Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The second-row center and left-side seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Risk. An improperly installed seat belt buckle anchor may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and attach the seat belt buckle anchor to the body structure as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 18, 2026. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, Ram 2500, and Ram 3500 vehicles. The right and left side curtain air bag inflators may rupture due to a manufacturing defect.

Risk. An inflator rupture may result in sharp metal fragments striking occupants, resulting in injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace one or both side curtain air bags, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 18, 2025. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. The driver's side air bag may not be connected properly, which can cause the air bag not to deploy as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk. A driver's side air bag that does not deploy as intended increases the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy. Dealers secured the connectors for the air bag, free of charge. All vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed May 27, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 08C.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Ram 3500, Ram 1500, 2016-2020 Ram 2500, and 2016 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The right and left side curtain air bag inflators may rupture due to a manufacturing defect.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019, 2021-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. Due to a software malfunction, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module may disable the electronic stability control system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."

Risk. Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the ABS control module software, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed October 10, 2024. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Ram 1500 and 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with 3.0L Diesel engines. The crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate, causing the engine to lose its ability to synchronize the fuel injector pulses and cam shaft timing, possibly resulting in an engine stall.

Risk. An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the powertrain control module software to maintain vehicle propulsion, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed August 3, 2023. Some owner notification letters were mailed October 31, 2023. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks. The tailgate may not latch properly due to misaligned tailgate strikers, which could result in the tailgate opening while driving.

Risk. An unintended tailgate opening while driving may result in a loss of unsecured cargo, possibly creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and 2014-2019 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with 3.0L diesel engines. A high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure may introduce internal debris into the fuel system, potentially resulting in fuel starvation.

Risk. Fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the HPFP, and inspect and replace, if necessary, additional fuel system components, free of charge. Interim notification letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed July 21, 2022. Owner notification letters for were mailed for Jeep Grand Cherokee owners starting January 11, 2024. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Ram 1500 Classic, 2015-2016 Ram 3500, and Ram 2500 vehicles, and 2016 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a gross vehicle weight rating less than 10,000 lbs. The side air bag inflatable curtain (SABIC) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator, or the inflator sidewall may rupture.

Risk. A separated inflator end cap or inflator rupture can allow compressed gas to escape, resulting in the end cap or other components being propelled into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace as necessary, the SABIC assemblies, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on October 4, 2021. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Jeep Wrangler and Ram 2500, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 and 2020 Jeep Gladiator vehicles. In the event of a crash, a front seat belt retractor may not properly slow the occupant's forward movement after locking.

Risk. In the event of a crash, if the front seat belts fail to lock, there is an increased risk of injury.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Cherokee, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Renegade and 2019 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with 8.4" or 12" radio displays. A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

Risk. The lingering rearview image can distract the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will update the radio display software, free of charge. Optionally, owners can choose to remotely update their software via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update available as of May 1, 2020. The recall began April 27, 2020. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with adjustable pedals. In certain accelerator pedal positions, the floormats may prevent the pedal from returning to the normal resting (idle) position.

Risk. A pedal that does not return as expected may affect the vehicle's deceleration, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 1500, 1500 Classic and Jeep Compass vehicles. The windshield wiper arm or arms may loosen, possibly causing the wipers to not operate properly and reduce the driver's visibility in certain weather conditions.

Risk. Reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks equipped with four-wheel drive. A gear within the transfer case may not have been installed correctly, possibly causing the vehicle to become stuck in neutral. If this occurs while driving, there could be a sudden loss of power. Additionally, a loss of 'PARK' function may occur.

Risk. A sudden loss of power or a loss of 'PARK' function may increase the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 trucks. An incorrect Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor could have been installed during production causing the sensor to not display the low tire pressure warning indicator. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."

Risk. Without a warning indicator, the driver will be unaware if low tire pressure occurs, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 trucks. These vehicles may have been built with a contaminated electric power steering (EPS) gear that may short circuit, potentially resulting in an intermittent loss of power steering assist.

Risk. An intermittent loss of power steering assist may cause an inconsistent steering effort, especially during lower speed maneuvers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Ram 1500 and 1500 Classic Pickup trucks equipped with 3.0L Eco Diesel engines. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold.

Risk. Combustion in the intake manifold can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the EGR cooler, free of charge. Dealers will also inspect and, as necessary, replace the intake manifold. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Rear Step Kits, part number 82215289AB, designed for model year 2019 Ram 1500 trucks. In the event of a rear impact crash, the rear step kit may cause the rear control arms to contact the fuel tank.

Risk. Contact with the fuel tank may cause a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles. The instrument cluster may not properly illuminate driver warnings. As such, these vehicles fails to conform with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."

Risk. Failure of the instrument cluster to properly illuminate may prevent the driver from receiving warnings about the vehicle's systems and increase the risk of crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 trucks. The spare tire provided may differ in size and required inflation pressure from the information on the tire placard label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Risk. The driver, referencing the tire placard label, may incorrectly inflate the spare tire, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks. The rear driveshaft may have an incomplete weld fusion between the tube and tube yoke, which may lead to weld cracking or the driveshaft fracturing.

Risk. A fractured rear driveshaft could detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, or it may result in a loss of drive power, both of which can increase the risk of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Jeep Wrangler and 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles. These vehicles have improperly machined steering column stub shafts that may break, possibly causing the steering wheel to detach from the steering column.

Risk. If the steering wheel detaches from the steering column, the driver may lose control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with a 48v auxiliary battery system located behind the rear seat (sales code: XBZ). Due to an incorrect assembly repair process, the auxiliary battery wire terminal connection may overheat.

Risk. If the auxiliary battery system overheats, there is an increased risk of a fire within the cabin even if the ignition is off.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with adjustable pedals. The affected vehicles have a brake pedal that may move too far and separate from pedal assembly.

Risk. If the brake pedal separates from the pedal assembly, the driver may be unable to brake the vehicle, increasing the risk of crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 RAM 1500 vehicles equipped with a 12" touchscreen display and a base-level heating, ventilation and air conditioning ("HVAC") system. Vehicles with this combination do not have a functioning windshield defrosting and defogging system. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 103, "Windshield defrosting and defogging systems."

Risk. The lack of a functioning windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles. The battery ground fastener on the driver-side front fender may have been improperly secured, possibly resulting in a loss of power steering assist.

Risk. A loss of power steering could vary the steering effort required, possibly causing vehicle oversteer or understeer, increasing the risk of crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 RAM 1500 trucks. The seat track position sensor on the manually-adjusted passenger seats may come loose and out of position, preventing the sensor from detecting if the seat is in the full-forward position.

Risk. If the sensor cannot identify that the seat is in the full-forward position and adjust the frontal air bag deployment accordingly, there would be an increased the risk of a injury in the event of a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2019 RAM 1500 trucks. The rear differential may have been insufficiently filled, possibly resulting in its failure.

Risk. If the rear axle assembly fails, it can cause a loss of drive or the rear wheels may lock up. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear axle oil level. Rear axles with an insufficient amount of oil will be replaced, free of charge. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

Risk. If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle had a slight loss of automotive power, and the vehicle decelerated to 20 MPH. The vehicle was restarted, and the failure ceased. The contact continued driving and the vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was retrieved from the dealer and while driving the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was advised that additional diagnostic tests were required to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.

The failed component is the high-pressure fuel pump, which the dealer confirmed failed and contaminated the fuel system. I do not know whether the failed pump will be available for inspection, since the dealer is replacing it. The engine stalled while I was driving on [road type, e.g., a highway] with my family [in the vehicle / traveling with me] and would not restart, which put us at risk of losing power in traffic. The dealer confirmed the failure and opened the recall repair. To my knowledge, the manufacturer has not inspected the truck. The red throttle warning light came on and the truck stored a P016F fuel pressure code at the time of the failure. A MAP sensor code had appeared earlier and cleared, but I'm not aware of other warning signs before the failure.

Blown Engine- No prior indicators that were obviously present. Driving on highway and about 40 miles in, loud ticking noises. Truck previously had manifold bolt breaking issues so assumed it was an exhaust leak. Within another 20 miles, the engine light came on and engine noises noticeably increased. Immediately took it to Ram Service and was diagnosed with a failed camshaft and camshaft bearing wear/scoring. Issue was reported to Ram dealership and ultimately fixed at owner cost.

* The Sun Visor on both the driver and passenger sides of my 2019 Ram 1500 failed. The holder weakens and allows the visor to drop unexpectedly, which blocks your view while driving. * When I was driving, the sun visor had popped out of the ceiling, dropped into my view of the traffic, and bounced around my hands and the steering wheel. There is an electrical wire in the sun visor that causes the sun visor to dangle, spin, and bounce around until you can grab it. * The problem has been reproduced. There are dozens of videos on YouTube ([XXX]) and widespread industry of after-market repair parts, such as this one on Amazon ([XXX]). * No one inspected my truck. I did not go to a repair shop to pay mechanic fees when I was able to use the after-market product to fix it cheaply. Online forums indicate that a Ram dealer will offer to replace the entire sun visor for $150 while I was able to repair both visors for $30. * There were no warning signs. Engine seized resulting in loss of propulsion while driving on the freeway Vehicle: 2019 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Mileage at failure: ~50,000 miles Purchase: Bought brand‑new in April 2020 Maintenance: 8 documented oil changes, all performed on schedule While driving with my family on 7/12, the engine suddenly seized without warning at highway speed. The truck lost power instantly. This is a serious safety concern because the failure happened during normal driving conditions with no prior symptoms. The vehicle has now been at the dealership for nearly 90 days with no teardown, no diagnosis, and no repair plan. Ram/Stellantis has not resolved the issue or approved an engine replacement despite complete maintenance history and the low mileage. A modern diesel engine should not catastrophically fail at 50k miles, especially with proper maintenance. This appears to be a premature and dangerous engine failure that may indicate a defect affecting other EcoDiesel vehicles.

The manufacturer defect involving stress cracks in the rear window structure (TSB 23-042-24) caused water to flood the rear cab wall along with the leaking rear cab air pressure vents. This water has short-circuited the CAN-bus network/RF Hub, causing active dashboard failures including 'Service Shifter' and 'ParkSense Temporarily Unavailable.' The vehicle is at immediate risk of locking in Park, stalling, or failing to shift while driving, creating an immediate crash hazard. Additionally, the exhaust manifolds are leaking, risking exhaust gas intrusion into the cabin. The dealership, Earnhardt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at 1521 E Drivers Way, Gilbert, AZ 85297, has failed to resolve the water leaks over 4 separate visits this month." I was told a software update fixed the issue. Then at the last visit something electrical was replaced, the issue is still happening. Power steering unavailable service required light came on when I came out from getting my kid from daycare and steering wheel would not move, I believe it’s the eps system I’ve been doing research and see a lot of rams have been having this issue, I haven’t took it to dealer ship yet for inspection wanted to check recalls before I had it towed but I don’t see any for my truck specifically

I am filing this complaint regarding a known, widespread, and concealed defect in the 5.7L HEMI engine with Multi-Displacement System (MDS) installed in my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4. I have maintained this vehicle with oil changes every 3,000 miles. Despite this, at every consecutive oil change I have discovered significant metal debris in the drained oil, including chunks and shards, some curved in a distinctive pigtail or coil shape consistent with lifter roller bearing cage material and cam lobe debris as documented in the known HEMI cam and lifter failure pattern confirmed by dealer technicians nationwide. Symptoms include intermittent cold start tick occurring multiple times over the past year, loss of power in tow haul mode at high RPM, and a power loss event following extended towing while idling afterward. My consistent 3,000 mile oil change schedule directly contradicts FCA's standard defense that this failure results from owner neglect. The leather covering on the upper dashboard of my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited is coming unglued from the dashboard and bubbling/lifting up. The problem is getting worse over time. The dashboard and affected material are still installed on the truck and are available for inspection if requested. My safety concern is that the delamination is occurring on the passenger side of the dashboard in the area where the passenger air bag deploys. I am concerned that the loose and raised dashboard material could interfere with the intended deployment of the passenger air bag, change the way the dashboard opens during deployment, or create loose material during a crash. The passenger air bag has not deployed, so I cannot confirm that it will malfunction. My concern is based on where the dashboard material is separating and how much it is lifting from the surface. I have seen many other owners of Ram 1500 trucks reporting the same dashboard leather separation and bubbling problem, which makes me concerned this may be a common defect and not just an isolated issue with my truck. At very low speeds, like 0-10 miles an hour, trying to turn the steering wheel left or right, cause the steering wheel to suddenly violently jerk back. Example. Im driving straight at 2 mph, try to turn left, and the steering fights me and jerks back to straight very violent, hurting my wrists.When you increase the speed, the steering appears to work, but Im afraid to test it at higher speeds. On XXX, approx. 1615 hours, I was traveling EB on I70 in [XXX]. The cruise control was set at approximately 72MPH. I was in the left lane of travel and both my wife and I heard a revving noise and as I looked at the dashboard, I noticed the RPM gauge was high, I hit the brakes and started to go to the right lane and the entire vehicle shut down. All within a matter of 5-10 seconds. The dash indicated to put the truck in park to start it. I was able to make it to the shoulder and get the vehicle stopped and in park. I popped the hood and looked around the engine compartment. I saw no fluids leaking and no steam or smoke coming from the engine. I then attempted to restart the vehicle and it did absolutely nothing. Vehicle was towed to a RAM dealership, [XXX] CRJD in [XXX]. The did a cursory inspection ad determined that the engine was seized up but gave no indication as to the cause. Recommendation was to replace engine at a cost of nearly 18K dollars. Upon conducting further investigation on my own, I discovered that the Z46 recall of the HPFP, described with total accuracy what I experienced on the highway that day. The recall was performed on my vehicle on XXX. It is fully my belief that the fuel pump that was replace through the recall has now failed in the same manner as described in the recall and was the cause of the complete engine failure. The security camera video footage displayed smoke and there was the sound of an explosion when the air bag deployed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the dealer was contacted and notified of the failure. My differential totally stopped me dead in the middle of a 5 lane highway. A very scary experience. I googled and read that there was a recall on 2018-2019 RAMS for inadequate lubrication of the differential components. I get regular oil changes and the 100 point inspection each time.. So why has this occurred? Dodge has dropped the ball or my truck is a part of the recall, correct?

The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer contacted Stellantis and there was an attempted download of the software upgrade. While attempting to download the software upgrade, the download failed, and the attempt caused the ABS and ESC warning lights to illuminate. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER INFROMED ME THAT MY OIL PAN NEEDS REPLACED WHEN I TOOK TRUCK IN FOR NORMAL ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. A $1700.00 REPAIR AND MY 2019 DODGE RAM BIGHORN TRUCK WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THIS IS A SAFTEY HAZZARD THAT DODGE SHOULD BE RESPONISBLE FOR ON A 6 YEAR OLD TRUCK WITH ONLY 90,000 MILES ON IT. A RUSTED OIL PAN CAN CAUSE SUDDEN OIL LOSS AND ENGINE FAILURE, WHICH MAKES IT A SAFETY CONCERN.

The vehicle loses power unexpectedly without triggering a MIF indicator or logging a OBDII diagnostic code. The problem is the crankshaft position sensor temporarily fails causing the vehicle to stall, in my case, in stop and go traffic, which caused an accident. Once the 'Heat Soak' effect passes, the vehicle start and drives normally again. The fix, to preventing it from happening again and solving the heat soak problem, is to replace the crankshaft position sensor with an OEM part which is less susceptible to the ambient heat (heat soak) due the proximity to the exhaust manifold. And, to have the software in the PCM 'Flashed' or upgraded to allow for a greater signal tolerance from the crankshaft position sensor. The problem and fix where confirmed by Auto-Nation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, [XXX], where I purchased the OEM part and had their service department 'Flash' the PCM for the software upgrade. The service department and the parts clerk agreed that TSB 18-020-26 applied, dated XXX. Upon further research I discovered a recall report: 18v-049 Part 573 Safety recall report. It is proof FCA US LLC (Manufacturer of my 2019 Dodge RAM 1500 Classic) knew about the problem with the Pentastar 3.6L engine. The same 3.6L engine in the recall. Or, they should have know about the potential problem. The sunvisors fall out of their brackets while driving, causing immediate loss of visibility. To be clear, it's not the bracket that's designed for the visor to pop in and out of. It’s the main bracket that holds the visor supposedly permanently in place. Both of mine have broken and fallen out so I know this is widespread and not just one bracket that randomly failed, not to mention the widespread documentation on the Internet of others having the same problem. This is a major safety issue due to how quickly the visit falls into the drivers vision, reducing visibility of the windshield by approximately 90%.

The abs module has failed and the BRAKE, abs, and traction lights are constantly illuminated on the dash. The abs error code is C2200 and it describes that there is an internal abs module failure.

Without any previous symptoms I lost power steering. A dash light came on with an exclamation point next to a steering wheel, and a message was displayed citing "Service Power Steering". Turning the car off and back on clears it, but it comes back at random. I do not always lose power steering, even when the light is on. This truck only has 70,000 miles on it.

The backup camera malfunctions, and glitches real bad half the time, and it sometimes happens while im using it at night. I feel like that could potentially be dangerous, and from a little research I have found that there are some recalls for this problem, but my truck isnt listed when I check the NHTSA. database.

While driving on the highway the truck lowered to aero mode as it should. After awhile it lowered to entry mode but still said that it was in aero mode on the dash. This caused the handling of the vehicle to become very hard. Once I pulled over and got out I noticed the truck was at a dangerous low level. I tried raising it and the I got the service air suspension warning.

My 2019 ram 1500 had the hemi tick sound. Took it in to the dealership to check and verified it was a failed lifter and had metal shavings inside the motor. Dealership said I needed a whole new engine costing around 18,000 dollars. They also refused to warranty it even though there was a bulletin on this specific issue. It had 113k when I brought it in. My certified pre owned warranty lasted until 100k but still didn’t want to warranty it. I went ahead and rebuilt the engine myself costing around 10k. Now I’m hearing clunking noise when I’m in a low gear taking off again around 20mph possibly my transmission now. Has 130k miles now.

While drive northbound on [XXX] departing [XXX] and entering [XXX], the rear passenger wheel snapped off of the truck carrying sing loss of control and the truck hit a concrete median damaging the the front driver’s side bumper and forcing it into the front driver’s side wheel flattening it. Upon colliding into the concrete median no airbags deployed. Myself as the driver suffered soft tissue damage to the neck, back and arms. My service dog was also in the truck but fortunately did not suffer any injury. Fortunately no other vehicles in either direction were involved. Upon getting the vehicle onto a crossroad ([XXX]), I went into the roadway to retrieve the rear passenger wheel and disc brake to avoid any dangers to other vehicles. At the time of the accident I was only able to obtain pictures of the passenger rear damage. I was taken to hospital before I could obtain the front bumper and driver’s side front wheel damage. An insurance adjuster has not provided a copy of their inspection. Additional photos and information will be provided upon receipt. I was driving with my family when I lost power steering and every warning light on my dash lit up. The truck then started lunging. The dealership came and picked up the truck. They told me the power steering control module on the rack and pinion failed sending a signal to the computer that everything failed at once, steering, shifting, traction control, temp gage, abs.... everything

The cylinder that deploys the side curtain on the back passenger side spontaneously blew up in my truck. The vehicle was not currently being operated or on at the time is was parked in the driveway and was completely off. There was no forced entry and no collision it just spontaneously exploded causing roof damage, electrical damage, ceiling damage and cab light damage. The vehicle is currently parked at the dealership and has been verified by dealership that it was a mechanical malfunction with the airbag cylinder. There was no warnings that I was aware of before it exploded since it was just sitting in the driveway but from the information that was given to me by the dealerships this was an issue that fell under the Takata Airbag recalls in 2021. The only warning lights is when you start it up the airbag check system light is on the dashboard. This issue has caused me to never want to put my family in that truck again because thank god none of us were in it when it happened but this could have happened to anyone and thankfully we were not driving down the road or even in the vehicle at all. This is a major safety issue.

The 48-Volt Belt-Driven Hybrid Starter Generator / Motor Generator Unit (MGU / eTorque Alternator) suffered a catastrophic failure on my vehicle at approximately [Insert Mileage, e.g., 140,000] miles. The failure occurred while traveling out of state away from home, causing a sudden loss of vehicle charging, dashboard electrical errors ("Battery Saver Mode"), and creating an imminent threat of an engine stall in live traffic. Due to widespread manufacturer part backorders exceeding tens of thousands of units, my vehicle was forced to sit at a dealership until I could pay thousands of dollars out-of-pocket for a component that Ram has actively removed from newer production vehicles due to its high failure rate. This is a severe, systemic durability and safety issue affecting thousands of trucks. I am requesting that NHTSA force FCA/Stellantis to issue a safety recall and establish a retroactive reimbursement program for all owners who paid out-of-pocket for MGU replacements. My truck's electric power steering (EPS) gets stuck in a left-hand turn and does not return to center. I have to physically turn the steering wheel to get it to return to center which causes the vehicle to over-steer, causes jerky movements and makes drives at highway speeds very unsafe. The steering system gets stuck mostly in a left-hand turn but less so in a right-hand turn. This appears to either be a faulty design of the EPS or faulty equipment, but either way, it is unsafe and should be recalled.

My 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel has recurring electrical/communication failures that occur every day. The truck repeatedly displays “ParkSense Temporarily Unavailable,” “Service Shifter,” “Service Tire Pressure System,” and “Tire Pressure Unavailable.” The ParkSense sensors often do not activate at all, leaving me without parking assistance while backing up. The system also repeatedly pings with warnings throughout the day. When “Service Shifter” appears, the truck shifts roughly and the transmission does not feel like it is shifting correctly. I am concerned this could indicate an electrical or communication problem affecting the electronic shifter, transmission operation, gear selection, or vehicle control. The truck also has an ongoing water leak around the rear window, including the upper portion and near the sliding window. The exact failed component has not yet been identified. The malfunction appeared to involve the vehicle’s electrical, communication/network, ignition or starting system. The vehicle and its components remain available for inspection upon request. On Friday, August 21, 2026, while driving my 2019 RAM 1500 Classic Tradesman with approximately 108,320 miles, the vehicle’s electronics suddenly began behaving erratically. As I braked and slowed nearly to a stop, the engine shut off. Parts of the dashboard remained illuminated, but the engine would not crank or restart. After approximately one minute, the electronics returned to normal and the vehicle started again. The truck then operated for the remainder of the drive. This created a safety risk because the vehicle shut off unexpectedly while it was still moving and temporarily could not be restarted. A similar electrical shutdown occurred on February 13, 2026, when the displays flashed, the HVAC cycled, vehicle power was lost and the key became stuck. The vehicle restarted after approximately five to ten minutes during that incident. The current problem has not yet been reproduced, confirmed or diagnosed by a dealer or independent service center. This has now happened 3 separate times. Once 1 month ago, my husband and I were on the connecting road from [XXX] toward [XXX] by the water plants stopped in traffic and the truck completely powered off at a red light. It took 30 seconds for the truck to power back on, and be restarted. It showed a check engine light the rest of the drive. The next time it turned on from being off there was no check engine light. Last week we were driving on a the main road toward our house going 30 miles per hour and coming up to a right turn then the truck stopped abruptly and died. It completely powered off and took 2 minutes to power back on. We were blocking a one lane road. It then showed a check engine light that went away after a few days. Today after getting ready to enter [XXX] going 55 miles per hour the truck showed a check engine light and the truck started to power down mid highway entrance and I had to try and pull off before it powered down completely. It took 5 minutes this time for the truck regain power enough to be restart fully. The check engine light is still on. It endangered both me and everyone behind me because I abruptly slowed down and risked not having anywhere to pull over on a highway. Every time it has failed I have been in the middle of a road, lane, highway/freeway. With no way to signal my truck has died and no way to move it. When driving, I get a prompt on my dash to switch to park and then desired gear. I get no response from my accelerator until I do so. This particularly happens when I’m slowing down and accelerating after a stop signs or traffic lights. Happens while in the middle of intersections. This happened about 7 times in the past month. Pop up display indicates ABS failure, There exist already active recalls on 2019 Ram however according to Ram Customer Service my vehicle is not among current recalls. My issue is the same as my nephew. ‘Same truck, same year, . ABS failure , disables cruise control, 4 wheel drive, and says to have system serviced.

I was on the highway when the vehicle alerted me that shift was unavailable then the auto start/stop was unavailable then the airbags were unavailable then my FUEL and my MPH were not reading. My windshield wipers started all on their own and could not be turned off! And my EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE INOP. I LOST POWER STEERING and was locked in gear! All while in morning rush hour traffic on the highway! The vehicle gave me a notification to get to my destination before turning it off or changing gears because it would not go back into gear. I got off the highway as safely as I could without EMERGENCY LIGHTS OR TURN SIGNALS and proceeded to a stop light. While slowing down I had no steering control. I pulled over and had to force the wheel to turn then I attempted to accelerate to move and had no power. So I was stuck. I had emergency services come and tow my vehicle to Chevrolet of Homewood at that point who is currently looking at it.
