Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2011-2018 Jeep Wrangler right hand drive vehicles. The driver's seat belt buckle mounting strap may fracture and separate from the seat frame.

Risk. A separated or severed seat belt buckle strap will result in an inoperable seat belt, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy. FCA US will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's seat belt buckle, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed November 19, 2019. Owners will received a second letter and the recall began March 26, 2020. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is VA6.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, Ram 4500/5500, 2010-2011 Dodge Dakota, 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger, 2010-2015 Dodge Challenger, Chrysler 300, and 2010-2016 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.

Risk. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's frontal air bag, the inflator could explode with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 4, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V01.

In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these passenger air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

Risk. An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 28, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is U03.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2016 Right Hand Drive Jeep Wrangler vehicles manufactured February 16, 2010, to May 2, 2016. The clockspring assembly may become contaminated with dust and cause the air bag circuit to fail.

Risk. Failure of the air bag circuit may prevent the driver's frontal air bag from deploying in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the clockspring, wheel back cover, and column shroud, free of charge. The recall began on August 11, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S40.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 Jeep Wrangler vehicles manufactured February 16, 2010, to July 19, 2013. Corrosion in the exterior heated power mirror electrical connector may result in an electrical short.

Risk. An electrical short increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will move the exterior mirror power feed to a separate connector, free of charge. Chrysler issued an interim notification to owners on December 8, 2014. The recall began on March 3, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine and an automatic transmission and manufactured January 23, 2011, through February 23, 2013. The power steering line may contact and wear a hole in the transmission oil cooler line resulting in a loss of transmission fluid.

Risk. A loss of transmission fluid may result in a loss of transmission function which may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the power steering return tube assembly, free of charge. The recall began on September 23, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N28.

Defect. Quadratec, Inc. is recalling certain aftermarket accessory, driver-side, Ultimate Floor Liners part numbers 14254.0301 07, 14254.0301 08, 14254.0301Q, 14254.0302 07, 14254.0302 08, 14254.0302Q, 14254.0303 07, 14254.0303 08, 14254.0303Q, 14254.0309 07, 14254.0309 08, and 14254.0309Q sold from May 1, 2012, through February 14, 2013. The liners are for use in 2007-2013 Jeep Wranglers. The anchor point for the affected floor liners may tear during use, particularly when exposed to high temperatures. The tearing may allow the floor liner to shift forward.

Risk. If the liner shifts forward it may impede the operation of the accelerator and possibly lead to unintended acceleration, which may increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Quadratec will notify owners and either exchange the liners or provide them with a hook guard kit to help secure the driver-side mat, free of charge. The recall began on April 4, 2013. Owners may contact Quadratec at 1-800-463-2998 or [email protected].

In September of 2023 our 13’ Jeep Wrangler Rubicon had an ABS Module failure. We went to our local Jeep (Gettel Jeep of Punta Gorda, FL) where they placed us on a list @number 1600. They told us to was safe to drive however use caution in the snow. As of August the Jeep became unable to drive. We have sent the module off for repair unsuccessful and we have sent it back for the second time. I have been in a rental car for 5 weeks and I am a caregiver to my mother and I a a home healthcare sales representative that relies on my Jeep for work and caregiver. We believe Chrysler corporation has done a poor job managing this ABS issue that I a very known problem and puts me and my elderly mom at risk daily. I have also paid for repairs via Gettel without results. I should have not been expected to pay for repairs that didn’t correct the problem.

Faulty Clockspring Diagnosed by independent dealer. The occupant restraint system came on my dash about a 2 weeks ago without any warning. The clockspring controls the airbags and puts me and my family at risk for injury.The code reads: Driver Airbag Squib 2 circuit open

2013 Jeep Wrangler, which is currently subject to a manufacturer-issued “Do Not Drive” safety recall involving the driver’s airbag. Upon learning of the recall, I immediately acted responsibly by delivering my vehicle to Romano Chrysler Jeep in Fayetteville, New York, so the required safety repair could be completed. My Jeep has now been at the dealership for more than six weeks because the replacement airbag remains on backorder. During this time, I have repeatedly requested updates and asked whether a loaner or rental vehicle could be provided. Despite the fact that Stellantis has instructed owners not to drive affected vehicles, I have been informed that no transportation assistance will be provided. Compounding the problem, my New York State inspection expired while the Jeep has been sitting at the dealership. I attempted to have the vehicle inspected before bringing it in, but was advised that it could not legally be inspected until the safety recall had been completed. As a result, I have been left without a usable vehicle through no fault of my own. I fully understand that supply chain delays and backordered parts can occur. However, I do not believe it is reasonable or fair for a consumer to bear the financial and personal burden of a manufacturer-issued Do Not Drive recall while the required repair cannot be completed. The abs module is providing a code and mechanic states it is defective and needs to be replaced. Manufacturer has no parts available for repair. No accident occurred, only way to use vehicle is without abs protected braking.

Had this 2013 Jeep Wrangler since new and has ABS module internal failure code C2200. ABS, ANTI SKID, BRAKE lights are constantly lit on the dashboard. No ABS on this Jeep making it unsafe in an emergency braking situation which could cause a crash. Have tried for over a year and a half to have the ABS repaired or get a new ABS Module. As of today, June 29, 2026, Mopar Parts has again informed us that the ABS Module is unavailable. The Internet has been alive with many Jeep Wrangler owners driving around with no ABS braking. NTSA needs to take action to get this corrected.

The ABS module failed in summer 2025. We took the Jeep to the mechanic who was unable to source a new part. The part has been on backorder now for over a year. We cannot get the Jeep inspected because of the break safety issue. The Jeep has no ABS if emergency breaking. Several warning lights are constantly on when operating the Jeep.

2013 Jeep Wrangler. ABS module internal failure code C2200. 3 lights are constantly lit on the dashboard. No ABS on this Jeep, making it unsafe in the rain and snow. No way to have this part repaired anymore, nor does the dealership offer it. Shameful and shocking that MOPAR isn't dealing with this problem. Many, many Jeep owners are dealing with this problem. C2200 Abs control module internal failure. Anti lock brake, traction control stop working. Vehicle can go into limp mode and not be drivable. Apparently due to safety concerns replacment parts are not produced by the manufacturer. This causing the vehilce to not be driven safely.

I purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (VIN [XXX] ) from Soliman Motors Inc., [XXX] (phone [XXX] ) on April 11, 2026. The vehicle is subject to active NHTSA stop-drive recall #19V-018 for the Takata passenger airbag inflator, issued January 15, 2019. This recall was not disclosed to me at any point before, during, or after the purchase. I was never informed of this active federal stop-drive safety recall by the dealer. I discovered the recall independently after purchase through the Jeep manufacturer app. Upon discovery I immediately contacted an authorized Jeep dealership to schedule the recall repair. I was informed that recall parts are on nationwide backorder with no confirmed availability date. I am currently on a waiting list at an authorized Jeep dealership. This recall has been open and unrepaired for over seven years since its issuance on January 15, 2019. The dealer sold this vehicle to me without disclosing the existence of this active stop-drive safety recall. The recall involves a Takata passenger airbag inflator that can rupture upon deployment, sending metal shrapnel toward vehicle occupants — a known life-threatening defect responsible for deaths and serious injuries worldwide. I have been driving this vehicle without any knowledge of this life-threatening safety defect from the date of purchase until I independently discovered the recall. The ABS module has failed. The jeep was not involved in an accident, it is at my house not driveable because Jeep does not have the ABS module. The part has been on factory back order with no date of availability. No aftermarket company produces the past. I now have a jeep that is useless. Jeep should be held accountable for availability of the part.

My 2013 RHD jeep wrangler is showing codes B1B02 and B1B06. I took it to jason lewis automotive in sparta tn yesterday. The airbag light is on and the horn does not work. These are the exact same failures identified in safety recall s40. The previous owner of my car got this done in 2021 but the remedy has failed and the safety risk is back. They confirmed that the clockspring is bad and needs replacing. The confirmed the codes and it matches the s40 recall.

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler with 180,000 miles. I never off road the vehicle, but after driving on a dirt road, the stability control kicked in during a turn. At the start of the next drive after that, there were 3 lights on the dashboard: brake, ABS, stability control. Connecting the JScan app to the vehicle, the ABS module is completely unresponsive and the vehicle gives a C2200 error code. There were no symptoms of this issue before this event. This vehicle is available to be inspected any time. Lack of ABS is a very dangerous safety concern, as neither of my children have ever had to drive a vehicle without ABS. After some research, this seems to be a very common problem. After some age and heat cycles, the electronics in the module become weak, and my single use of the Stability control apparently is enough to push the weak electronics over the edge and destroy the module. This has been confirmed through several companies who repair these modules, such as [XXX] , who no longer repairs these modules, apparently because the computer chips are no longer made, and I have heard stories about the chip maker going out of business during covid. It was also confirmed by a local Jeep specialist, and the dealer parts department also tells the same story, people have been waiting on this module for over 2 years now. The clockspring went bad, but the recall for that only applies to 2007-2010 Jeep Wranglers. The airbag light is on, my horn does not work, and the buttons on my steering wheel don't work.

I have $80,000 in my jeep parked in my garage because the ABS module failed. Error code C2200. I have taken it to three Mechanics; Kap Motor Sports in Palmetto Fl, AFNY, and 4 Wheel Parts in Bradenton Fl. All have run tests coming back with the same error. We have done two Abs bleeds to try and fix the problem. This part should have been recalled years ago. It has been on back order for years and when Firkins Jeep in Bradenton Fl tried to order the part the order was canceled by Jeep. Jeep hasn't recalled it and isn't making it available for their customers who have spent so much money on their jeeps. At this point a lawsuit needs to be filed and have started that process. This is my daily driver and if my Jeep kills or injures someone due to this ABS failure Jeep will be held responsible.

The component that failed is the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) Control Module in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The component remains installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. ABS anti lock module stopped working. Vehicle braking system is now compromise. It also send the speed to the transmission, which is causing the erratic drivability.

The ABS module that controls the antilock braking system is defective for mine and many other Jeeps from 2013-2017. Jeep is no longer manufacturing this part, and essentially this renders the vehicle undriveable. I have sought modules both locally and online, and the experts are telling me that Jeep has not made this part in years. When driving with the bad ABS module while trying to search for the new part, my Jeep shut down on the highway twice, and I was forced to pull over the side of the road. This was extremely dangerous. And Jeep is providing no solutions for owners.

The oil filter housing is known to leak, crack or break in standard weather conditions. This can be exacerbated by extreme climate or by simply storing the vehicle outside of a climate controlled area. The hazards posed start with the slow but continuous leak of engine oil from the housing down the transmission and driveline to the ground. This is an environmental hazard to ground water and plant life. The oil can also contaminate roadways leading to slick spots in the road coupled with icy conditions this could cause for large scale vehicular incidents. Lastly if this issue goes unchecked and the oil leaks out of the engine entirely or to a low enough level it could cause the engine to seize in some shape or fashion. This would cause the aforementioned hazards to occur all at once culminating a catastrophic hazard event.

NHTSA Recall Number 19V018000 Made appointment at West Knoxville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (530 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919) Dealership states they do not have the part, do not know when they will have it. They are refusing to help. They did not inspect the vehicle, or even ask if they could. They really didn't want me there for "recall work".

ABS module failure with no rplacement available to replace or fix. affecting braking ang driving as well. transmission stays in lower gears and causing transmission to heat up fluid. been waiting for dealearship to provide replacment item purchase a year ago 2024.
