Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The front suspension upper knuckle joint may crack, which can result in suspension arm detachment.

Risk. Suspension arm detachment can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the front suspension knuckles and install a retaining bracket or replace the knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D019, N759, D041, and D027. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 24V840.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The driver's seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies" and 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk. During hard braking before a crash, the seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N678. This recall replaces NHTSA recall number 19V-350. Vehicles previously inspected under recall 19V-350 that did not receive a replacement seat belt assembly will need to have this new recall remedy performed.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Range Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under Recall 19V-392, however the repair may not have been completed properly. Due to a problem with the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch), the doors may appear to be closed but may be unlatched.

Risk. Unlatched doors may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. The recall began November 30, 2020. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Land Rover's number for this recall is N476.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under Recall 19V-390, however the repair may not have been completed properly. A spring in the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch) may get stuck, causing the left hand door to remain unlatched when the door is closed.

Risk. An unlatched door may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the software, and inspect the KV latches, replacing them if necessary, free of charge. This recall is expected to begin July 24, 2020. Risk. The unlatched door may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. The driver's seat belt Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) may not lock as designed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

Risk. If the driver brakes prior to a crash, the ELR will not lock at the correct g-force level, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat belt assembly, replacing it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began September 10, 2019. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N333.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The passenger frontal air bag inflator initiator may fail to ignite during a crash.

Risk. If the air bag inflator initiator fails to ignite, the passenger frontal air bag will not deploy, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag, free of charge. The recall began May 1, 2017. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N026.

The affected vehicles have seatbelt pretensioners that may not function properly in the event of a crash.

Risk. If the front seat seatbelt pretensioners do not function properly, the seat occupants may not be adequately restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2016 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles and 2017 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The affected vehicles have a front passenger air bag inflator initiator that may fail to ignite during a crash, preventing the air bag from deploying.

Risk. In the event of a crash of sufficient severity, the front passenger air bag may not deploy as required, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Range Rover vehicles manufactured July 26, 2012, to March 9, 2015, and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured February 18, 2013, to March 5, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the doors may unlatch unexpectedly when closed.

Risk. If a vehicle door unlatches, the distraction may increase the risk of a crash and/or a vehicle occupant may fall out of the vehicle if they are not wearing a seatbelt, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the keyless entry software, free of charge. The recall began August 6, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P068.

I purchased this car a week ago, and the engine made a loud noise and shut down in the middle of the roadway, almost caused a rear end collision. I pulled to the side of the road and all the oil was running out of the engine. The mechanic said the plastic timing chain in that model is common to fail, and in my case destroyed the engine block, $24,000 to repair a $16,000 car is insane. This is apparently a know issue with this vehicle and nothing is being done about it.

I am writing to formally escalate my concerns regarding an open, unresolved safety recall on my vehicle. I have repeatedly reached out to the manufacturer to get this issue fixed, but I continue to receive nothing but the runaround. According to official safety notices and documentation, this recall involves a critical, high-risk defect. Because this issue is so serious, I am now driving in constant fear, and I completely refuse to take my car on any long-distance trips due to legitimate safety concerns. It is entirely unacceptable that a known, hazardous defect is being left unaddressed. I need an immediate, definitive answer on the exact steps required to get this resolved. Furthermore, because the vehicle is currently unsafe for extended travel, I need to know what immediate accommodations—such as a complimentary loaner vehicle or rental—will be provided while you arrange for a priority repair. I expect a prompt response with a concrete solution.

Rear surround camera has blurry and hazy image upon activation of reverse gear. There is noticeable water ingress in camera lens. Vehicle had issue addressed in 2022 by replacement with part LR060915. Blurry/hazy issue was observed intermittently and now camera is inoperable with visible water in camera housing. I believe this is an extension of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reference number: 24V-023. Manufacturer does not want to assist with the recall on MY18-22 as my VIN is not included even though the issue is one and the same.

Shortly after purchase of the vehicle on November 26, 2021, the vehicle began experiencing repeated DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), SCR, and DPF system failures, accompanied by dashboard warning indicators, drivability instability, reduced power warnings, and eventual shutdown conditions. The most serious safety concern is that when the DEF/emissions warning activates, the vehicle may enter reduced-power mode and ultimately become non-operable, creating a significant roadway safety hazard. The vehicle has repeatedly experienced conditions where it could lose power, become unreliable in traffic, or shut down unexpectedly after emissions-related warnings appeared. The vehicle required repeated repair attempts beginning almost immediately after delivery, including diagnostics and repairs involving: DEF system malfunction SCR/DPF restriction codes Reduced power warnings Fuel pressure-related faults Emissions-system failures Drivability instability Suspension-related concerns Despite multiple repair attempts by authorized facilities and warranty-related interventions, the same categories of failures continued to recur. This condition creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle can become unreliable or effectively inoperable while being driven, particularly after activation of emissions-related warning systems. The repeated loss-of-power and shutdown-related behavior creates risk during normal roadway operation. I am requesting review of the recurring emissions-system failure

The fuel tank support sheet metal has corroded away such that the fuel tank is not supported on the passenger side and may fall from the vehicle. This could cause sudden failure of the vehicle to be operated and possible fire from leaking fuel if the tank falls out.

Filing a complaint about lack of remedy for NHTSA Recall Number 25V-514, manufacture recall number D019. I planned to put this car on Turo to rent, and I cannot list it if it has an active recall. It’s a financial strain for me, and I would greatly appreciate a fix.

Fuel tank cradle/support is rusted and might cause fuel tank to fall.

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall affecting my 2016 Range Rover Sport TDV6, VIN: [XXX] . This vehicle is subject to Recall D019 (NHTSA Recall 25V-514). Despite the recall being issued, I have contacted the dealership multiple times and have repeatedly been told that the remedy or required parts are not yet available. There has been no clear timeline provided for when the repair will be available. Both the front and rear components associated with this recall on my vehicle appear visibly defective and concerning. This creates a significant safety concern for me as the operator of the vehicle. I rely on this vehicle daily and should not be forced to continue driving a vehicle with known defective safety-related components while waiting indefinitely for the manufacturer to supply parts. A safety recall should include a prompt and effective remedy. The ongoing delay in making repair parts available places vehicle owners and the public at risk and undermines the purpose of issuing a safety recall. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that the manufacturer be required to provide a timely repair remedy. Owners should not be left operating vehicles with known safety defects due to delays in recall implementation. The fuel tank shields are disintegrating due to rust buildup because of poor quality materials. this is a very concerning issue since on these Range Rovers the fuel tank shields actually support the fuel tank. my biggest concern would be for the fuel tank to eject itself and cause a major incident. Range Rover is aware of this situation as it is happening on a lot of these models.

On 17th of January, 2026, the backseat door, behind Driver's seat, failed and continues to fail to close and/or latch shut due to door/keyless latching mechanism/system. On January 17, 2026 backseat door, behind Driver's seat, swung open twice while driving and would not latch or shut close. Backseat door, behind Driver's seat, continues to fail to close or latch shut securely. Only warning of this was the lights turning on in the vehicle during the event. Upon returning home and looking up online what could be the cause and how to remedy I found Land Rover Recall P068, which states: NOTIFICATION OF SAFETY RECALL P068: VEHICLE DOOR MAY NOT LATCH, SERVICE BULLETIN. 16-JUN-15 NO.: SRE15-12 SECTION: RECALL MARKET: USA: A concern has been identified on 2014-2016 model year Range Rover Sport (L494) and 2013-2016 model year Range Rover (L405) vehicles where customers have reported the door is unlatched when in the closed position and no indication provided of a of an unlatched condition. Some customers have reported that one door has opened while the vehicle was in motion. No notification was ever received for this recall. I contacted the Van Nuys Land Rover dealership that same week and was informed they would not remedy and no recall existed.

The Diesel Exhaust Fluid system on my 2016 Range Rover Sport has a recurring defect that triggers the warning “Incorrect Diesel Exhaust Fluid Quality Detected” followed by a “No engine starts in XX miles” countdown. This defect has happened repeatedly over several years despite multiple repairs including injector replacement, injector housing replacement and eventually a complete DEF tank assembly replacement. The failure always returns. This defect disables the vehicle and creates a safety risk because the car will eventually refuse to start, which can leave the driver stranded without warning. The problem appeared again this month, and the vehicle displayed the countdown message even though only OEM DEF fluid was used. Land Rover’s own internal service bulletins describe this issue, but dealerships have been unable to permanently repair it. I was instructed by Land Rover corporate to bring the vehicle in for a goodwill review, but instead I was told I would need to pay for diagnostics, and corporate later stated they would not cover repairs at all. A respected independent garage reviewed my service records and told me the dealership should have performed a BlueDEF regeneration procedure. They also told me this is a known and continuous problem on these vehicles and that it will never go away without a redesigned system. My authorized Connecticut dealer confirmed that the required parts for the recall are available; however, repairs cannot be scheduled or processed because of Jaguar Land Rover’s corporate system outage following the September 2025 cyber-incident. Jaguar Land Rover publicly acknowledged that it “proactively shut down systems” and that “parts logistics and digital operations were disrupted.” This means the recall failure is not due to part shortages or dealer error it stems directly from the manufacturer’s own IT breach. Because of this failure, my family including my three children continues to use a vehicle known to have a critical suspension defect capable of causing sudden loss of control. Allowing such vehicles to remain unrepaired for months due to internal corporate negligence represents reckless endangerment, breach of warranty, and violation of federal safety law. Unacceptable response by Land Rover to remedy a serious safety recall identified and communicated in late July/early August 2025 in a timely manner! Multiple and contradictory explanations and excuses for the lack of solution and mitigation by both the local dealership as well as the national Land Rover North America corporate representatives. Additional confusion and lack of response is related to similar but separate suspension knuckle recall identifiers: D019 vs N759. Further, the company is not offering any other consideration in the face of the delay other than don't drive or "drive at your own risk"!

On 4/13/2025 as my husband and I were exiting the Zoom Express Car Wash, vehicle accelerated as I shifted from neutral to drive. As shown in the footage, I was unable to brake and stop the vehicle. After attempting to brake several times, my husband shifted the gear shift from drive to neutral and the vehicle rolled to a complete stop. The impact of hitting two barriers, two curbs and ditch caused back injury. Germain Land Rover was unable to reproduce the malfunction due to the vehicle was inoperable. Germain Land Rover was unable to identify any failures. The vehicle's alarm engaged as we were going through the car wash. Steering knuckle on the driver and passenger side of my vehicle are cracked. Defects have been confirmed by JaguarLandRover Vancouver in British Columbia. I called JLR in Lynnwood, WA and Bellevue, WA as well as JLR North America and have been told the fix has not yet been determined. The fix is to replace the broken parts, this isn't hard to figure out. Now I'm going to have to pay to get this fixed and cross my fingers I get properly reimbursed.

Vehicle started smoking and stalled on the interstate. The mechanic said, overheating engine caused cylinder heads to possibly warp and leak, overheating enough to cause this is also indicator that piston rings may have been affected, along with all bearings internal of engine. The safety of my daughter was at risk had no one been able to pick her up that night in a timely manner. The vehicle is at the service station now.

My driver's side door will not stay latched and my door opens unexpectedly on my 2016 Range Rover Sport Diesel. I will be in gear, starting to drive and the door comes open and the vehicle is automatically thrown into park. Or the problem happens when I enter my vehicle and attempt to close the door and it will not latch, it just bounces back open. A recall was issued for other 2016 RR models, however my vehicle vin was not included. My vehicle is currently at the Land Rover dealership service center in Tucson and they refuse to try appeal to Land Rover to cover this. The dealership has confirmed the issue I am experiencing. I called the Land Rover Customer Service line and they refuse to assist me, saying if the vehicle vin wasn't included in the recall there is nothing they can do about it. They said there is not an appeal process or anyone higher up that will assist me to escalate the problem. Basically they are refusing to stand behind their product even though they know this is a very real issue affecting their vehicles. The recall I am referencing was issued in 2022 after the NHTSA issue was brought to their attention in 2019. Recall Action Number N336v3, date of issue May 31, 2022. I am experiencing the same exact issue as addressed in the recall. No warnings, nothing. One minute my door is closing and the next it is open.

TRIM ELECTRICAL - Upon dealer service inspection, technician found the air bag light on. DTCS code B0020-13 left side airbag deployment control circuit open due to the wiring harness routed under the driver's seat becoming chafed as a result of the automatic seat adjustment resulting in a nondeployment or late deployment of airbag. Dealer recommended replacement of the wiring harness. THIS IS A DEFECTIVE DESIGN - this is a stock vehicle with 63k miles and normal use of moving the electronic driver's seat forward or back should not interfere with an airbag's performance.

Airbag warning light is triggered intermittently. Dealer diagnostic found fault for the driver side front seat air bag.

I had a 64,000 mile tune up on my vehicle upon picking up the car the tech mentioned I may want to replace start/stop switch as it “felt funny upon reprogramming the vehicle” I was given a written estimate and sent on my way in the vehicle. Driving on the highway 66mph heard a ding looked at dash to see a “start/stop switch fail” warning and the car went completely dead I had no blinker no hazards nothing thankfully I was in travel lane and there was a breakdown lane available to move into. The vehicle lost acceleration and I was forced to pull over. Yes safety of myself and others was at risk - Not only was I in traffic, but my family was in the vehicle. No warnings, indicators, or messages appeared. In 2016, Land Rover issued a Special Service Message, SSM 72578 - Crankshaft/Crankshaft Bearing Concerns - 3.0 TDV6 Diesel Engine. This message depicts the symptoms I experienced. The Land Rover service technicians stated the engine no longer turns and is seized.
