Defect. LOOSE PIVOT BOLT HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO ITS SUPPORT BRACKET COULD DISENGAGE FROM THE NUT.
Risk. THIS COULD CAUSE LOSS OF BRAKING ACTIVITY THAT COULDRESULT IN A TRUCK CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
Remedy. RETORQUE BRAKE PEDAL PIVOT BOLTS TO SPECIFICATIONS TO PREVENT LOOSENING.
THE REAR U-JOINT & CONNECTED DRIVESHAFT SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT, GMC DEALER REMOVED THE DRIVESHAFT COMPLETELY/ REPLACED THE FRONT U-JOINT, AND REINSTALLED THE DRIVESHAFT. DEALER WILL NOT INSPECT VEHICLE. *AK *YC
VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. HAD TO STEP ON THE BRAKES, APPLYING BOTH FEET, TO STOP. EVEN AFTER THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPAIRED, THE BRAKING PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN IMPROVED. *AK
WHILE STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN THE REAR END COLLAPSED AND CAUSED ENTIRE THE DIFFERENTIAL TO DROP *AK
AT A SPEED OF 30 MPH THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE WRAPPED AROUND THE REAR HOUSING, CAUSING BRAKE LOCKUP (ABS). TT
MANUAL HAS FAILED TWICE, SHIFTING MECHANISM AND CLUTCH HAVE FAILED. TT
CLUTCH FAILED TEN TIMES, RESULTING IN NO CLUTCH OPERATION WHILE DRIVING, REPLACE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY SEVEN TIMES. TT
