The front lower control arm ball joints may have been incorrectly installed or incorrectly repaired at the vehicle assembly plant, allowing the control arm to disconnect from the front wheel knuckle.

Risk. A detached control arm can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Lincoln MKC, 2016-2023 Explorer, 2019-2020 Fusion, 2019-2024 Ranger, 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair, Escape, 2021-2024 Bronco, Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.

Risk. An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater, free of charge. Owners will also have a alternative option to replace engine block heater element with a threaded blanking plug, and remove the block heater electrical cord. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed December 3, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated December 2026. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco Sport and 2020-2022 Escape vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines. A fuel injector may crack and leak fuel inside the engine compartment.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will update the engine control software. In addition, dealers will replace the high-pressure fuel rail assembly and fuel injectors, free of charge. As an interim repair, dealers will update the engine control software, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank image, or the image may remain on the display after the backing event has ended.

Risk. A rearview camera that displays a blank image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. A rearview image that continues to be displayed after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse may distract the driver. Both of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.

Risk. Battery failure can result in a loss of electrical accessories, including the hazard lights, or cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and if necessary, replace the 12-volt battery, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 2, 2025. Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Bronco Sport vehicles. Valves inside the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module may have been damaged during manufacturing, causing an internal ABS module leak.

Risk. A leak inside the ABS module can cause an unexpected increase in brake pedal travel or unexpected movement during an Auto Hold event, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Bronco Sport and 2022 F-150 vehicles. The parking lights may flicker when the headlights are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. Flickering parking lights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

My windshield wipers are randomly stopping working in the middle of driving in the rain. When the wipers stop, nothing on the lever is working, no rear wiper, no front wiper and no wiper fluid. The lever on the handle works nothing. This has happened probably 5 times randomly in last two weeks. Once the wipers stopped in an upright position and lever wouldn’t do anything until i hit a bump in the road and they all of a sudden started working again. Very scary, very dangerous. I took it into FORD dealer and they said nothing was wrong after their diagnostics and they sent me on my way. Doing my own research into the problem i see a recall but not for my Bronco Sport. Please help me with this as it is very scary to drive right now.

I am filing this complaint regarding the complete transmission failure of a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport at approximately 94,140 miles on [XXX]. Prior to the failure, the vehicle owner experienced mechanical problems and contacted Banner Ford on [XXX], regarding these concerns and an outstanding manufacturer recall. Banner Ford advised that diagnostic testing was necessary and scheduled an appointment for [XXX]. However, because this vehicle was the owner's only means of transportation and the dealership did not provide a requested loaner, she was unable to attend the appointment. Just four days later, on [XXX], the transmission completely failed. The owner also sought assistance from Kirk Brothers Ford in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and incurred two separate towing expenses during the process of obtaining service. Following the failure, Ford representatives advised that the dealership discovered metal shavings associated with the transmission damage. Ford subsequently denied warranty coverage and financial assistance, citing the metal shavings. However, Ford has not provided a detailed technical explanation identifying the underlying cause of the transmission failure or whether it resulted from an internal mechanical defect. Additionally, the vehicle had an outstanding PCM software recall. Despite repeated inquiries, we have not received documentation explaining whether the recall condition was evaluated as a possible contributing factor. I am concerned about the potential safety risk

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend (VIN: [XXX]) and unresolved safety recall 25S76 / NHTSA 25V467, involving a potential fuel injector crack and risk of an under-hood fire. I attempted to have this issue addressed at Covert Ford in 2025. As of XXX, the recall remains unresolved, and FordPass indicates that replacement parts are unavailable. My vehicle is currently at Leif Johnson Ford in [XXX]. I have also previously noticed a gasoline odor, although the cause has not been determined. I depend on this vehicle for daily transportation and long-distance travel. I am extremely concerned that Ford continues to leave me exposed to a known potential fire hazard without a completed remedy. This prolonged situation has caused significant and unnecessary stress. On Friday, October 9, 2026, I was driving to work when I noticed that my 2023 Ford Bronco Sport was struggling to accelerate after I stopped at a red light. When I arrived at work, I noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood. Upon opening the hood, I discovered a small fire behind the engine, which I was able to extinguish.Approximately three hours later, when I returned to my vehicle during my lunch break, it started and appeared to be running normally. However, while stopping to get gas, I noticed smoke coming from under the hood again, although there was no visible fire. Concerned about the vehicle’s condition, I drove the short distance to a dealership, where the vehicle was still smoking upon arrival.Initially, the dealership suggested that the fire may have been caused by leaves, debris, or possible rodent activity beneath the hood. However, this vehicle is my daily driver, and I had not experienced any issues of this nature before this incident. I am concerned that the cause has not yet been adequately established.The dealership later informed me that additional components, including the turbocharger and potentially other engine components, would need to be removed to assess the extent of the damage. Vehicle drives rough and seems to sputter at times - regardless of gear or driving mode.

Vehicle had turbo,All wheel drive module and transmission all go out at once at 106,000 miles. Vehicle was well maintained and taken care of.

Air Conditioning / Engine Cooling System / Belts and Pulleys My vehicle experienced a sudden failure of power while driving. When restarting the car as instructed by the vehicle to try and get it back home, it kept losing power. Eventually? there was a loud under-hood popping noise and visible smoke billowing from under the hood. Upon inspection by the dealership the A/C compressor locked up and broke a belt. The purge valve has failed and is leaking. This means the compressor, condenser, purge valve, and ac lines and txv valve needs to be replaced. A broken belt causes an immediate loss of power steering assist, loss of alternator charging, and rapid engine overheating. Experiencing a sudden loss of steering control at highway speeds drastically increases the risk of a severe motor vehicle crash. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized repair facility. Ford has not issued a safety recall for this defect. I would appreciate it if this issue was looked into.

My 2023 Ford Bronco Sport is subject to NHTSA Safety Recall 25V467 / Ford Recall 25S76, issued July 16, 2025. Ford states that a fuel injector may crack, resulting in fuel accumulating on top of the engine. Ford further states that liquid fuel or fuel vapor accumulating near hot engine or exhaust components may ignite and result in an under-hood fire, increasing the risk of injury. As of September 2026, more than a year after this recall was issued, Ford's VIN-specific recall website continues to show the recall as incomplete and states: "Parts are not currently available. Ford Motor Company is working to provide parts for this repair." I am concerned that I am being expected to continue operating a vehicle with a manufacturer-acknowledged fuel leak and fire hazard while no final repair is available. I am requesting that NHTSA review Ford's continued inability to provide the remedy for Recall 25V467/25S76 and determine whether Ford is meeting its obligation to provide an effective safety recall remedy within a reasonable period of time. I would also like NHTSA to determine whether additional interim safety instructions or other action is warranted for owners who continue to operate these vehicles while awaiting repair.

Ford cannot fix the fuel injector issue which according to Ford can start a fire in the engine. Now the water pump had to be replaced as it was leaking coolant. No recall. And the front shocks are leaking fluid. The seat belt fix remains as Ford does not have the parts. This is a 3 year old vehicle that has been the subject to several recalls and more recalls by Ford need implemented. I have not gone without a vehicle for over 8 days. And again an engine light is one that Ford is still looking into.

However, after the repairs, the failure persisted. The contact then stated that after his wife had completed a right turn, there was an abnormal, popping sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into another parked vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy on impact. The driver sustained neck pain after the crash but did not seek medical attention. A Police report was not filed. Upon arriving at the scene, the contact became aware that the CV axle had snapped which dented the tie rod. Due to the failure, the front passenger tire had detached from the axle and was sticking out from the wheel well. The vehicle was towed to a body shop where the mechanic discovered that the front passenger’s side tire had extreme wear and the tread was almost bald. The dealer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

I am filing a complaint because Recall 25V467 was issued one year ago to this month and Ford has still not provided the necessary repair or part and keeps saying they don't have a remedy.

We were driving in the middle of nowhere between [XXX] and [XXX] and the fuel system shut down cuz the fuel pump failed with a quarter of a tank left. We are stuck on the side of a narrow highway where the speed limit was 80 mph. Very scary. Every time we tried to start the car it would sputter and fail and the fuel warning came up not for lack of fuel but for a fuel pump issue. Software update was done the day before OTA. According to recall issues, fuel pump, cracks and failures have occurred many times and there are several recalls on that, but apparently our VIN is not included. This vehicle has been in multiple times for major repairs and is currently in for transmission replacement and coolant replacements. Both of these have already had parts replaced. The recall on my car has been on it for a year and has yet to be addressed. I was told that my car started smoking while in ford possession and attempting repairs. When I questioned the recall I was told it wasn’t a big deal and that it was just a system thing and not a danger. This does not seem to be the case. The vehicle has had issues since 15000 miles and has been repaired 4 times but officially broke down at 96000 miles in less than 3 years.

During the failure, the exterior lighting became inoperable, and several messages were displayed, including the message "No Key Detected". The child and child car seat located in the rear seat of the vehicle were manually shifted to the front driver’s side door and removed from the vehicle. 2023 Ford Bronco Sport purchased 2 years ago with only 1 minor recall. I’ve had to replace my water pump already and it’s had a fuel injector recall (amongst others) in place for over a year and FORD is unable to remedy due to not having parts. This could cause a fire in my engine and is a major safety risk. On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, yet ANOTHER recall, making that 14 TOTAL recalls on the 2023 Bronco Sport, with a DO NOT DRIVE ADVISORY due to a suspension failure, was issued. These issues are incredibly unsafe and put drivers at a very serious risk of injury or death. I attempted to work with a local Ford dealership in hopes they would buy the vehicle back however they REFUSED unless I traded it in for another vehicle on their lot. Otherwise, I would have had to PAY FORD $2,000 to make up the difference in “value” (I disputed the value as I had one KBB report and they had a “different” one) and my loan payoff. I stated several times I cannot put thousands of dollars down to purchase a new vehicle at this time; however, I do not want to drive this unsafe hazardous vehicle for another day. They would not work with me at all nor did they offer to fix it or even look at the vehicle. Under NO circumstances should an owner have to pay Ford for their negligence and poor manufacturing, especially with a recent DO NOT DRIVE ADVISORY issued, no matter how much the owner owes on their loan. Ford Safety Recall 25S76, NHTSA Recall 25V467 is now 11 months old with no notice yet of a repair available. This seems too long.

This is in regards to an open recall for a year. Your website said to file a complaint if it’s not taken care of in a timely manner, And Ford has still not provided the parts to take care of this recall.

On May 15, 2006 I was turning slowly into a parking space perhaps 3 to 5 miles an hour. My vehicle suddenly surged forwarded and accelerated on its own. I hit a wall. No warning lights appeared. No crash warning or any beeping of any sort. My car had a recall for the fuel injector. In October 2025 Ford sent out someone to adjust the software at my home. I do not believe a tube was ever inserted. Witnesses reported I was going slow and the car accelerated. I eat at the location almost every day so they watch for my car and whether there were 1 or 2 people. So it is not just a random witness. I do not know what parts are involved other than to say there was an un commanded acceleration and engine surge.

My vehicle makes a horrible noise when I’m driving and making a turn. According to a mechanic shop I took my vehicle to, the RDU vent hose that was put on by the manufacturer is highly susceptible to get clogged and drawing in outside moisture causing this horrible noise. The mechanic stated that they have seen this issue with other Ford Bronco Sport vehicles.

On or about December 2025, the vehicle began emitting strong fuel/exhaust fumes through the air conditioning vents during operation. The fumes were noticeable inside the passenger cabin and created concerns of toxic exposure and possible fire risk. The condition was reported to an authorized Ford dealership, Hacienda Ford, which retained the vehicle for inspection for approximately two months. The dealership acknowledged concerns involving the fuel system/fuel injectors and performed inspection procedures and software-related recall work; however, the vehicle was later returned without replacement or repair of fuel system components. After the vehicle was released, the same fuel/fume odor condition reoccurred during normal driving, including an incident where the fumes became overwhelming inside the cabin while driving toward [XXX] . The vehicle is associated with an open safety recall identified as manufacturer recall 25S76 / NHTSA campaign 25V467, described as “remedy not yet available.” Despite repeated reports of fuel/exhaust fumes and concerns involving possible fuel injector defects, Ford Motor Company and the dealership have not provided a written determination that the vehicle is safe to operate. A formal final escalation letter was sent to Ford Motor Company demanding a safety determination, alternate repair authorization, reimbursement of towing expenses, and clarification regarding open recalls and known fuel system issues. The apparent failure involves the engine lubrication and/or cooling system. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, I noticed a strong burning oil/fluid/exhaust-type odor. Initially, I believed it was coming from other vehicles because my vehicle had passed inspection about two weeks earlier. Once parked and away from traffic, it became clear the odor was coming from my vehicle. About one hour later, I discovered a large puddle of oil underneath the vehicle. Upon inspection, the coolant reservoir was nearly empty and the engine oil level was almost completely absent from the dipstick. I added approximately four quarts of oil. The leak appears to occur or worsen once the engine reaches operating temperature. No warning lights, dashboard messages, or other indicators appeared before or during the failure. There were no visible leaks where the vehicle had been parked earlier that same day. The burning odor was the only symptom prior to discovering the fluid loss. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle appears capable of rapidly losing oil and coolant without warning, which could result in engine seizure, loss of power, fire risk, or loss of vehicle control while driving. Oil leaking onto road surfaces could also create hazards for other motorists. The vehicle has never been off-road or driven on anything other than paved roads, and the leak does not appear to originate from the oil drain plug area. I was driving on the highway and my car started making a lot of noise. I got a notice “The Engine system has detected a fault.” Then another notification saying 4 wheel drive was disabled and then my car stopped running, leaving me stranded in the middle of the highway. My car would start, but it would not go into any gear. When I tried putting it in gear, I got a notification that said “Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Speed Your Malfunction warning is on because your vehicle’s transmission cannot be shifted or moved out of park.” I had to wait in the middle of the highway for approximately 30-45 minutes for a tow truck to come, and the whole time, there were cars traveling 80 mph swerving to miss me. I was sincerely afraid for my life.

Noticed fuel smell in passenger cabin. Had vehicle towed to Ford dealership. Dealership refused to repair because Ford said parts aren't available. Gasoline odor still prevalent. Took vehicle to independent shop on 4/27 and mechanic found substantial leak pooling near injector #1. So, the software update which is supposed to identify a fuel leak and put vehicle into limp mode and eventually shut down the engine. Independent shop sourced replacement parts and performed the repair as the mechanic said it was a safety hazard which could cause a fire as noted in the outstanding recall. I was at a complete stop and a car rear ended me going 45 MPH. The airbags did NOT go off. Causing me to hit my head on the steering wheel. The car then gave warning on the Ford app saying " Your air bag warning is on due to an issue with the front passenger air bag system. The front passenger airbag may not work properly." Another notification says " Your air ab warning is on because the system has detected a crash." The police and paramedics at the scene where very shocked that the airbags did not deploy. I was taken to the ER by ambulance due to this. Please look into it, I would hate for someone to get hurt or killed due to this issue.

2023 Bronco Sport had its serpentine belt replaced in February of 2026 because it was loose causing my engine to overheat. I had to have it towed because I was sitting on the side of the road. Then in April of 2026 the Bronco started making horrible loud clanging sounds and jerking when it was put in gear. Towed again to the shop. Now I am told this 3 year old car needs a new transmission. Doing research i have found that several Bronco owners have the same problem. Why does Ford not have a recall for this!! My mechanic was looking for a rebuilt one and can't find one because the demand for them is higher than what the supply is. This should tell you something!!

Nothing has happened but remedy has not been available for awhile on cracked injector issue

The contact stated that while idling at a stoplight, the vehicle suddenly stalled while attempting to accelerate. The contact was able to turn off and restart the vehicle to continue driving; however, the vehicle stalled twice. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the canister purge valve had failed due to a high-pressure purge flow in the EVAP system. The vehicle was scheduled for repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 36,600.

My engine light came on and stayed on. The vehicle also stalled twice when trying to drive home. I was already scheduled for my yearly inspection at the Ford dealership in Washington PA who said they would also check into this issue. The Ford dealership advised me that this was an emissions issue where the valve was sticking and it wouldn't pass inspection unless I paid to have a new valve put in and also have new tubing put in. I paid around $700 to have it all replaced and then it passed inspection. Now my sister who also has a 2023 Ford Sport Bronco is having the same issue and is scheduled for repair. Both my sister's and my vehicle have milage that is just over 36,000 miles. I will give her the phone number to call and report her issue as well. I feel this should be a recall issue.

I have had recall number 25S76/25V467 on my vehicle since July 2025. The dealership keeps telling me this recall is for a software update and my vehicle is updated. ! But why would the recall still be showing as incomplete then? And how is recall 25S76/25V467 just a software update? It doesn't sound anything software related!!
