Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

Risk. Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Accord and HR-V vehicles. The front seat belt pretensioners may be missing the rivet that secures the quick connector and wire plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," 209, "Seat Belt Assembles," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Risk. A seat belt pretensioner missing a rivet will not properly restrain the occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt pretensioner assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are MG7 and NG5.

I was driving down the road. The back window busted for no reason. I called honda and other places. They said the window had already been replaced under the recall... I believe. So it is up to me to pay.

The contact owns a 2023 Honda HR-V equipped with Firestone Tires, Tire Line: Destination LE3, Tire Size: 225/55/R18, DOT Number: 17X5LDLE3. The contact stated that all four tires were inflated for several days before the rear passenger’s side tire had a blowout. While driving 70 MPH, the TPMS warning light illuminated. The rear passenger’s side tire subsequently experienced a blowout. The contact replaced the tire with a spare tire and took the vehicle to a tire retailer, where a new rear passenger’s side tire was installed. The tire retailer informed the contact that the TPMS warning light was due to the temperature. However, the TPMS warning light remained illuminated, and all four tires required to be inflated every 2–3 weeks. An independent mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The tires were the original equipment. The failure mileage was 37,000.

The steering started sticking on sept. 1st. I was driving on croatan highway in obx nc I was surprised because it never did that before. My son in law is. Honda certified mechanic. He said it was sticking. But he could not fix it because Honda needed to fix it. I took it to Honda in va. For my oil and filter change and to check steering. The mechanic said it was sticking. In April, I returned to my vehicle in my employer’s parking lot in Cranberry Township, PA and found the rear window completely shattered, with glass both inside and outside the vehicle. I immediately contacted my Honda service center and was told there were no reported issues or recalls. Because the vehicle was unsafe to drive, I contacted my insurance company to arrange the repair. My employer reviewed the security footage and confirmed that no one approached the vehicle between the time I arrived and the damage was discovered. Once it was determined that there was no vandalism, accident, or outside cause, I contacted Honda Customer Service. I was then told that Honda was aware of a safety issue involving the rear window, that Honda would cover the replacement cost, and that I should submit a reimbursement claim. I submitted the AutoGlass Now receipt for $441.76 and my credit card statement. I paid a $100 deductible, and State Farm paid the remaining balance. Neither State Farm nor I should bear costs resulting from Honda’s acknowledged rear window issue. I requested that Honda promptly reimburse my $100 deductible and reimburse State Farm. It is a battle. The incident created a major safety concern. I am grateful it occurred while the vehicle was parked rather than on a major highway with family members inside, where sudden rear window failure could have posed a serious hazard. Rear windshield exploded

I got a "supplemental restraint problem. See your dealer." message on my car's dashboard. My car is available for inspection upon request. The air bags may not deploy in a crash, and this poses a critical safety problem. I haven't taken it to a dealer or independent center yet. It hasn't been inspected by anyone yet. There weren't any lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear.

I purchased a brand new 2023 Honda HR-V. Recently, the passenger-side LED headlight assembly suddenly stopped working, and I had to pay $1,500 out of pocket to replace it at a Honda dealer. Shockingly, just one month later, the driver-side LED headlight also completely failed. Having both major LED headlights fail within a single month on a vehicle less than 3 years old indicates a severe factory defect, likely caused by a faulty Body Control Module (BCM) or a voltage spike in the electrical system. This poses a critical safety hazard for nighttime driving. Honda refused to cover it under warranty due to high mileage, but this is clearly not normal wear and tear.

On 5/232026 .. there was a severe thunderstorm . No hail . No signs of cracked window prior or as I approached my Honda 2023 HRV . I got in car and noticed windshield were foggy so I turned on both defroster. 10 mins later I heard a loud “boom “ in the back of my car.. I was starteled and immediately turned around and noticed the rear windshield was shattered and had a circular shaped broken glass hole. I never rolled anything on the street and no none was in sight .. I approached my home and parked the car and immediately checked the back to see if a rock or some sort was in the trunk however there was no evidence of that . Researching I notice many others have experienced this random spontaneous shatttering related to manufacturing error of window/defroster glue on defroster coiling . This was a huge danger for anyone in the back including myself the driver .. I’m very upset that Honda has not set a full recall on this other customers . I could have or another person sustained a serious injury. Rear Hatch glass has shattered while the vehicle is unoccupied two times now. Honda said it was inspected and was fine after the first rear glass was replaced and then the same thing happened again. Slowly pulling into head in parking in front of town homes and engine suddenly had sudden unintended acceleration . Car jumped curb, tried to brake but couldn't get car stopped and ran into end of group town home. Car is now in shop with about $8,000 to $9,000 dollars of damage. Had my car parked in my house garage. Drove out of garage to go to work. While waiting on garage to close, heard an explosion and realized my back windshield shattered. When I got out to inspect and take pictures, it shattered even more. Took to dealership. Waiting to hear back from Honda corporate. Tired of issues with this car.

I had just arrived home from a short 2 mile drive and was sitting in my car for a few minutes with the vehicle running when the rear glass suddenly shattered. Confused and startled, I got out of the car to inspect what happened and noticed the the entire glass was shattered and left and right edges broken more than the rest. While taking photos, the middle of the glass caved in. This is a known issue, and the manufacturer issued a recall regarding this. The rear windshield was replaced last December by the dealer.

Drove to work on Friday morning 12/12/25. Parked my car in my work parking lot. At 5pm when I returned to my car, when I entered my car and closed the door, I heard a shattering noise, I looked around and in my rearview mirror I saw a hole right through the middle of my rear window. I exited my car and when I closed the door, the rest of the window finished shattering and fell in. I found out there was a soft recall regarding the rear window and the adhesive used. I went to the Yonkers service center on 50 Yonkers Ave here in Westchester County on Saturday 12/13/25,spoke with a rep who was very courteous, explained the recall I found on-line regarding rear window recall and set up an appointment for that Monday 12/15/25. Dropped off car to service center, received a call the next day from the rep saying they cannot do anything about it because the Technician found nothing wrong. I explained it was a manufacturers defect and it should be covered. Then called the dealer and I explained the situation, called me back and gave me the same explanation. I then reached out to the corporate offices and they said I would have to pay out of pocket. I find this very unacceptable.

My Car Loosing Power The screen is black there is nothing showing on the dashboard this has been happening since August 2025 The SUV accelerate while I am driving or braking even when all of the lane changing and braking systems are turn off this happens often whenever I am driving the vehicle. While driving, the vehicle experienced a serious steering malfunction. The right front wheel does not respond properly to steering input, while the left wheel responds normally, resulting in uneven steering and loss of directional control. The issue occurred without warning and created an immediate safety risk, especially during turns and lane changes. The vehicle became difficult to control and unsafe to operate. The problem has occurred more than once and is not consistent with normal wear and tear for a vehicle of this age and mileage. A Honda dealership inspected the vehicle and recommended replacement of the complete steering rack, including inner tie rods, boots, and clamps. The dealership also recommended replacement of the right drive axle due to a damaged outer joint. No warning lights or dashboard messages appeared prior to the failure. The vehicle required inspection and repair due to the safety risk.

The rear window glass suddenly broke with a huge sound. The glass brokes to pieces completely. No warning light was activated. It happened 10 minutes ago. I haven't reported to my insurance or dealer. I used defrost function. Before this accident happened, I smelled a burning flavor a little. Also, the range dropped almost 10 miles over a 2 mile distance. I am not sure if those phenomena relate or not.

The back rearview windshield shattered. I got into my parked car in the morning, turned it on and heard a pop sound. I looked back and saw a hole in the windshield, the glass fell inside the truck in pieces. I looked around to see if something dropped to crack it, but there was nothing. The pieces of the windshield kept falling in the trunk and the hole got bigger as time went on.

The car is making a rotting sound when I start accelerating and it didn’t make that sound before. It feels like it is the catalytic converter. I bought this car brand new, so it is a bit annoying that I am having this issue with a new car that I been having it for less than 3 years

I am writing to report a serious tire failure incident involving a Hankook tire that came with my brand-new 2023 Honda HR-V. While driving recently — with approximately 16,500 miles on the vehicle — the rear tire suddenly blew out without any prior warning. Fortunately, I was able to maintain control and safely stop the vehicle without harm to myself or others. There were no signs or alerts from the vehicle’s tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) before or during the blowout. Strangely, the TPMS warning light only came on after I replaced the damaged tire with the spare, which raises concerns about the effectiveness or response delay of the TPMS. I would like to highlight: Tire size : 215/60R17 •The tire had no visible damage or issues before the blowout, and I follow routine servicing through my dealership. •As a result of the incident, the rear wheel drum has a very minor bend. •Unfortunately, the damaged tire is no longer in my possession ( I have changed it), but I do have clear photographs taken immediately after the incident, which I can share upon request. •The issue has not yet been evaluated by a dealer or third party, but I am open to doing so if needed. This unexpected failure poses a significant safety concern, and I believe it deserves further investigation to ensure no broader defect or issue exists.

In November 2022, before I even drove off the lot, when I noticed and asked about a rattling noise coming from the passenger-side front window, I was told it was normal because it’s a brand-new car. Within a few hundred miles, I began to experience issues with the car, felt the electrical problems and car felt shaky and unstable. As this continued, I’ve received a reminder from Honda about the three years of service and to schedule an appointment with a certified dealer. And I did, this is also when brought up the fact that I feel and experiences issues with the car, but it remained ignored. Fast-forward to Spring 2023, issues worsen, while driving with a minor in a rear-facing car seat, I heard a loud noise that sounded like gunfire. Severe windshield cracking (without a clear impact). I have had my windshield replaced 2x and it continues to crack. Glass seems to be thinner and cracks.

Driver seat is provided with a manual height adjustment using a lever. The issue is that, once adjusted the height, is not maintained and starts to "sink" until bottomed. With time and years, keeps to be getting worse. No remedy has been provided by the dealer, other than stating that is a "normal issue on Honda's with that manual height adjuster.

Rear glass exploding a second time after repair

I was driving my [XXX] son to daycare and my back window of the hatch shattered. I was completely shocked and had no idea what happened, so I googled to see if there have been issues with my specific car and found the following: "The rear windows of some 2023 Honda HR-Vs are shattering due to a manufacturing defect with the rear defroster. Honda is replacing the windows through a voluntary product update campaign, but has not issued a safety recall. Honda says the problem is due to a manufacturing defect that allows the sealer used to secure the rear glass on some HR-Vs to come in contact with the defroster’s heating elements. Over time, this weakens the glass as the defroster creates a “hot spot.” But the automaker advises owners to continue using the rear defroster as needed." This is a major issue to mine and my sons risk. My son was in his car seat facing the window as it shattered. There was glass everywhere. I called Honda at Honda Costa Mesa in Costa Mesa, CA and they said that my VIN does not have that recall and that I could come in "to receive a quote for the repair" and that it typically takes 2-3 weeks for the window to come in and they will not provide a rental car. They were extremely unhappy and not sympathetic to the situation. I called my insurance (Geico) and filed a claim for Safelite to make the repair. Emission Reduction reduction checks engine light on rear dent in the tire pressure sensor on

Me and my grandkids had a scary experience sitting in my 2023 Honda HRV in parking lot with the vehicle off. The back window exploded around the perimeter. The window started making a crackling sound then completely shattered. I have owned the vehicle for just about a year. I took the car to the dealership in regards to this issue and spoke with a manager who approved repairing the window and having an electrical inspection. He advised the window would be ordered and to check back in a few days for repair and inspection. When I reached back out to the dealership I was advised by a tech that the rear glass had NOT been ordered. The rear glass has now been ordered, however, now I'm being told that the glass is on backorder with 149 orders before me. When I asked tech how long it would take to get repaired he didn't have an answer and told me to check every week. In the mean time I asked if the inspection can be done; I'm still pending getting an appointment for the electrical inspection.

I have had a recall notice on my car for months I’ve taken my car in and they have yet to have the part to fix the recall on my car

It has been 6 times that we have needed to jump start the car. The time that i start it before it actually needs a jump you notice the screen and ac take a minute or two to turn on after you have already turned on the car. Today it started fine and the second time it needed a jump start. I contacted AAA the first time it happened, they checked the battery at the dealer and everything looked great on the dealers end. They mentioned to record any mishaps. My friend who has a 2023 Honda H-RV Sport has reported that she is experiencing similar problems where her car also needs a jump start. I now carry a portable jumper by how often this issue has been occurring.

Rear window glass shattered while I was driving to work Sunday 01/12/2025

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 - 55 MPH, there was resistance in the steering wheel intermittently. The contact stated that several safety systems were display as disabled for reasons such as dirt on the windshield; however, the failure had occurred after the vehicle was cleaned and there was no visible interference. The dealer was contacted to schedule an appointment in November 2024; however, the appointment was not scheduled. The contact owns a 2023 Honda HR-V. The contact stated while her husband was driving approximately 25 MPH downhill, the driver heard an explosive sound and noticed that the rear window had exploded. The contact stated that upon pulling to the side of the road, the driver noticed that a significant amount of shattered glass had fallen inside the vehicle. The driver drove to the residence. The vehicle was later taken to the dealer, where the rear window was being replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

The rear window of my Honda HRV exploded/shattered all on its own into a thousand small pieces of glass while the car was parked outside in cold weather while I was visiting my son.

In the morning of December 31, 2024, I got into my 2023 Honda HRV and as I turned on the ignition, I was shocked by the shattering sound of glass at the rear of the vehicle. To my horror, it was the rear windshield that had shattered to smithereens. I was terribly upset by this incident and while thinking of my next action, I learned through Google that it was due to a manufacturing defect with the 2023 Honda HRV model. Yet, I had not been notified by the Honda of any recall in regard to this defect. I took the car to the nearest Honda dealership where they plastered the rear of my car with a thin plastic and promised to call me as soon as they got the necessary parts. The incident could have caused serious physical and emotional injuries if I had passengers in the rear seats of the car. Even, all alone, I was emotionally traumatized by the incident.
