When going a certain speed car will jerk and shift roughly into next gear, Faulty air bag system shown on dashboard. Car had been struggling to start lately went to Autozone with the check engine light now showing. Diagnostic machine advised Power Train System issues / Antilock brake system issues. Codes: P1634, U0420-00, C2101-17, & C1246-1C Mileage: 111250 upon doing my research these are common issues with this vehicle but yet no recall could be found for my specific vehicles using Vin #
1) I believe there is a problem with my transmission shifting gears. I am willing to have it inspected. 2) There is a sudden and violent shift that happens when shifting between 3rd - 5th gear I believe but it's random, only a couple of times a month. I have had people with me and they thought I hit a deep pothole or hit something with my car like a small animal. 3)The issue has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealership. 4) My car has not been inspected by any of the above except a dealership years ago when I mentioned it but nothing was found. My car model and year have a few recalls and transmission is one but no recalls have been issued for my specific car yet. I check yearly. 5) I do not get any warning lights, messages, or symptoms, my car just violently shifts from time to time when shifting into 3rd - 5th gear. My car does sometimes get an AWD service light that comes and goes and never lasts more than a couple of days. The research I did online said that's normal for the 200 and not to worry if it doesn't stay lit. I am not sure if this is a related issue, another issue, or just a thing the 200 does as mentioned online. The car had this problem since I purchased it in 2017 but the dealership I purchased it from was in a different state so taking it back wasn't an option. I had mentioned the issue to a Chrysler dealership years ago while getting an oil change but no issue was found. 6) How fast were you going? I think it's between 3rd and 5th gear so like 25-45

My vehicle has 3 recalls on it that are essential to the safety of the driver and those in the vehicle with the driver and they are refusing to cover this because I am not the original owner. I feel like this is not right considering that this is a Chrysler issue and they should be responsible for it. The car cuts off without warning due to the recall issue I could be on the highway, in a parking lot or just cruising in my neighborhood and it cuts off,
Put a full tank of gas in car and when I got home I noticed that there was a fuel leak on the tank
I was driving down the road and my car stalled and completely shut off power steering went out as well come to find out it had a recall for the issue but cannot seem to see if it was ever fixed and can not see that it fixed or not or if it would be covered under the recall as it was recalled in 2015

Any time I am coming to a stop from 40/45 mph the car would accelerate although I am breaking! This is not safe. It happens randomly while driving I could be in traffic and it will accelerate soon as I put my foot on the break.
I was barely coming off of the freeway during traffic hour when my dashboard randomly indicated to shift into parking gear, which I did, and then the car turned off on me right before at the top of a downhill. I couldn't shift into neutral and couldn't get the car to turn back on. There I was in the hot weather with a car in the middle of the road right off of the freeway exit without a clue as to what happened. I had to get towed and the vehicle is now at the dealer; they won't be able to take a look at it until 5 days after the occurrence.
After reversing and car is put into drive it shuts off or jerks forward and accelerates. If car tank is filled car will shut off after attempting to drive it. Will shut off during driving.
Son was driving car and pulled out of gas station and heard a loud "bang" from under the hood and the car immediately died and he had to coast into a safe spot off of the street. Check Engine light came on and message "Service Transmission". Will not move forward now and whirring noise when placed into Drive. Towed to transmission shop that said there were several Transmission codes (TCM Monitor Processing and TCM Failure Undetected). The car has 59000 miles on it and the transmission needs replacing. Similar to other complaints seen on here for the 2015 Chrysler 200.
On 5/8 a conversation took place with a Chrysler Customer Service representative which was recorded. The representative acknowledged that the TCM going out is common due to the Transaxle Control Harness recall. The representative acknowledged this has not become a recall yet but this is a known problem and issue with the vehicles.
Ever since I first got the car, the moment I drove off the lot, the air bag system message popped up. I would take it back to the dealer, they would wiggle a few things around, I'd get it back, and the safety bag light STILL came on. I took it in about 5-6 times and still no fix. It was until my insurance expired that they said they could replace the whole thing for thousands of dollars. I still get the message on the car. If I crash, they bags will not go off, and the car company does not care. This happened with a family member of mine with the same car.

After disengaging the battery and waiting about an hour, then reengaging battery, all power comes back on. My car cut off right as I was stopping at a stop sign. It wouldn't even let me turn off the car to try and restart. I couldn't steer the car either. It took a minute and then I was able to turn it off and then restart it. By the time I got to the third stop sign it cutoff again. The second time around it read to shift to park before restarting. Thank God I was in my subdivision! There was no warning or check e gone light on either. Please help! More importantly my airbag light is on again. I've even had my airbag replaced by Chrysler last year. This had been a recurring problem since I bought the car. I reported it back in 2016 as well. My car is a 2015 and should never have had the airbag problem. Please help! I hope and pray this get to someone that takes safety seriously! This is my only car and I transport my children in it.

While driving the car on the highway it completely shut off and would not start. My dashboard is black and flashes. This could have been worse and put our life at risk. I have had so many issues on this car ever since I purchased it. I have taken it to a shop before and this will be my third time.
The car gives an error message of "engine warming wait to start" It will not crank. I've spent money for a new battery and a starter and it wasn't the fix. Hundreds of other consumers have reported this issue in online forums and to the maker and still no resolve. They stopped production of the car for this reason. Something has to be done.

The seals on the bottom of the oil filter adapter housing failed, causing oil and coolant to leak out of the engine. The safety of myself and others is put at risk because if enough oil or coolant leaks out, engine overheating or failure will occur, possibly while the vehicle is in motion. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. It is a widely known issue with the 3.6L Pentastar engine and is well documented in 100s of videos on youtube by third party mechanics, dealer mechanics, and DIYers. My vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, as it is out of the warranty period. Warnings include low coolant and low engine oil. The skid plate under the front of the car was also soaked, causing puddles of oil and coolant to form underneath the car onto the ground.
Vehicle leaking oil badly and continuously overheating. Vehicle shut off on me in traffic with my child in car. Oil in coolant reservoir. Mechanic could not figure out where oil was coming from, nor why it was in my reservoir. While checking vehicle it started overheating badly and mechanic severely burned (injury)! Find that it is the oil filter housing/oil cooler. This is a serious hazard. It’s bad enough the vehicle continues to stall out and has even stall out while on the highway. Vehicle still in shop. Will not be buying another Chrysler ever.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while accelerating, the vehicle downshifted and failed to move; then lunged forward and accelerated independently. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.
Chrysler/fiat has issued a TSB recommending the wiring harness inside seat to be replaced. This should be a safety recall not a TSB since it has to do with airbags. It's a safety hazard. This needs to be done before someone is seriously injured or dies.
This car is totally unsafe and is going to cause serious injury. When initially trying to accelerate this car jerks uncontrollably and doesn’t go. It stalls something serious then all of a sudden propels itself forward into traffic!!! Making other ppl swerve around me frantically. I can’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign then go when it’s my turn without the car talking a big stalling leap of death. Not to mention when coming to a stop it often cuts off due to something being wrong with the oil system causing it to burn too much oil. I’ve never had a car that I had to put oil in continuously even though my oil changes (via Chrysler) are on time. Horrible thing is Chrysler says they know the car does this but won’t FIX IT!!! This lemon is going to take me out.
My car stalls while driving go into limpo
With cruise control on going down hill the cruise control will cause the RPM's to race and my 16 year old has the push hard on his brakes to get it to release. This could end up causing him to crash. Apparently it is an ongoing issue with this make and model. Please help. Thank you.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
