Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover vehicles. The seat belt warning system may not activate the audible warning chime as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to conform with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Risk. A seat belt chime that fails to alert occupants that they are unbuckled can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy. Dealers will replace the audio amplifier, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed July 10, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D105.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Range Rover Sport and Range Rover vehicles. The panoramic sunroof side finisher trim may not be properly secured and can detach.
Risk. A detached panoramic sunroof side trim can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy. Dealers will inspect the panoramic sunroof side finisher trim and secure it as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed June 19, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D095.

Risk. Incorrect weight information on the certification label could lead to overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy. Dealers will replace the certification label, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 27, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D082. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning March 6, 2026.

NHTSA Vehicle Safety Complaint Narrative I am submitting this complaint to report what I believe is a safety-related defect involving the power liftgate on my 2026 Range Rover Sport. Prior to the incident described below, the vehicle’s power liftgate had unexpectedly opened on two separate occasions after it had been closed. Although those earlier events did not result in damage, they caused concern because the liftgate opened without my intentionally activating it. On July 2, 2026, while exiting my parking space in my condominium garage, I closed the liftgate, entered the vehicle, and began driving forward. Without any intentional activation by me, the power liftgate suddenly opened while the vehicle was moving. The liftgate struck a low overhead pipe/obstruction in the garage, causing significant damage to the liftgate, rear tail lamp, and related components. At the time of the incident: * I was driving forward, not reversing. * I did not intentionally press the liftgate button, key fob, or use any gesture activation feature. * The second key fob was inside my residence and not in the vehicle. * The incident occurred in the morning, before my family departed for a trip to Washington, D.C. I reported the incident to the Land Rover dealership and Land Rover North America. An engineering review later concluded that the vehicle “may have been reversing” and referenced a timestamp that I believe is inconsistent with when the incident actually occurred.
