent oscillation returned as I am reporting now. I am filing a complaint against Capital Auto Mall Premier regarding the sale of a 2019 Ford F\-250 Lariat \(VIN [XXX]\) that I purchased on XXX. The vehicle was represented as being in good working condition at the time of sale. However, almost immediately after taking possession of the vehicle, I began discovering numerous mechanical, electrical, and safety\-related defects. Due to the number of concerns, I had the vehicle independently inspected shortly after purchase. The inspection identified multiple significant issues, including transmission hard shifting, transfer case clunking during shifting, battery failure requiring replacement, steering and suspension concerns, excessive play in front suspension components, and numerous diagnostic trouble codes stored in the vehicle's systems. In addition to these findings, I discovered issues involving vehicle lighting, winch operation, and other features and equipment that were not functioning properly despite being expected to be operational at the time of sale. These issues became apparent within days of purchasing the vehicle. The quantity and severity of the defects lead me to believe that the vehicle was not in the condition represented during the sale and that material defects may not have been properly disclosed before the transaction occurred. Experienced the oft reported death wobble while driving home from TN and had to limp my vehicle home while experiencing the constant, extreme and dangerous wobbling.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH on a cross-country move, the rear windshield was loose and was shaking inside the frame. The contact stated the rear glass remained attached and hanging within the frame. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer replaced the rear window frame and window bracket, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

While driving the truck completely just shutdown and then would not start.

At around 139,000 miles i started to noticed some intermittent noise coming from the drivetrain. I took it to two different repair shops and was told it was tire noise. over time the grinding noise increased to the point of shuddering and jerking while shifting with no warning lamps showing. At 144,500 miles I contacted my aftermarket warranty and they said to take it to a certified shop to get it checked out. They did not have any preferred shops in my area so I took it to US Automotive. At 145,000 miles the shop contacted the warranty company and proceeded with investigation of the issue. After inspection and tear down they confirmed the transmission had the typical failure for the 10R80 10-speed automatic transmissions. They turned over there findings and the warranty company which has agreed to the findings and has offered a replacement used transmission with 125,000 miles on it and will also not cover the full cost to install the used unit. I feel that this is fraud and outside of the warranty agreement. I am now paying the expense to put the original transmission back into the truck to try to take it the 2.5 hours back to the dealership which sold me the truck along with the warranty to see what they will do in the matter. I hope it doesn't fail on the highway on the way.

My truck transmission changes gears randomly while in motion. It is terrifying when it happens in traffic and the truck stalls and looses power then kicks back in with a loud noise. I stopped driving it since March of 2026.

Original Fuel pump stated intermittent long cracks about 35,000 miles. And continues to do so. It seems like FORD uses the all time favorite “ we cannot recreate the issue” in order to send the customer on their way and not take ANY responsibility whatsoever ,WOW! Its rediculous that they don’t want to acknowledge the issue after thousands of customers complain. Our whole family has been riding in this vehicle when the truck experienced the truck lag and turn off at highway speeds. Does someone have to be hurt or killed by this for this company to finally own up? I hope none does!!! Make it right FORD!!! Yet they changes and updated the newer trucks pumps after this, why? While driving at highway speeds, I drove over an expansion joint on a bridge and experienced violent shaking of the vehicle. This included violent shaking of the steering wheel and interior of the truck. I also slowed down to under 30 mph on the highway to stop the shaking. This occurred several other times and, upon researching, found it to be called a "death wobble". I brought my truck to a Ford dealership service center and mentioned the death wobble, which was immediately acknowledged. This cost $1758 out of pocket to fix. From research I have done, it seems all suspension components should not need any type of repair or replacement prior to reaching 50,000 miles, with some components lasting as much as 100,000 miles.

My husband was driving our 2019 F250 on the highway at over 75 mph and the truck totally shut down/stalled without warning, could have killed him or another person, lucky he was able to coast to the shoulder and stop, we took to the Ford dealership and was caused by the faulty CP4 fuel pump the truck was made with that has had class action lawsuits and recalls, we are out of pocket over $14,000 to rebuild entire fuel system due to the fact that fuel pump is NOT compatible with our diesel fuel leading to metal shavings build up in fuel system. Our truck still has no recall on this and it should and we should be reimbursed for the extremely expensive and lengthy repair, this is a very dangerous issue. The mechanic also stated he "duplicated" the stall when he go on the highway and hit speeds over 60 mph, thank goodness he is ok as well.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250 equipped with Cooper Tires, Tire Line: Discoverer AT3, Tire Size: 295/60/R20, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH and hauling a trailer, the vehicle jolted into oncoming traffic and started wobbling. The contact regained control of the vehicle and eventually steered to the side of the road and parked the vehicle. The contact became aware of a flat spot on the tire, and the spare tire was placed on the driver’s side front. The contact continued driving, and the wobbling became controllable at speeds under 50 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the contact observed that the driver's side front tire had tire separation in the middle of the tire. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 37,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 52,000.

Without warning while I was driving at ~70 mph on the highway the engine in my truck died and left me with no power brakes or power steering in busy traffic. This is a very scary situation to be in. I pulled over and checked the truck best I could. Started it back up and carefully pulled back out onto the highway when it died again. I took it to the closest Ford service center and after diagnosis, they told me the CP4 pump is failing and will need to be replaced at a cost of ~$14,000. My research shows this is a common issue for Ford for a certain year range which my truck is in and they have recently paused the recall addressing the issue so the recall is not showing up when searching my VIN. I would appreciate Ford claiming that this is a safety issue and reimburse me for my out of pocket costs.

2019 Ford F-250 original fuel pump or related part connected cause hard and prolonged starting in vehicle. Prolonged starts can damage other parts if left unfixed. Unstable control when driving over uneven roads. Are you sure that recall was done on my truck?

While driving on I-44 at approx. 70 MPH (12:30 PM, bright sunny day, lots of traffic), I hit a bump (not large or deep, just your ordinary bump on a U.S. Interstate), the truck began shaking violently (I'm talking hard to control, teeth rattling, I think we are going to crash). The steering wheel shook violently, my wife was startled, I managed to get it down to abut 45 MPH and the shaking stopped. I was 300 miles from home and it happened at least six more times before I got home.

Ford Diesel 250 flat out stalled while driving on a very congested Highway. Full tank of Diesel. No warning. Complete stall at 65MPH, no brakes, no power steering, no lights. Was almost killed when the truck almost crashed into a bus. Happened (4) more times as we made our way back home. Internet search shows that Ford Motor Company is fully aware of this common failure of their fuel system. Federal regulators need to pressure Ford for a Recall before someone is killed

The fuel pump blew up in our F250 while driving a main road on Thursday [XXX]. The vehicle was towed to the nearby facility to investigate the situation. Vehicle shuts off while traveling down the highway with no warning. I was able to not panic as this happened on interstate hwy while in middle lane was able to shift to neutral and restart vehicle shift back in drive and go on. The potential for a much worse result was huge I have to imagine a lot of drivers may not think of what I did and allowed the vehicle to come to a stop on the highway creating an obvious hazard

My fuel pump on this truck went out at 130,000 miles. This repair is quoted at $12,500. When this pump went out it caused the truck to stall while driving. This truck stalled while crossing two lanes of traffic on a highway with a speed limit of 55-60mph.
