Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, and 2022-2023 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, and F-600 SD vehicles. The windshield wiper arms may break, causing the wipers to fail.

Risk. Windshield wiper failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drivetrain roller components, which could lead to failure of the high pressure fuel pump.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2026 F-150, 2022-2026 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, Maverick, 2024-2026 Ranger, 2023-2026 F-600 SD, 2022-2027 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, and 2026 E-Transit vehicles. When towing a trailer, the integrated trailer module (ITRM) may lose communication with the vehicle, possibly causing a loss of brake and turn signal lights, or a loss of brake function. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. Trailer lights or brakes that do not function can reduce the driver’s ability to control the trailer and decrease the trailers visibility to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. The integrated trailer module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 25, 2026. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, 2021-2023 F-150, 2022 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD vehicles. The moonroof wind deflector clips may be inadequately attached to the moonroof frame, which can result in the wind deflector detaching from the vehicle.

Risk. A detached wind deflector can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and repair the moonroof wind deflector as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2025. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD vehicles. The 360-degree view camera system may not display a rearview image properly in certain lighting conditions.

Risk. A rearview camera image that does not display properly can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the image processing module software, free of charge.This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model years. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on October 30, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the remedy is available on each phase. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Bronco, Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, 2021-2022 Lincoln Navigator, Mustang, F-150, and 2022 Expedition vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump may fail, which can result in an engine stall while driving.

Risk. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the low pressure fuel pump on super duty vehicles and update the powertrain control module (PCM) software on all other affected vehicles, free of charge. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 F-150, 2022 Maverick, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 22V-193. Due to a software error, a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system may not brake.

Risk. Loss of trailer brake functionality can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2022-2023 Ford Super Duty F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 vehicles. The fasteners for the front wheel hub extender may be insufficiently tightened, which can result in the wheel and wheel extender detaching from the vehicle.

Risk. Wheel detachment can result in a loss of vehicle control and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect the front wheel hub extender retaining nuts. If the retaining nuts are loose, dealers will replace the wheel hub extender, retaining nuts, and hub assembly. Repairs will be performed free of charge. After updating Manufacturer Recall Number25SA8, My backup camera and all other cameras are not working. Ford is refussing to replace the Module B free of charge. Looks like I'm going to have to pay then go after them to get my money back. They keep trying to update and the updates are not working. Everything was working as it should be it went to the dealership. Now it is a seroius safty as I have no cameras at all.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-450. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a lot of play in the steering wheel. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the steering wheel was approximately an inch loose on both sides. The contact stated that the failure occurred while driving out of state. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar failure; however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-450 SD. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond and shut down unexpectedly. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was restarted and operated as intended. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the fuel system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,350.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-450 SD. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera image was black and frozen. Additionally, the contact stated that the infotainment system failed to display an image of all the cameras as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a software malfunction. The contact was advised to wait for the over-the-air software updates to be performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,500.

Display showing cameras (ie backup, side views, bed, and hitch) freeze in a blue screen and does not change until you restart vehicle. Going in drive does not fix. Also if you switch to bed camera while driving ( to check the load) it freezes or locks to a blue screen and requires you to restart to display radio or anything other than the blue screen, which means finding a safe spot to stop and restart the vehicle while on the interstate.

The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to restart, and the contact resumed driving. The contact stated that the failure recurred while driving on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that both batteries had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000. The VIN was not available.

Sun roof spontaneously exploded and shadderd glass everywhere on open roadway no cars in front or oncoming, rural area. No explanation as to why it happened

The vehicles DEF system malfunctioning issue causes a warning to illuminate on the dash stating the “Speed Will Be Limited To 50 MPH in 50 Miles” but the DEF Fluid is and was in fact near full or full. When this incident happened I did not stop after the 50 miles had lapsed and the vehicle eventually began to slow down on I-80 going Westbound and caused numerous of vehicles(Cars, Trucks, Semis) to be forced to go around me to avoid hitting my vehicle where I was pulling an RV. In order to reset the system I had to pull to the side of the road where there was barely a shoulder to pull over to and turn my vehicle off then wait for some time then restart the vehicle. Road traveling conditions on I-80 is 80 MPH and this issued raised a tremendous safety concern for me. The issue has been ongoing since winter 2023. I brought this to the dealership attention because there is some sort of system/computer issue but they blamed it on my batteries. Then it happened to my neighbor and he has a 2019 Ford F-350 SuperDuty 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel with new batteries.

Gatormade gooseneck trailers equipped with electric over hydraulic disc brakes will loose trailer connection to ford trucks model years 2022+ and some newer GM trucks upon restart of the vehicle resulting in the loss of trailer brakes. Also randomly while driving the trailer will loose connection with the tow vehicle and loose trailer braking ability. Gatormade is aware of the problem, but refuses to tell customers of the issues and are still selling them with the compatibility issue. They are advising me to try and add resistors to remedy the issue.

I have had severe vibration in the rear of my pickup and have been to the dealer 5 or 6 times,they tell me all is normal and it's the nature of this $120,000 pickup. But for only having 28,000 miles they did say the rear driveline and carrier bearing could be the culprit,they replaced and still have the same problem and now it has a howling noise when it starts to vibrate at 62 per hour and doesn't go away till after 76 miles per hour,very disappointed as the dealer tells me they don't know and has been no recalls of this but you read online there is 100s of complaints about this same issue. Now for the second issue is the transmission. It's also been to the dealer 4 times and they also tell me this is the nature of the 10r140 transmission. As I go to pull into traffic to get going when it shift from 3rd to 4th and from 4th to 5th it has about a 1 and a half to 2 second hesitation between both shifts and I have almost caused an incident do to it not shifting to get going. Once I get going it wants to search for a gear every now and again. When I'm coming down from hwy speeds coming into town there has been multiple times it has down shifted so hard it has skidded the rear tires and has made me go sideways,it gets really bad when it's wet. The dealer has rode with me when this has happened and said something is bad wrong with it but plug it into there machine and doesn't show any codes. I then get the run around and every excuse again that's the nature of the 10 speed,they'll

04/2022 F-450 with 13,000 miles (garaged over winter) no boat towing. Reporting the first incident/time connected to trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes is 18 months after purchasing the truck. The F-450 has intermittent power to the #5 pin (+Batt) of the 7-way trailer connection. This pin is for powering the electric over hydraulic brakes. There is also an intermittent triple chime and a visual warning of "Trailer Disconnected" when the brakes are released. When first connecting the trailer 7-way, the #5 pin has power. However if you turn the vehicle off and restart the truck without first disconnecting the 7-way, the #5 pin will not have power and the trailer does not have any brakes. In order to correct this, you need to leave the vehicle running, exit and disconnect and reconnect the 7-Way. There are no fuses blown. The wire has continuity from the Trailer Brake Control Module to the 7-Way connector in both the bed and bumper locations. There is no corrosion on the terminal ends of the wires or the 7-way connector. Di-Electric grease remains on pins/connector. Seekins Ford (Dealership) replaced the Trailer Brake Control Module on 14 November, 2024. I asked them to look into Recall 22V193, but there was nothing about it on the repair order and the service writer didn't know. Though the module was replaced, the problem persists. The tailgate has opened randomly on about 4 or 5 occasions most recently the tailgate opened making a right turn while the horse trailer was connected to it and damaged the tailgate. It seems to open on right turns or when washed or been raining. The key is kept in the console and i always apply the parking brake. It is very random. There was a recall/ owner satisfaction program 21m01 but this truck is out of the production date and was advised this was fixed in production so either the repair the "fix" did not work or maybe mine got old stock. the truck has been out of service for this for over 6 weeks and is still at the dealer. two engineers have looked at it and no answers as of today 11-1-2024. We have another 2022 f350 with different production date and that one has open 21m01 on it which was allegedly fixed.

On 6/7/24, while driving around the Baltimore beltway towing a 44' RV in rush-hour traffic a battery warning light appeared. Within 1 min, the vehicle dashboard information went out and the engine stalled. I immediately put the vehicle in neutral and was able to coast to the shoulder without advantage of turn signals on either the RV or truck as a result. Once there I popped the hood and was able to get out to open it, however, there was a fire and my fingers were singed. After opening the hood, I noticed a full engine fire. I yelled for my wife to get out ASAP. I was able to extinguish the fire (thanks to the RV extinguisher), however, a secondary fire started, and a Samaritan help extinguish that fire. A fire department truck appeared, and they cut the batter cable since it seemed to have started the fire. The vehicle was towed back to the dealership where it was purchased. The insurance agent stated a mechanic had informed him; they believe it was the battery that was the cause. All vehicle maintenance was conducted by the dealership due to warranty AND an extended vehicle maintenance plan purchased at the time of sale. Ford has failed to acknowledge any problems with the vehicle and refused to honor the warranty.

Trailer brake controller will randomly announce "trailer wiring fault" and lose all brakes. Brake power will momentarily show requested power then cut off. Trailer has been confirmed ok, works 100% on two other trucks, ground continuity is 100% via plug only, brake wiring and resistance all in spec for 3 Dexter 7000# axles (electric drum) Will randomly cut out after working for days. Usually when needed most. Dealer claims "cannot duplicate" had been to dealer 4x for it, to include a software update. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Concentration from what used to be GMs in house engineering school. (GMI/Kettering) To say I'm intimately familiar with how this should work is an understatement. Also, the manual slider control should just provide requested power to brakes, bypassing any BXM/TCM interlocks. In aviation, if I use a backup brake it bypasses antiskid, anything else. Towing a 21,000 pound trailer in the Mountains when this thing decides to not work is sketchy. It will eventually cause an accident given that it's a widespread issue known to people but magically no recall. If this was an Airbus 321 or Boeing 737 we'd have an Airworthiness Directive at a minimum.

I was towing my 5th wheel trailer on a highway and up an incline. Almost at the top of the hill a notification appeared on the dash screen stating, "low power mode". As I was on top of a hill, towing a trailer, on a highway, and with no available offramps, I coasted down the hill trying to find a place to pull off of the highway. At the bottom of the hill I heard a loud noise from the engine, noticed smoke in my rearview mirror, and lost all power to the vehicle including power steering. I managed to pull off to the side of the busy highway. I exited the vehicle and removed my kids from the car, moving them up a hill on the side of the highway as it was the safest place I could find. It was at that point I noticed flames coming from the right font front wheel well. I quickly opened my trailer, grabbed my fire extinguisher, and doused the flames. Had I not acted quickly the entire truck, trailer, and hillside would have caught fire. The vehicle is still at the dealership waiting on Ford Motor Company to approve the repairs. The vehicle has approximately 26,000 miles on it and is unmodified.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-450 SD. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, he started to hear a loud knocking noise coming from the engine. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to reach out to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 168,000.

Getting this message “Trailer Left TurnLamps Fault Check Lamps”. This is issue is intermittent but it causes the trailer lights, turn signal, stop light and warning lights on the left side to be very very dim and not visible. The lights would be good when trailer is hooked up but it will go dim and not work properly on the road. Those driving behind would not be able to see turn light while moving lanes and possibly causing an accident scenario. Gone to two different dealers and they cannot recreate the issue with their equipment. Called Ford twice to report the issue and concerns. The trailer has been checked by the dealer and showed no issues when hooked up to an independent battery. Have changed the fuse twice but they were not burned out so it was not a fuse issue. Apparently there are no current recalls for my VIN.

The contact owned a 2022 Ford F-450. The contact stated that while her driver was driving at an undisclosed speed, her driver smelled a burning odor and noticed smoke at the hood of the vehicle. The contact then stated that the driver then stopped and exit the vehicle when the vehicle suddenly inflamed. No injuries were sustained. A fire department was notified however, the vehicle had burned. A fire report was filed. Additionally, the contact stated that on several occasions, she attempted to start the vehicle however, the engine failed to engage. The contact also stated that prior to the failure, while driving at undisclosed speeds the vehicle stalled without warning. The undisclosed dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled for the following week. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to contact her insurance company. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

Connected to 5th wheel, intermittently the brakes would "buck" and "grab" when braking. Message to the effect of braking wire malfunction.

Ford has a "Customer Satisfaction" program in place (21M05) because the tailgate of the F450 can unintentionally come down. These vehicles are designed for hauling and towing, not just driving around town. As such, when the tailgate comes down, the payload could fall out and cause an accident. Also, what is being towed could be significantly damaged. In my case, I tow a large, custom 5th wheel. If I turn with the tailgate down, it's going to create a significant amount of damage and cause debris to scatter on the roadway, creating a hazard for other vehicles. I am troubled that this problem is not a safety recall. Ford is only fixing the problem AFTER an incident has occurred.
