2014 Ford F-350

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the turbocharger. The vehicle was repaired in 2021, but the failure reoccurred in 2025 after 21,000 miles. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 137,000.

Rear view camera sporadically works. It will stop working while I am backing up. Ford has recalled some VINs for the year, make and model of my vehicle. When I called the dealer thet told me even though the issue I described was what NHTSA was requiring a recall for, my VIN did not qualify. I have also ask my dealer many times to make the repair and they tell they do not have the part and can not repair it. Ford continues to lead the way with recalls and seems to not be worried about me accidentally hitting a car or pedestrian while backing up. Any help you can give me with this issue is much appreciated.

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver’s side rear wheel locked up, and the trailer started fishtailing. The contact stated that the vehicle was shifted manually into second gear but failed to accelerate above 15 MPH. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.

The contact owned a 2014 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving and pulling a trailer, the fuel line detached. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a truck stop. A mobile mechanic determined that the fuel line needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. While driving at 75 MPH, the fuel line busted again and was repaired again by the same mobile mechanic. While driving at 75 MPH, the driver noticed fire emerging from the floorboard. The driver sustained third-degree burn injuries to his leg, and medical attention was provided. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The insurance deemed the vehicle a total loss. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 167,000. The VIN was not available.

Since my vehicle has been in warranty I've had intermittent issues where my vehicle loses track of what gear its in and forces downshift to 1st gear. For the most part this only happened when I was going slower speeds. I told my Ford dealer about it but they said there were no recalls for it. On Wednesday while driving at highway speeds my dash lights indicating the transmission position began to flicker then my vehicle downshifted to first gear locking up the tires and screeching me to a near halt.

Vehicle shut off while driving, just missed getting hit. Seeing recalls for the same issue with the fuel system and being rejected for them to admit and take accountability for the issue. As this is on recall for 2019 and up. Same issue cracked fuel system circulated through complete fuel system.

Experiencing SEVERE Death Wobble since August 2024, problem continues today at speeds of 60-70mph on curve and/or hard bump in roadway. Mechanic has replace all front end suspension and steering "wear parts". Have replaced all 4 shock absorbers. Replaced all rubber body bushings, which were rotted or partially disintegrated. Problem still persists. Mechanics have no solutions and have given up. I am afraid to drive my truck over 50mph. Help.

The fuel injection system is the same as Dodge and Chevrolet. I own a 2014 F350 with a 6.7 Diesel. My truck has been broken down for 6 months, after catastrophic failure in the road due to CP4 fuel injection pump. I continue to look for recalls only to find Dodge and Chevrolet who use same injection pump.

On [XXX] we were traveling westbound on [XXX] from Keenesburg, CO in our 2014 Ford F-350 Super Duty at roughly 75mph. We were in the right lane and went over a bump in the road and as soon as we did, the steering wheel and the entire front end of the truck started shaking violently. We pulled onto the shoulder of the highway to slow down/stop. Once the truck stopped shaking, we pulled back into the right lane from the shoulder and shortly before the [XXX] exit we hit another bump in the road and the steering wheel as well as the front end of the truck began violently shaking. We again moved over to the shoulder of the highway, slowing down until we were at a full stop. At that point we decided we weren't going to go to our destination and exited the highway at the [XXX] exit. *We're not entirely sure what component or system failed but believe it to be related to the steering or suspension and yes it is available for inspection. *Our safety was at risk due to the high rate of speed we were traveling when this happened and without any warning whatsoever. Had we not been able to move onto the shoulder to stop the vehicle, who knows what could've happened. Thankfully, there were not a lot of other vehicles on the road both times this occurred. *We are hesitant to operate the truck so it has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. *Again, we are hesitant to operate the truck so it has not been inspected by anyone yet. *No, there were no war

I was driving along the freeway at 65 miles as an hour when my car went into a violent death wobble. I thought I might’ve blown a tire or something. I honestly can’t believe I didn’t hit any cars on the freeway while I was pulling off when I slowed down to about 30 miles an hour it stopped, I immediately went to the gas station and could not find anything wrong. I started driving down the side street and it started doing it again at about 50 miles an hour. It was extremely violent and dangerous. There were no warning lights or anything. I’ve looked online and this has been an ongoing problem for Ford trucks. I called the dealer and I’m bringing it in to them tomorrow. They are aware of the problem. How this is not a recall is beyond my imagination. It’s extremely dangerous.

My truck has developed the death wobble and I have down everything to remedy this situation and no one has been able to get this very scary problem fixed.

While driving 60 mph, in heavy rain, flat roadway the vehicle down shifted from 6th gear to 4th and from 6th gear to 3rd several times. The shift to 3rd from 6th was hard and accompanied by a temporary loss of forward momentum. No check engine light came on. All temperature gauges remained within normal range. The tachometer jumped and fell wildly during each of the events. I pulled off the highway at the next exit, turned off the ignition, and waited a few minutes. I restarted the truck and proceeded without additional problems.

Starts shaking violently when I reach speeds of around 50 mph. This has been happening since sometime in 2019 but I didn’t know how to report it until today.

•Between my wife and I driving approximately 65-75 mph on 5-6 different occasions, with an initial complaint to Ford on [XXX], on I-17 in AZ and other AZ highways the steering wheel and the whole truck shook violently during a stretch of bumpy road or after hitting a pothole. Slowing down has been the only way to stop the wobbling and shaking which creates a precarious situation with semi-trucks behind as my wife has experienced. •Today [XXX], I experienced this wobble and noticed some of the vehicles behind me thankfully had slowed down. I felt I was going to lose control of the truck and possibly crash as a result. As I was about to exit the [XXX], I slowed down to approximately 50 mph and the shaking stopped so I continued to proceed north. There is a long strip of bumpy pavement south of [XXX] and the shaking occurred that lasted approximately 10 seconds as I was passing the [XXX] exit. •The problem has been addressed on multiple occasions: Sanderson Ford on 8/13/2020 (vibration felt in steering wheel when going over bumps). Sanderson Ford on 10/28/2020 (rattle noise from right front wheel when pulling trailer). Vehicle evidenced Death Wobble on October 5,2023. No reoccurrence since. No warning from vehicle before this happened. Vehicle received regular insoections by Ford Dealerships at oil changes. Discussed with Lithia Ford , Casper Wyoming-and vehicle to be inspected on October 12, 2023.and hopefully repaired. Vehicle has 100000 miles on it with extended warranty. No injuries or death

I have a death wobble. Ball joints, sway arms replaced, wheels rotated and balanced and still has death wobble

Additionally, the cruise control deactivated independently. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer who determined a failure with the clock spring. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 MPH, she rolled over a road deformation and the front tires began to function abnormally and had begun to "wobble." The contact stated that she took her foot off of the accelerator, the contact stated that the vehicle could not maintain her lane and was jerking from the center lane to the right and left lanes. The contact stated that she pulled off the roadway and turned the vehicle off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred several more times since the first incident. The contact had driven the vehicle to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the vehicle's front shocks and steering arms needed to be replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The contact stated that on subsequent failures she had replaced all four tires. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 184,000.
