The vehicle will not start. There will be times that it will start nicely but we are unsure on when the next failed start will be. When turning the key in the ignition it will just light up the dashboard and radio but will not turn over or start. Sometimes we are able to get it to start after a few tries, other times is has taken us an entire day to get it to start. Not very reliable since we purchased this vehicle for pulling a camping trailer and we are afraid that it will leave us stranded. Some research has indicated that maybe the circuit board is bad, but i have seen no recalls or anything specific coming from Ford Company. Last occurrence was Thanksgiving Day when we were visiting family out of town!!

TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON THE INTERSTATE THE TRUCK BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN SHAKING SO HARD THAT I HAD DIFFICULTY HOLDING ONTO IT. THE TRUCK WAS OUT OF CONTROL AND I ALMOST WENT INTO THE GUARD RAIL BEFORE I COULD SLOW DOWN TO A STOP AND BRING THE TRUCK UNDER CONTROL. I MADE IT TO MY DESTINATION AND LOOKED AT THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TRUCK AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING BROKEN. ON THE WAY BACK HOME, THE TRUCK DID THE SAME THING AGAIN AFTER HITTING A BUMP AND I HAD TO STOP AGAIN TO GET THE STEERING WHEEL TO STOP SHAKING - WHICH WAS VERY CONCERNING BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC I WAS IN. THERE WAS NO WARNING EITHER TIME THAT THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW!

Driving on the highway at speeds above 60 mph and hitting seams or bumps in the road, the front suspension starts to violently shake. It is random when it happens. The shaking causes the whole truck and steering wheel to shake uncontrollably. The only way to stop the shaking is to slow to below 40 mph. This happens at random places and times. There is no warning and the entire truck and steering wheel is fully involved in violent shaking within 3 seconds.

I was driving on US 59 while pulling a 30' Airstream Travel trailer with my 2019 F250 truck when the steering system started violently shacking preventing from controlling the vehicle. The truck and trailer veered across the center line before I could regain control. I was traveling 65 mph at the time. In May 2023, I was notified by Ford that the warranty for the steering damper had been extended as there have issues with steering system vibrating excessively preventing control of the vehicle. This need to be change to an immediate safety recall.

I was driving on I-215E in Las Vegas on October 16, 2023 at approximately 5:15pm, and I hit a bump in the road around 1 mile west of the I-15 interchange. I was moving at approximately 65 MPH and my truck started violently shaking. I was forced to come to a nearly complete stop in rush hour traffic to stop the shaking and ultimately had to pull over to the shoulder to take a pause before being able to continue my commute. Fortunately, I was not towing my boat, but I feel that this could have been a deadly accident if I was towing. This is a major problem.

Death wobble has occurred multiple times. First in Dec 2021, truck had 15k miles. Was driving down the road and entire truck began to violently shake, was hard to keep the truck on the road without wrecking and hitting someone head on. Took to dealership and they replaced the steering stabilizer. Happened again Jan 2023 with 23k miles. Took it to dealership and they changed part again. Then in April 2023 it happened with 26k miles. Once again they changed the steering stabilizer. The most recent was last week Oct 2023 with 33k miles, the truck began to have the death wobble none stop on my way home. It was so bad that I had to pull over numerous times. The 1st time it happened, it kept pulling and shaking so bad that a car had to run off the road to avoid me hitting them head on. I could not drive above 40mph the rest of the way home without it occurring over and over. After arguing about getting the problem fixed since it was no longer under original warranty, they still have my truck a week later. So far they say they have changed the steering stabilizer again, the steering stabilizer bar, and the track bar. Right before they closed they sent a message saying it was ready to go, but I wasn't able to pick it up in time. This is a horrific experience when you are traveling at highway speeds and this occurs. It is the most violent shaking I have ever experienced. Feels like the wheels are going to fall off and you cannot get it to stop until the speed drops below 40mph. That c

1) Front suspension Death Wobble causing loss of control of truck. 2) Lost control of the vehicle running off the road at 70 mph through a fence. 3) Ford has attempted to repair the truck 3 times, the warranty company claimed there is no probem withe the truck the 4th time and declined repair. 4) Pictures have been supplied to insurance, no other inspections. 5) There are no warnings. The first time the issue appears was about 25K miles. I have had my 2019 Ford F250 truck in the shop 4 times for a total of close to 90 days for the Ford Truck Death Wobble. The last time in the shop MPP, Inc. declined to repair the issue. On 9/20/2023, the truck started the Death Wobble causing loss of control and running through a barbed wire fence causing significant damage. Also, Ford has never been able to get the parts to complete the recall during the times I have had the truck in the shop.

I was driving by myself with my two small dogs on the interstate at approximately 70 mph when I ran over uneven pavement. Without any warning my truck began to shake so violently the dogs became terrified and hid under the seats and I briefly lost control of the vehicle. I was certain I had blown a tire. I decelerated quickly and looked for an opportunity to move out of traffic and pull over. I am incredibly blessed that I did not cause nor was injured in an accident. My truck was completely out of control for approximately 90 seconds. As i decelerated the truck regained drivability and the violent shaking dissipated. I am unsure which actual components may have failed, but my vehicle is available for inspection at any time. My safety, that of many others traveling on I-95, and the safety of my two dogs were put at serious risk of bodily harm or fatality at the complete and total loss of control of the vehicle. The problem has not been reproduced because I had no idea what had caused it. In August of 2023 my vehicle was inspected at a Ford dealership in Brainerd, MN and the only issue that was discovered was a mildly leaking rear pinion seal but the rear differential fluid was still full. The real differential fluid was checked again just prior to Labor Day weekend at Jiffy lube in Aiken, SC and also found to be full. The vehicle has been inspected by a Ford dealership in August, 2023 but not by the original manufacturer, police, or insurance representative. Absolutely zero w

While driving on the interstate in South Dakota I may have driven over a small bump in the road. I was in the passing lane. The truck immediately started shaking and I felt like I was going to lose control of the truck. Weather conditions were perfect, sunny and the road was completely dry. I immediately started braking thinking perhaps I had blown out a tire but the truck continued to shake violently while I tried to move back into the driving lane and on to the shoulder of the road. The truck did not quit shaking until I had stopped the vehicle on the shoulder. There was a lot of traffic on the interstate as the Sturgis motorcycle rally had just ended and I had a cyclist behind me as I pulled back into the drivers lane however he had enough space and time to allow me over. I checked my tires and all were fine so I slowly tried pulling back onto the interstate and the truck performed as it should. I drove at a much slower speed making sure it did not happen again. I did some research online and found what is called "the death wobble on Ford trucks" and feel this is exactly what I encountered. I feel this is a very unsafe condition that should be reported and felt necessary to issue this report.

Recall #22V644 is coming up on a 1 yr anniversary and Ford has yet to fix my truck. Weeks ago I saw on this website that the parts are now available. I called one dealer, Covington Ford, in Covington Georgia, and was told the parts had to be ordered. I gave all my info and have not heard back from them. I then called Athens Ford in Athens Georgia and was told the parts would have to be ordered. This is ridiculous! If parts are now available why don't these dealers have them to make repairs to affected vehicles. More importantly, why hasn't Ford reached out to owners of these vehicles to tell them parts are now available. I would like for NHTSA to force Ford to repair my vehicle. Thanks Mike

At less than 10,000 miles, on a curve, my truck began shacking uncontrollably, putting me in to oncoming traffic and into a ditch. I was able to control it enough and an accident didn’t occur. I contacted my salesman and he said it was known as the death wobble. He told me to bring it in. I took it in and they explained that they can put a steering damper on it, but it wouldn’t fix the problem and they needed to replace several parts. I said it’s under warranty so do it. They explained it wouldn’t be covered and the only thing Ford would pay for would be the dampener. I told them to do it. At app. 32,000 miles it has happened again. I feel that Ford is not taking responsibility and that it could cost my life, as well as others.

Since purchasing the truck new I have experienced a VIOLENT shaking of the truck after hitting a small (1-2 inch) bump on the freeway. The shaking did not abate until I slowed to about 15 MPH. This has occurred about a dozen times over the course of the last three years. It also occurred while my son (a police sergeant and driving instructor) was towing a boat to the lake, nearly causing an accident. He also owns a 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty but it has never happened while driving his truck, only mine. I have made numerous attempts to get the truck repaired by Ford to no avail. I sincerely believe someone is going to die if this issue is not resolved, I only pray it is not me or one of my family members. For the forthcoming questions I am using the first time it occurred. I don't have a record of every time it occurred.

On June 5. 2023, My family was on the way to Dallas. In Huntsville, TX, we were driving approximately 68MPH when we hit an small divet in the roadway. The truck then began to shake violently and would not cease until we pulled off the highway to a complete stop. After checking the truck over, no apparent damage had caused the occurence. I had heard previously about a "Death Wobble" and after some online research, determined this is what had occured. We immediately called our local Ford (Gullo Ford in Conroe, TX) dealership to find that there were no "active recalls" but that if it was determined that a part was causing this, they might repair it after a $140 diagnostic fee. we scheduled an appointment and continued on our trip hoping the occurence would not happen again. In the matter of less than an hour, it occured 4 more times and I deteremined that for my safety and my families safety that we would find a local dealership and try to fins another vehicle to complete our trip. I personally did not feel safe driving the vehicle anymore until the problem was fixed. Luckily, the Ford Dealer in Corsicanna ( Brinson Ford) had heard of the issue and was able to put a band-aid fix (free of charge) on the issue but advised it could happen again. On 6/4/23 I was on SR 2 in Erie county ,Ohio. The speed limit was 70 mph and my cruise control was set at 70 mph & traffic was fairly heavy. I passed over an expansion joint and my steering wheel started shaking violently back and forth and the vehicle was nearly uncontrollable. The other vehicles near me fortunately saw I was having trouble and luckily they were able to steer clear of me. The only way I got it to quit was to veer to the shoulder, break hard and bring it to a complete stop. After gaining my composure I cautiously pulled back on highway with my warning lights on and did 40 mph to the next exit. Slowly made my way back home not knowing if it was going to reoccur. It was amazing that I or anyone near me wasn’t injured or killed! If my wife would have been driving there is no way she would have been able to control it.

After speaking with the dealer they will repair. Using new parts identical to the ones that failed. With no guarantee that it would not happen again in the future. I feel my truck is completely unsafe to drive. Especially when there's zero warning that this could happen again in the future. The housing for the headlights have started to delaminate from the inside of the housing and starting to create a problem with the effective lighting and turn signal area. Where the delaminating is occurring, the lens has a milky , etched, , water spot film like appearance clearly on the inside of the housing. Since it first appeared , it has grown in size on both headlamps and appears that it will continue to grow over time. I first noticed this several months ago and reported it to the Ford dealer. After a lot of back and forth , and much to my dismay Ford is refusing to cover this under its top tier extended warranty even though it is a safety issue . It would have been covered under the initial 3/36 bumper to bumper . Ford has officially stated that it’s not a common problem, though it’s pretty easy to find quite a few others with the same issue from browsing Ford Internet forums.

Thousands and thousands of forums online ford customer have experienced the same problem time and time again since 2005. Brand new $90k truck rolling off the lot with ford knowing this is a problem. I just bought this truck a week ago. I should not be spending $48k on a vehicle and already need to dump money into it when this is purely a manufacture problem.
