Defect. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CLASS A MOTOR HOMES. THE TWO FRONT FRAME TOWERS USED TO MOUNT THE FRONT AXLE CONTROL ARMS TO THE VEHICLE CAN DEVELOP FATIGUE CRACKS OR FRACTURES.

Risk. A COMPLETE FRACTURE OF A FRAME TOWER CAN CAUSE A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND POTENTIALLY RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE WELDS ON BOTH FRAME TOWERS AND REPAIR IF NECESSARY. A GUSSET REINFORCEMENT WILL BE ADDED TO STRENGTHEN THE MAXIMUM STRESS POINT OF EACH FRAME TOWER.
