Defect. THE SENSOR'S PLASTIC CASE MATERIAL CAN LEAK ALLOWING THE SENSOR TO SHUT OFF THE ENGINE UNEXPECTEDLY DURING ABRUPT TURNS OR WHEN RIDING OVER BUMPY SURFACES.
Risk. SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE POWER, ESPECIALLY WHILE TURNING, CAN CAUSE A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE BANK ANGLE SENSOR.
