2015 Chrysler 200

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

Risk. If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Note: Owners are advised to stop using cruise control until the software update has been performed. In the event that cruise control cannot be disengaged while driving, owners should firmly and steadily apply the brakes and shift the transmission to neutral, placing the vehicle in park once it has stopped.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Jeep Cherokee and 2015 Chrysler 200, Jeep Renegade, RAM ProMaster, and 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles equipped with 9-speed automatic transmissions. The transmission sensor clusters may have insufficient crimps in the transmission wire harness, and as a result, the transmission may unexpectedly shift to neutral. On August 29, 2016 Chrysler added the 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles to this recall.

Risk. If the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to neutral, there is an increased risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, dealers will reprogram the Powertrain Control Module and the Transmission Control Module and if necessary replace the transaxle range sensor wire harness, free of charge. The recall began on November 7, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S55.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured April 7, 2014, to August 3, 2015. During service work, the affected vehicles may have had either the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) or the Seat Cushion Foam (SCF) of the front passenger seat replaced instead of the both pieces together, which make up a complete calibrated set.

Risk. If both pieces were not replaced together, the occupant detection and classification system may not be properly calibrated and the passenger air bag may improperly deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install a new OCM-SCF seat service kit, free of charge. The recall began on May 27, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S09.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured January 7, 2014, to September 23, 2014. The affected vehicles may have a Power Distribution Center (PDC) electrical connector that may cause intermittent power failures to certain electrical components.

Risk. An intermittent loss of power to electrical components could cause a vehicle to stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the C4 connector using a 12 wire split kit for 3.6L engines, or replace the transmission wiring harness for 2.4L engines, free of charge. The recall began on October 21, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R24.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500, 2015 Chrysler 200, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger, 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, and Dodge Durango, and 2013-2015 Dodge Viper vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with radios that have software vulnerabilities that can allow third-party access to certain networked vehicle control systems.

Risk. Exploitation of the software vulnerability may result in unauthorized remote modification and control of certain vehicle systems, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify and mail affected owners a USB drive that includes a software update that eliminates the vulnerability, free of charge. Optionally, owners may download the update to their own USB drive from http://www.driveuconnect.com/software-update/ or take their vehicle to a Chrysler dealer for immediate installation. In an effort to mitigate the effects of this security vulnerability, Chrysler has had the wireless service provider close the open cellular connection to the vehicle that provided unauthorized access to the vehicle network. This measure may not have been implemented on all vehicles and does not address access by other means that will be remedied by the software update. The recall began on August 25, 2015. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured March 9, 2014, to December 15, 2014, and equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission parking pawl may become contaminated or the park rod may become dislodged or broken. This may prevent the transmission from shifting into the Park position.

Risk. If the shift indicator displays "Park" but the park lock does not engage, the vehicle may roll away increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers inspect the transmission. Any transmission found with contamination or a park rod will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began April 9, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R08.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured May 19, 2014, to June 21, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been built with a driver side door wiring harness of an insufficient wire gauge, resulting in excessive heat which may melt the wiring insulation.

Risk. Excessive heat and melting wiring insulation may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the door wiring harness, free of charge. The recall began on October 3, 2014. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P43.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 Jeep Cherokee and Ram 1500 and 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles. Due to an insufficient weld, the rear shocks may detach from the vehicle at one end and possibly damage other chassis components, the tire or result in reduced braking.

Risk. Damage to the tire or reduced braking increases the risk of a vehicle crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear shocks and replace any affected ones, free of charge. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P37.

Electricity light came on as well as overheating light and engine light all at once also stalling

Vehicle does shift to p then desired gear. It stalls at traffic stop lights. Very dangerous. I do not know what the issue is.i got home to test the issue while in drive with brake pushed down as if I were in idle, at a stop light, and it did the same thing in the video.

My vehicle lost power while driving had my new born baby in the car with me I was told that it may be issue an electrical connection from 2 different repair shops Tuscaloosa Chrysler tried to service the car for 2 weeks and stated that it was issue with the PMC but they were unable to locate the issue why the vehicle couldn’t get power and said that they no longer make that model vehicle anymore and they weren’t able to get parts and referred me to Henry Automotive in Tuscaloosa that worked on the vehicle for almost 6 months and weren’t able to locate the problem as to why the car was unable to receive power after both repair shops although after checking past recalls for electrical issues I see that some electrical issues were resolved in the past on the vehicle however I have concerned that the issues may not have been resolved completely

The vehicle has suffered a total failure of the passenger seat jumper wiring harness, which has completely deactivated the entire Supplemental Restraint System (SRS / Airbag system) and triggered the airbag warning light. This is a known manufacturing defect covered under an active Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). ​A certified Chrysler dealership previously performed a paid repair for this exact TSB defect, meaning the replacement safety component has failed prematurely. The vehicle is currently an active safety hazard on the road, as no airbags will deploy in an accident. Chrysler Corporate has refused to remedy this failed safety system, leaving the vehicle completely unprotected.

While driving my 2015 Chrysler 200, the vehicle randomly shifts into neutral without the driver initiating any gear change. Prior to this occurring, all dashboard warning lights illuminate simultaneously and the odometer display starts blinking so many lights — these appear to be warning signs of an electrical failure that then causes the transmission to shift into neutral while driving and sometimes even not able to shift gears. This has occurred multiple times at normal road speeds and causes sudden loss of power and vehicle control, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop who confirmed it was an electrical issue beyond their capability. It was then taken to a Chrysler dealership who charged $250 per hour for diagnostics, kept the vehicle for a full day, and was unable to identify the cause. Their only suggestion was an aftermarket radio installed by a prior owner — however an aftermarket radio would not cause all dashboard lights to activate and the transmission to shift into neutral while driving. I contacted Chrysler corporate (Case #97099954) who confirmed no open recalls exist and refused to cover the repair stating the warranty has expired. However this is not a wear and tear issue — this is a safety defect. The sequence of all warning lights activating followed by the transmission shifting to neutral points to a failure in the vehicle electrical control system, possibly the TIPM or Transmission Control Module — both known

I was on

I took my vehicle in for service because cylinder 6 had a misfire and the dealership told me that the Catalytic Converter failed internally and stated it can happen at anytime and it sends metal into the engine causing damage.

My airbag light on the driver side is on. Isn't this a recall part

Airbags deployed 15+ seconds after impact. Passenger airbag deployed from the top of the dash and hit the windshield causing the windshield to shatter.

I honestly believe this has to do with me being discriminated by people even emergency dispatch and police from the city of Inglewood , this is not the first time my car gets tampered with, but to start I already had felt something was off with the vehicle because I was parked and it accelerated all of a sudden last night of 03/24/26 then today on 03/25/26 i was on the freeway on my way to work then I felt something wasnt how the last time I drove it then it accelerated all of sudden and some setting on my car where changed so I returned home I didn’t want to risk my life or anybody else’s so i took pictures of the miles 114199 and how the cars is in case someone tries to take it and cause and incident & tries to cause and organized crime so I can get into trouble

It shuts down the engine or. Does not go in park it has something going on with electrical I can not afford it help please

The driver’s side headlight was replaced; however, several days later, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger’s side headlight failed to function as intended. On a separate occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission failed to shift as needed. While the shift button was moved to reverse(R), the reverse(R) light failed to illuminate, and an abnormal dinging sound was coming from the vehicle. The message "Transmission Issues" was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle failed to move while in reverse. The contact stated that the failure was predominant during cold weather. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the transmission sensor clusters had failed. The dealer reprogrammed the Powertrain Control Module and the Transmission Control Module. However, the failure persisted. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

I’m not sure but it will randomly die and have to be restarted there are times it does it more than others but every time is extremely dangerous because you essentially lose control of the car until it is restarted and it shift extremely hard sometimes like it feels like the transmission is going to fall out it jerks the entire car violently and there are numerous low voltage codes as well

Airbag light is on , 2nd time my lower control arms are broken and I go through a battery every 2 years average

The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the battery cable and harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

You have a recall for chryslr 200 2015 for intermittent starting and stalling caused by faulty PDC connector. NHTSA. My car is doing exactly that but its not under the recall why not? It had done this gor the last 4 months

The transmission is stuck in 3rd gear and sometimes don't move at all. It has jumped in neutral a couple of times while driving or automatically goes to paddle shifting without touching the gear control. It is basically undrivable with only 95000, or so miles.
