2021 Nissan Rogue

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure.

Risk. Engine failure increases the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.

Remedy. Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261 or Infiniti's customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25A8/A9 and R25B1/B2.

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Rogue vehicles. The left and/or right rear brake caliper assemblies may be missing an internal bushing, allowing the O-ring seal to move and brake fluid to leak.

Risk. A loss of brake fluid may reduce braking performance, increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the left and right rear brake calipers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 12, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC933. The two vehicles that were previously inspected under recall 21V-286 and did not receive a brake caliper replacement will need to have the new remedy completed.

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2022 Titan, Titan XD, Frontier, and 2021-2022 Rogue vehicles. The in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system may continuously reboot when the vehicle is restarted, which can result in an inoperative rearview display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. The IVI software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 18, 2022. Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Rogue vehicles. The rear seat belts for the left-hand and right-hand rear seats may not retract properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," and 209, "Seatbelt Assemblies."

Risk. Seat belts that do not retract properly may be difficult to operate, preventing their usage, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Rogue, 2022 Frontier, Pathfinder, and Titan rental vehicles. When the Sirius XM subscription is set to "Not Subscribed," it may cause the infotainment head unit to reboot, resulting in an inoperative rearview camera. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. The Infotainment system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 29, 2022. Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Rogue vehicles. Abnormal wear inside the fuel pump may cause it to overheat and fail.

Risk. Fuel pump failure may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Rogue vehicles. The second-row upper tether wires may have been improperly welded to the seatback frame, preventing a child seat from being securely anchored. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

Risk. An insecurely anchored child seat can move during a sudden stop or crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the rear seatbacks as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 30, 2021. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC812.

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles. The incorrect wheel nuts may have been installed, and may loosen causing wheel vibration.

Risk. The wheel vibration may break the wheel studs and cause the wheel assembly to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the wheel nuts and replace any incorrect ones, free of charge. The recall began May 4, 2021. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC799.

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles. The fuel hose may not be secured in the proper position and the fuel tank lock ring may not be fully seated.

Risk. An improperly secured fuel hose may leak, increasing the risk of a fire. The fuel hose may also disconnect completely, causing the engine to stall and increasing the risk of a crash.

I was driving when the engine stalled(the car jerked and then stopped) and the car came to a stop and automatically switched to park and then it turned off, after a few hours it started back up and the it was working ok until I got a message for Update fuel system and then qhen I was doing again it jerked

The component that failed is the OC Module for the passenger side front seat. This module along with the sensors are responsible for sensing and dealing the airbags. We noticed the airbag light and took action as soon as possible. We took our Nissan Rouge to the local dealership (All Star Nissan of Denham Springs) where it was diagnosed. We were told that this part is crucial to the airbag deployment system and without it, we will lose function of most airbags if we were to get in a wreck. This included the passenger and rear side air bags. This is an obvious major safety risk and we should not be driving a vehicle that is such a major risk for serious injury. The local dealership has told us the part is on back order, but it was been almost two months since we received the diagnosis. I called some other local dealerships and was told they also have people waiting on the same part for the a Nissan rouge. So, this appears to be a defect in their Air Bag System and we have not been able to get parts for it.

Coolant leaked into engine causing engine failure. Vehicle has 78,000 miles on it.

Backup camera failed. All sensors are working but when placed on reverse no camera are working

The car has a egr cooler going out, it caused the coolant to completely drain and the car started to stall on the highway and jolt making it extremely unsafe to drive. It caused the vehicle to start to overheat and not be able to drive while we were driving on the highway, it could have caused a major accident. This is a known defect across 21 rogues but Nissan is reusing to help since it is not a recall. I contacted the dealership and Nissan consumer affairs.

I was sitting in my car in the passenger seat. The car was in Park, engine was idling to warm up the car. No one was in the drivers seat. After about 5 mins, the car started moving forward without me touching or bumping anything. I didn’t notice if the dash display changed from P to D. The shifter light definitely changed out of P. As a result, the car slowly moved forward and bumped a parked vehicle in front of me. No damage to either vehicle due to slow speed. No claim filed. No police report. I just have major safety concerns. I pulled a diagnostic report later and found these codes: SHIFT module codes U0101-00 (lost communication with the transmission computer) and U2141-87

In mid-XXX, my wife reported that all the warning lights (except CHECK ENGINE) lit up along with the warning sounds. The engine immediately started losing power. When car was pulled over, it sounded like a rough running engine and very little power. Since the first time, the issue has occurred a couple dozen of times. When the car is turned off for 30 seconds and turned back on, everything resets and there is no issue. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for this occurring (happens in hot or cold temps, wet or dry conditions, all speeds, etc). Owner (me) put a FIXD device into the OBD2 port and it provided several error codes - not of which made much sense. I took screen shots of the codes and put [XXX] AI to work. Tried to troubleshoot myself but it got complicated very quickly. Took vehicle into Nissan dealership on XXX and explained that the codes came on intermittently and described the issue and engine power reduction. I paid for the engine scan ($200) and, as I thought, it came back reading NO CODES. I then provided to the service agent (Dave) an email with a video of the codes happening in real time along with the error codes provided by the FIXD device. The dealership was not able to pull any error codes nor were they able to duplicate the failures. After 1 week, I took the car back since we needed it. The brake booster vacuum hose (OEM part 47474‑6RA0A) is unavailable nationwide. This part is essential for brake assist. Without it, the vehicle cannot be safely repaired. A failed hose causes hard brake pedal and reduced braking power. Nissan cannot supply the part, creating a safety hazard and preventing proper brake system repair.

Constant strong fuel smell that last for day I'm a disabled veteran and I had really bad headaches after driving each time. I have taken vehicle in to dealership and told them about fuel smell problem and they reported they couldn't find issue but even after my vehicle still smells like fuel so much that I can taste it and get headaches from it also family gets headaches to. At the current moment there are no warning lamps on.

I own a 2021 Nissan Rogue SV, 2.5L engine. I have repeatedly experienced a strong gasoline/fuel/exhaust-like odor inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The odor is extremely strong and has caused me and my passengers to experience dizziness, nausea, feeling sick, and discomfort. I regularly transport my children, including a [XXX] child, creating a serious safety concern. The exact component causing the odor is UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I have taken the vehicle to the Nissan dealership more than eight times for this same recurring problem. On some occasions, I was turned away without the vehicle being properly inspected, and on other occasions I was told that the dealership could not find anything wrong or that there was nothing they could do to repair the issue. The problem has continued and worsened I eventually took the vehicle to an independent automotive repair facility for a second opinion. Their written service documentation states that I reported a strong smell of gas and feeling sick. The shop removed the rear seat cushion and inspected the low-pressure fuel pump and found no leak at that particular time. They also visually inspected the high-pressure fuel pump and found no obvious signs of a fuel leak at that time. The independent shop documented the ongoing concern and recommended that I return to the dealership with the information they found. The contact owned a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle independently accelerated and the brakes failed to operate while the brake pedal was depressed, causing the front center of the vehicle to crash into a tree. No warning lights were illuminated. The air bags deployed as needed. The vehicle was deemed a total loss at the scene. Neither a Police report nor Fire Department report was filed. The contact was seated in the driver’s seat, and her husband was seated in the front passenger seat and sustained several injuries, including seat belt bruises and cuts on both arms and hands. The contact and her husband both sought medical attention. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

On July 29th 2024 (two weeks after regular oil change) i noticed the engine temperature rise to the halfway mark. I stopped at Sheetz and waited for it to cool down. I opened the coolant cap and only a few drops remained in the reservoir. I added coolant and called Timbrook Nissan to complain they didn't top off the coolant. I was advised that "those Rogues are known to leak coolant out of the back." I took it to the dealership for diagnosis on August 10th. They advised that the 4th piston is cracked and a new engine is necessary. Nissan is not making new Rogue engines. They will put a used engine in for $8500. (I assume of the same quality). I took it to an independant shop. They found coolant in pistons 3 and 4. They cannot fix because Rogue engines are backordered with no ETA. There were no warnings. The car was being maintained religiously. A cracked cylinder poses risk of the engine shutting down while on the freeway. It also causes super heating of coolant posing a burn risk. Unburned fuel can be forced down the exhaust line and ignited into the catalytic converter.

Last year we had engine problems and the head gasket was bad, had it replaced and it ran for another year. It currently has a cracked head and needs repaired again.

I was on the interstate as I got off the interstate had a complete loss of power and heard what sounded like metal banging against metal in the engin. I was broke down in the middle of the intersection. Had to push the sub out of the road. The vech was towed to Nissan dealership and was told my vech was not covered under the engine recall.

Complaint Description: On XXX, my 2021 Nissan Rogue would not start due to a busted engine block, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The vehicle was serviced exclusively at Kraft Nissan in [XXX], from the time of purchase until approximately one year prior to the failure, following the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule. I contacted Nissan regarding the engine bearing recall affecting 2021-2024 Rogue vehicles equipped with the VC-Turbo engine (Nissan recall numbers R25A8/A9 and R25B1/B2), which addresses bearing failures that can breach the engine block and increase the risk of engine fire. There is a piece missing on the back of one of my seatbelt buckle latches (back drivers side). It looks like the latch is splitting open. All of the sudden the back drivers side door is stuck closed/shut and often won’t open. I contacted Victory Nissan on Mechanicsville Turnpike at [XXX] and called Nissan customer service at [XXX] and spoke with Shavonke. They told me there was no recall on my VIN# and because of the 100778 mileage there was nothing they could do. I disputed that there was a recall on this very issue down to the same side (the drivers side) as well as class action lawsuits. Nissan still would not take ownership and expects me to pay them hundreds of dollars to repair a defect they have been advised of that they actually have a limited recall and class action lawsuits in regards to. Check engine light code detected fuel leak. Fuel could be smelled outside of car when operated or parked. Took car to Nissan to inspect fuel leak. Fuel pump had to be replaced due to a leak per Nissan technician. There is a recall on 2021 Nissan Rogues due fuel leak. My 2021 Nissan Rogue was not covered in the recall because of my VIN.

The cameras do not work. I have the beeping sound when I am in reverse but no camera view at all. Even when I am in park and hit the camera button nothing appears. I have done a soft and hard reset and that did not work.

I was driving on I25 south towards Albuquerque. I was changing lanes and another vehicle slammed into me causing me to crash into the guard rail. I was going 75 miles per hour at the time and my air bags did not deploy and my vehicle is very likely totaled. Due to airbags not deploying my head hit the steering wheel and window many times. The vehicle is available for inspection if requested.

The fuel/engine vapor ventilation system in the driver-side engine bay is leaking raw fuel fumes into the fresh air intake. Yes, the vehicle and all components are available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Inhaling continuous raw gasoline fumes while driving and idling causes physical distress, including severe headaches, burning eyes, and dizziness, creating a driving hazard. The unaddressed raw fuel leak under the hood also poses an elevated fire safety risk. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?Pinnacle Nissan previously confirmed a fuel leak and replaced the fuel tank and lock ring assembly. ABC Nissan inspected the vehicle for over a week, confirmed testing was conducted, but reported they were unable to pinpoint the engine bay leak source. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Inspected by Pinnacle Nissan and ABC Nissan service departments under active Nissan Consumer Affairs Case #56847990. The left headliner above the small rear window is wet/stained after heavy rain or a car wash. I have had this issue previously with the front left headliner and the clips were replaced. The same issue is occurring with the rear left headliner now. The risk of mold exposure, water damage, etc. is high.

Hi, smell a very strong gas smell inside the cabin. And it doesn't matter if the fuel tank is full are nearly empty.

I was driving my 2021 Nissan Rogue on the highway, returning from the airport after picking up a friend, when the check engine light illuminated and the vehicle began jerking on acceleration. The vehicle lost power and would only move very slowly, leaving me traveling well below highway speed in active traffic. This created an extremely dangerous situation, as surrounding vehicles were approaching at full highway speed while my vehicle could not accelerate or maintain a safe speed. The vehicle also appeared to be running hot. I did not feel safe continuing to drive the vehicle, so I stopped driving it and had it taken to Crest Nissan of Frisco (Frisco, TX) for diagnosis. The dealership retrieved diagnostic trouble codes P1217 (engine overheat) and P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire). Upon inspection, they found low coolant, pressure-tested the cooling system, and confirmed that coolant is entering multiple cylinders, causing the misfire and overheating. The dealership states the engine cannot be repaired and the long block engine assembly must be replaced, at a quoted cost of $6,955.49. The vehicle is barely outside the manufacturer's warranty by time and mileage. There was no warning prior to this failure, and the vehicle has been properly maintained. This is an internal engine failure (coolant intrusion into the cylinders), not a maintenance-related issue. I have two major safety concerns for my 2021 Nissan Rogue. 1) FAILED REAR DOOR ACTUATORS ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE: I own a 2021 Nissan Rogue with approximately 68,000 miles. The rear driver AND passenger side door lock actuator failed, causing the rear doors to no longer lock or unlock electronically using either the key fob or the interior power door lock switch. The door must now be operated manually from the inside, no one can freely open the doors from the outside. I have to crawl in the backseat to open the doors. This creates a safety concern because, in an emergency, a rear passenger may not be able to quickly exit the vehicle if the door cannot be unlocked electronically. This failure affects a rear passenger door and could delay a child's or other passenger's ability to exit the vehicle quickly in an emergency if the electronic lock cannot be operated. It also creates a vehicle security concern because the door does not lock properly. I have found multiple reports from other 2021 Nissan Rogue owners describing the same rear door lock actuator failure at similar mileage. This appears to be more than an isolated incident. I am reporting a strong gasoline odor inside my 2021 Nissan Rogue. The smell is noticeable both while driving and after the vehicle has been parked, and it is strong enough to enter the passenger cabin. The smell is persistent and has not gone away. I believe this issue presents a significant safety hazard to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. I request that the NHTSA investigate this issue to determine whether it is a widespread defect affecting 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles and whether a safety recall or other corrective action is warranted. Had to replace engine around 136000 and pay for it out of pocket. I am finding other people with the same model and year having this same issue This is what they said "verified cel was on. vehicle was running really bad, there was no coolant in the reservoir, i pulled spark plugs and inspected all the cylinders, cylinders 3 & 4 spark plugs were covered in fluid and were black. i used combustion checker to test coolant in cooling system and found there was combustion gases in the coolant. i then filled up coolant pressure tested while using borescope to check the cylinders, and i found cylinders 3 & 4 are actively leaking coolant from head gasket. there looks to be a gap between both cylinders like the head and or block is warped from over heating. will need engine replacement and transfer of all necessary parts"

As I am driving on the freeway my drivers assistance is taking control of my steering and steering me either sharp to the left or right and then I can’t move the steering wheel for about 10 seconds at a time

The contact stated while her husband was driving 75 MPH in the far-left lane, with the contact in the front passenger's seat, the vehicle completely lost power steering functionality in heavy traffic. Both the contact and her husband were significantly frightened. The contact's husband was able to drive to the right lane and pulled over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was determined that the entire power steering assembly needed to be re placed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle's sunroof glass panel had suddenly shuddered outwards after a loud bang was heard. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to an independent service center, where it remains for further repairs via the insurance provider. In addition, the contact stated that the sudden event caused severe mental distress; however, medical attention was not sought. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.

The backup camera stopped working. Vehicle taken to Buckeye Nissan in Ohio and rear hatch cover removed and a significant amount of water discovered in the rear hatch exposing the camera to this water has short circuited the camera disabling it. Tech checked the wire leading to the camera and reports that it has no power. Only option from 2 Nissan dealers is to replace the entire rear hatch at a cost of over $5000. Water penetration is coming in from the rear wiper which has a rubber gromet around it that is not water tight allowing a significant amount of water to short out the cameras on the 2021 Nissan Rogues. Common problem according to all of the Nissan forums online.

Medical treatment was provided for all injured parties. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 101,000.

My Nissan Rogue Platinum 2021 not want to start I call a AAA they check the batery but the batery was new 3 months I have to call a tow truck and bring it to Nissan dealer on university dr in hunstville Alabama they keep the car for 3 days the call me and said that was the starter and also that the coolant get in to the motor that the car need a new motor that cost 9,000 dollars plus the starter 1442 I asking how is possible I bring the car for service all a time and not body touch the car just the dealership service department im sure this problem is a manufacturer problem because we pay 65000 thousands for this car we pay 781.11 at months we still owe 18600 and this motor is gone that is impossible we need help we are seniors retired and disability we don't have almost 11,000 thousands dollars for fix something that we don't do can someone help in this situation?

The vehicle was puttering and smoking from the exhaust. At first the mechanic thought it was a head gasket, but with further investigation it was the coolant/exhaust. The vehicle stalled out multiple times, twice while driving and once in a grocery store parking lot.

The failure involves the AWD drivetrain system, specifically the rear differential assembly and previously the electromagnetic AWD coupler. The vehicle developed significant shuddering and vibration during acceleration from a stop and while turning at low speeds. A Nissan dealership has confirmed metal contamination within the AWD system and recommended replacement of the rear differential. The vehicle has not yet been repaired and is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates unpredictable acceleration and hesitation, particularly when entering traffic or making turns. The vehicle does not respond consistently to throttle input, which poses a safety risk by limiting the driver’s ability to accelerate as expected and avoid potential hazards or collisions. The issue has been confirmed by both an independent mechanic and a Nissan dealership. The independent mechanic identified abnormal debris during fluid service and suspected a drivetrain issue. The dealership later confirmed excessive metal contamination in the AWD system. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent mechanic and a Nissan dealership. The manufacturer has not physically inspected the vehicle but has been contacted through Consumer Affairs. No warning lights or messages appeared. Symptoms began around November 2025 at approximately 80,000 miles and have progressively worsened.

I have been dealing with a loud grinding noise at low speeds when braking since 3 months after purchase. We have been to the dealership multiple times over the issue. The dealership can hear the noise but are unable to fix the problem. I fear it’s a safety issue and may cause brake failure as it’s super loud especially on steep hills. Rotors have been resurfaced and brakes replaced.

4/8/26 I took my car to a Nissan dealership for low coolant issues. I agreed to pay a 225 diagnostic fee. Nissan held my vehicle for 2 days eventually giving me the car back stating nothing was wrong. The car was returned to me in worse condition than before with white smoke and starting was rough. I called them to inform them as well as making a new appointment. They did a 2nd diagnosis allegedly. Now I need an entire engine and they have active recalls for the same year model for the exact same issues but won’t consider my car to be part of the recall. They allowed me to continue to drive my vehicle when it obviously needed repairs. Nissan is accepting zero responsibility! I need assistance.

All four door locks are now inoperable. Doors do not respond to normal locking and unlocking features. Doors lock and unlock randomly making this a safety concern for those in the vehicle. NIssan is well aware of this ongoing problem and have issued several Technical Services Bulletins as a result, but have refused to take responsibility for this safety concern.

Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Answer: I have experienced the failure repeatedly. Although I contacted a Nissan dealer, they stated they could not verify or perform the repair because my VIN is not currently listed in the R21B8 recall database, despite the vehicle exhibiting the exact symptoms described in that campaign. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Answer: No, it has not been officially inspected by the manufacturer yet because they claim the vehicle is not part of the current recall population. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Answer: The symptoms include engine hesitation during acceleration, difficulty starting, and sudden stalling. These symptoms first appeared at approximately [ No warning lights or "Check Engine" messages appeared

The Navigation/Entertainment system randomly freezes in heavy traffic and screen goes blank in some instances. Hard reset by turning off car is required and works in some cases. This is a serious safety risk and could cause an accident resulting in injury or death. Nissan Corporate has been notified, initial response was that it needed to occur in front of a Nissan service center tech before they would consider fixing the system. (That is not possible when you are nowhere near a Nissan dealership, nor would you be able to navigate there with a frozen system. This problem has been reported by many Nissan owners and Nissan Corporate refuses to fix the problem There is a case opened at Franklin, Tn corporate. A water intrusion issue developed originating from the roof/moonroof area of the vehicle. The problem was initially diagnosed by an authorized dealership as a failure in the moonroof drain system, and the drain tubes were replaced. The repair was completed and marked as resolved. However, the leak continued after the repair. Upon further inspection, the dealership identified the source of the leak as the moonroof rubber seal and recommended replacement of the seal assembly. Water intrusion is entering the headliner and traveling into the upper A-pillar area. This area contains curtain airbag components and associated electrical systems. The presence of moisture in this location raises concern about potential impact to airbag functionality and overall vehicle safety. There were no warning lights or system messages prior to or during the occurrence of this issue. The failure presents as visible water intrusion, including wet headliner material and moisture accumulation near the A-pillar. The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by an authorized dealership. The initial repair attempt did not resolve the problem, and the condition remains present. The affected components (drain system and seal area) are available for inspection upon request.

Three out of the four door lock actuators have gone bad. It’s the front driver side door, rear driver side door, and rear passenger side door. That’s not normal wear and tear, that’s a defect and it’s a safety issue.

Additionally, while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle jerked, the engine overheated, and the vehicle unintendedly decelerated to 15 MPH. The contact pulled over to the side of the road temporarily. The vehicle was then driven for one mile to the mother's residence. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a blown head gasket and engine. A video of the failure was sent to the contact, and the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 121,000.

The active grill shutter is in operative and has had to be replaced three times with an 18 months. I was told that this is a common issue with this vehicle and that when the active grill shutter stops functioning, it isn’t a danger to the engine and can cause dangerous scenarios.

The contact stated that the vehicle failed to go forward or reverse as needed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the steering rack, tie rod, and struts had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired.
