2015 Honda Fit

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Fit LX-trim vehicles manufactured April 11, 2014, to July 02, 2015 and not equipped with a sunroof. In the affected vehicles, the rear grab handle brackets were not manufactured properly, and as a result, the brackets may puncture the side curtain air bags upon their deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection" and number 226, "Ejection Mitigation".

Risk. If the side curtain air bags are punctured upon deployment, the outboard seat occupants may be at a higher risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear grab handle bracket, free of charge. The recall began on December 18, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is JV8.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Civic vehicles manufactured January 16, 2014, to November 6, 2014 and 2015 Fit vehicles manufactured March 12, 2014, to May 12, 2015. The software settings that control the transmission operation may result in damage to the transmission drive pulley shaft.

Risk. If the transmission drive pulley shaft is damaged, it may break, and the vehicle may lose acceleration or the front wheels may lock up while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the software for the transmission, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin October 30, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are JU2 (Civic) and JU3(Fit).

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2015 Fit vehicles manufactured December 6, 2013, to August 28, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience damage to the wires inside the Plug Top Ignition Coils (PTC) due to improper protection against electrical noise.

Risk. If the wires become damaged, the coil may overheat and cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Plug Top Ignition Coils with new design, free of charge. The recall began on October 9, 2015. Owners may contact Honda Automobile Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is JT9.

Defect. American Honda Motor Co. (Honda) is recalling certain model year 2015 Honda Fit vehicles manufactured April 11, 2014, to June 9, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been assembled with an A-pillar interior cover designed for vehicles without side curtain air bags.

Risk. The affected vehicles are equipped with side curtain air bags and in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the side curtain air bags, the incorrect A-pillar interior cover may adversely affect the performance of the side curtain air bags increasing the risk of occupant injury.

Remedy. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the A-pillar interior cover and install the correct A-pillar cover, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on September 25, 2014. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-800-999-1009. Honda's number for this recall is JF9.

The vehicle experienced transmission drive issues accompanied by a Check Engine Light. An independent repair facility scanned the vehicle and confirmed diagnostic trouble code P0717 for a transmission speed sensor open circuit. The failure causes unexpected loss of acceleration and erratic power delivery while driving, redlining at 45 mph, malfunctioning of the gear selection display, and creating a safety hazard in active traffic. These symptoms line up with the CVT drive pulley shaft defect addressed in NHTSA Recall 15V574. When I contacted an authorized Honda dealership to address the issue, they stated this specific VIN is not included in the recall campaign. The vehicle and its diagnostic records are available for inspection upon request.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Check Charging System" warning light illuminated. Additionally, the engine start button intermittently failed to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was initially diagnosed with battery failure. However, the failure persisted after the battery was replaced. A diagnostic scan retrieved 6 Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in the computer. Upon further diagnostic test, the independent mechanic identified Technical Service Bulletin: 20-098 (Warranty Extension: 2015–17 Fit Keyless Start System Error with DTC B12C5). The vehicle could not be repaired under the TSB because the vehicle was outside of the warranty period. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.

The paint (white orchid pearl) is peeling down to the metal on three of the doors. I did have a spot on the roof repaired during the extended 7 year warranty. But this current problem happened after the warranty expired.

Honda confirmed my 2015 Honda fit VIN was part of the paint warranty extension program, yet the paint has continued to fail and spread significantly after the warranty extension expired.

Further attempts to drive showed engine would fail past 2000 rpm. • Failure occurred accelerating into traffic, risking collision. • The failure was diagnosed by Coggin Honda Orlando as an In - Tank Fuel Pump Low Pressure Remove and Replace. • UNKOWN if dealer referred issue to manufacturer. • No warning lamps, messages or symptoms of the problem appeared prior to failure. Only after engine failure After research found multiple recalls related to same FIT fuel pump for other years (23v858, 21v215, 20v314).

The start/stop switch on my 2015 Honda Fit failed — a known defect acknowledged by Honda through Service Bulletin A20-098. A faulty start/stop switch creates serious safety hazards including the inability to start the vehicle in an emergency, becoming stranded in dangerous locations such as intersections or highways, and potential inability to shut the engine off. My vehicle is UNDER the mileage threshold specified in the bulletin, yet Honda refused to cover any portion of my $750 repair. This lack of professional accountability could lead to other consumers avoiding this costly repair, which in turn could create dangerous situations.

Tire size 185/55/r16. The side wall of my tire has 5 areas where the tire came apart. Purchased tires from Walmart about 3-5 months ago

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while driving 45-50 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated, with the gear shift indicator light in neutral(N), and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with ignition software failure. The mechanic replaced the ignition switch. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 35-45 MPH, approximately four to five days later, the warning lights illuminated, the gear shift indicator light was in reverse(R), and the vehicle suddenly stalled in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle was pushed into the driveway of the contact's son. The contact stated that the incident was significantly frightening because the contact was a disabled heart patient, and there were two plates in the contact's neck due to a previous accident. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that there were metal shavings in the transmission, and the mechanic determined that the failure might be due to a pulley shaft fracture. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced, but the mechanic could not perform the repair. The vehicle was then taken to the independent mechanic where it was purchased; however, no assistance was provided. The dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired for free because the VIN was not

Odometer screen, which includes mileage, fuel gauge, time and any check engine information, will regularly blink, appear blank, show unreadable characters or a combination of the three on mornings with an external temperature of 60 F or below. Reading up on Honda Fit forums, it appears to be faulty hardware and/or poor solder joints that are cracking. Honda should be responsible for the repair or replacement of the display.

My gauge cluster comes on and off when it feels like it I owned the car for 5 years about its been this way I got it checked by the honda dealer 2/20/2026 their diagnosis is it having an internal failure I am not sure why it has no recall I feel its due to poor soldering from the manufactur I am the second owner of this car please help

The fuel gauge and mileage display became inoperable. Fuel level could not be determined.

The information display that shows fuel level, odometer, oil life, and trip is it displaying correctly. The characters are scrambling and unable to see the available fuel amount. The problem is intermittent and getting worse. This issue is happening with many, many, many owners.

Vehicle started to jerk and stall when running and selected to reverse from drive, progressively getting worse and has since stalled in traffic from a stop at a light to acceleration fwd , and frequently stalling more from park to reverse

The fuel gauge in the gauge cluster turns on and off unexpectedly and without reason for extended periods of time. The gauge will also do what I like to call hieroglyphic numbers, essentially unreadable lettering clearly due to an electrical malfunction. This is very distracting as a driver and has put me in a very near death experience from the fault. This problem makes it impossible to read the fuel quantity during or before operation of the vehicle. It has been confirmed by dealer that the fault is due to a damaged solder and has been clear that this is a common issue with most Honda fits.
