Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2011-2013 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with a 3.6, 5.7, or 6.4 liter engine and previously recalled under NHTSA Recall 14V530 or 15V115. The fuel pump relay inside the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM-7) may fail, causing the vehicle to stall without warning.

Risk. A vehicle stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) will replace the affected fuel pump relay and related wire harness. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed beginning December 19, 2019. Vehicles that experience a fuel pump failure will receive an interim repair. Owners will receive a second notice when the final remedy becomes available. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 10, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V62.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The affected vehicles had brake booster shields installed under a previous campaign to prevent water from entering the brake booster and limiting braking ability. This recall is to verify that the brake booster shield installation was performed properly.

Risk. If the brake booster shield was not installed properly, the vehicle's braking ability may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake booster shield, correcting the installation as necessary, free of charge. The recall began November10, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is T59.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300, Dodge Durango, and 2012-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The affected vehicles have electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) and are equipped with a 5.7L or a 3.6L engine and a 160, 180 or 220 amp alternator. In the affected vehicles, the alternator may suddenly fail.

Risk. If the alternator fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. There is also the possibility that the alternator may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the alternator and depending on the part number, will replace the alternator, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 12, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is T36.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured December 3, 2009, to September 1, 2012. In the affected vehicles, the wiring for the vanity lamp in the sun visor may short circuit, after having been remedied for a prior recall for the vanity lamp wiring. This recall is also addressing certain vehicles that have not been remedied under that prior recall.

Risk. The vanity lamp wiring may short, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealer will install clearance for sun visor wiring, protection from sharp edges, and replace the sun visor, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2016. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured September 17, 2010, to August 19, 2013, and equipped with a 3.6, 5.7 or 6.4 liter engine, and 2012-2013 Dodge Durango vehicles manufactured January 18, 2011, to August 19, 2013, and equipped with a 3.6 or 5.7 liter engine. In the affected vehicles, the fuel pump relay inside the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM-7) may fail, causing the vehicle to stall without warning.

Risk. A vehicle stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump relay with one external to the TIPM. The recall began on August 7, 2015. Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Durango; and 2012-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured April 22, 2010, to January 2, 2014, and equipped with a 3.6L engine and a 160 amp alternator. In the affected vehicles, the alternator may suddenly fail.

Risk. If the alternator fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will replace the alternator, free of charge. The recall began on February 27, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P60.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured January 5, 2010, through December 11, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the wiring for the vanity lamp in the sun visor may short circuit, after a service repair is performed.

Risk. If the vanity lamp wiring shorts, there is an increased risk of fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair any damaged wiring, and install a new sun visor that properly routes the wire, free of charge. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P36.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango vehicles manufactured from January 5, 2010, through September 8, 2013. The subject vehicles have a brake booster with a center shell that may corrode and allow water to get inside.

Risk. The water inside could freeze and limit the braking ability of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will add a water diverter shield to the booster after the booster has been tested to confirm it can hold an acceptable amount of vacuum pressure. If the booster inspection confirms an unacceptable loss of vacuum pressure, the booster will be replaced. Repairs will be made free of charge. The recall began on May 30, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's recall campaign number is P14.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured October 11, 2011, through October 1, 2012. Under certain braking events, the Ready Alert Braking System (RAB) may result in the driver experiencing a hard brake pedal feel.

Risk. If the driver experiences a hard brake pedal, the driver may not push the pedal as intended, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the ABS module software, free of charge. The recall began on April 3, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number associated with this recall is P05.

Defect. Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2013 Durango vehicles manufactured April 27, 2012, through September 14, 2012. The vehicles may have been built with incorrect seating capacity information labels. The label might overstate the seating capacity. Therefore, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 110 "Tire Selection and Rims."

Risk. The vehicle may be filled over capacity which could increase injury during a vehicle crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and provide replacement labels free of charge. At the owner's option, they may take their vehicle to a Chrysler dealer for installation of the label. The service will be performed free of charge. The recall began on February 18, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753.

The front passenger seat active head rest deployed while the vehicle was stopped and my wife was getting into the vehicle.

The passenger headrest airbag deployed by itself without reason. No rear end collision. The headrest deployed and hit my 16 yr old daughter in the back of the head. Giving her a headache. No the vehicle has not been looked at yet, it is going to go to the dealer tomorrow. No messages prior to the failure. Now there is a red airbag malfunction icon. A person in a seat with a red dot (airbag) in front of the seat.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the instrument panel and the engine unexpectedly shut off. Occasionally, the vehicle immediately restarted upon wiggling the ignition key; however, the vehicle needed to be manually started by turning the ignition key on other occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

My vehicle was hit on passenger side at approximately 35 miles an hour and the airbags did not deploy. Vehicle is totaled from the wreck and I sustained injuries which need medical attention.

My vehicle constantly stalls at idle or while stopped at a traffic light or stop sign. I was so bothersome is that the vehicle rolls back during these endeavors. It usually happens 3 or 4 times a day. I've taken in to the dealer for the recall they replaced the recall parts, but it still continues to stall. It's more frustrating when i'm at a stoplight and I have people behind me honking because the vehicle rolls back as it stalls.

The vehicle experiences sudden engine shutdown while driving. The engine completely turns off without warning. There are no warning lights, no check engine light, and no prior indication of failure. The exact component causing the failure is unknown at this time, but it appears to involve the engine and/or electrical system. The vehicle is available for inspection and has been taking to doge and nothing is being done yet. The vehicle shuts off while I am actively driving, causing immediate loss of power. This creates a dangerous situation because I lose acceleration and power steering while in traffic. I transport six children daily in this vehicle. Sudden engine shutdown while driving significantly increases the risk of a crash, especially in traffic or at higher speeds. This is a serious safety hazard for my family and others on the road. The dealership has not confirmed the cause. The vehicle has been taken in multiple times for service and diagnostics, and over $4,000 has been spent on repairs. However, the stalling issue continues and has not been resolved. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Dodge dealership service department multiple times. No manufacturer representative has inspected the vehicle yet. There were no warning lamps, no check engine light, and no dashboard messages prior to the engine shutting off. My vehicle just clicks when I try to start it. The engine will not turn-over; it just clicks. Risk is that there wasn't any engine light warning or anything, and it is 19 degrees Fahrenheit with a -14 windchill outside. My vehicle was brought to the Dodge/Chrysler Dealership a few times for noises and overheating issues, but they said there weren't any problems. I knew there were issues because my vehicle's temperature gauge would go high for no apparent reason. I've been consistent with oil changes and fixed recommendations of wear and tear.

The passenger side headlight lamp is not working due to something in the harness. I have owned 2 dodge durango suv's and both had problems with the passenger side headlamp. No power to the light the first one would come on if you wiggled the headlight harness. The one I have now has been checked and there is no power to the bulb. When I'm out driving around town I notice I am not the only dodge durango without a headlight I have seen so many with the same issue. I have seen other chrysler's and dodge vehicles diffrent make and models with a headlight blown out. I think they need to fix this its a harness problem not just a bulb replacement issue. I should not have to try and replace a wiring harness due to the defects I can clearly see with other vehicles having the same issues. This started about a year after I bought the vehicle. Bought brand new bulbs 2 times thinking it was just a bulb well its the harness. All fuses have been checked with a multimeter as well as the bulb outlet.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact was informed that the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), but the failure persisted. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal, and the RPM fell to zero. In addition, the engine stalled. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle still functioned; however, the engine failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that the failure persisted. Occasionally, the contact was able to coast to the side of the roadway, and at other times the vehicle remained in the roadway. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted. The contact was able to continue driving; however, the failure occurred a short distance later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump relay inside the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM-7) had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 136,000. It was later discovered that the mileage on the Title was 168,000.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The headrest randomly deployed well car was in park. All I did was sit in my seat. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My safety was put at risk because now I have a sore neck and migraine from something meant to keep me safe but instead jeopardized my safety. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I will be calling as soon as they open. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Calling as soon as they open. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings at all.

I am unsure. The SUV is not pulling any codes when tested. I had two places run a diagnostic. Intermittently the SUV will stall at start up. The engine light will come on during this time. Once the Durango starts the light goes away. I was told this was a sign of a known recall issue for this vehicle.

Seat headrest popped out while driving. First it was the passanger seat and the driver seat followed. Part is broken and unable to be popped in.

The passenger seat head rest exploded without any impact to the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was sitting in the passenger seat at the time it exploded because it could have caused a head injury. After checking on the head rest, the plastic pin that kept it together broke.

My vehicle randomly stalled in the middle of the road (I was unaware of the recall, I was not notified of recall upon purchase of vehicle) when I was towed to shop they confirmed the issue was the fuel pump relay (I believe that is what it’s called that the recall is for) I was charged $700 for 2.5 mile tow and repair. After leaving the shop my vehicle began having other problems shortly after (within a month) my vehicle stopped accelerating like a normal vehicle would, it was harder to accelerate it seemed and then the noise.. it is like a knock or a grind? I was told I needed to replace my engine mount so I did… another $850 later and the noise is worse and it still doesn’t accelerate like it should and they are saying my transfer case needs replacing and that it will cost me 2k just for the parts. My car was in perfect condition before the relay failed.. no issues. So is it another recall or is it damage due to a recall I was never notified of?
