“I started getting random "service hybrid electrical system" warnings. The warning would come up and go away after approximately 5 seconds. On 2/5/25 I was on the highway going about 65mph when this warning light came on and I lost power. I still had power steering and brakes, but no acceleration. I was in the middle lane during rush hour, trying to coast over to the shoulder.”

“On 12/28/24 we dropped the vehicle off for a check engine light issue + the 95B recall fix. It was discharged on 12/31/24. On 1/9/25 the vehicle lost all power while flashing the red wrech lightning bolt symbol. I had to coast to a stop (I had been exiting the interstate) and had to drive into a pile of recently plowed snow to avoid being rear ended. The vehicle put on the parking brake and the engine had shut off.”

The vehicle is displaying "service hybrid system" when driving at highway speeds. We have been told by the service center that this is just a code b273c-00, an error with the airbag system, and we should not worry about this since it is a computer glitch. I have confirmed with the service advisor that it is now impossible to distinguish a real hybrid system malfunction from a "fake" airbag system warning. I am told that the vehicle is safe to drive and nothing requires repair, however, Jeep star publication case S2408000063 states there is a fix, but it is only to be used to "mitigate buyback." That is unacceptable and needs to be remedied as soon as possible.

While driving on the highway, I heard a loud POP coming from the roof of my vehicle. I have a panoramic sunroof. I then pulled over and saw that my sunroof had shattered. They stated they were not responsible for anything and did not even care what I had to say.

This vehicle has a nonstop history of unresolved electrical issues cause numerous warnings of failed systems, failure to start and randomly going into "Limp mode". It has been to the Jeep service shop 7 times so far. Recently, the vehicle completely shut down and lost all power while driving at speeds higher than 50 mph on 2 separate occasions. On February 2nd 2025 the vehicle lost power on the freeway at 80 mph. I swerved into the left shoulder to prevent an accident. vehicle was towed to Jeep service center, a software upgrade was performed and returned to me as presumed "fixed" by Jeep. On February 25, 2025 the vehicle again lost all power while driving down a highway at 50 mph. Again, forcing me to swerve off the road onto the right shoulder to avoid an accident. Vehicle again was towed to a Jeep service center where it remains.

While driving on the freeway, the vehicle turned off. No engine, no electric, no headlights. I had to coast to the side during traffic. The mechanic is replacing the OCR module, stating the car thought it was in a collision and turned off. Though obviously it wasn’t. Before which, the screen flashes off from time to time. The car has had loss of power for a moment in the past but never all the way off. This was extremely dangerous and I’m concerned the OCR will not fix the issue. It is with the dealership now.

I started getting random "service hybrid electrical system" warnings. The warning would come up and go away after approximately 5 seconds. On 2/5/25 I was on the highway going about 65mph when this warning light came on and I lost power. I still had power steering and brakes, but no acceleration. I was in the middle lane during rush hour, trying to coast over to the shoulder. Luckily I was able to make it without causing an accident. I put the vehicle in park and was able to restart. This happened a second time, but luckily I had just parked and was idling. Obviously, this is a very scary, dangerous situation for a vehicle to suddenly lose power anytime let alone when on a very busy highway. The vehicle is currently at the Jeep dealer, but I have read that this is a very common problem with the Jeep hybrids and does not sound like Jeep has figured out the root cause.

I was driving in hybrid mode at approximately 50 mph gently accelerating up a gentle hill. All of a sudden, the vehicle lost a significant amount of its motive power and experienced a significant shudder. The power delivery to the vehicle was significantly reduced for 2-3 seconds, puting myself and family at significant risk. The red service hybrid system light lit up on the dashboard and blinked for approximately 5 seconds. The vehicle then returned to normal operation. I took the vehicle to the Jeep dealership the next day and they were not able to find any associated error codes or replicate the issue.

On 12/28/24 we dropped the vehicle off for a check engine light issue + the 95B recall fix. It was discharged on 12/31/24. On 1/9/25 the vehicle lost all power while flashing the red wrech lightning bolt symbol. I had to coast to a stop (I had been exiting the interstate) and had to drive into a pile of recently plowed snow to avoid being rear ended. The vehicle put on the parking brake and the engine had shut off. I turned on the engine after a few moments and it worked fine and I was able to drive it straight to the dealership (2 miles away.) They kept the vehicle for 2 days and could not get the issue to happen again, however they said they re-did the 95B recall and seemed confused about it having been done a few weeks prior. Today on 1/15/25 while driving on the interstate at about 65mph the issue happened again and I had to quickly pull off on the shoulder. The dealership told me to record the issue, but that's impossible while trying to steer it with zero power on the interstate. The same lights flashed (red wrench lightning bolt) and it shut down. Upon restarting it worked as expected. I do not feel safe driving it anymore. The dealership cannot find the issue and I don't want my kids in the vehicle on the off chance I cannot get over, or someone is driving offensivly around me. Event occurred within 2 days and 50 miles of recall 95B service being performed on 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe showing passing results. After startup of the vehicle and being placed into 'electric' only drive mode and DRIVE engaged, the vehicle traveled down the driveway approximately 10 feet when the vehicle juddered, the driver display showed an error message "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System", a red wrench icon appeared in the dashboard/instrument cluster, and the vehicle automatically switch into 'hybrid' drive mode and started the gasoline motor. The vehicle was turned off, then restarted. Upon restart the error message was not visible and the red wrench icon was gone. Vehicle was then able to be operated in full electric drive mode. My safety was at risk because if the sudden juddering and loss of power occurred at speed on the general roadway instead of in my driveway I could have lost control of the vehicle and crashed. I do not know if this has been reproduced by the dealership but I have heard anecdotally about other 4xe drivers having this same issue immediately after the 95B recall service was performed. The vehicle is scheduled for inspection with a Jeep dealership on 1/21/25

They omitted the charging requirements and skipped the drive cycle test as required in the safety recall instructions. I do not feel this recall was completed accurately and could put me at risk of fire if I attempt to charge the vehicle. The dealer just says they completed the recall. I would like to register a formal complaint for the timing its taking to get the open recall resolved on this vehicle. NHTSA Recall Number24V-720. Due to this issue, I am unable to leverage the hybrid/electric features of my vehicle which is costly me more money in fuel costs. Where I previously filled my tank approximately every 3 months, i now have to do it weekly. I have read online that estimates are taking another 4-5 months before resolution. That is unacceptable solution to an existing problem. This is not a great experience for a first time hybrid buyer who is trying to adopt the new technology. When I purchased my vehicle, i influenced two friends to also purchase one. I would have not made this recommendation had I known open recall issues will not be resolved in a timely manner. Lastly, now i have the concern of parking the vehicle in my garage which could result in losing my entire household and its contents. This is unreal to me.

I WOULD LIKE TO GET A TIME FRAME OF WHEN THIS MAY BE FIXED OR GET A REPLACEMENT CAR UNTIL THEN IF POSSIBLE. Dealer and Jeep have refused to provide a reasonable effort and make reasonable accommodations to address the 95B recall. Parking the vehicle outside endangers my neighborhood as we live near a national forest.

The battery was recalled due to fire risk, but FSA indicated no repairs is available, and advised driver not to charge the car, and not to park it near any structural. I contacted (1) dealer (2) Chrysler capital (3) Jeep customer service. No body can provide any solution for this matter. I would like to have my leased car returned and get compensated for the months that I have already pre-paid (20 months left).

I received notice regarding the recall for this Hybrid vehicle being unsafe to charge and use the electric portion due to the risk of fire. I am also not to park near any structures because of the risk of fire. There is still no fix for this recall, when I attempted to have fix, told there was no fix, then inquired to trade in, I was offered a 2024 grand cherokee hybrid that has the same recall as my current vehicle and no other remedy.

Jeep app has failed to inform me of recalls in a timely manner. The Gas Buddy app linked to my vehicle VIN provided information within 24 hours of your published recall. I have checked my VIN in your app to verify that it is part of the recall. Since the battery fires can start without notice and could destroy my house and kill my family this should have been immediately sent via the Jeep app. The recall notification on the Jeep app has not been updated since 2 August 2024, also unacceptable - this should be updated at worst weekly. Sending notification by snail mail is not acceptable in the 21st century especially when there is an app and the vehicle has internet connection. The recall should also be announced on the start screen when I start my vehicle.

Multiple instances where car will not start. Often lights flicker, get a service charging system notice, get a hybrid system offline, get a check engine light, then car battery shuts off and its dead. Has had to be towed to dealership and left me stranded multiple times.

Hybrid powertrain control buttons are not visible, hidden behind steering wheel and turn signal switch. There are 4 buttons of similar shape and size in a single bezel - 3 control the hybrid mode and the other opens the fuel door. The is no tactile identification for the switches. Must take your eyes off the road and look under the steering wheel and turn signal switch to change hybrid mode. These modes need to be visible from the driver’s normal seating position.

Driving down a road at 50mph during daylight hours. It was sprinkling and vehicle was in electric mode. There were no cars in front of me, or behind me at the time. While my foot was on the accelerator, there was a loss of power then collision warning engaged out of nowhere with the audible beeps, flashing on the instrument cluster, and sharp braking. The incident was brief, but certainly a safety hazard as there were no indications the automated emergency braking was going to occur.

The vehicle has intermittent issues whereby it will flash several icons (a Turtle, lightning bolt) and send a error message about throttling, then completely shut down during operation. This has been ongoing since a few months after I received the vehicle. During shut down, the vehicle's power is completely unresponsive, I cannot use gas power to drive the car, it simply becomes unresponsive and non-operational. These shut downs have occurred while idling at traffic lights, while driving at low speeds on residential roads and, the past 4 experienced shut downs, on the highway. [XXX] ; [XXX] MA, [XXX], and [XXX]). These shut downs have occurred with my 7-year old in the car, causing a significant safety risk to everyone in the vehicle. The dealer has received several reports from me (which they will not document), and it has been in for repair on a minimum of 5 occasions. Each time, with one exception, the service team tells me "the codes are gone" and they can't do anything. On one occasion, the care shut down on [XXX] and I drove immediately to the dealership, whereby they reported the issued as related to the "MAP" and fixed. It is not. The car has been recalled for this exact issue, and went in for the repair, which did not fix it. The safety risk of this vehicle is far beyond acceptable, my family is at risk every time I need to drive it. I should be able to have safe use of the car I have paid a significant amount of money for. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDO

I bought a LS2 motorcycle Helmet in a local shop on 06/26/24 to be a passenger on a motorcycle ride. While removing the lining and installing a communication system I discovered the foam was cracked on the posterior area of the helmet. The edges of the polystyrene were uneven. The local shop has a NO return NO exchange policy for helmets. I returned the very next day and showed the findings to the salesperson. The helmet was broken, and I did not feel safe to use it. They took the helmet. On 07/20/24 I picked up a replacement helmet. Same brand. The salesperson stated that they contacted the manufacture company and the manufacture company concluded that I broke the helmet trying to forcefully remove the polystyrene foam, which I did not. I know the integrity of the helmet is what makes it safe. The salesperson handled me the replacement helmet and stated that she personally reviewed the helmet, and it was intact. I did not review the helmet at the shop with her before I left. After I left the shop, I checked the helmet and found the same crack on the posterior part of the foam. This time the crack does not compromise the edges of the polystyrene, like the crack on the first helmet. The safety of the helmet may not be compromised in terms of absorbing deceleration forces, but I do not feel safe to use it. I bought a different brand helmet online. The foam is not intact in 2 new helmets. I have the replacement helmet for inspection and photos of the first helmet. My safety woul

For our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4Xe: Vehicle failed to accelerate. The engine would kind of rev but no forward motion. This occurred after driving approximately 2 miles from my house. i had just made a right turn at a busy intersection and driven approximately 100 yards when the car would not accelerate. This occurred on a very busy street. Luckily, I was able to coast to the side of the road. After shutting the car off and starting it again, it was able to again accelerate. This was scary as my wife and daughter were in the car. It has not yet been reproduced by a dealer. There were no warning lights or messages. This seems familiar to a recall that is issued for same year Jeep Wrangler 4Xe models.

There have now been at least three incidents where the accelerator is pressed and the vehicle does not respond for an extended period of time, then overreacts and launches the vehicle forward unpredictably. Most recently, leaving a parking lot, I pressed the accelerator gently as I normally would, the vehicle just rolled down to the road, no power. As oncoming traffic was coming (now about 5 seconds later), I pressed the pedal further, almost to the floor, the engine engaged and launched the car forward. This has happened in traffic circles, and produces a delay long enough for other drivers to sound their horn, as my vehicle refuses to move for at least 3-5 seconds. This has resulted in many close calls when oncoming traffic is coming and my vehicle will not move as it should - and this type of incident occurs unpredictably.

Engine got really loud but idled would got shift out of 1st gear. Happened why accelerating after stopping. Traffic was moving at 45 -55 miles past me. And I was unable to pull over. I got to the next red light. Put the vehicle in park then back into drive and was able to drive to the closest dealer. They found no trouble codes when plugging into the computer. The vehicle has not been inspected by a mechanic or scheduled . I am waiting for an appointment confirmation in July. Not warning lights are messages display on the dash when the problem occurs. The loud engine and failure to shift into gear are the only symptoms
While making a protected left turn at a traffic control signal, with oncoming traffic also turning left at the same time, the automatic emergency braking engaged. I was unable to override the AEB, and the vehicle came to a sudden, complete stop halfway through the turn. The vehicle behind almost impacted my vehicle due to the erroneous braking.

Reading this record
No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Recall repairs are free for as long as the recall stands. Check whether a specific car still has open work at NHTSA's VIN lookup.
