Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2021, 2023 Acura TLX, 2019-2024 RDX, 2017-2020, 2022-2026 MDX, 2017-2021, 2023, 2025 Honda Ridgeline, 2017-2022 Pilot, 2019-2021 Passport, 2018-2026 Odyssey, 2019-2022 Insight, 2019-2021 HR-V, 2018-2020 Fit, 2020-2022 CR-V Hybrid, 2017-2022 CR-V, 2017-2018, 2021 Civic Type R, 2017-2021 Civic hatchback, 2016-2020 Civic coupe, 2016-2022 Civic, 2017-2022 Accord Hybrid, and 2016-2022 Accord vehicles. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

Risk. Air bags that deploy unintentionally during a crash increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 Honda Accord, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Acura ILX, MDX, MDX Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX, 2019-2022 Honda Insight, Passport, 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2018-2019 Honda Clarity PHEV, Fit, and 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, Pilot, Acura NSX vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017, 2020, and 2022 CR-V vehicles. The certification label on the driver's side door states incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), and tire size information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Risk. An incorrectly sized tire may cause premature tread wear, or a tire blow out, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is CF7.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017-2020 CR-V, 2018-2019 Accord and Accord Hybrid, 2018-2020 Odyssey, 2019 Insight, and 2019-2020 Acura RDX vehicles. A manufacturing issue with the front seat belts may cause the seat belt buckle channel to interfere with the release button, preventing the seat belt buckle from latching.

Risk. An unlatched seat belt cannot properly restrain the seat occupant during a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat belt buckle release buttons or the buckle assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Honda Civic and CR-V vehicles. The magnet that controls the torque sensor output signal for the electronic power steering system may not be properly secured, allowing the magnet to become dislodged. During a full lock turn, the dislodged magnet may cause steering assist to be applied in the opposite direction.

Risk. The unintended steering input reduces vehicle maneuverability and increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gearbox assembly, free of charge. The recall began November 9, 2018. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are C2N, P2O.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017 Honda CR-V 2WD and AWD vehicles. The affected vehicles have a fuel supply pipe that may have been improperly manufactured, possibly resulting in the pipe disconnecting and leaking while driving.

Risk. If the pipe disconnects, the engine will stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the disconnected pipe may leak fuel, which, in the presence of an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel supply pipe, free of charge. The recall began August 31, 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is KH1.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017 CR-V and Acura RDX vehicles. The Certification Labels on the affected vehicles were printed with ink that may be inadvertently wiped away with an alcohol solvent. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

Risk. If the label information can be wiped away, the operator may not be able to refer to the information, possibly resulting in the vehicle being overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Honda and Acura will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Certification Label, free of charge. The recall began June 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KF3 (CR-V)and KF4 (RDX).

For the second time this year, all dash warning lights activated. In April, it was diagnosed as a failed battery, which we replaced. This week, the warning lights came back. The car is at Bobby Rahal Honda now, and they say the fuel injectors are faililng. We have authorized the repair, which will cost $1900+. I have subsequently turned to Dr. Google and Grok, and fuel injector failure is a common, known issue for this model based on searches of NHTSA, Honda forums, and elsewhere--though our VIN is not currently showing any recalls, and our dealer is charging us full price for the repair. This appears to be a widespread problem with the 2017 CR-V, and I would suggest that this has significant safety implications. I would like to see this escalated to a full recall, with reimbursement for repairs already completed and paid for.

The contact's daughter owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while his daughter was sitting at a red light and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle bucked and sputtered and failed to accelerate as intended, before losing power. The check engine, air bag, power train, and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and restarted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where a brake actuator DTC: U0416-68 was retrieved, but the failure could not be duplicated, and the code was cleared. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred months later while driving. The contact stated that 1.5 gallons of coolant was added to the vehicle every month after noticing that the reservoir was empty. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where unknown DTCs were retrieved associated with a compression issue within the engine, and a pressure test was needed. The dealer performed the pressure test, but no fault was found. The failure reoccurred three months later, and the vehicle was taken to the same independent mechanic, where the cause of the failure was not found. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic on several occasions, and DTCs: P0302 and P0304 were retrieved. The contact stated that the spark plugs were replaced twice, and the ignition coil and ignition system were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 126,979.

I noticed that the steering on my 2017 Honda CR-V Touring felt heavy, which clearly indicates a malfunction or a safety shutdown of the electric power steering (EPS) system. Driver assist problems car braking and stopping without just cause actually causing safety issues. Computer issues. Computer replaced several times without resolving issues. Ongoing Engine issues reported to honda before the extended warranty was up. It wasn’t until after the extended warranty was up that American honda would address it. After numerous visits to different dealers for services finally this year I was told it was a head gasket issue. Honda refused to rectify or let in good faith making me come out of pocket more than 50% and purchase parts and honda refused to help I had to fight w them to get any help. I had to purchase the water pump and timing chain bc they wanted to put the old one on. They gave me 3 different significantly different quotes without reasoning. Then after receiving the car back over a month and a half later the car had safety issues stopping and braking on highway without reason. The car also still was sputtering and having issues w the engine. I called Westport honda (where I purchased it - where I had a lifetime warranty on the engine where they just finished doing to head gasket) they ignored me for 2 weeks letting me drive around w safety issues. Finally they told me to bring it in. After 5 days they checked it in and told me I had engine misfires. I requested all the computer print outs w previous repair but didn’t receive them. I own a 2017 Honda CR-V Touring AWD, VIN [XXX]. While driving, the steering intermittently feels sticky, notchy, and jerky, like extra friction or sandpaper in the wheel. It is most noticeable at highway speeds during small lane corrections: the wheel momentarily catches or resists, then suddenly releases. This can cause overcorrection and makes it harder to keep a smooth, straight path. The problem does not happen every drive and there is usually no warning light. This matches the well-known “sticky/notchy steering” condition reported on many Honda CR-Vs with electric power steering (EPS) gearboxes. Honda issued safety recall 24V-744 and related service actions covering many 2022–2025 CR-Vs and similar models for a manufacturing defect in the EPS gearbox (worm gear/worm wheel friction and lubrication). A much smaller 2017–2018 recall (18V-663 / Honda 18-103) covered only a tiny number of vehicles for a different EPS gearbox torque-sensor magnet issue; my VIN is not included. All of the lights on the dash board go off. I’ve taken the vehicle to the mechanic and they say that there is nothing wrong. Honda just released recall notice for the Honday CR-C 2017 to update the computer, but my vehicle is not included in the recall. I have been dealing with this issue and the dealerships have said that they have rectified the issue but the problem returns. I think they just disconnect and reconnect the battery which resets but does not fix this problem. I’m shocked that my vehicle is not part of the computer update recall.

The manufacturer, American Honda, issued a 10-year extended warranty (TSB 19-091) for defective, leaking A/C condensers on the 2017 Honda CR-V. Authorized Honda dealerships (specifically Napleton Honda and Victory Honda) are systematically misdiagnosing consumer vehicles to evade this warranty. Dealership service departments are blaming vehicle system failures on peripheral components (such as "return lines" and "discharge lines") to charge consumers thousands of dollars out of pocket. In my case, I was charged $868.44 and $1,184.49 for these lines, yet independent UV dye testing proved the factory condenser was actively leaking fluid the entire time. The vehicle’s passenger cabin cannot be cooled, causing severe heat discomfort. The safety driver assist options work periodically ... all the dash lights are on when breaking system is not working properly. While driving with cruise control on the brake system/driver assist options will fail and car will automatically start slowing down. Not very safe!! The front camera seems to be causing the issue.

Car automatically applies brakes for no reason. Happens at least once a month. Beside the startle factor, I am going to cause an accident by someone rear ending me because brakes are being applied for no reason.

I have a sticky steering wheel while driving a freeway speeds. I have notice that others have reported this same problem. 150000 miles

Vehicle may experience driveability issues, which may result in DTCs P0300 (random misfire detected), P0301 (No. 1 cylinder misfire detected), P0302 (No. 2 cylinder misfire detected), P0303 (No. 3 cylinder misfire detected), P0304 (No. 4 cylinder misfire detected), or P0172 (fuel system too rich) or a whirling noise coming from the engine compartment. POSSIBLE CAUSE Based on certain driving patterns and environmental factors, the DTC's stated above may be set or a whirling noise may occur. Apparently only certain vin numbers were affected, mine is not in the list but im still having the exact same issues.

My air bag light has come on. The vehicle has never been in an accident. There is no damage to the air bag. The shop stated it’s the passenger side curtain airbag The other issue is the a/c. There was a recall it got fixed but my a/c is still not working.

The steering wheel is sticking while driving down the road. This happens all the time while driving. If you move the steering wheel it will go back to normal.

On 05/06/2026 the vehicle was in for service at the Honda dealership (The Automaster, 3328 Shelburne Rd. Shelburne VT 05482). The inspection report notes "Rust Holes forming above rear trailing arms, non reparable area, will not pass future state inspection, recommend customer contact Honda of America @ 1-800-999-1009". They also provided a picture of the problem. I took the car to another garage and was informed that YES, this was a real issue and that the garage owner just spoke with someone who had a 2018 CRV with the same problem. The Honda dealership sent me a Recommendation Letter that stated "***Rear trailing arms (soon), *** State Inspection.

All dash warning indicators come on randomly and a code reader indicates fuel injector issue. That was checked and is not the issue. This is a well-known symptom in this model year that head gasket leaks caused by under-specified head bolts do not keep the cylinder head sealed properly and this leads to many other issues.

Head Gasket failure at 105,000 in 1.5L Turbo engine like all the other CRVs.
