Defect. Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 CX-90 and 2025 CX-70 mild hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV). The fuel gauge in the instrument cluster may display an inaccurate fuel reading.

Risk. An inaccurate fuel gauge may result in the vehicle unexpectedly running out of fuel and stalling, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the body control module (BCM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 24, 2025. During vehicle startup, the defroster, seat belt warning, 360° view monitor functions, and the PHEV high-voltage battery cooling system may not function properly.

Risk. An ESU that does not function properly, increases the risk of a crash.

Defect. Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 vehicles. The brakes may activate suddenly due to the automatic braking system falsely detecting certain objects while driving.

Risk. Unexpected braking increases the risk of a crash.

Defect. Mazda North America Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 vehicles. An assembly issue with the worm gear in the steering system may result in a sudden loss of power steering assist.

Risk. Loss of power steering assist while driving increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the spring engaging the worm gear and reapply grease to the gear teeth, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 6, 2024. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6. Mazda's number for this recall is 6524A.

Defect. Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) vehicles. Due to a software error, the engine and electric motor may shut down unexpectedly, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Risk. A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.

Defect. Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 and MAZDA3 vehicles. Due to a software error, the rearview, front, and/or side camera images may not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy. Dealers will update the view monitor control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2023. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6. Mazda's number for this recall is 6223J.

Defect. Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 vehicles. Software in the Approaching Vehicle Audible System (AVAS) Information Sound Box (ISB) amplifier may be missing, which can cause inaccurate, external pedestrian warning sounds. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 141, "Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid Electric Vehicles."

Risk. Inaccurate external warning sounds may confuse pedestrians about the direction of an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

My main complaint is the steering system. They had the recall fixed at a Mazda dealer in Tennessee before I purchased it. My steering wheel always seem to be crooked I took it to the dealer for an alignment that did not fix the issue of the car going side to side. I took it to three other shops for alignments and the car still seems to go in different directions no matter how correct they get the steering wheel. I also took the car to the dealership about the AC system making loud rattling like a can of nuts and bolts. I had five videos of the issue and let them see them and listen to them they had the car for approximately 32 days and returned it and told me there was no problem. While they had the car I had four different loaners 2025 and 2026 models and none of these models had any of the problems that my 2024 had. They were quiet and there were no issues with the steering rack. My arms actually get tired steering this car down the road because it always wants to go in a different direction it is not a hard steer is very subtle but it keeps you correcting the steering wheel from left to right the entire trip. After returning my car after a month of having it the AC was blowing very poorly and I took it back again. They evacuated the system and recharged it which seem to help however, now it seems to blow cold and then go back to warm sometimes blowing cold or if the car is just parked rather than going down the road. The contact owns a 2024 Mazda CX-90 equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Alenza, Tire Size: 275/45/R21, DOT Number: 1RBP3AAU1. The contact stated that after the vehicle had been driven for 12,000 miles, the tread on all four tires was prematurely worn down by more than 60%. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the tires were inspected, and it was confirmed that the tread showed premature wear due to the torque from the engine. The contact was informed to continue driving the vehicle for another 3,000 miles before replacing the tires. The tires were replacement tires. The vehicle failure mileage was 37,400. The tire failure mileage was 12,000.

[XXX] CT60 A/S 275/45 R21 I've had issues with two tires, so far. My front drivers tire blew out driving at slow speed. I replaced it at the Mazda dealership. Few months later, the front passenger tire was going low. I had a maintenance appt., so I asked the dealership to air the tire. I can't say if they didn't; however, I had to add air down the street from the dealership. Two days later the tire was down again, so I took it to Sam's Club to repair the leak. The tech there told me he couldn't repair the tire and that it needs to be replaced. Come to find out the tire had wires exposed ALL THE WAY AROUND! Mazda let me leave their lot on Labor Day weekend with steel wires coming out of the tire...mind blowing! Vehicle has 43,000 miles and the radiator has failed. Engine light goes off and on about high engine temperature and limits acceleration. Lost acceleration on freeway and was forced to get off on the freeway shoulder. The temperature gauge jumps from normal to high. Engine was extremely hot and potentially a burn hazard when I opened the hood. I've researched Mazda CX-90 owner's online forums and this radiator failure is happening to the 2024 model with several owners just out of warranty stating leaks spraying engine area. My vehicle has the same green coolant spray dried on the water hoses that many other owners have experienced.

Heavy and sticky steering. While cornering or turning steering wheels can become stuck and does not return to central position and is very heavy. Reported to Mazda USA but they refuse to fix even though this is a know issue with a recall. Concen for the safety of my family while driving the car.

Drivers side interior door handle does not latch to open. No notable event lead to this - door opens from outside fine. Huge safety hazard.

Our 2024 Mazda CX-90 has experienced the same significant malfunction on two separate occasions while being driven on busy public roads. The vehicle displayed an “Acceleration Limited Due to Battery Condition” warning and experienced significantly reduced/limited acceleration while driving. This put the occupants and other motorists at risk because the vehicle could not accelerate normally in traffic. A similar occurrence while merging, crossing an intersection, or traveling in heavy traffic could potentially result in a collision. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Mazda dealership twice for the same issue and has been out of service for approximately six cumulative weeks. The vehicle is currently at the authorized Mazda dealership and is available for inspection. The dealership has been made aware of and is attempting to diagnose/repair the recurring condition. The exact component or system responsible for the failure is currently UNKNOWN. The issue recurred after the vehicle was previously returned to us following the first repair attempt. Prior to/during the failure, the vehicle displayed the warning message “Acceleration Limited Due to Battery Condition.” Any additional warning lamps, diagnostic codes, or underlying component failures are currently UNKNOWN and are being investigated by the Mazda dealership. The steering seems to stick when turning left. Have give it a yank to get it back to normal

Steering wheel feels "sticky" turning left. this is a safety issue as it can potentially cause an accident, the vehicle is currently at a mazda dealership, no warning lamps or messages.

My vehicle experienced a total, premature radiator failure at 43,500 miles, after the manufacturer's factory warranty expired. The vehicle began leaking engine coolant rapidly. This creates a severe safety hazard, as a sudden loss of coolant leads to immediate engine overheating, potential engine stall, and catastrophic failure while driving at highway speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.A certified technician diagnosed the vehicle and provided video/photographic evidence confirming that the coolant leak is originating from a specific crack on the lower section of the driver's side radiator.This is a known, systemic manufacturing defect based on my research. Numerous other 2024 Mazda CX-90 owners on automotive forums have documented the exact same failure occurring in the exact same location on the lower driver-side radiator. The defect required a complete radiator replacement, forcing me to pay approximately $2,204 (with taxes and fees) out of pocket for a premature component failure that should safely last past 100,000 miles. I have digital photographic/video proof of the cracked unit from the service technician available for review.

I bought my 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV 10 months ago with 22000 miles on it and no and now has 29000 miles on it. First thing I had a issue with was a Motor Mount was bad, took 12 weeks to get part was told it was safe to drive. Next, since I have had the vehicle I have been having a issue with the transmission making a noise while both shifting from first to second and also on down shifting. It does not happen all the time but is happening. I took the vehicle in to the dealership to have it looked at and they were able to reproduce the issue. When they conferred with Mazda on the issue they were told that it was a known issue but there is no fix for it at this point and was dertermined safe to drive. I also talked to Mazda myself who also told me that it was a known issue but there is no fix and determined it safe to drive. I love the vehicle but to have this noise keep happening and being told they are working on a fix does not make me feel confident in the vehicle with this especially when my wife also drives it. My biggest question is this is a 2024 Mazda and I am told the 2025 also has the same problem. How long is the answer were working on a fix to long to believe that they actually are since there are now 2026 and soon to be 2027 models coming out. I am being told it is only the PHEV vehicles having this issue which explains the reason the PHEV model I believe is being discontinued. Would love to hear from you what my recourse would be. During normal operation of the car the radiator sprung a leak which could have resulted in leaving us stranded with our young kid. this was verified by the dealership who's only solution has been to replace the radiator at our expense. There were no warning lights or other indications of the damage other than coolant leaking from the bottom of the car

The contact stated that while turning the steering wheel to the left, the steering wheel became stuck momentarily and experienced resistance while attempting to return the steering wheel to center. The contact stated that additional force was needed to return the steering wheel to center. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the steering rack and pinion were inoperable and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000.

I purchased the vehicle used. The issue I have been having is the steering feels sticky, heavy, or briefly resistant when turning. It is very prominent when turning the steering wheel to the left, especially going around corners and rotaries, but even bends in the road. When trying to straighten out after the turn, I have to jerk the steering wheel back to the other direction. This becomes a control issue to keep within my lane. Driving straight the issue is present as the steering doesn’t self‑center smoothly. The issue happens once the car is "warmed up" - if I started cold in the morning, it is not present, but within a few minutes of driving the steering effort changes unexpectedly. The issue has been ongoing since March 2026.

Driving down the freeway, the car throws an error code, reduces speed from 75 to 40 in seconds, with enough time to pull off the freeway. The car has an error code stating "Hybrid battery malfunction." Now the car will not start. The Dealer could not get it started and now wants to charge me for a diagnostic. But from my understanding, they should cover a new battery under EPA regulations (40 CFR Part 85). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mazda dealership confirmed my car completed the Recall 24V-022, however, I am still experiencing a Sticky steering wheel. A sudden, brief increase in steering effort, a "notchy" or binding feel during minor lane corrections or long highway curves, and failure of the wheel to smoothly return to center.
