2013 Porsche Panamera

Defect. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2003-2020 Porsche Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Cayman S, 2001-2004 Boxster, Boxster S, 2004 Boxster 50 JAHRE SPYDER 550 vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of all affected models and model years. The caps that cover the low-beam headlight horizontal adjustment screws are missing, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. Improperly adjusted headlights may not illuminate the road properly, or cause a glare to oncoming drivers, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the headlights for sealing caps and install missing caps as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 28, 2022. Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ANB4.

Defect. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2003-2006 Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, 2004-2010 Cayenne, 2006 Cayenne Turbo S, 2010-2016 Panamera S, Panamera 4 S, Panamera Turbo, 2011-2016 Panamera, Panamera 4, 2012-2013 Panamera Turbo S, 2013-2016 Panamera 4 GTS, 2014-2016 Panamera 4 S Executive, Panamera Turbo Executive, Panamera Turbo S G1 II, Panamera Turbo S Executive, 2013 Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, Panamera Platinum Edition, 2016 Panamera 4 Edition, Panamera Edition, Panamera Turbo S Executive Luxury Sports vehicles. The bushing that attaches the gear selector lever to the gearbox may degrade over time, causing the bushing to detach. This condition could allow the driver to move the shift lever to Park and remove the ignition key, while the transmission may not be in Park, with no warning message or audible chime.

Risk. If the vehicle is exited without the transmission being in Park and without the parking brake being applied, the vehicle may unexpectedly move, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the shifter cable bushing, free of charge. Owners are instructed to use the parking brake until their vehicle is repaired. The recall began August 9, 2019. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AKB1.

Defect. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2010-2016 Panamera 4S and Panamera S, 2011-2016 Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera Turbo, 2012-2016 Panamera Turbo S and Panamera S E-Hybrid, 2013-2016 Panamera GTS, 2013 Panamera Platinum Edition and Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, 2014-2016 Panamera 4S Executive, Panamera Turbo Executive and Panamera Turbo S Executive, 2015 Panamera Diesel and 2016 Panamera 4 Edition, Panamera Edition and Panamera Turbo S Exclusive Series vehicles. Water may enter the A/C blower control unit, causing an electrical short circuit.

Risk. An electrical short increases the risk of fire.

Remedy. Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the blower control unit, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 10, 2020. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AKA7. Note: Porsche recommends that owners park their vehicle outdoors until the recall remedy has been performed.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Porsche Panamera. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of the purchase, the vehicle's mileage was 80,000. It was later discovered that the mileage was approximately 180,000.

Horn does not function. There have been multiple times where I was nearly run off the road or had to quickly change lanes because another driver was not paying attention and I could not tell them I was there without my horn. The problem has been confirmed by the Porsche dealer I purchased the vehicle from and stated it would be more than $800 to replace the horn. They stated there is no way of fixing it and it would have to be replaced. My husband’s 2015 Porsche Cayenne is also having the same issue and I will be filing a separate report. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others. There were no warning lights or messages. I did notice the sound of the horn slowly getting weaker over a period of maybe 2 months until it eventually stopped making sound altogether. This all began approximately 1 year ago.

I purchased the above-referenced car in July 2020 almost immediately after purchase the indicator light came on with Chasis failure and the car lowered to a safe distance to the ground. Unbeknownst to me the car had been declared unsafe to drive previously. The airbags had been deployed and placed backward the front sensors were painted over and not operable. I had to take legal action against four years later the dealer who ended up reselling the car in 2021 for more money. No reporting of these documented problems.

Porsche dashboard leather shrunk and staples pulled out. I was told that if the vehicle was in an accident the airbag might not deploy correctly. The Porsche dealer looked at it and recommended replacing it. This is a very common issue

All three of my horns are out on my 2013 Porsche Panamera GTS

MY 2013 PORSCHE PANAMERA HAS A SAFETY RECALL (PLEASE SEE ATTACHED). I HAVE CONTACTED PORSCHE CARS NORTH AMERICA (NUMEROUS TIMES) AND ITS DEALERSHIPS (PORSCHE OF SILVER SPRING AND OTHERS). BUT ALL HAVE REFUSED MY RECALL WORK BECAUSE I AM ON A BLACK LIST VIA PORSCHE CARS NORTH AMERICA. THEY HAVE DECLINED TO WORK ON MY CAR BECAUSE OF PAST ISSUES WITH ME PERSONALLY. EACH DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN INSTRUCTED NOT TO SERVICE MY VEHICLE. WHEN I CALL THE MANUFACTURER THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS SAY THAT THERE IS A NOTE ON MY ACCOUNT THAT SAYS I AM NOT TO BE ASSISTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 PORSCHE PANAMERA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE INDICATOR TURNED RED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL AND SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO PORSCHE OF SILVER SPRING (LOCATED AT 3141 AUTOMOBILE BLVD, SILVER SPRING, MD 20904, 888-462-9925) AND PORSCHE OF ARLINGTON (LOCATED AT 3100 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, ARLINGTON, VA 22202, 888-600-3538). BOTH DEALERS SERVICED THE VEHICLE SO THAT IT COULD BECOME OPERABLE AGAIN. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF THE REMEDIES THAT WERE PERFORMED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED FREQUENTLY OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.

I AM THE OWNER OF A PORSCHE PANAMERA 2013, I AM ENCOUNTERING A PROBLEM AND SAFETY ISSUE, IT SEEMS THIS CARS HAS A DEFECTIVE SHIFTER WHICH COULD ENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE DESPITE MOVING IT IN POSITION THE SHIFTER. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 PORSCHE PANAMERA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VENT CONTROL FUNCTION FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY FOR THE AIR CONDITIONER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V322000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) WAS ISSUED ON APRIL 24, 2019. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT IDENTIFY IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH THE FAILURE WAS RELATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT A REPAIR SOLUTION COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

MY 2013 PANAMERA, BASE MODEL WITH 25 K MILES WHEN BOTH HORNS FAILED TO FUNCTION. I WOULD FUSS I HAVE USED THEM LESS THEN 10 TIMES TOTAL? ARE U KIDDING ME! I HOPE THE IRVINE DEALER WILL WORK WITH ME.

THE CAR ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 4 TIMES AFTER THE 1ST. INCIDENT. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEM. THE CAR NOW HAS ABOUT 3,500 MILES ON IT. EACH TIME I WAS ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY HIT THE BRAKE AND AVOID AN ACCIDENT. IT ONLY HAPPENS AT LOW SPEED OR ENGINE IDLE WITH MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. *TR
