Defect. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2001-2011 C-Class, CLK, E-Class, and CLS vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models and model years. The glass sunroof panel may not be properly secured and can detach.

Risk. A detached sunroof panel can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the sunroof panel as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 10, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall is an expansion of previous NHTSA recall number 22V-954. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024120001/2/3.

The bonding between the glass panel and the sliding roof frame may deteriorate, possibly causing the glass panel to detach from the vehicle.

Risk. A detached glass panel can separate from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the glass panel bonding and replace the sliding roof, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 7, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall is an expansion of recall number 19V-918. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2021040012.

The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-350. The contact stated that while driving approximately 62 MPH, the contact heard a loud sound coming from the roof, and the sunroof exploded. The contact had previously observed wind whistling near the sunroof seal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall. The dealer stated that the vehicle was previously included in a recall during which a stress test was performed, and it was concluded that a repair was not necessary at the time, leading to the closure of the recall. The vehicle was repaired at the owner's expense. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 140,000.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E350. The contact stated that while attempting to sell the vehicle to the dealer, the contact was informed that the Carfax History report indicated a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 113,192, however, the Carfax History Report listed the mileage at 257,710 on October 16, 2023.

The sunroof seems like it has gone off the track . I am not sure it's locked in and worried it will fly open and fly off the roof of the car

Recently my wife and I noticed a very strong fuel smell from cabin of this car. When I inspected and lifted the seat there was a puddle of fuel leaked over the sending unit. This is extremely dangerous and potentially deadly for my family especially with 2 young children who are always seating in back seat. Upon checking with Benzel Busch Mercedes dealer in Englewood New Jersey, they said they cannot fix my issue because my warranty has expired. I am now writing to you to help me as I feel this should strictly be a recall and Mercedes USA should be required to fix this leak free of charge. Please understand that out of pocket will be more than $8,000 for this repair and I do have the means to come up with that amount of money. Upon checking on internet there are many E class Mercedes Benz between years 2003-2009 that have this issue. Vehicle began shaking on the highway. It was coming from under the front hood and was shaking the steering wheel. The check engine light came on. I pulled over and had it towed to the Mercedes repair shop. They said it was related to a bad balance shaft and that it was a systemic problem with the engine in certain Mercedes e350s. I was told I needed to replace the camshaft and it would cost $6,000!!! After some research, it looks like Mercedes agreed, back in 2015, to cover only certain of these Mercedes, but there was no recall. I could have been killed if I was rear ended.

Vehicle headlight burned out while driving at night time reduced visibility. Upon inspection found the headlight wires insulation located behind the passenger's light bulb connector melted/burnt causing short circuit. Temporary fixing it with an electrical tape.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the failure was related to an unknown NHTSA ID Number; however, the campaign had expired. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E350. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the sunroof detached from the vehicle and was manually reattached to the vehicle. The contact had experienced the failure several times. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V954000 (Visibility) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.

FUEL SMELL COMING FROM THE REAR, CAR IS A PZEV AND OUT OF WARRANTY, SMELL IS VERY STRONG AND I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE IT WITH A CHILD IN THE BACK BECAUSE THEY GET DIZZY. UNABLE TO FILL UP WITH GAS UP TO A CERTAIN POINT OR SMELL WILL LINGER.

Fuel sending unit warranty was extended but only for a short time. Mine has failed and gas is leaking into the car and MB won’t honor warranty because it expired on my car and entire fuel tank has to be replaced.

Fuel tank fuel leak, NHTSA Action Number EA13003 I purchased a 2007 Mercedes E Class used a few months ago, and recently I noticed a fuel leak, strong fuel smell outside of vehicle when fuel tank is filled higher. More fuel means more fuel odor. Upon research, it seems like there was a warranty extension for 15 years, and with my luck, warranty extension ran out just after I bought the car but before I noticed the problem. As fuel is a safety issue and can easily ignite, and also affects emissions, I feel like the remedy should not just be a 15 year warranty extension, but longer as cars are staying on the road longer and longer. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue out of warranty extension period.

2007 MERCEDES BENZ E 350. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO ILLUMINATED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.

Due to the odor of gasoline both inside and outside my car I brought my car to the local Mercedes’ dealership. Upon inspection they found a small crack in my fuel tank which allowed gasoline to leak into another compartment. The dealer stated they would not be able to replace fuel pump without replacing the gasoline because of the “danger and risk of fire”. I believe that the leakage of gasoline and the fumes associated inhaled presents a very real danger, and risk to health. Upon research I found that this is a major issue that has been addressed by your department. After a 3 year investigation this investigation was closed due to the extension of the manufactures warranty to 15 years. My car is 8 months out of the extended warranty. When speaking to Mercedes’ Benz hotline, the representative stated receiving several phone calls recently with reports of the same issue. I appreciate your attention to this matter. I am hoping this case with be reopened, and the manufacturer held responsible for replacing faulty fuel tanks.

Vehicle fuel system known component issue, fuel pump failure, intermittent. Driving vehicle can lose power at speed, causing potential loss of control as hydraulic assist to steering and braking fails with engine. This known issue has intermittently cause our car to fail to start, or fail in operation. This was a known issue, the manufacturer was allowed to avoid a recall by extending the warranty for this component (fuel pump in fuel tank assembly) to 15 years. Our car started showing this around that time (3 months ago, when extended warranty expired), however we were not then aware of said warranty. Now that we've been two months of diagnosis and discussions with MBUSA Customer Care, they are not willing to replace the known failure point as warranty expired 3 months ago. This should have been a recall from the beginning, and now we, and many others to come, will have the value and usefulness of our vehicles reduced or eliminated. Those not aware of the potential failure of this very expensive part, will be at risk every time they operate their cars at speed on the public highways. NHTSA should never have allowed this warranty extension scheme to substitute for a recall. There is no way to predict failure, and entire fuel tank assembly replacement is <$4,000. Fuel pump is not individually accessible or available for replacement, only entire tank assembly in these PZEV vehicles is available. Mercedes-Benz is shirking responsibility here, and flipping it over to the dealersh

The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E350. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated and with an abnormal sound coming from the gear shifter. The contact stated there was a failure with the transmission and the vehicle would not exceed 65 MPH. The transmission was replaced. The contact was unable to reach the manufacturer; however, several voicemails left for the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E350. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the garage and turned off, the entire rear end of the vehicle inadvertently lowered to the ground. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V264000 (Suspension) however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and the dealer were not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000. The consumer stated the rear air suspension is functioning as designed. Upon restarting the vehicle the air compressor was recharged.

Engine code p0016 and p0017. Defective balance shaft and sprockets

The component/s that have failed are (reputedly) the fuel system resulting in significant fuel fumes permeating into the cabin of the vehicle as well as being very evident around the rear outside of the vehicle. This seems to be more obvious after the car has been filled with fuel. Having fuel fumes leaking into the cabin of the car should be self evident as a risk to anyone travelling in the vehicle, especially in the rear seats. The fumes eminating from the car, externally, are a potential fire hazard should anyone walk by with a cigarette or naked flame. This is an on going problem well known to Mercedes Benz and one that should have been the subject of immediate recalls by MB and not subject to a Mileage, Time Frame or VIN number. Why should I, or anyone, have to foot a fairly significant bill, for fixing a manufacturing fault just because the previous owners didn't get the problem fixed and I purchased the vehicle after some 15 year warranty time frame? This issue could result in someone's death if Mercedes is not forced to remedy it and by remedy it I mean for ALL 2007 E350's to be recalled unconditionally. Consumer would like to amend the complaint to include the recall of ALL Mercedes E350 for the years 2006 and 2009 for inspection of the cause of the problem and the repair of those vehicles where repairs are needed at Mercedes Benz cost.

The contact called an independent mechanic and was informed that the camshaft balancer was damaged and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. AFTER I FILLED UP MY GAS TANK AND CAME HOME AND PARKED MY CAR IN THE GARAGE. AFTER A FEW HOURS I SMELL STRONG GAS SMELL. WHEN I CALLED MY DEALER, HE SAID THAT I THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON IT. HOW DO I RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?

ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I WAS DRIVING. DID DIAGNOSTIC AND IT SAYS CAMSHAFT SENSOR PROBLEM. WHICH MEANS IT'S NOT ONLY THE DIESEL MODELS WITH THIS ISSUE.

BRAKES DID NOT CATCH LIKE I PUSHED BRAKES ALL THE WAY.I HAVE TO PUMP BRAKES 3-4 TIMES BEFORE DRIVING AND WHEN REVERSING THEY LOCK.I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND THE ABS CONTROL MODULE IS NOT WORKING NOW IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.I CAN'T DRIVE IT SINCE THE BRAKE LINES HAV ENO BRAKE FLUID RUNNING THROUGH THEM.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT AN 07 MERCEDES E350 I'VE FOUND THIS SAME COMPLAINT ON NUMEROUS WEBSITES THE WHOLE CAB OF THE CAR FILLS WITH A TERRIBLE FUEL SMELL ONLY ON THE INSIDE OF THE CABIN BUT ITS SO BAD ID HESITATE LIGHTING A LIGHTER IN THE CAR UNTIL THE WINDOWS HAVE BEEN ROLLED DOWN AND AIRED OUT ITS SUPPOSEDLY UNDER THE VERY SPOT MY 5 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WOULD BE SEATED THIS IS NOT ONLY HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND FLAMMABLE BUT WILL GIVE THE DRIVER AND OCCUPANTS TERRIBLE HEADACHES, NAUSEA AT TIMES AND IN MY OPINION IS A NOT ONLY FIRE HAZARD BUT ALSO A HEALTH HAZARD AND IT DOES THIS SITTING STATIONARY WITHOUT THE CAR RUNNING I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING NOT FILLING THE CAR TO THE TOP BUT EVEN AT A HALF TANK YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ITS SO BAD I WOULD RETURN THE CAR IF THE DEALER WOULD TAKE IT BACK THIS IS EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY

I HAVE 2007 E350 CLASS 4-MATIC SPORT PACKAGE, THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF DOES NOT OPEN AND WHEN I PUSH BOTTOM TO OPEN THE MOTOR SOUND LIKE IS GRINDING THE CAR HAS ONLY 75000 MILES ON IT AND THE DEALER DOES NOT WARRANTY IT. THE COST TO HAVE REPAIRED AT MERCEDE DEALERSHIP IS $1500.

SPENT OVER $2K JUST ON DIAGNOSIS AND WRONG FIXES. IT STARTED WITH PROBLEMS CRANKING. I REPLACED THE KEY FOB, REPLACED THE BATTERY, REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR, HAVE HAD MERCEDES DIAGNOSE WITH NO ANSWERS. MY USUAL MECHANIC DIAGNOSE WITH NO ANSWERS. A EUROPEAN SPEACIALIST REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND TENSIONER PULLEY. TOOK IT TO A FRIEND AND WE DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE SUNROOF RUNNING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE CAR INTO THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT. AT THIS POINT VARIOUS PROBLEMS ARE GOING ON. THE WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS, RADIO, CRANKING, ALL INTERMITTENT BUT NOT ALWAYS AT THE SAME TIME. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC WHO SAID THE SANS MODULE IS BAD, AT LEAST. AN $800 FIX, THEN THEY COULD MOVE TO THE NEXT MODULE AND THE NEXT. ALSO MAYBE UNRELATED BUT MAYBE NOT. LOW CAR LIGHT CAME ON. ENGINE 'DIED' (VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER) WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED OR WILL JERK DOWN GEARS AND ONLY CONTINUE TO FUNCTION IN DRIVE @ 40MPH OR LOWER. I HAD TO PULL VEHICLE OVER ON SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH NO POWER ASSISTANCE STEERING OR BRAKING. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED WITH NO WARNING AND AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS CREATING AN IMMENSE SAFETY RISK. MANY OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS AND RELATED CARS FOR THIS AND NEARBY MODEL YEARS. LIKE THEM, I WONDER WHY THERE IS NO RECALL. MERCEDES BENZ WILL NOT REPLACE THESE DEFECTIVE PARTS WILLINGLY AND THERE ARE MANY OF THESE CARS DRIVING DOWN OUR HIGHWAYS PLACING NOT ONLY THE PASSENGERS AT RISK BUT OTHER DRIVERS AROUND THEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 132,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY CAR WAS RUNNING SUDDENLY STOP AND DOES NOT START, I TAKE IT TO MERCEDES DEALER AND THEY CHARGE ME $195.00 PLUS TAX TO SCANNED IT THEY FOUND THE ECM ENGINE CONTROL MODULE NEED TO BE REPLACE. PROBLEM: CAR LEAKS FUEL TO THE GROUND NEAR THE REAR EXHAUST PART OF THE CAR WHEN GAS TANK FILLED PAST 3/4 FULL OF A TANK. CAR LEAKS FUEL, AND SMELLS EXCESSIVELY LIKE GASOLINE INSIDE, AND OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. THIS COULD BE A POTENTIAL HEALTH RISK DUE TO THE FUMES OF THE GASOLINE, AND GASOLINE LEAKING. THE PROBLEM COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO GASOLINE POTENTIALLY LEAKING ON THE EXHAUST, AND IGNITING. THE CAR ALSO WILL NOT PASS EMISSIONS DUE TO EVAPORATION LEAK CHECK ENGINE CODES. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME A GAS FILL UP MORE THAN 3/4 OF A TANK OF FUEL. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE FUEL LEAK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A FIELDS MOTORCARS LOCATED AT (4141 N FLORIDA AVE, LAKE LAND, FL 33805) AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL ODOR MADE HER ILL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 148,000.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF PORTLAND 1605 SW NAITO PKWY, PORTLAND, OR 97201 WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEFECT WAS RELATED TO THE FUEL SENDING UNIT AND NOT THE FUEL TANK. THE DEALER HAD REFUSED TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT AN ESTIMATE OF APPROXIMATELY $3,000 TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED THAT CONTACT NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THERE IS A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE DUE TO A DEFECTIVE GAS TANK SEAL - THIS PROBLEM IS EXACERBATED WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FILLED OR NEARLY FILLED, THE EXTREME DANGER OF THE GAS FUMES EMITTED MANIFESTS ITSELF IN THE PROBABLE EXPLOSION CAUSING DEATHLY HARM TO PEOPLE, OWNERS AND INNOCENT BYSTANDERS, PROPERTY, INCLUDING THE CAR ITSELF. MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A MAIN STREET. TWO MINUTES LATER I COULD START IT. THEN NEXT DAY I COULD SO I TOOK IT TO A TRUSTED MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED ABOUT RECALL. IT HASN'T STARTED SINCE. THE MECHANIC ISN'T CERTAIN ABOUT EXACTLY THE PROBLEM BUT SAID THERE WAS SOME MISFIRES ON SENSORS. UNKNOWN EXACTLY WHAT'S WRONG. I DID GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL ABOUT A RECALL OFFERED TO ME IF SIMILAR CONDITIONS HAPPEN.

I CAN SMELL GAS FUMES AND MY FUEL PUMP FAILED IN MY 2007 MERCEDES E350. WHILE MERCEDES EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THE FUEL TANK / PUMPS FOR THE E SERIES, NON-PZEV, I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT MY CAR HAS PZEV EMISSIONS AND I AM NOT COVERED. THE NON-PZEV CARS RECEIVED A 15 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH UNLIMITED MILEAGE. THE PZEV CARS HAVE MILEAGE CAPPED AT 150K. THE RESOLUTION MERCEDES PROVIDED TO THE NHTSA WAS MISLEADING SINCE THEY DID NOT PROVIDE A RESOLUTION FOR ALL OF THE CARS WITH FUEL TANK / PUMP ISSUES.

THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. ADDITIONALLY, THE FUEL PUMP FILER, WATER PUMP, TENSIONER PULLEY, AND SERPENTINE BELT (WHICH WAS REPLACED NINE TIMES) WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRONIC FAILURE FOR WHICH THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO REPAIR. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE AND COOLANT SYSTEM WERE INOPERABLE, AND THERE WAS A FAILURE WITH THE WATER PUMP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.

ON WEDESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2019 AT 11:50 AM, THE SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY AND EXPLOSIVELY SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT AT ABOUT 40 MPH ON A SMOOTH COUNTY ROAD NEAR OLDWICK, NJ. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF IMPACT BY ANY PROJECTILE AND THERE WERE NO TREES OR BUILDINGS ALONG THE ROAD. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 80 DEGREES F. THE SUNROOF WAS TILTED OPEN AT TIME AND HAD BEEN IN THAT POSITION SINCE THE DRIVE STARTED ABOUT 10 MINUTES EARLIER. SHARDS OF GLASS FELL INTO THE CAR INTERIOR AND ONTO ME (THE DRIVER), PRESENTING A DANGER OF PERSONAL INJURY AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.

AS THE CO-OWNER/BUYER OF A 2007 MERCEDES-BENZ E350, I AM VERY DISPLEASED WITH THIS FIRST CAR PURCHASE FROM THE DEALERSHIP IN PLEASANTON. HONESTLY, THE LOOK/MAKE OF THE CAR CAN BE VERY DECEIVING. IN FACT, IT ONLY TOOK ONE DAY TO REALIZE THE CAR SMELLED OF GAS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. ALSO, AFTER TAKING THE BACKSEAT OFF, GAS WAS LEAKING FROM THE FUEL PUMP LOCATED UNDER THE SEAT SO MY DAD AND I DECIDED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP IN OAKLAND TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS UNDER THE CAR'S VIN OR IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT THAT DIDN'T HAVE TO COST US, BUT SADLY NO. THE THING THAT MAKES THIS SITUATION EVEN MORE WORSE WAS THAT NOT ONCE DID BOTH DEALERSHIPS MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE WARRANTY FOR A FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT THAT THIS PARTICULAR MODEL CAME WITH AND THE MAIN COMPLAINT IN ORDER TO HAVE THIS FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT IS A SMELL OF GAS IN THE CABIN, WHICH I AND MY DAD HAVE MENTIONED ABOUT THE SMELL OF GAS INSIDE THE VEHICLE TO BOTH THESE DEALERSHIPS THAT SUPPOSEDLY THEY COULDN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT UNLESS WE PAID THEM MORE THAN HALF THE PRICE WE PAID FOR THE CAR JUST TO GET IT FIXED. THE SADDEST PART OF THIS SITUATION IS THAT WE DIDN'T FIND OUT ABOUT THE WARRANTY UNTIL THE CAR DIED AND COULDN'T CRANK OR START SO I HAD TO DO SOME RESEARCH ON GOOGLE AND FOUND OUT ABOUT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN OAKLAND, BUT THE CAR WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING A PVEZ. WE HAD NO IDEA THE CAR WAS A PVEZ UNTIL THAT

VERY STRONG GAS SMELL ESPECIALLY WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FULL.

THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE IN MOTION AND DRIVING OVER 45 MPH. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED. BOTH TIMES I WAS TRAVELLING OVER 45 MPH ON A LARGE AND BUSY CITY STREET AND HAD DIFFICULTY STEERING MY CAR TO SAFETY. THERE ARE NO CODES TO EXPLAIN WHAT MIGHT BE THE CAUSE. REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL UNIT THE FIRST TIME. AFTER REMOVING THE KEY, PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK AND WAITING FOR 5-10 MINUTES, IN BOTH OCCURRENCES I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH WAS LESS THAN 5 MILES FROM MY LOCATION.
