Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.

Risk. A detached emblem can become a projectile during air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the driver’s airbag cover. Owner letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall are PC944, PC945, and PC946.

Defect. NISSAN IS RECALLING MODEL YEAR 2008 NISSAN ARMADA AND INFINITI QX56 VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 7, 2007 THROUGH FEBRUARY 14, 2007. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 201, "PROTECTION IN INTERIOR IMPACT." AN OUT-OF-SPECIFICATION A-PILLAR FINISHER MIGHT IMPEDE THE CORRECT INFLATION OF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG NEAR THE UPPER PORTION OF THE B-PILLAR.

Risk. INCORRECT INFLATION OF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY TO A VEHICLE OCCUPANT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH REQUIRING DEPLOYMENT OF THAT AIR BAG.

NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN FRONT AND REAR LOWER LINKS, P/NOS. 54501ZQ00A, 54500ZQ00A, 551A1ZQ00A, 551A0ZQ00A , 54501EA00A, 54500EA00A, 551A1EA500, 551A0EA500, 54501ZR00A, AND 54500ZR00A, SOLD BETWEEN NOVEMBER 25, 2009 AND MAY 14, 2010 AS REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MODEL YEAR 2004 THROUGH 2010 TITAN, ARMADA, AND QX56, AND MODEL YEARS 2005 THROUGH 2010 FRONTIER, XTERRA, AND PATHFINDER VEHICLES. THE LOWER CONTROL LINK ASSEMBLY HAS TWO CYLINDRICAL COLLARS FORMING THE INBOARD ATTACHMENT POINTS TO THE CHASSIS. DUE TO AN IMPROPER WELDING PROCESS SOME COLLARS MAY CONTAIN WELDS THAT DO NOT MEET STRENGTH SPECIFICATIONS.

Risk. IF THE COLLAR WELD SEPARATES, THE VEHICLE HANDLING WILL DETERIORATE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Risk. THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL ON THE HIGHWAY, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH.

Defect. NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 TITAN, ARMADA, AND INFINITI QX56, AND MODEL YEAR 2008-2009 NISSAN QUEST VEHICLES. THE BRAKE PEDAL PIVOT PIN END WAS NOT SPIN-FORMED TO SPECIFICATION DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. THE PIVOT PIN COULD SLIDE AND CAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO PARTIALLY DISENGAGE FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL BRACKET.

Risk. THE DRIVER WILL EXPERIENCE UNUSUAL AND NOTICEABLE LOOSENESS IN THE PEDAL AND A REDUCTION IN BRAKING FORCE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSPECT TO SEE IF THE PIVOT PIN HAD BEEN FORMED PROPERLY AND WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 22, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

Defect. NISSAN IS RECALLING 1,126 MY 2008 QUEST, TITAN AND ARMADA VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL ADJUSTMENT FRONT SEATS. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." THE SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED OUT OF SPECIFICATION.

Risk. THIS MAY RESULT IN THE MANUAL SEAT PAWL NOT FULLY ENGAGING INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURIES IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.

Defect. CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 210, 'SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY ANCHORAGES.' THE DRIVER'S SIDE THIRD ROW SEAT BELT UPPER ANCHOR BRACKET MAY BE CRACKED.

Risk. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, A SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.

I made an appointment with the dealership peoria nissan for 8:15am on the morning of 4/18/26. I confirmed the recall and brought the vehicle in early they received it told me it should be done by lunch. At 3:45 pm they messaged me it was all done and ready to go. I called and questioned them as to whether or not the airbag needed to be replaced, where they admitted they actually didnt do anything. They started to work on it, realized they wouldnt have time and put it back together. The keys would be at the front desk at sales they were going home. I went down and asked about a rental as the vehicle had a dangerous recall (I had just purchased the vehicle used) they said service is closed go ahead and drive it home and set another appointment and try again. Not only did they lie originally by stating it was all done and ready to go in hopes I wouldnt ask about the airbag. They then insisted I drive it home knowing it was a danger to my family and myself.

No brake lights.

My son & I took the car out two days after I bought it. Wanted to see how things looked at night. I took an unfamiliar rd ,( why,I dont know) Enjoying the ride and all the dash lights and bright headlights. Coming up to what appeared to be a slight downhill, curved rd, The car suddenly would not let me steer or brake or, What the heck! I thought its broken and we are going to crash in the trees! Realizing the car shut itself off,im asking, ok yelling at my son, what do I do??? IT took all I had to try & stay calm, and drive like , back when. (No power steering,)but not sure what to do about brakes. Thank God, I had made that corner ok and as rd leveled, I was slowing enough to pull out of the way of the guy behind me in such a hurry. Pulling to the curb, slowly using ebrake, I stopped finally. Took me a good half hour to stop shaking to get out & let my son have a look. Gas tank still full, as it was a few weeks earlier when we test drove. He tried to start , the engine tried to start but just wouldn't cooperate. Didn't know what to look for under hood. So called a friend who thank goodness found us, bringing a battery, tow hook & gas. Hooked up battery charger, poured a little gas, stood out there freezing till they went to try & start & his magic worked. Started up and was on our way. No problem the rest of the night. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUEL GAUGE IS INACCURATELY DISPLAYING THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SOME FUEL, TYPICALLY ABOUT ONE QUARTER TANK, WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS EMPTY. It is the same as the recall for Nissan Armada’s with other VIN numbers, however it doesn’t cover mine, despite matching the year of manufacture, description, and diagnosis of issue. I am asking that the VIN numbers be updated to include mine. Also, under the “status” panel of my electronic display, it’s shows 70-80~ miles left of driving range before running out of fuel.

For the past couple of years my 2008 Nissan Armada has been giving me issues with the gas gauge not reading accurately, it has progressed over time. It started out happening around a quarter of a tank with anywhere from 25 to 60 miles to empty according to the reading on the screen display. There has been no warning of running out of gas, it just happens while driving, the vehicle starts to shut down & the steering wheel eventually locks up, I do not have very long to find a driveway or parking lot to coast into before the vehicle completely shuts down. Over time it has happened at different intervals indicating I still have gas according to the gauge & the screen display, one time it showed as much as 147 miles to empty. My husband & I researched what may need to be checked or replaced to remedy the issue, everything led to changing the fuel pump which we did in August 2022. Within a few days it started happening again, at that time we had a mechanic look at my vehicle, they figured out that the fuel pump was missing a cap on the end of it, they replaced it. After about 4-6 months or so it started happening again, at that time we brought it back to the same mechanic to assess. After keeping it for 4 days, they decided that "the fuel pump must be bad & needs to be changed, sometimes fuel pumps just go bad". After paying over $700.00 to replace the fuel pump again (March 2023), it lasted about 2 weeks & happened again! There was a recall back in 2010 I believe for the fuel sen

The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Armada. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, she heard a knocking sound coming from the vehicle and the air bag warning light was blinking. Additionally, the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed and the spiral cable and horn were replaced. The mechanic also stated that the fuel tank and fuel sensor needed to be replaced however, the vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 144,000.

While driving, the unit that houses the TV and stereo and air vents (center console on roof) decided to break and fall on my child who was in her car seat, almost resulting in me crashing my vehicle. This is a hazard alone. Due to the poor design of this center console, there is no way to repair this piece. It has to be replaced with the same faulty piece, which will eventually break again due to it not being able to sustain the weight. This happened to me at about 78,000 miles. I had to remove the center console.

The fuel system failed while I was driving in traffic. The vehicle shutoff and would not restart. Safety is was in flowing traffic my vehicle all of sudden stopped forward motion. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. The check engine and battery light came on. I do not recall the other indicators. My fuel gauge was showing a needles width of 1/4 tank when this happened. I bought a gas can and went to the closest gas station for fuel. I put two gallons in and the vehicle started up.

The gauge can indicate that the vehicle has 1/2 tank of gas 153miles remaining until empty when in fact the tank is nearly empty. While driving on highway my 2 children, my daughter friend and myself the vehicle began to drag, I was like oh my God it feels like it's going to cut off. I immediately had a anxiety attack trying to figure out what was happening because no warning lights came on in which had me panic even more. I tried to calm down and get off to side of roadway at least before it did shut off. As soon as I started to drive off to side it shut off I tried to give it gas nothing and the steering wheel had tighten up(no power)so now we was rolling and I'm trying my hardest to steer so we wouldn't hit anything. It was the most scariest moment of my life and my life flashed in front of me and praying no trucks came flying. I proceeded to call AAA they asked my location and if we was in a safe area, did it run out of gas, etc.... They said they will dispatch a tow truck and also tell them to being gas just in case. I said it's by 1/2 tank and say it's 153 miles til empty, they said sometimes those gauge don't work, I said the digital fuel as well would be off. Well the tow truck came check fluids, batteries and nothing was wrong he put the gas and it started. This is very dangerous for this gauge to be broken and not operating correctly because it just shut off and had me and my children and friend was in a deadly accident due to a [XXX] malfunction from a defaulted ga

Brought my 2008 Nissan Armada to my dealer for an alignment ahead of a road trip with my family. Was told the vehicle is not safe to drive. The frame was rotted and cracked, and that the rear wheels have shifted. This condition is completely hidden unless on a lift. I have owned this vehicle since new.

WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION DURING HIGHWAY TRAVEL AND CITY TRAVEL BRAKE LIGHT ON THE CONTROL PANEL WILL COME RANDOMLY COME ON. WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AFTER LIGHT HAS ILLUMINATED THERE WILL BE SEVERE VIBRATION AND GRINDING WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKES. THIS BEHAVIOR IN THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE IGNITION HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND THEN RESTARTED WHICH SEEMS TO RESET THE BRAKES, DISCONTINUE THE LIGHT AND RESUMES NORMAL OPERATION. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE LIGHT HAS COME ON WHILE VEHICLE IS PARKED BUT STILL RUNNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES.

THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS STAYING ON. NO CODES READ THIS PROBLEM. IF THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING THE AIRBAG DASH LIGHT REMAINS ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT ON.

THE BRAKE LIGHT ON THE CONTROL PANEL LIGHTS UP AND WHEN STEPPING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE DOES NOT BRAKE, INSTEAD IS FEELS LIKE IT'S SKIDDING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I HAVE TO SLOWLY TRY TO PULL OVER AND COME TO A STOP TO THEN TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. WHEN I RESTART THE VEHICLE IS IT USUALLY STARTS PERFORMING NORMALLY AGAIN AND THE BRAKES WORK FINE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME DUE TO THE FACT THAT I NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN. WHAT IF IT HAPPENS WHILE I NEED TO COME TO A QUICK EMERGENCY STOP?! THANKFULLY I AM A SAFE DRIVER AND ALWAYS DRIVE WITHIN THE SPEED LIMITS WHICH HELPS ME BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP QUICKER.

FUEL GAUGE AND MILES TO GO ARE BOTH INCORRECT. I'VE THIS VEHICLE ALMOST 2 YEARS! THE MILES TO GO MAY SHOW ANYWHERE FROM 40 TO ESTIMATED 100 THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR DIES. I LOSE ALL CONTROL OF STEERING, BRAKES, FLASHER DOES NOT WORK. EVERY TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED I'VE NEARLY GOTTEN HIT AND OF COURSE STRANDED UNTIL SOMEONE CAN HELP ME. I WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS SAME ISSUE IN 2010 BUT IT EXPIRED! THIS ISSUE IS REALLY DANGEROUS AND WHETHER OR NOT RECALL IS EXPIRED, I'M NOT GONNA BE SO LUCKY IN THE END! SEVERAL INDICATOR LIGHTS HAVE COME ON: ABS, VDC, SLIP, ETC. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP HAS ATTRIBUTED THE ISSUE TO THE ABS ACTUATOR. THIS, ACCORDING TO MANY NISSAN OWNERS, IS AN ISSUE WITH THE ARMADA BETWEEN 2004 AND 2010. OUTSIDE OF THE INDICATOR LIGHTS, I DO NOT HAVE A MECHANICAL ISSUE THAT OTHERS HAVE REPORTED. HOWEVER, THE DESCRIPTIONS OF UNINTENDED BRAKING AS DESCRIBED BY OTHER ARMADA OWNERS IS DISCONCERTING. NISSAN HAS BEEN ISSUED A RECALL REGARDING PASSENGER CARS FROM 2016-2018 WITH ABS ACTUATOR ISSUES. THERE IS A HISTORY OF A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS SYSTEMS FOR THE COMPANY.

WHILE DRIVING THE BRAKE LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE AND THE BRAKES WILL FAIL WHILE BEING PRESSED. WHEN THE THE LIGHT COMES ON THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILS TO OPERATE AND THE WHILE WILL NOT STOP. THERE WAS A LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST NISSAN BACK IN 2014 FOR A DELTA STOKE SENSOR WHICH IS WHAT NISSAN CALLS THE BRAKE BOOSTER. WHEN I LOOKED UP MY VEHICLE WITH NISSAN NO RECALL WAS ISSUED YET MY VEHICLE FALLS WITHIN THE SAME YEAR. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO.

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING MY CHILDREN ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55MPH AND THE 'BRAKE' ICON SUDDENLY FLASHED RED ON THE DASH. MY WIFE ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND THEY DID NOT FUNCTION OR RESPOND OTHER THAN BY MAKING A GRINDING NOISE. THE PEDAL WAS ABLE TO GO TO THE FLOOR BUT WITH NO BRAKING ACCOMPLISHED. TO STOP THE VEHICLE SHE HAD TO DOWNSHIFT AND LET IT COAST TO A STOP IN A PARKING LOT THAT WAS FORTUNATELY ON HER PATH OF TRAVEL. THERE ARE NO LEAKS IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND THE NEARBY NISSAN DEALERSHIP SAID IT HAD THROWN A C1179 CODE FOR A BRAKE BOOSTER SENSOR. TURNS OUT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE MODELS AND NISSAN LOST A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ABOUT THE ISSUE IN CALIFORNIA IN 2014. SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS HAVE REPORTED THE EXACT SAME SCENARIO ON VARIOUS NISSAN FORUMS. IT IS A WONDER MY WIFE AND CHILDREN WERE NOT IN AN ACCIDENT.
