Defect. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019-2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires sold to the aftermarket for various model year 2018-2021 vehicles. The affected tires were cured for too long during production.

Risk. Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tires, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 22, 2021. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Buick customer service at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is N212329050.

The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing bolts.

Risk. Missing bolts on the start-stop accumulator endcap could result in a transmission oil leak and may progress to a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. A transmission fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

Remedy. GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. Shift to park displays on dash when put in park after I turn the car off. Have to turn the car back on shift from park to drive several times before it finally goes off. Something going on with backup camera when backing up it not always comes up on interior display monitor. The outlet in the console dc outlet not working had it looked at several times the mechanics can't figure out what the issue is all fuses are good And a few times couldn't stat the car after shift to park display pops up had to try several times before it started. Can't understand why GM hasn't ordered recalls on these matters and I'm sure I'm not the only one dealing with these issues. It's a same that in 2026 dealing with issues that I have to pay out of pocket to try to find out what is the problem is.When GM knows these issues are the with the 2019 Chevy Blazer. GM needs to start addressing the issues my car wasn't a cheap car I pay a high price to have the issues that I have .

Electronically controlled thermostat and sensor fail or get stuck at a much lower coolant temperature causing the dash to display the “steering assist is reduced drive with care.” It isn’t just a message, the steering is much harder to use potentially causing an accident. The ac completely doesn’t work causing potential for sensitive, elderly, or young children and pets to overheat inside, it’s significant risk of injury or death from the hot summer temperatures. The engine coolant temperature gauge is all the way down on C position which isn’t registering how hot/cold the engine gets potentially causing damage to the vehicle and a total loss of the vehicle entirely due to damage from the engine overheating. After doing research online, this problem is affecting all years of the 2019+ blazers with the 3.6L V6 engine AND other known problems with other models and years of their other lineup of cars, it’s very widespread across their platforms. So what are people supposed to do when it isn’t? Pay an $3800+ repair bill to GM when they KNOW it’s more widespread than just this year/make? This is a scam. I’m reporting this complaint to raise awareness and hopefully GM will do the right thing.

Driver's side floorboard floods during rain, dripping water under the dashboard directly onto the accelerator and brake pedal. Trapping water and trapped moisture has caused severe mold buildup throughout the interior, creating respiratory hazards and window fogging. This matches GM Technical Service Bulletin 23-NA-087.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was a strong odor coming from the vehicle, and no warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated that a "Shift to Park" warning message displayed while the vehicle was already in Park, requiring multiple shifting attempts to clear the message. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the radiator had failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that the radiator issue was a known failure that could recur. Additionally, an inspection revealed that the rear tow hook had failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. Regarding the shifter failure, the contact was informed that the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

Just had to replace a radiator that was leaking all across the top. Also have gotten the steering assist warning for thermostat and temperature sensor. Seems to be cery common problems rhat gm ahould fix

Thermostat went bad at 47,500 miles. Temp gauge stopped working, Engine light came on and alert stating steering assist is reduced

I was driving into a parking lot when my back passenger side window imploded like a rock was thrown at it, but no rock and nobody in sight. I looked all around for a cause but believe it somehow spontaneous shattered. Thankfully 3 minutes prior I had dropped my kids at school otherwise there would have been injury I am sure.

Power steering goes out intermittently while driving.

The transmission or torque converter has slippage and shuddering that has caused one or both to go bad. My safety was at risk due to this item beginning to fail to cause the inability to accelerate to maintain my position in traffic. The problem was recreated for the service technician. There was no warning or indication before this became an issue.

My vehicle is breaking on its own. There are other vehicles riding behind me and it just stops out of nowhere. I think that's dangerous. I can be driving and I'm thinking I'm OK driving in a vehicle. Just just hit on break. I don't know where I just stops and while I'm driving and I think that's very dangerous

The vehicle will not shut off when you shift to park. You are forced to sit in the vehicle for extended periods of time attempting to get the vehicle turned off. Apparently Chevy is familiar with eat problem and there are pending class action law suits in Ohio. According to the dealership Chevy has acknowledged there is a defect but no recall has been issued. We have had this issue for about two months and it is getting worse.

Shift to Park issue: Known issue where the car fails to recognize it is in Park, preventing it from shutting off. Electronics: Potential blanked-out display screens, USB port issues, and malfunctioning cameras. Steering Assist: Restricted, temperature gauge goes to cold and radiator fan blows hard. I have to unplug negative cable to battery and reconnect and everything goes back to normal.

2019 Chevy Blazer. Car would not turn off the electrical components when parked. Put car in park and walked away and there is a warning note that says, "Shift to Park." But the car was in park. Called Chevy and they know about the issue on the 2019-2023 vehicles. They sent me the Technical Service Bulletin. Back in 2020, the car had the shifting harness and button replaced and we just had to have it replaced again because it is a consistent issue with the vehicle. Except this time, the dealer charged us $668.40 to fix it! It is a known issue by the company and THEY sent me the service bulletin to get it fixed. It should have been covered by Chevy, or, at least a recall should be instituted. The power to the car wouldn't shut off. We were able to jump the car to get it started again.

I believe my thermostat is a problem. I keep getting "P012B" "coolant under operating temperature" codes on my obd2 meter. This seems to coincide with "driver assist reduced" on my instrument cluster on my dash board. I researched it and on a forum it sounds to be a very common problem. Someone said to report it on here. I can clear the "p012b" error code with my obd2 and my thermostat instantly becomes responsive however it comes back within 2 days or so.

Faulty thermostat. Check engine light comes on due to thermostat getting stuck open and needing to be replaced. This is terrible for the engine and the environment.

The shift-to-park sensor in my 2019 Chevy Blazer RS is malfunctioning. After shifting into park, the vehicle does not detect that it is in park and displays a “Shift to Park” message. The issue is/has been ongoing and now it is almost impossible to bypass with wiggling the shifter. Safety Risk: The vehicle cannot be fully shut off or locked, increasing the risk of battery drain or unintended movement. This poses a safety risk if the vehicle is left in public or on an incline. Inspection History: The vehicle was taken in to the dealership in November/December 2025 due to MULTIPLE Warning Lights: “Shift to Park”, "Steering Assist", "Stabilink" and the usb-C charging port under the radio screen will stop working all together when this happens as well. This started around September 2025 and has occurred regularly since.

The thermostat has been sticking, and needs to be replaced after only 30,000 miles.

Was getting a steering assist reduced error code. Auto stop quit functioning and air conditioning stopped cooling. Engine sounded like a jet. P 0128 thermostat error code came up and had to be replaced. I see lots of similar complaints. Cost me $700.

My car lost power twice in the middle of heavy traffic we could have gotten killed .i was told it was a battery I bought a battery it happened again .The car goes totally black and it locks you in the vehicle you can’t get out I had to call for help scared to death

Shift lever to Park Alert on dashboard. Paid to have shift lever replaced on Blazer. Also had same problem on 2018 Malibu..paid myself to have shift lever replaced! I was NEVER NOTIFIED about a Class Action suit. I believe this is a MAJOR PROBLEM on GM vehicle. NEED GM TO HAVE A RECALL!

Steering assist reduced message, then no AC, temp gauge stuck at Cold, P0128 error Code.

We are noticing the coolant meter seems to be stuck on C, the AC is not blowing cold and we are getting a message that ACTION REQUIRED steering assist is reduced, drive with CAUTION. Today the brakes slammed on by themselves and almost sent my wife thru the windshield. Luckily she was in a clear area with no other cars around.

The thermostat is stuck open and needs replaced. If left as it is, could create overheating issues for the engine and even more damage. A service engine light was illuminated prior to finding the issue. The light was accompanied by a warning about assisted steering. Two days after the light first came on, a Chevrolet service department diagnosed the problem and is repairing it. An invoice can be provided at a later date once repairs are completed.

Engine temperature gauge is not working. Dash is displaying driver assist issue and steering intermittently locks up while moving. Air conditioning does not work and cooling fan is running at high speed. Thermostat and coolant temperature sensor need to be replaced. Such a high number of these vehicles are failing that i can’t even get factory parts

Nothing necessarily happened, but I've been getting the "steering assist reduced, drive with care" pop up, which assist I've been reading might mean a faulty thermostat. Sounds like a common issue and may e time for a recall? Only 60k miles on my blazer.

I was in a severe accident on 10/6/2025 with a vehicle traveling at approximately 50+mph. My front quarter panel was struck crossing an intersection when a vehicle ran a red light. My vehicle sustained a lot of damage with my head striking the drivers side window --- with no air bags deploying

Dashboard goes on like a Christmas tree (almost all lights turn on ABS GAS LIGHT TRACTION CONTROL PARKING SERVICE LIGHT) check engine stays on then disappears after a few days. Transmission won’t gear into shifts only stays in one shift.

My transmission is leaking fluid and has trouble going in reverse. This model Has had two recalls in 2020 and 2021 with the one from 2020 Was specifically for missing parts on the transmission causing leaks. My car is under the mileage for the transmission to even be a problem as stated by multiple mechanics. If there was a recall why wasn’t I informed before the transmission began to leak. The is serviced regularly by dealership where car was purchased. My safety is important to me but I guess not to CHEVROLET BECAUSE I MEVER WAS TOLD ABOUT A POSSIBLE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. SO I HOPE YALL TAKE NOTICE AND DO THE RIGHT THING

Thermostat has gone bad. Talked to Chevy and they said it is a known issue.

Warning message flashes "put car in park" after putting it in park and pushing the stop button. It flashes for a few minutes, beeps the horn alert, and you can't lock it . It was diagnosed at a Chevy dealership as needing new switch and jumper harness at almost $800.

The well known Shift to Park issue where the park sensor is off and my vehicle won’t shut off without being able to register it’s in park. Auto garage quoted $600+ to replace the entire shift assembly. There’s a service bulletin out for this issue and the specific 2019 blazer but no recall

I keep getting this message that pops up, "Steering Assist reduced Drive with Care". At the same time this happens the temp gauge stays on cold, the ac quits working, the engine fan is on high, and most of the time I get code PO128. We have had it in to the dealer and they said the its the thermostat or the temp sensor. From what I am reading it could be a factory issue with the EMI issue from sensitive ECT circuitry. This has been an ongoing issue for us for over a year.

I am currently receiving a shift to park message displayed while my vehicle has been put in park and after I turn the vehicle off. While the message is displayed, the doors will not lock and a bell will not stop dinging, notifying me of the error. I have to start the vehicle, shift into gear, shift into park, and turn off several times before the error disappears. I have an appointment to have the dealer look at it this week.

SHIFT TO PARK ERROR IN 2019 CHEVROLET BLAZER. This has affected NUMEROUS vehicles that should be issued a recall and not have to pay over $2500.00 to fix!!

The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the shift controller sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred within two months. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the shift control sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

The car does not sense when it is put into park. The alarm continues to ding and the car will not turn off . It displays a message stating shift to park.

Diagnosed as a bad thermostat. AC not working. Steering assist issue. Temp gage not working. Car is out of warranty.

When you try to turn the vehicle off, there is a “Shift to Park” warning with the vehicle already in Park. The vehicle has only 19,000 miles

At startup, I would receive a message that said, steering assist reduced. There were no check engine lights or warning lights. My air conditioning stopped working, and my temperature gauge on the dash remained at cold. I also noticed the radiator fans were on full blast, continuously. I called the dealer, and they weren't sure what was causing that. I told them I was getting codes #U0401 & P0128. They asked me to clear the codes to see if they returned. I cleared the codes, but they returned immediately on restart of the engine. I'm going to replace the thermostat but i didn't understand the #U0401 code, so did further research. I found 2017 Bulletin #17-NA-158 which seamed relevent to my issues, and Vehicle Fitment that confirmed my 2019 Chevy Blazer is included. I then came to find that the un-shielded low voltage wires for the coolant temperature sensor are routed through the same harness as high voltage coil wiring. Some of us know that EMI will affect low voltage signals. As an HVAC system designer, I know that un-shielded low voltage communication wiring cannot run parallel two line voltage power wiring. The effects are not continuous, but definitely reoccurring. I also understand there has not been a recall for this issue which surprises me. I can replace the thermostat even in its difficult position, but I don't feel comfortable in separating the low voltage wiring from the harness. I understand that dealers who are aware of this issue, charge a hefty fee to do so. It

Coolant temp gauge stuck on cold, AC quits blowing cold air, reads the thermostat code when check engine light comes on. Was told my car needs a new thermostat and a coolant temp sensor. This has proven to be a common issue among Blazers. there is no rhyme or reason when this happens and will fix itself after a while, but then happens again.

Temp gauge intermittently reads cold, no ac and engine cooling fan constantly blowing, dash warning re power steering, 40,000 miles, code po128, review of google indicates this is a common problem and likely needs a new thermostat and ect
