2019 Keystone Raptor

Defect. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Keystone Carbon, Cougar, Fuzion, Impact and Raptor fifth-wheel trailers equipped with a Furrion over the air (OTA) wing-style television antenna. The antenna may separate from the mounting base during transit, becoming a road hazard.

Risk. If the antenna detaches from the trailer while moving it may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Furrion wing-style antenna with a Winegard dome-style antenna, free of charge. The recall began August 27, 2020. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 20-381.

Defect. Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Keystone Raptor recreational trailers. The quick disconnect rubber propane line may be incorrectly routed, allowing the outside grill to be stored while the fuel supply is still on and the flame is still lit.

Risk. If the grill is stored while the flame is still lit, it can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the quick disconnect rubber propane line with a line that must be disconnected prior to storing the grill, free of charge. The recall began on January 14, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 19-343.

Defect. Keystone RV (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Keystone Raptor recreational trailers, model 353TS. The tires may rub against the frame outrigger while being towed.

Risk. Tire contact with the frame outrigger may result in tire damage and can affect vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will cut a notch into the frame outrigger that will provide clearance between the frame and tire, free of charge. The recall began November 20, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 18-339.

Component failed: while traveling at 65 mph on [XXX] the black tank (waste tank) fell from its mounting brackets and hitting the road way. At the time approximately 10 gallons on clean water was in the tank. No warning or way to know it dislodged from its brackets. I was flagged down by a passing motorist. How was your safety at risk: Routed under the waste tank there are approximately 12 power wires, generator fuel lines (connect to 30 gallon fuel tank) and propane lines. (120 gallons), When i came to a stop and surveyed the damage along side the road, i realized my generator was running, caused by arching/shorting wires. I had numerous hot wires sparking and arching. the tank fell forward out of its mounts and the front was dragging on the road way along with the underbelly insulation. The generator fuel lines were loose and pulled from their mounts, but fortunately were not leaking. After the vehicle was safely secured and removed from the roadside, it was taken to a Keystone dealer in Saco, Maine. The dealer confirmed the tanks slid from the mounts, the technician stated, when installing the new tank, he was able to move the mounting brackets inwards to better secure /hold the tank in place. My tank brackets were moved one inch inward. In short, the process to install the tank mounts in the correct position is not repeatable. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 (NA) KEYSTONE RAPTOR 425TS FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRAILER WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH THE BONDING JUMPER CONNECTING WIRE THAT SHOULD BE LOCATED IN THE FUEL DOOR AREA. WITHOUT THIS CONNECTING WIRE, THE VEHICLE COULD CATCH FIRE WHEN REFUELING ANOTHER ITEM, SUCH AS AN ATV OR GOLF CART. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE DEFECT AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO GO TO A LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE IT INSTALLED; HOWEVER, NO DEALER HAS BEEN ABLE TO ASSIST.
