Defect. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019 Alpine and High Country Montana recreational trailers and 2018-2019 Avalanche and Montana recreational trailers equipped with cargo trays. Risk. If the cargo tray detaches, the tray may hit someone, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy. Keystone RV has notified owners, and dealers will replace the affected fasteners, free of charge. The recall began March 26, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone RV's customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone RV's number for this recall is 19-347.

Defect. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf
Risk. In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy. Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-574-535-2100, or Kidde customer service toll-free at 1-855-262-3540, or online at www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information. Keystone's number for this recall is 17-307.

This 5th wheel RV has a damaged chassis such as broken structural welds and bent or twisted and/or cracked frame members. Most damage is in the pin box area and includes the structural members that support the house. Damage extends rearward to the structure that connects the pin box frame to the main frame of the trailer.. I have had this damage assessed at an RV repair shop. Their conclusion is that "the only thing holding it all together is the plywood interior floor." It is therefore no longer safe to tow this trailer on the road. It has not been inspected by insurer nor manufacturer. It is available for inspection.

I FELT IT CONNECT AND LET GO, AND TURNED AND BENT WHILE REACHING IN FOR THE FRONT DOOR MAT, WHICH WAS NEXT TO THE OPEN DOOR, AS I WAS COMING OUT WITH THE MAT THE DOOR, CAME LOOSE AND CAME DOWN ON THE TOP OF MY HEAD. OTHER THAN THE PAIN OF THE BLOW I HAD NO OTHER OVERT SYMPTOMS, THERE WERE NOT EXTERNAL WOUNDS. WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW A THE TIME WAS THAT THE BLOW HAD STARTED A SLOW BRAIN BLEED. I DID FEEL HEADACHES, BUT THEY WERE ASSOCIATED WITH POSSIBLE BUSING TO THE SCALP, ULTIMATELY WHEN I TOOK SOME MOTRIN FOR ANOTHER PAIN, THAT THIN THE BLOOD ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE BLEEDING TO INCREASE AND I WAS LATER DIAGNOSED WITH A SUBDURAL HEMATOMA, THAT REQUIRED EMERGENCY SURGERY. *DT *TR .*BF *JB THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THERE ISN'T A SECOND LOCKING SYSTEM ON THE DOOR AND CURRENTLY THERE ARE TWO MAGNETS ATTACHED PER DOOR. *AS
No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Recall repairs are free for as long as the recall stands. Check whether a specific car still has open work at NHTSA's VIN lookup.
