2014 Keystone Outback

Defect. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Risk. In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Defect. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 recreational trailers equipped with Dometic 9100 Power Awnings or Weather Pro awnings, awning serial numbers 306xxxx through 314xxxx, manufactured between February 13, 2013, through April 9, 2013. If the awning installation sequence was not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowningly become damaged. A damaged motor may lead to an unfurling of the awning.

Risk. If the awning unfurls unexpectedly either in transit or while parked, it may increase thre risk of personal injury or a crash.

Remedy. Keystone will notify owners and dealers will replace the awning motor, free of charge. The recall began on May 7, 2013. Owners may contact Keystone at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's campaign recall number is 13-193.

2 WEEKS AGO WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE 20 IN EAST TEXAS ONE OF MY TIRES ON MY 2014 300RB SEPARATED AND DID $9K WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY RV SEVERING GAS LINES, ELECTRICAL LINES AND DESTROYED MY CABINETS! THIS TIRE DID NOT EXPLODE. IN FACT IT WAS STILL AIRED UP TO 70 PSI WHEN I STOPPED!!!!! THE TREAD LITERALLY JUST FELL OF THE TIRE!!!!! AND WHEN I STOPPED TO PUT THE SPARE ON I NOTICED ANTHER TIRE WAS ABOUT TO SEPARATE TOO! THIS COMPANY DYNAMIC TIRE THAT MAKES THE POWER KING TOWMAX BRAND TRAILER TIRES SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SELL THESE TIRES TO THE PUBLIC! PERIOD! AFTER READING NUMEROUS SEPARATION ISSUES WHY HAVEN'T THEY BEEN RECALLED? SIZE WAS A D RATED TIRE 225/ 75R15 LET ME STATE SOME FACTS: 1. THE TIRES WERE ONLY 2.5 YEARS OLD. I'M NO DUMMY I CAN READ A DATE CODE ON MY TIRES. 2. I WAS TRAVELING AT 60 MPH. 3. I WAS NOT OVERLOADED. IN FACT EVERY TIME I TOW I DUMP ALL TANKS INCLUDING THE HOT WATER HEATER. THE SPECS ON THE TRAILER SAYS I SHOULD BE ABLE TO CARRY UP TO 1,300 LBS OF CARGO. I WASN'T EVEN CLOSE TO THAT!!!!! WE PACK LIGHTLY! 4. I HAVE DRIVEN, TRAILERS, BOATS, ETC ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY FOR 20 YEARS AND NEVER HAD A TIRE SEPARATE LIKE THIS ONE DID! I AM IN A CLAIMS PROCESS WITH DYNAMIC TIRE CO.
