Defect. Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain Prevost buses. Please see the above list of models. The entrance door is missing the emergency exit operating instruction label. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
Risk. Missing instructions may prevent or delay passengers from evacuating the bus during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy. Prevost will replace the emergency exit label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. Owners may contact Prevost's customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR26-19.

Defect. ON CERTAIN MOTOR COACHES AND MOTOR HOMES, THE STEERING COLUMNS MAY BE MISSING THE LOWER BOLT AND NUT. A REPLACEMENT BOLT AND NUT WAS INSTALLED TO CORRECT THIS SITUATION ON THE PRODUCTION LINE. IF A REPLACEMENT BOLT HAS BEEN USED AND NOT TIGHTENED PROPERLY, THE COLUMN MAY COME OUT OF THE INPUT SHAFT WHEN THE STEERING COLUMN ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM IS USED.
Risk. IN SUCH A CASE, A LOSS OF STEERING WOULD OCCUR.
Remedy. DEALERS WILL VERIFY THE SIZE OF THE BOLT AND NUT AND REPLACE THEM IF NEEDED. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 4, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT PREVOST AT 1-418-831-5432.

No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Recall repairs are free for as long as the recall stands. Check whether a specific car still has open work at NHTSA's VIN lookup.
