Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.

Risk. A vehicle fire increases the risk of injury.

Remedy. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring and electric hydraulic power steering pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 9, 2026. Risk. A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 6, 2025. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a center brake light that fails to illuminate can fail to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired by January 15, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator and 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."

Risk. An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed between October 3, 2024, and January 23, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 30B.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 23V-116. The software for the powertrain control module may cause an engine stall, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Risk. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is 92B. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V-116 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."

Risk. An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.

Risk. A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to recharge their vehicles, and to park outside and away from structures, until they are repaired. Dealers will update the high voltage battery pack software and replace the battery pack assembly if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 7, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89A. This recall is superseded by NHTSA Recall 24V-720.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, and 2022-2023 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L diesel engine. The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) may fail.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the HPFP and replace additional fuel system components, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 17, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 01A.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. A stud on the frame assembly may puncture the fuel tank in a crash, which can result in a fuel leak.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, remove the frame stud and apply paint, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 6, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 28A.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler, and 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. The clutch pressure plate may overheat and fracture.

Risk. Overheated clutch components may increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, damage to other nearby components can result in debris falling onto the road or a loss of drive, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the clutch assembly and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed from November 16, 2023 through July 25, 2024. Owners may contact (FCA US, LLC) customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is 19A. This recall expands and replaces previous recall 21V-028. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 21V-028 will need to have the new remedy completed.

After the latest 68C recall, something has been altered in the vehicle that has changed its operability. It has lost total available power when in electric mode. The system now doesn't respond as well as it used to. This has caused a loss of acceleration and often time transitions to using the gas engine poorly when trying to get up to speed. It causes issues with climbing hills and when pulling out in to traffic. It feels as though it has been current limited to protect the faulty battery instead of replacing the battery with a better design. The fault with the battery is also causing early degradation. The issue that lead to the B9A, 95B and 68C recalls still resides in the battery. It seems as though Jeep has attempted to compensate for a poor battery design by altering the performance capabilities of the vehicle.

I'm reaching out to complain about the corrosion issue on Jeep Wrangler JLs. I own a 2021 Wrangler JLU Sport with 56,000 miles and recently discovered the corrosion on my vehicle. I brought it in to my local dealer, who looked at the vehicle, explained the large issue they're seeing, and submitted a claim for my vehicle. I found I was just under 2 months outside the 5 year warranty. Stellantis came back with a good will offer of covering my cost 80/20. The total projected cost is $12,750 and I'm responsible for $2,550. This will replace my hood (with a steel hood), tailgate, all hinges, and repaint. After speaking with the dealer I've discovered they are no longer directed to replace the doors, but rather just grind them down. After reading and conversations with my local dealer's body shop, this isn't a fix, as the corrosion can still exist in the body. I opened a Jeep Cares case immediately after and explained I've owned multiple Wranglers since 2010, my father owns 2 Wranglers (a 2018 with this same issue), and I've spoken to other friends who own Wranglers and have this issue. They asked me to get a letter from my local dealership, which I did and provided. Jeep Cares came back with the same offer of 80/20. Ever since the 68C recall, my jeep constantly changes back and forth from electric to gas and causes an unsafe driving condition. Some of the shifts are rough, and the vehicle has stalled out as well. The acceleration and performance has also gotten worse. The vehicle feels like it is holding back / restricted. I can floor the gas and the jeep barely moves and then all of a sudden it kicks in and has caused scary and unsafe bursts of speed. I have brought this numerous times to the dealer for performance issues and they were able to replicate the issue. I am on my third hybrid battery and only have 34k miles on the vehicle. I have been stranded multiple times and have had to get towed. This vehicle is unsafe and I say a prayer every time I drive it.

After the safety recall 68C, the vehicle no longer operates as designed. In electric only mode, the gas engine engages, which is bad for the engine. This fails to give the engine time to prepare for short sudden use. When driving, the high voltage battery will lag or not produce power as it did prior. This can cause an accident (which it almost did already for myself). The acceleration lags before engaging. This vehicle performed properly prior to this software (1/1/2026) update. I don't trust or feel safe in my vehicle at this juncture. I seek the manufacturer to correct this for the safety of those who drive these vehicles.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the soft top was not clear enough to see well out of the rear of the vehicle, especially while reversing in inclement weather. The contact informed the dealer of the issue the day the vehicle was purchased. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

While driving my 2021 Jeep Wrangler on the highway, the vehicle displayed a warning indicating a malfunction with the Electronic Throttle Control system. Immediately following the warning, the vehicle experienced a significant loss of acceleration and would not respond normally to accelerator pedal input. The vehicle subsequently began accelerating/surging without my commanding the acceleration. The unintended acceleration was significant enough that I had to apply the brakes to prevent the vehicle from striking traffic ahead of me. This created an extremely dangerous situation because the vehicle's acceleration became unpredictable, alternating between loss of accelerator response and acceleration that I did not command. The vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, VIN [XXX]. I am reporting this because I believe the Electronic Throttle Control/powertrain malfunction and resulting unintended acceleration present a serious vehicle safety concern. The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact was able to turn onto a side street and pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was a catastrophic failure of the fuel pump resulting in the fuel lines being contaminated with metal shavings. The contact stated that a fuel injector cleaning service was completed approximately one week prior to the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the entire fuel system needed to be replaced, and the engine needed to be flushed. The contact was provided an estimate for the repairs. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

The One Touch Power Roof has rails from side to side. Several of these have broken at their attachment to the track system. This has created several issues: 1) the roof is no longer leak proof, 2) it creates excessive noise at high way speed. I have not used this system much, so it is unclear why this failed. When I presented the car to the Jeep dealer service area, I was told the only solution is to replace the entire roof - several thousand dollars. There is no other fix. This is out of warranty, but it clearly is a manufacturing issue common with this roof. I believe Jeep should replace this roof system at their cost , not mine. They have not shown me why this happened nor have they claimed it is my fault.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while seated inside the vehicle while the vehicle was stationary, the contact heard a pop and then saw flames coming from underneath the hood. The contact safely exited the vehicle. The fire was extinguished by bystanders nearby with fire extinguishers and water. The fire department arrived on the scene, but the fire was already extinguished. The fire department pried the hood open. The vehicle was inspected by the Police and the Fire Department. A police report was filed. The contact stated sustained smoke inhalation, but medical attention was not sought. The failure mileage was 170,000.

Was driving on the interstate at about 65 mph went over some small bumps in the road and got the jeep death wobble. It happened a total of four times on that trip within an hour. Thought I was going to crash.

On the highway, at Highway speeds of 70 mph, going over small bump my jeep goes into a death wobble. Both tires bouncing erratically steering wheel racing back-and-forth. To stop the death wobble I Have to let off the gas and slowly break to a complete stop before the death wobble stops. The frustrating part is, the Jeep Wrangler, is only five years old, and it has never been off-road, and has less than 28,000 miles on it, not to mention how dangerous the situation is. I have had this happen 6 times.

The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the engine overheated, and the vehicle was driving sluggishly with the temperature gauge indicating that the engine was overheating. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the coolant reservoir was cracked and was leaking coolant. The coolant reservoir was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to immediately start due to battery failure. No further information was available. The local dealer was notified of the failures, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 56,700.

When using electric mode, repeatedly and consistently, when I try to accelerate (for example to get onto a highway) despite having the acceleration fully depressed, the car does not accelerate. After some time, the gas powered engine will rev, the RPM will shoot up and then the car will start to accelerate. If I slow down the electric engine will take back over, but then if I try to accelerate again the same thing will occur. I have videos of the dashboard confirming electric mode, delay to accelerate and eventual activation of the gas motor and RPMs. This same issue was noted by Jeep technicians after the fix for a previous recall on the battery. This is dangerous, If I am not able to accelerate I can not safely drive change lanes, go onto highways, or avoid danger. it has been occurring, but my first video is from Feb 2026, and most recently July 2026.

After dealer recall 21D inspection on 7/30/2026 I have experienced 2 electrical failures in the recall system, and/or systems associated with recall. The first incident on 7/31/2026 at approximately 9:00 PM my wife, 2 kids, and a neighbors kid were at a stop light for a 4 lane road when the Jeep unexpectedly made a popping sound and shut down. When I arrived I pushed the vehicle into a parking lot and attempted to restart. I was able to restart the vehicle but instantly started seeing multiple warnings including Service Power Steering (code associated with the recall), Throttle body warning, and Warning that the vehicle would shutdown for safety. After the vehicle shutdown the electrical system went crazy (gauge cluster lights flashing, windshield wipers turned off and on, relays clicking). I had the vehicle taken to my mechanic on 8/6/2026 where they determined that the AUX battery was bad (previously replaced in 05/2026) AND the main fuse array fuse N3 was blown. The mechanic replaced both components, tested the vehicle, and rechecked for any new error codes. On 8/11/2026 my wife and 2 kids attempted to leave soccer practice and the Jeep would not start. I brought them home and returned to the Jeep. As it was near closing time for most auto parts retailers I decided to start by having the main battery tested. When I opened the hood to remove the battery I noticed that the engine compartment seemed abnormally hot. I removed the battery and had it tested by AutoZone (failed-o

Acceleration lag: either bucking or temporary loss of motive power when attempting to pull into traffic has almost caused us to be hit several times. We had the problem almost immediately after purchase, but the lag was short and the Jeep would leap forward and back tires would squeal which caused the back tires to wear quickly compared to front. The bucking and loss of power while accelerating became dangerous after I took to the dealership in Feb 2026 when they also did recall 68C related to the battery. We stopped charging it completely and still had the issue. Took back to the dealership in March 2026 and they said they could not replicate issue. Tried to schedule an appt last week and they never got back to me. We have avoided several accidents so far but I am now afraid to drive it. Assuming these are unrelated but just in case: at 10k miles the check engine light came on, and I couldn’t add ANY fuel (automatic shut off happened immediately) and the fuel cap wouldn’t open. Foss Motors wrote: "CHECKED FOR CODES IN SYSTEM. VEHICLE HAD CODES P2451 FUEL TANK ISOATION VALVE A STUCK, PO4EC EVAP SYSTEM LARGE LEAK DETECTED AND P04EE EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK DETECTED. PERFORMED EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK VERIFICATION TEST. TEST EVAP SYSTEM AND FOUND ISOLATION VALVE STICKING. COMPLETED REPLACEMENT OF ISOLATION VALVE. Our Jeep has a death wobble that has almost caused me to have three wrecks where it is taking me out of my lane of travel and put me in Lanes where other people are had to get to the side of the road and try to get it to stop wobbling it. Every time I hit a pothole or a bump it throws me into a death wobble. I'm worried that this might cause me to get into an accident or cause me to die this happens every time I drive it. I cannot go above 40 mph without causing a death wobble so now I have no use of my Jeep. It just sits

The harmonic balancer on the motor failed and flew off the motor causing catastrophic damage to the radiator. The failure resulted in immediate disabling of the vehicle, which could have happened at high speeds or on a highway with limited access. The part that flew off the motor was also a large piece of solid metal that luckily landed in the bumper cavity, but if it would have left the engine compartment, would most certainly be a fatal projectile. Once taking it to the dealership, they told me that this is a known problem with the Hemi 392 motor. Research shows this has been an issue since 2003 with this motor. The motor is found in several different Stellantis vehicles. There were no warning signs of the failure prior to it occurring.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the handling of the urgent safety recall affecting my Jeep Wrangler. This recall has been classified as an urgent fire and safety risk, yet no remedy is currently available. The recall notice stated that owners would receive notification regarding the remedy by July 9. As of today, August 4, I have not received any follow-up communication, and the NHTSA website continues to list the recall as unresolved with no available repair. I find it deeply concerning that a recall deemed urgent due to the potential risk of fire has remained without a remedy for approximately two months. Owners are expected to continue operating vehicles that have been identified as posing a serious safety hazard while having no meaningful way to mitigate that risk. This places consumers in an unreasonable position, especially those who rely on their vehicles for work and daily transportation. I respectfully request that NHTSA review whether the manufacturer is complying with its obligations under federal motor vehicle safety recall requirements. Given the severity of the identified risk, I also ask that NHTSA determine whether additional oversight or enforcement is warranted to ensure affected owners receive a timely remedy. Additionally, I ask NHTSA to consider whether the manufacturer should provide interim accommodations, such as loaner vehicles or rental reimbursement, while a permanent remedy remains unavailable. 2021 jeep wrangler 4xe unlimited rubicon. Death wobble steering stabilizer has been replaced. 4 Alignments in a week . Was told that it was my tires nope not the case . I can’t not drive my jeep at all . Now the transfer case is leaking the track bar that I told the mechanics it needed to be replaced . The mechanic at John jones told me not to bring it back because I was not a mechanic to find someone else .ive had it sense oct2025 and put not even a thousand miles on it .
