Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The front suspension upper knuckle joint may crack, which can result in suspension arm detachment.

Risk. Suspension arm detachment can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the front suspension knuckles and install a retaining bracket or replace the knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D019, N759, D041, and D027. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 24V840.

The driver's seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies" and 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk. During hard braking before a crash, the seat belt emergency locking retractor may not lock as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N678. This recall replaces NHTSA recall number 19V-350. Vehicles previously inspected under recall 19V-350 that did not receive a replacement seat belt assembly will need to have this new recall remedy performed.

The driver's seat belt Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) may not lock as designed. Risk. If the driver brakes prior to a crash, the ELR will not lock at the correct g-force level, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2017 Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Discovery vehicles. The fuel gauge on these vehicles may indicate that the fuel level is low and illuminate the warning lamp, when the fuel tank actually has more fuel. The engine management software may also cut off the engine when the vehicle has traveled approximately 17 more miles.

Risk. If the engine were to shut off, it can cause loss of power brake assistance. An engine stall would cause a loss of drive power. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will install a software update to correct the fuel level reading, free of charge. The recall began on June 22, 2018. Owners may Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N206.

Risk. A blank instrument cluster will not show important information like vehicle speed, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport vehicles and 2016-2017 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The affected vehicles have seatbelt pretensioners that may not function properly in the event of a crash.

Risk. If the front seat seatbelt pretensioners do not function properly, the seat occupants may not be adequately restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Structural Support/Shielding on Fuel Tank rusted away due to a well-documented galvanic corrosion issue for 2017 Range Rover Sport vehicles. The joining of uncoated disparate metal surfaces leads to a hyper-corrosion event of the shield, which can cause fuel tank to drop onto roadway during normal driving, potentially resulting in a catastrophic accident. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) North America continues to deny CRC goodwill claims for repair, replacement and/or reimbursement unless NHTSA is contacted first. Requesting NHTSA open an investigation into this safety issue, and further requesting JLR provide immediate TSB and extended warranty instructions to JLR Dealers on replacement of corroded fuel tank shields.

'Hood Open' Warning on Dash: message on the instrument cluster, even when the hood is securely closed. Alarm Randomly Triggering: A faulty hood latch switch can also trick the vehicle's security system into thinking the hood is being opened, causing the alarm to go off unexpectedly, often in the middle of the night. Hood Wobbles or Flutters at Speed: If one or both latches are not fully engaged, airflow at highway speeds can cause the hood to lift and wobble. Hood Won't Latch on One or Both Sides:You may find the hood bounces back up after you try to close it. Went to Land Rover dealership in Norwood, Massachusetts. They’re saying service action is VIN SPECIFIC MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED. Called manufacturer was told to reach out to NHTSA to update with my vehicle VIN.

I am reporting a vehicle safety concern regarding a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport purchased from Carvana on February 27, 2026. The vehicle was delivered with 19-inch wheels. I subsequently obtained an official parts quote from Hennessy Jaguar Land Rover Buckhead — Land Rover's authorized Atlanta dealership — confirming the correct OEM wheel for this vehicle is a 21-inch alloy (part number LR072160) with 275/45 R21 tires. The vehicle was sold to me with a two-inch deviation from OEM wheel specification without disclosure. The safety consequences are documented. One tire failed within 48 hours of my taking possession. The remaining tires displayed visible sidewall ring damage indicating prior repeated flat incidents — conditions that should have been caught in any legitimate pre-sale inspection. Non-OEM wheel specifications on a performance variant vehicle alter load ratings, handling characteristics, and brake caliper clearance tolerances in ways not apparent to a consumer. I am requesting NHTSA document this safety concern and evaluate whether Carvana's inspection practices related to wheel and tire specifications represent a systemic pattern affecting other consumers nationally.

There as been a recall on this Range Rover for 1 year with no remedy. Range Rover customer service offers no answers or help. Dealership inspects vehicles at no cost. How ever with out the recall being fixed this vehicle is useless and unsafe. How long is it resonance to wait for a remedy. Over a year is far too long something needs to be done.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding a defective diesel emissions system and persistent warning condition in my 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Diesel vehicle that presents a serious safety hazard to myself and others. The vehicle was purchased from Ewing Buick GMC in Plano, Texas, [XXX] and was advertised as being in good condition and ready for sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle appeared to have undergone preparation and inspection-related services, which gave the impression that it was safe and roadworthy. Dealer informed me of no inspection being performed. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle began displaying persistent emissions-related warnings (DEF system / engine warning). I initially had the vehicle inspected, and serviced for repairs by Royse City Auto Care, where diagnostic information indicated emissions-related faults. Due to the seriousness of the issue, the vehicle was then taken to an authorized Land Rover service center for further diagnosis. Land Rover technicians indicated that potential causes may include a knock sensor or related module failure; however, they stated that these repairs are not guaranteed to resolve the issue. The warning condition remains active and unresolved. The vehicle now presents a critical safety concern. The emissions system warning includes a mileage countdown that will eventually prevent the vehicle from being driven once it reaches zero. This creates a dangerous situation where I may be unable to operate the vehicl
