Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach.

Risk. Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the roof rack crossbar pivot bolts, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, 2025-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, 2026 Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L PHEV vehicles. Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."

Risk. A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 29, 2026. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The quarter trim on the driver and passenger windows may not have been properly secured, which can allow it to detach.

Risk. Detached trim pieces can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the quarter window glass assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 19, 2026. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The trim on the driver and passenger doors may not have been installed properly, which can allow it to detach.

Risk. Detached trim pieces can create a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the door trim, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2025. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. Incorrect software in the rearview camera module may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the rearview camera module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 21, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D5B.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) (Stellantis) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Chrysler Pacifica, Ram 3500, Ram 3500 cab chassis, Ram 2500, Ram 4500 cab chassis, Ram 5500 cab chassis, 2023 Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a GVWR less than 10,000 lbs., and Chrysler Voyager vehicles. The steering column control module may not be welded properly, which can prevent the driver's air bag from deploying in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk. An air bag that does not deploy in a crash can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the steering column control module, as necessary free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed April 11, 2024 through June 20, 2024. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The third-row seat belts may not allow occupants to properly access or fasten the seat belt to the buckle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

Risk. An unfastened seat belt may increase the risk of injury to occupants during a crash.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The Central Vision Park Assist module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the Central Vision Park Assist Module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 56A.

The engine cooling system failed while my husband and I were driving on the freeway at night: the thermostat stuck closed and cut off coolant flow to the engine, causing it to overheat and become unsafe to continue driving. This occurred at approximately 10:00 PM on XXX roughly two hours from home over a holiday weekend, with two occupants in the vehicle. The vehicle had to be towed, but it took nearly four hours to get a tow truck, leaving us stranded on the freeway at night; because we were stranded so far from home, my [XXX] father had to drive two hours to reach us at 10:00 PM and then drive us two hours home, arriving around 1:00 AM, which put an elderly driver on the road late at night and created further risk. There was first a low oil pressure code and the engine was revving without the gas being pressed. Then that code went away and the engine overheating code came on along with an occasional battery code. The vehicle was diagnosed and repaired by Bud's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram between XXX and XXX the dealership confirmed the stuck thermostat and coolant cut-off and replaced the thermostat. Within less than 24 hours of picking the vehicle up from the thermostat repair on XXX6, it began shutting off on its own and losing engine RPM, including while being driven on the freeway and while stopped at a red light. It shut off completely on its own two times in the first 24 hours back in my possession, with no warning that the vehicle was about to lose power. Losing power on the freeway risks a sudden loss of motive power at highway speed and a high-speed collision, and shutting off at a red light risks being unable to move out of an intersection or accelerate away from a hazard, with a heightened risk of being struck. During these failures the vehicle displayed a battery warning code and, separately, a "service transmission" warning; both appeared and then cleared. These symptoms first appeared on XXX, within hours of the vehicle being returned from the prior repair. The failures have not yet been reproduced by a service center; the vehicle is scheduled to return to the place of purchase, Grogans Town Dodge Jeep Ram on XXX for diagnosis, and the same vehicle was in this dealership's service department of another dealership 2 hours from our home because thats where we were when the thermomstat issue occured on XXX for the separate cooling-system failure. Vehicle shut down 4 times in traffic almost causing an accident each time loss of power and steering. This all occurred in 1 day.

2024 Wagoneer was shifting weird, throwing itself in parking mode. Shutting off and making you stop while driving to shift in desired gear. Throwing itself in park going down the highway and about had us in a head on collision. Motor has loss of lower and overheating. Multiple misfires on multiple cylinders on all 3 occasions when returned to the dealership. Unable to fix on multiple attempts. Car is still in dealership garage awaiting to be repaired.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH on the interstate, the vehicle stalled. While the contact’s husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shut down, and the driver was able to coast off the roadway. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The check engine warning light turned on and off. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the failure was caused by the auxiliary battery. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the failure was caused by the heat. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

The engine shuts off unexpectedly when the automatic start stop system engages. At the same time the engine shuts off, the power steering warning light illuminates and steering assist is lost. The vehicle must be restarted to regain power steering and continue driving. This has occurred on multiple occasions, including while the vehicle was slowing to a stop in traffic. The sudden loss of steering assist while the vehicle is in motion presents an immediate safety risk to the driver, passengers, and surrounding traffic. This appears to be a widespread issue. Other 2024 Jeep Wagoneer owners have reported the same combination of symptoms, sudden stalling paired with power steering warning lights, in complaints already on file with NHTSA. Suspected causes reported by owners and dealers include a failing 12V or auxiliary battery, a Powertrain Control Module fault, and a Power Distribution Center or wiring fault.

On at least 6-8 occasions car engine has shut off and car is automatically placed in emergency brake. This then requires you to place car in park, then restart vehicle. This happens while driving on interstate and when car slows down for traffic car engine without warning, will shut off, car will then automatically turn on emergency brake forcing sudden stop in interstate hwy traffic. Very dangerous as you have to place car in Park and restart engine. Cars behind you are now slamming on brakes to avoid rear end collision. This has also occurred while sitting at traffic light when again car engine shuts off and has to be placed in park to restart. There is no warning, no warning lights, no check engine after incident occurs and according to dealership no engine codes recorded due to incident. I have left car at dealership on several occasion for several days. I believe it was replicated at dealership but again it registers no codes in engine computer to help resolve issue. When a car traveling down the interstate suddenly shuts down it is extremely dangerous placing my car and family at risk as well as any traveling behind us. Dealership has not been able to resolve issue. They can update software and the car will go several weeks without issue then suddenly you are back to engine shut down again I am second owner of 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S II Carbine. Purchased at GMC dealership. At time of purchase dealership provided maintenance records which showed no issues of engine failure

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving on a busy highway at an undisclosed speed with the contact's two minor children seated in the rear seat, the "Shift To Park" warning message was displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine stalled. In addition, the contact stated that the gear selector was stuck. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted and was driven to the residence. The contact stated that the failure was persistent. A dealer was made aware of the failure, and the vehicle was scheduled to be towed to the dealer for diagnostic testing the following day. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 27,800.

Immediately after taking delivery of this brand-new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer L, a severe and violent mechanical vibration was detected while driving at highway speeds. When the vehicle reaches 70 mph and above, the steering wheel shakes aggressively in the driver's hands, and the entire vehicle chassis vibrates violently. This severe shaking impacts vehicle tracking, makes it difficult to maintain steady steering control at cruising speeds, and creates an immediate road safety hazard for the occupants and surrounding traffic. The vehicle is currently unsafe to operate at normal highway speeds.

The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system falsely engages under normal driving conditions when no obstacles, vehicles, or other hazards are present. These false activations occurred at very low speeds, while stopped, while parking, and while the vehicle is in neutral. When this happens, the vehicle brakes abruptly, shifts itself into park, and shuts off entirely. This is not normal system operation and creates a significant safety concern because the vehicle has stopped abruptly and disabled itself unexpectedly on numerous occasions while moving. While my vehicle was in neutral and moving through an automatic car wash on a track, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system malfunctioned. My vehicle shifted itself into park and shut down. This sudden engagement caused the vehicle behind me to collide with the rear of my vehicle. As a result, the driver of the following vehicle has filed a collision claim against my insurance policy. My vehicle has been taken to the dealership 6 times for this AEB-related issue, along with other ongoing concerns, on the following dates: 09/11/25, 10/07/25, 11/12/25, 01/19/26, 03/09/26, and as of 6/05/26 is back at the dealership. The vehicle will unexpectedly shift out of gear at low speeds, requiring me to stop and place it back into gear before I can continue driving. Vehicle overheated and came to a sudden stop on a busy intersection, with my five young children in the car. Faulty thermostat.

I’ve had issues with the blind spot sensors. After driving a mile or two on open road, the warning pops up saying “Blind Spot sensors unavailable” then the lights on the mirror stay on. This was happening a few months ago so the right sensor was replaced. Now it’s happening again. In a vehicle that is two years old this shouldn’t be an issue.

The internal drive pin on the factory thermostat's ball valve is binding or failing causing my engine to overheat.

While in drive the entire car turned off and systems shut off. I was in a busy street and it Turned back on and all flashing alert lights were on.

On 5/14/26 around 8:00am, I just dropped the kids off to school and entered onto the 5 lane freeway, 290, driving into work. Driving 70 miles an hour, the steering light and a warning light came on and then other lights started flashing. The engine shut off, and the steering wheel felt like it locked-up. I managed to exit off the freeway and the car came to a stop. The car would not restart. A tow was called to take to the nearest dealership. In August 2025, this happened and we were told it was a bad AUX battery and it was replaced. Now we are told it is the PDC that is causing the issue.

My 2024 Jeep Wagoneer L with the 3.0L Hurricane engine began experiencing drivability and warning-light failures at very low mileage and within the first year of ownership. The vehicle was purchased new in October 2024 and experienced its first major drivability/towing event at approximately 10,372 miles. Over the following months, the vehicle experienced repeated check engine light events, shaking, sputtering, hard starting, loss of throttle responsiveness, drivetrain hesitation, and multiple towing incidents despite repeated dealership repair attempts. The most severe safety event occurred in May 2026 at approximately 18,850 miles while traveling on the interstate with my family and young children. Prior to this event, a Florida Jeep dealership documented diagnostic codes P21A0 (Cylinder 5 Air/Fuel Ratio Imbalance) and P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) and specifically documented in writing that “the #5 fuel injector is causing the fault” and likely damaged the catalytic converter. Despite this, we were advised the vehicle should be safe to drive home. While driving on the highway the following day, the check engine light began flashing and audibly beeping continuously, the vehicle began shaking aggressively, and acceleration responsiveness deteriorated significantly while traveling at highway speeds. This vehicle engine overheated. Leading up to the engine overheating event, there was an instance where the vehicle was driven for a mile or two and the air conditioning seemed to not be cooling. The vehicle was turned off for a few hours and restarted and the air conditioning appeared to work. However, the next day, the engine overheated. All repairs associated with this event were completed under warranty at no cost to the customer however, this is the 2nd Wagoneer we own and the other one had similar issues.

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wagoneer (Base Model) The vehicle has experienced ongoing and progressively worsening engine performance failures, specifically involving unstable RPM behavior and loss of power during idle and re-acceleration from idle. These defects have been present on multiple occasions and occur under normal operating conditions. While stopped at traffic signals or intersections, the vehicle frequently exhibits sudden and erratic RPM fluctuations, followed by a sharp drop in engine speed resulting in complete engine shutdown. These shutdown events have occurred both while the vehicle is in Park and while actively positioned in traffic, creating a hazardous condition. In several instances, the engine stalled unexpectedly while the vehicle was stopped at a red light, requiring an immediate restart in an active traffic environment. In addition, when transitioning from an idle state to acceleration, the vehicle has demonstrated abrupt surging and jerking behavior, causing sudden forward movement. This creates a significant risk of unintended acceleration and near-collision events, particularly in congested traffic conditions or when stopped closely behind another vehicle. The vehicle was presented to an authorized Jeep dealership for inspection. The dealership advised that no diagnostic fault codes were present and no defect could be identified. However, during the dealer’s evaluation, the vehicle did stall while being allowed to roll into the service bay in an idle state,

I am reporting a serious and unresolved safety defect involving a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II 4x4 (VIN: [XXX] ) with approximately 34,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced repeated power steering warnings and functionality issues, and on multiple occasions (approximately three incidents) has unexpectedly shifted itself into park while actively driving. These incidents have occurred since Fall 2025 and continued in January 2026 and now March 2026, demonstrating the issue is ongoing and recurring. The vehicle was in the dealership for over three weeks between January and February 2026, at which time a repair was confirmed before the most recent occurrence. Despite ongoing repairs, the issue has not been resolved and no permanent repair path has been identified. The vehicle is currently back at the dealership with no confirmed resolution. The most recent incident occurred on 3/18 when the vehicle shifted into park while in motion, requiring a restart in the roadway. Shortly after arriving at my destination, the battery died and the vehicle became inoperable and required towing. The combination of electrical issues, including power steering warnings and a dead battery, along with the vehicle unexpectedly shifting into park, creates a significant and unpredictable loss of drivability and presents a serious safety risk. When driving, I attempted to adjust the sun visor and the part of the visor that goes into the roof broke causing the visor to fall into my field of vision. The visor then wouldn’t stay put in either direction and just continued to hang down in the field of vision of the driver.
