Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

Risk. If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Note: Owners are advised to stop using cruise control until the software update has been performed. In the event that cruise control cannot be disengaged while driving, owners should firmly and steadily apply the brakes and shift the transmission to neutral, placing the vehicle in park once it has stopped.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Jeep Cherokee and 2015 Chrysler 200, Jeep Renegade, RAM ProMaster, and 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles equipped with 9-speed automatic transmissions. The transmission sensor clusters may have insufficient crimps in the transmission wire harness, and as a result, the transmission may unexpectedly shift to neutral. On August 29, 2016 Chrysler added the 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles to this recall.

Risk. If the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to neutral, there is an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, dealers will reprogram the Powertrain Control Module and the Transmission Control Module and if necessary replace the transaxle range sensor wire harness, free of charge. The recall began on November 7, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S55.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured April 7, 2014, to August 3, 2015. During service work, the affected vehicles may have had either the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) or the Seat Cushion Foam (SCF) of the front passenger seat replaced instead of the both pieces together, which make up a complete calibrated set.

Risk. If both pieces were not replaced together, the occupant detection and classification system may not be properly calibrated and the passenger air bag may improperly deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install a new OCM-SCF seat service kit, free of charge. The recall began on May 27, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S09.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured January 7, 2014, to September 23, 2014. The affected vehicles may have a Power Distribution Center (PDC) electrical connector that may cause intermittent power failures to certain electrical components.

Risk. An intermittent loss of power to electrical components could cause a vehicle to stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the C4 connector using a 12 wire split kit for 3.6L engines, or replace the transmission wiring harness for 2.4L engines, free of charge. The recall began on October 21, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R24.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500, 2015 Chrysler 200, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger, 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, and Dodge Durango, and 2013-2015 Dodge Viper vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with radios that have software vulnerabilities that can allow third-party access to certain networked vehicle control systems.

Risk. Exploitation of the software vulnerability may result in unauthorized remote modification and control of certain vehicle systems, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify and mail affected owners a USB drive that includes a software update that eliminates the vulnerability, free of charge. Optionally, owners may download the update to their own USB drive from http://www.driveuconnect.com/software-update/ or take their vehicle to a Chrysler dealer for immediate installation. In an effort to mitigate the effects of this security vulnerability, Chrysler has had the wireless service provider close the open cellular connection to the vehicle that provided unauthorized access to the vehicle network. This measure may not have been implemented on all vehicles and does not address access by other means that will be remedied by the software update. The recall began on August 25, 2015. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured March 9, 2014, to December 15, 2014, and equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission parking pawl may become contaminated or the park rod may become dislodged or broken. This may prevent the transmission from shifting into the Park position.

Risk. If the shift indicator displays "Park" but the park lock does not engage, the vehicle may roll away increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers inspect the transmission. Any transmission found with contamination or a park rod will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began April 9, 2015. Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured May 19, 2014, to June 21, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been built with a driver side door wiring harness of an insufficient wire gauge, resulting in excessive heat which may melt the wiring insulation.

Risk. Excessive heat and melting wiring insulation may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the door wiring harness, free of charge. The recall began on October 3, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P43.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 Jeep Cherokee and Ram 1500 and 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles. Due to an insufficient weld, the rear shocks may detach from the vehicle at one end and possibly damage other chassis components, the tire or result in reduced braking.

Risk. Damage to the tire or reduced braking increases the risk of a vehicle crash.

I was attempting to turn around on my street and was hit on the driver's side by an oncoming car. Immediately thereafter, I tried to pull into a nearby driveway, but the car seemed to suddenly accelerate tremendously and plowed into the back of a parked car in that driveway. I was trying to brake but had no time as the car accelerated so suddenly. It damaged my grill and the bumper of the car that was hit. It appears that other owners of the Chrysler 200C have experienced similar issues with it accelerating when the driver is trying to brake.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) as a possible cause for the failure. The failure mileage was 168,000.

My 2015 Chrysler 200 displayed the warning “Service Trans Stop Safely Shut Off Engine to Engage Park.” The vehicle has approximately 79,136 miles. I am concerned this is a safety-related transmission/park engagement defect because the warning indicates the vehicle may not properly engage Park. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this issue and determine whether my vehicle is affected by an existing transmission-related recall or whether the affected vehicle population should be reviewed.

Code C14A7 and internal binding occurred on my 2015 Chrysler 200, which shares the identical PTU architecture as the recalled 2015 Jeep Cherokee.

Electricity light came on as well as overheating light and engine light all at once also stalling

Vehicle does shift to p then desired gear. It stalls at traffic stop lights. Very dangerous. I do not know what the issue is.i got home to test the issue while in drive with brake pushed down as if I were in idle, at a stop light, and it did the same thing in the video.

My vehicle lost power while driving had my new born baby in the car with me I was told that it may be issue an electrical connection from 2 different repair shops Tuscaloosa Chrysler tried to service the car for 2 weeks and stated that it was issue with the PMC but they were unable to locate the issue why the vehicle couldn’t get power and said that they no longer make that model vehicle anymore and they weren’t able to get parts and referred me to Henry Automotive in Tuscaloosa that worked on the vehicle for almost 6 months and weren’t able to locate the problem as to why the car was unable to receive power after both repair shops although after checking past recalls for electrical issues I see that some electrical issues were resolved in the past on the vehicle however I have concerned that the issues may not have been resolved completely

The vehicle has suffered a total failure of the passenger seat jumper wiring harness, which has completely deactivated the entire Supplemental Restraint System (SRS / Airbag system) and triggered the airbag warning light. This is a known manufacturing defect covered under an active Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). ​A certified Chrysler dealership previously performed a paid repair for this exact TSB defect, meaning the replacement safety component has failed prematurely. The vehicle is currently an active safety hazard on the road, as no airbags will deploy in an accident. Chrysler Corporate has refused to remedy this failed safety system, leaving the vehicle completely unprotected.

While driving my 2015 Chrysler 200, the vehicle randomly shifts into neutral without the driver initiating any gear change. Prior to this occurring, all dashboard warning lights illuminate simultaneously and the odometer display starts blinking so many lights — these appear to be warning signs of an electrical failure that then causes the transmission to shift into neutral while driving and sometimes even not able to shift gears. This has occurred multiple times at normal road speeds and causes sudden loss of power and vehicle control, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop who confirmed it was an electrical issue beyond their capability. It was then taken to a Chrysler dealership who charged $250 per hour for diagnostics, kept the vehicle for a full day, and was unable to identify the cause. Their only suggestion was an aftermarket radio installed by a prior owner — however an aftermarket radio would not cause all dashboard lights to activate and the transmission to shift into neutral while driving. I contacted Chrysler corporate (Case #97099954) who confirmed no open recalls exist and refused to cover the repair stating the warranty has expired. However this is not a wear and tear issue — this is a safety defect. The sequence of all warning lights activating followed by the transmission shifting to neutral points to a failure in the vehicle electrical control system, possibly the TIPM or Transmission Control Module — both known

I took my vehicle in for service because cylinder 6 had a misfire and the dealership told me that the Catalytic Converter failed internally and stated it can happen at anytime and it sends metal into the engine causing damage.

Airbags deployed 15+ seconds after impact. Passenger airbag deployed from the top of the dash and hit the windshield causing the windshield to shatter.

I honestly believe this has to do with me being discriminated by people even emergency dispatch and police from the city of Inglewood , this is not the first time my car gets tampered with, but to start I already had felt something was off with the vehicle because I was parked and it accelerated all of a sudden last night of 03/24/26 then today on 03/25/26 i was on the freeway on my way to work then I felt something wasnt how the last time I drove it then it accelerated all of sudden and some setting on my car where changed so I returned home I didn’t want to risk my life or anybody else’s so i took pictures of the miles 114199 and how the cars is in case someone tries to take it and cause and incident & tries to cause and organized crime so I can get into trouble

I’m not sure but it will randomly die and have to be restarted there are times it does it more than others but every time is extremely dangerous because you essentially lose control of the car until it is restarted and it shift extremely hard sometimes like it feels like the transmission is going to fall out it jerks the entire car violently and there are numerous low voltage codes as well

Airbag light is on , 2nd time my lower control arms are broken and I go through a battery every 2 years average

You have a recall for chryslr 200 2015 for intermittent starting and stalling caused by faulty PDC connector. NHTSA. My car is doing exactly that but its not under the recall why not? It had done this gor the last 4 months

The transmission is stuck in 3rd gear and sometimes don't move at all. It has jumped in neutral a couple of times while driving or automatically goes to paddle shifting without touching the gear control. It is basically undrivable with only 95000, or so miles.

While driving at approximately 60 MPH on a highway, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power, stalled, and entered "limp mode," shifting into neutral or a low gear unexpectedly. These specific codes and symptoms (intermittent electrical short causing stall/shift-to-neutral) are identical to the safety defects addressed in NHTSA Recall 15V-470 (FCA Recall R24 - Power Distribution Center Electrical Connector) and NHTSA 16V-529 (FCA Recall S55 - Transaxle Wiring Harness). Although records indicate Recall R24 was marked as "completed" on this vehicle in July 2015, the specific safety defect has recurred, presenting the exact same failure mode. The Authorized Dealer was contacted regarding the recurrence of this safety defect but refused to perform a no-charge inspection, citing an expired repair warranty. The Manufacturer (FCA US LLC) was also contacted to report the recurring safety failure but refused to open a case or authorize a diagnostic inspection, despite the life-threate

I put the car in park, once I released the brake the car started jerking forward. While this was going on, the dash displayed powertrain failure. I was only able to get it to stop by turning off the car. When I turned the car on following the event, I had a check engine code: P1B13-00 "Park-By-Wire-Unintended Out of Park Position". Since that incident, the car has excessive forward roll when putting the car in park. The shifting has become unpredictable and rough, it also gets stuck in 4th gear often. I took my car to a Chrysler dealership to see if it was in recall R08 / NHTSA 15V-090, I was told it was not and that I would have to pay for them to inspect it. My car was manufactured just before the recall window.

Transmission service (power train ) caused my parking rod dislodged/broken to slip/jerk to lose control of vehicle. It had put us at high risk, no airbags didn't go off to causing passenger to hit their head blacking out and non-stop pain in rotating cuff of right shoulder. It was inspect by the police and city from not being drive-able to be towed and inspected by the towing/mechanical person. The messages that showed on dashboard was transmission failed/ services, engine light and having electrical issues to light was flicking once press on brakes. when idling to pulling off from a stop cause to jerk.

The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. This is my wife's account which happen more than 5-10 times because she operates the vehicle. The car at time's will jump into neutral while operating and the accelerator is unresponsive when she shifts back into drive. She cuts the car off for it to reset and sometimes it does, and sometimes she has to do it more than once. It sometime happens when the car has set for a while and she starts it, the transmission light will be on and the car will not move until reset.

The contact stated that when the A/C failed, the temperature gauge on the vehicle was elevated. The contact parked the vehicle, turned off the engine, and called a tow truck. The vehicle was towed to the residence, and then towed to the dealer. The contact was informed that the Power Distribution Center (PDC) electrical connector had failed, which caused intermittent power failures of certain electrical components. The contact was provided with an image of the fuse box, which showed that the fuse box was burnt. The contact was informed that the fan fire, PDC connector, and assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer pending the repair. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V470000 ( ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.

Safety Recall P43/NHTSA 14V-480 involves the 2015 Chrysler 200 with Driver One-Touch Power Windows built. Driver windows panel does not operate correctly and driver and passenger windows are inoperative due drivers front door wiring harness. The odometer also flashes while driving.

Friday, I was stuck in traffic when I noticed my temperature rising. I couldn’t pull to the side or turn my car off or do anything to get me safely out of the situation, my car then reached at what I last seen 275 degrees before shutting down. I had to leave my car setting as it was smoking and undrivable at this point. Later that night I got my car back home and upon further inspection my fan has abruptly stopped working, it is still getting voltage (bought a new fan) and that one also will not work either. When we checked the voltage it is backwards despite it never being worked on before. There’s electrical problems with these cars and they need addressed. I was left in 98 degree heat for almost 2 hours because of these issues. Next time it could be a woman and her children. Please fix this.

I’m writing to report a recurring issue with the catalytic converter on my vehicle. The electrical system has been having issues since I bought the car in 2015. The dash display behind the steering wheel flashes, the radio system restarts itself multiple times throughout a 15-minute trip between stops. At one point, the antenna wasn't even picking up a signal and the radio system only gave out static audio. Whatever has been the issue has caused me to have to change my alternator and multiple batteries since purchasing it. I would've reached out sooner, had I known this was an option..

My airbag light always is on and my cruise control revs my car and I have to break

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? • the parking brake randomly turns on mid driving especially on the highway. My car will randomly stop driving but the the radio and everything else is on but the car isn’t on if that make sense. Emergency break on an off working parking pawl becomes dislodged and transmission to where it is shifting into neutral unexpectedly or shifting into park, which could be a potential rollaway which it has. My car is stuck in drive but won't let me turn my shifter to park. It will not start and I have to undo the battery to get it to shut off . But it won't cranck. It sometimes will slow down for no reason and speed up without me even pressing the gas. My shock absorbers look like they are almost off the coil over spring. My lights in my car. sometimes work and sometimes don't. My headlights won't turn on sometimes. I have to kill the car and rest the system on my radio . My radio just started working last week for the first time since I got it and I have had it since October 2024. Bunch more problems . My service brake light and service airbags lights never go off. . My engine lights never goes off. My tires sensors never pick up. 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles related to the Power Distribution Center (PDC) connector. I’m having issues with the heat and radio controls and my care doesn’t seem to have the recall I bought the car 2023 but this just started end of last year. My car has stalled and died then runs really bad when started back up then my militate blinks and my head and radio controls does not work I’m not sure when my car was built but if it was still for 2015 Chryslers it shouldn’t matter the date it was built because some of us are still having issues
