Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The front suspension upper knuckle joint may crack, which can result in suspension arm detachment.

Risk. Suspension arm detachment can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the front suspension knuckles and install a retaining bracket or replace the knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D019, N759, D041, and D027. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 24V840.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Range Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under Recall 19V-392, however the repair may not have been completed properly. Due to a problem with the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch), the doors may appear to be closed but may be unlatched.

Risk. Unlatched doors may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. The recall began November 30, 2020. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Land Rover's number for this recall is N476.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Ranger Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles. Due to a problem with the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch), the doors may appear to be closed but may be unlatched.

Risk. The unlatched door may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2019. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N335. Note: Vehicles in this recall were previously recalled under recall number 15V-385 and need to be remedied again.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured June 2, 2015, to June 11, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the second row seat back may not latch properly, especially in the center section.

Risk. In the event of a crash, if the seat back is not properly latched, the seat belt may not properly restrain the occupant, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the second row seat mechanism, replacing it as required, free of charge. The recall began on November 12, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P072.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Range Rover vehicles manufactured July 26, 2012, to March 9, 2015, and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured February 18, 2013, to March 5, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the doors may unlatch unexpectedly when closed.

Risk. If a vehicle door unlatches, the distraction may increase the risk of a crash and/or a vehicle occupant may fall out of the vehicle if they are not wearing a seatbelt, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the keyless entry software, free of charge. The recall began August 6, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P068.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured August 23, 2012, to February 5, 2015, and 2014-2015 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured June 16, 2013, to February 5, 2015. In the affected vehicles, a light weight adult front seat passenger may be improperly classified by the occupant classification system (OCS) and, as a result, the front seat passenger air bag may be disabled.

Risk. If the front passenger air bag is disabled during a vehicle crash, there is an increased risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the OCS software, free of charge. The recall began April 9, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P059.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2015 Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and LR4 vehicles manufactured January 6, 2015, to January 23, 2015. The affected vehicles have wheel lug nuts that may crack and detach from the wheel hub stud.

Risk. If one or more of the wheel lug nuts crack or detach from the wheel hub, the remaining lug nuts may be unable to keep the wheel secured to the vehicle. If the wheel detaches, loss of vehicle control would result, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the wheel nuts with new wheel nuts, free of charge. The recall began March 23, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P056.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling one model year 2015 Range Rover Sport vehicle manufactured November 16, 2014, and one 2015 LR4 vehicle manufactured November 11, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the 3.0L V6 supercharged engines may have improperly torqued connecting rod bolts. As a result, the connecting rod may separate from the crankshaft and the engine may seize.

Risk. If the engine seizes there is an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected engines, free of charge. The recall began February 27, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P055.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured August 16, 2012, to January 8, 2014, and 2014-2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured May 7, 2013, to February 12, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the brake vacuum hose may have been incorrectly routed allowing a hole to be worn ito it.

Risk. If a hole is worn into the brake vacuum hose, a complete loss of braking assistance could occur, lengthening the distance required to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake vacuum hose and correctly route it, as necessary, free of charge. Any brake vacuum hose that is damaged will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began March 2, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Jaguar Land Rover Dallas is actively retaliating against a safety recall complaint. They are refusing a workmanship review and have issued a predatory $10,000 quote to replace the exact suspension components their technicians completely disassembled four days ago.

The gas tank shield on my 2015 Range Rover Sport appears to be severely rusted and corroded\. This shield is designed to support and protect the fuel tank, so significant corrosion could potentially compromise its structural integrity and create a safety concern if it is not repaired or replaced\. The shield also appears to be made from a material that is particularly susceptible to rust and corrosion\. Given its important role in supporting and protecting the fuel tank, I believe the condition of this component should be addressed promptly to prevent further deterioration and any potential safety issues\.

My insurance company notified me about Recall Campaign D019, and according to official NHTSA guidelines, where cracks are found, the front suspension knuckle must be replaced immediately at no charge. The dealership's local staff professionally inspected my vehicle and confirmed that the component is actively cracking. However, Land Rover Corporate has failed to provide a timely remedy for this specific recall, leaving me to drive an unsafe vehicle with a fractured suspension while claiming the repair procedure hasn't been released. This completely contradicts the manufacturer's safety obligations mandated by the NHTSA.

The contact was advised that the vehicle was safe to drive under certain conditions, avoid dirt roads, highways, freeways, going over 70 mph and towing a camping trailer. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable timeframe for the remedy to be available. The contact stated that their husband informed them, and a certified mechanic inspected the vehicle after receiving the recall and noticed that the suspension knuckle had fractured. The vehicle had not been driven. The failure had occurred before and had been repaired at the expense of the contact. The dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the previous repairs were completed correctly and no cause for the failure occurring again was identified. After the failure occurred again and the recall notice was received by another dealer, Land Rover Lakeland, 2550 Interstate Dr, Lakeland, FL 33805, was contacted, and it was confirmed that there was no remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed the remedy was not available, and therefore, reimbursement could not be provided till there was a remedy. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the failure of Land Rover and its authorized dealership network to complete Safety Recall D019 involving the front suspension knuckle crack on my 2015 Range Rover Sport. I received the official recall notice in September 2025. The recall concerns a serious safety defect involving the front suspension system, which presents a substantial risk of loss of vehicle control, crash, injury, or worse. Despite the seriousness of this defect and the passage of many months, the required repair has still not been completed. Since receiving the notice, I have repeatedly contacted the dealership from which I purchased the vehicle, as well as representatives associated with the manufacturer, seeking to schedule the repair. Each time, I have been met with delays, conflicting information, and excuses regarding parts availability. Most recently, I was informed that “tariffs” are allegedly responsible for the inability to provide the replacement parts. This explanation is unacceptable. Federal safety recalls are intended to protect consumers from dangerous defects, and manufacturers have a legal obligation to provide timely remedies once a recall has been issued. It is unreasonable and unsafe for consumers to continue operating vehicles subject to a known suspension defect for months without access to the necessary repair. Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2015 Range Rover Sport VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: Approximately 127,000+ I purchased this vehicle in 2015 from Jaguar Land Rover Parsippany, New Jersey, and have consistently maintained it through authorized Jaguar Land Rover service providers. Since as early as 2017, I have reported recurring engine, throttle, and coolant-related issues. As documented in my prior complaint to Land Rover corporate dated April 2017, I raised concerns regarding service integrity and handling of my vehicle (Exhibit A). In September 2017, I reported that the vehicle would not accelerate properly, required restarting to function, and exhibited drive mode and throttle issues (Exhibit B). By 2021, Jaguar Land Rover Glen Cove service records confirmed coolant leakage from engine cross-over pipes, repeated low coolant warnings, and engine-related concerns requiring repair (Exhibit C). Additional diagnostics identified check engine light activation, restricted performance mode, and recommended repairs that were not resolved (Exhibit D). The manufacturer was informed of the failure and advised the contact that the failure was due to normal wear and tear. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.

While inspecting my vehicle, I discovered a crack on the driver’s side steering knuckle. I’ve learned that NHTSA Recall 24V-840 was issued for this exact issue on full-size Range Rovers. However, the same problem has occurred on my Range Rover Sport (L494), in the identical location. The affected part numbers are LR146347 (front left) and LR146346 (front right), which match those referenced in the existing recall. This is a serious safety concern—I am currently unable to drive the vehicle due to the risk. I’ve attached two photos for reference. One clearly shows a linear crack near the bolt. In the other, you can see the factory-applied green alignment marker is now offset, further indicating a structural failure. The contact stated that his daughter brought her vehicle to a local dealer for service where the contact was advised that her vehicle was not drivable due to the knuckle being cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure. The contact stated that the symptoms experienced relate to those of NHTSA campaign number 24V840000 (STEERING) However her vehicle was not included in a recall.

Subject: Recall Complaint – Complaint No. 24V840000 / Land Rover Recall N759 Vehicle Information: 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Issue Description: I discovered a crack in the passenger-side steering knuckle of my vehicle, caused by a manufacturing defect where the bolt was over-torqued. This defect risks catastrophic steering failure, potentially leading to a severe accident. While this issue is part of a recall in Canada and similar recalls for other Land Rover models (Discovery Sport, Evoque) exist in the U.S., my vehicle has not been included in the U.S. recall. Service Attempt: Land Rover of Huntington refused to honor the recall, citing my VIN’s exclusion, and quoted over $9,000 for repairs. I escalated the issue to Rey Rodriguez, an executive specialist with Land Rover North America, but was told: "You have reached the highest level within Land Rover North America... your VIN is not part of the recall, and no further reconsideration will occur." Safety Concern: This defect can go unnoticed, putting drivers at risk of steering failure and fatal accidents. Land Rover's refusal to address this known safety issue endangers consumers. Both front knuckles found to have cracks in the aluminum casting where the upper control arm mounts to the knuckles. Failure of this portion of the knuckle will result in complete loss of control of the car. This problem is well documented in other L494 and L405 Range Rovers with recalls currently active in other countries where these car were sold. The components have not been inspected by 3rd party as of yet due to safety concerns with transporting the vehicle to locations. No warning lamps or noises were present as there is no way for the vehicle to detect this failure which only occurs catastrophically without warning. Photos attached are of both knuckles with cracks.

Both the right and left suspension knuckles were cracked. This represented a potentially very dangerous situation if either knuckle had broken at high speed.

My car has manufacturer defect / crack on steering knuckle. There has been recall in UK and Canada. Why not in states? Driving with crack / defect in steering knuckle is extremely dangerous. I replaced a dead battery after trying to jump start or charge. while doing so I noticed a strong odor of gas. I noticed of large damp spot on the ground. Later I moved the car and a companion looked under the car and noticed gas streaming underneath when I started the car. This was dangerous situation and a large amount of gas. Had a spark occurred when I was working on the battery the explosion would have destroyed the car and injured anyone near... Recall N23 addresses the same issue defective fuel tank yet range rover customer service said the vin is not listed on recall. I was driving my 2015 Range Rover Sport, when a low battery symbol displayed on the dashboard. I drove 3 miles away to go to AutoZone to buy a new battery and as I parked the vehicle, I noticed smoke coming from the hood of the vehicle. My brother and I ran inside of AutoZone and asked them if they had a fire extinguisher because my car had a little fire on the driver’s side of the engine. I got AAA to tow my vehicle into the Land Rover dealership/Maintenance repair shop. The repair specialist I’m assigned to (Sam Haidary) at the Land Rover location in Freeport, Long Island NY, told me that the fire issue with the vehicle didn’t come from the alternator or the weak battery, so I did some research online because I personally know someone that went through this same issue (i.e. Range Rover Sport catching on fire with no warning) as I just went through. I came across this article that’s addressing the same exact issue (the engine catching fire) that happened to my 2015 Range Rover Sport. While driving home on the evening of June 27, 2023, a distance of about 15 miles, the low coolant light suddenly came on, and as we tried pulling over on the next freeway exit, the engine appeared to seize and cut out. It was difficult to brake and steer the car and we were nervous to get in an accident. We came to a rest off the freeway and then officers helped us push our car into a nearby Auto Zone. We left it there overnight to rest and when we came back the next day, the engine would not start. Had it towed to a nearby independent service center where they determined both engine heads had blown. The car is available for inspection. I have called the manufacturer to see if there were any recalls related to this and found a P055 recall for this model. The description in this recall is very similar to what we experienced.

CAR BURNED DOWN STARTED SMOKING FROM ENGINE AS I WAS DRIVING ON TURNPIKE TOWARDS ORLANDO, FL

Rear driver side door opened while the vehicle was in motion. The original recall of this issue was reportedly completed in 2016 (this was prior to me owning the vehicle). The same door now has issues unlocking. The safety concern is the potential of my child in the backseat having an open door while the car is driving or being unable to open the door to get my child out of the car in an emergency. The problem of unlatching while in motion was part of previous recall and my local dealership confirmed the vehicle underwent the recall and correction on 02/25/2016. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms were identified prior to the issue. The door unlatching while in motion occurred one time in the summer of 2022. The inability to unlock and open the same door occurs several times per week without a known consistent pattern of when it may occur. This began in approximately November of 2022 and continues to occur.

My 2015 Supercharged Range Rover Sport 5.0L V8 has unexpected rhythmic body movements while stationary. One side goes up and down then the other side goes up and down. This repeats every few seconds the whole ride, obviously more noticeable when stopped. You don't know if the dynamic system is working or not. It can push your car further in to the turn when it does it on a turn. If you are used to the dynamic system you may not be prepared for this issue especially since you don't know it is not working properly. This problem is reproducible, it does it every time I start my vehicle. There were no warning signs or lights that alert you that there is even an issue. It scares people who are not expecting the jolt when riding inside. More seriously it is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen because it is a tripping hazard when getting into the vehicle or out of the vehicle. It has the chance to raise up or down the moment you go to get in or raise and lower when stepping out. This is dangerous for anyone. Especially the handicap or elderly, they can easily miscalculate the height and cause them to lose balance, considering the whole car becomes unstable at the same time. I agree with another poster about an issue. We experience this too with our 15' Range Rover Sport supercharged V8 5.0L Dynamic vehicle. There is a dangerous lag in the accelerator when starting from a stop, or a low speed turn. It happens every time I stop or when turning a corner. It is most dangerous when pulling out of a parking lot or cross street when oncoming traffic is coming and you need the car to respond accurately to your gas pedal input. Instead, the vehicle does nothing for 1-1. 5 seconds, then lurches forward. With a V8 510 HP engine thats quite a huge difference in jolt. It makes it extremely hard to gage appropriate pedal pressure. This creates a very dangerous situation when you commit to pull into traffic, hit the gas pedal, and the vehicle doesn't actually move until the delay. I'm sure it looks to on coming traffic as if I stalled in front of them. It's only noticeable at low speed or rolling stops.

Overnight, my car dumped all of my fuel onto the garage floor beneath my car.

My forward collision warning alert frequently goes off unnecessarily but this is not a big deal. However, recently it went off and partially applied the brakes. This should not have occurred and could have been a very big safety issue.

IT IS MOST DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT OR CROSS STREET WHEN ONCOMING TRAFFIC IS COMING AND YOU NEED THE CAR TO RESPOND ACCURATELY TO YOUR GAS PEDAL INPUT. INSTEAD, THE VEHICLE DOES NOTHING FOR 1-1.5 SECONDS, THEN LURCHES FORWARD. THIS CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN YOU COMMIT TO PULL INTO TRAFFIC, HIT THE GAS PEDAL, AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T ACTUALLY MOVE UNTIL THE DELAY. I'M SURE IT SEEMS TO APPROACHING TRAFFIC AS IF I STALLED IN FRONT OF THEM. IT IS REALLY ONLY NOTICEABLE AT LOW SPEED OR ROLLING STARTS.

DOOR LATCH FAILURE. DRIVER DOOR LATCH FAILED AND WAS REPLACED IN OCTOBER 2018. WE REQUESTED CHANGE OF ALL LATCHES AS THERE IS A RECALL ISSUED ON DOOR LATCH FAILURE. RANGE ROVER DENIED AND SAID THE OTHER LATCHES WILL NOT FAIL. OUR PASSENGER FRONT LATCH FAILED AND THE DOOR HAD TO BE HELD CLOSED BY HAND TO DRIVE IN JAN 2019. REQUESTED RANGE ROVER TO REPLACE ALL DOOR LATCHES AGAIN AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE REAR LATCHES AS THEY HAVE NOT YET FAILED. TO AVOID COMPROMISING SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN, WE ARE PAYING OUT OF POCKET TO REPLACE THOSE LATCHES. LAND ROVER NORTH AMERICA REPEATEDLY REFUSED OUR REQUEST DESPITE TALKING TO MULTIPLE CASE MANAGERS AND A SUPERVISOR.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED A STRESS CRACK IN THEIR LAND ROVER'S WINDSHIELD. WE HAVE HAD TWO LAND ROVER SPORTS, 2013 AND 2015, AND BOTH HAVE HAD STRESS FRACTURES FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT RESULTED IN HUGE CRACKS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND SIDE TO SIDE IN THE COURSE OF ONE DAY THAT ARE EXTREMELY UNSAFE. THE PEOPLE AT OUR LAND ROVER DEALERSHIP HAD A REP FROM A-1AUTO GLASS IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS LOOK AT IT WHILE HE WAS THERE. HE SAID THAT THERE WAS A BREAK AT THE TOP AND SURMISED THAT IT WAS FROM A ROCK. HOWEVER, THE CAR WASN'T DRIVEN AND HAD BEEN PARKED IN OUR HOUSE MILES AND MILES FROM ANY ROAD TRAFFIC. THOUGH I UNDERSTAND THAT CRACKS CAN OCCUR OVER TIME, WE HAVE A COMPARISON--FORTUNATELY OR UNFORTUNATELY-- OF AN ACTUAL ROCK CHIP RIGHT ON THE WINDSHIELD AND THE RESULT IS WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT, A CENTRAL STRIKE WITH RADIATING LINES AND A DISCERNIBLE POINT OF IMPACT. HAVING THE SAME STRESS FRACTURE AT THE EXACT SAME PLACE ON NOT ONE, BUT TWO LAND ROVERS IS REALLY BEYOND COINCIDENCE. FORGET THAT THESE WINDSHIELDS COST $1400 TO REPLACE. THE FACT THAT A STRIKE THAT WAS APPARENTLY SO TINY THAT A PICTURE HAD TO BE TAKEN AND ENLARGED TO FIND THE POINT OF IMPACT WOULD CREATE IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS A COMPLETE BISECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD FROM SIDE TO SIDE IS UNCANNY. NOT ON ONE CAR. BUT ON TWO CARS OF THE SAME MODEL LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT ON THESE WINDSHIELDS THAT RENDERS THEM VERY UNSAFE. WE ARE HAVING IT LOOKED AT INDEPENDE
