I am reporting a serious safety issue involving a 2023 Hyundai Palisade with approximately 26,000 miles. While the vehicle is being driven, the ESC warning light illuminates and the vehicle can unexpectedly come to a stop, shift into Park, and shut down. The vehicle must then be restarted before it can be driven again. This condition has occurred while the vehicle is in operation and creates a significant safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly stop in the roadway. If this occurs in traffic or at highway speeds, there is a risk of a rear-end collision or other crash. The vehicle has been presented to/communicated about with an authorized Hyundai dealership, ALM Hyundai Florence in Florence, South Carolina, but the issue has not been resolved. I am also reporting the issue directly to Hyundai Motor America. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this condition to determine whether other 2023 Hyundai Palisade vehicles have experienced similar ESC-related shutdown, stopping, or unintended shifting-to-Park events and whether a safety defect may exist.

I am reporting an unresolved safety issue involving the seat belt buckle recall on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade (NHTSA Recall 25V-607 / Hyundai Campaign 283). For several months, I have repeatedly contacted Hyundai Myrtle Beach attempting to have the recall repair completed. I do not have the exact dates of every telephone call, but there have been multiple attempts. I was repeatedly advised that the necessary replacement parts were unavailable. The situation is particularly concerning because the front passenger seat belt is now not functioning properly. This is no longer only a potential recall-related safety concern; there is currently a seating position in my vehicle where the seat belt cannot be relied upon to function properly. I transport my children in this vehicle and am concerned about their safety. After repeated unsuccessful attempts through the dealership, I escalated the matter to Hyundai Consumer Affairs. Consumer Affairs arranged an appointment several weeks in advance for September 1, 2026, at Hyundai Myrtle Beach. My Consumer Affairs representative confirmed that the recall repair would be performed at this appointment. I drove to the dealership for the scheduled appointment expecting the vehicle to be repaired. Upon arrival, I was informed that the dealership did not have the replacement seat belt parts and could not perform the repair. Despite repeated attempts through both the dealership and Hyundai Consumer Affairs, the recall remains unrepaired and the fron

The engine shuts off to accessory mode when the car is parked or idle for more than 1 minute or so, and the “engine auto” is turned off (light illuminated)— this is our observed correlation. To clarify, the engine auto is automatically turned on when the car starts— the engine will automatically turn off for a short period of time and restart on its own. When the “engine auto” button is illuminated, and this issue occurs, the engine does not restart on its own, the cluster lights illuminate, air conditioner stops and the car must be restarted (foot on brake and push engine start button) to resume driving. This can happen several times in one day and often takes place if the vehicle is parked or idle— while in highway traffic, at a traffic light or stop sign included. My safety and the safety of my children and other passengers is at risk each time this takes place. We have impeded the flow of traffic on several occasions. Just today, 8/30/26 the auto start light in the cluster blinked 7 or 8 times when the engine turned back on automatically— this time, the engine auto button was not pressed (light was off).

Recall number 25V607000 for my 2023 Hyundai Palisade has been in effect for one year and the dealerships continue to state they do not have the parts to correct this recall. This is a safety issue because it involves seat belts. I have contacted the manufacturer for assistance but this has not resulted in resolution of this issue. I find it totally unacceptable for there to be a safety recall on a vehicle for one year with no resolution for car owners that put us and our passengers in danger. This is very serious and I need help to resolve this to get the manufacturer and the dealer to resolve this safety issue.

Recall # 26V034000 for my 2023 Hyundai Palisade has not been resolved after 9 months since it was issued. Dealership all say they do not have the parts to remedy this recall. I have made repeated attempts to get this issue resolved and I have contacted the manufacturer for assistance but they have not resolved the issue. I get the run around. The dealership say they do not have the parts the manufactures says that the dealerships should have the parts. I find it totally unacceptable that the dealerships cannot resolve this serious safety issue. It is a critical safety issue that should be resolved.

On June 27, 2026 I started the vehicle and every warning light came on and the gauge cluster started cycling through system failure warnings for most every component/system on the vehicle. The vehicle was barely drivable, with no power steering, no backup camera, no AC, inoperable gauges, no safety/driver aids, and hard shifting. It was taken to Bentley Hyundai in Huntsville the same day. The vehicle was diagnosed with a CANBUS failure and after weeks of troubleshooting they said it was a bad engine wiring harness. The new harness was installed under our extended factory warranty this week. I was informed today, August 29, 2026, that there are still electrical issues with the vehicle. I am concerned about the safety of this vehicle now due to the length of time it has been at the dealership, 60+ days, and continuing issues even after replacement of a major component of the electrical system.

I am writing to file a formal complaint XXX regarding a severe safety defect on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade. On XXX, in [XXX] while driving under normal operating conditions, the sunroof glass spontaneously exploded with a loud noise resembling a gunshot. There was no vehicle ahead of me, no overpass overhead, and absolutely no external object or road debris struck the vehicle. The glass shattered violently upward and outward, which is a clear physical indicator of a spontaneous thermal or pressure-induced failure caused by a manufacturing defect, rather than an impact. As you are aware, spontaneous sunroof shattering is a heavily documented issue across 2023 and 2024 Hyundai Palisade models. Numerous identical complaints have been filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), pointing to a known defect in the tempering or structural stress of the panoramic glass panels. I have attached photos and a video of it still making sounds in the photo, you can also tell it is bubbling upward. This vehicle is well within its 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. This failure represents a severe, sudden compromise of passenger safety, and I expect Hyundai to honor its warranty obligations. I demand that Hyundai Motor America authorize a full replacement of the sunroof glass, a thorough cleaning of the headliner/cabin to remove microscopic glass shards, and a complimentary loaner vehicle while the repair is being completed. I look forward to your

On August 4, 2026, our 2023 Hyundai Palisade was brought in for a routine oil change and rear tint recall. The driver's power seat height adjustment mechanism worked perfectly upon drop-off. When the car was picked up, the height adjustment function was no longer operable. The service department inspected the car and admitted that a factory wire bundle beneath the track was physically snapped/severed. To make matters worse, we discovered upon pickup that the vehicle's computer system had been completely factory reset. This was done without our knowledge or consent. When questioned about this, the service manager was entirely unable to provide any valid justification for why an oil change/rear window tint service would require a total system reset. This strongly indicates that service person experienced an electrical short or attempted deep electronic troubleshooting while the vehicle was in their possession, further implicating their shop in this damage. The service manager insists that their team did not cause the damage. However, they were unable to return the seat to the position it was in when dropped off. The primary driver of this vehicle is under 5 feet tall. Because Hyundai returned the car with the seat locked at its lowest setting and was unable to raise it, the primary driver cannot safely maintain visibility over the dashboard. She had to adjust the steering wheel to its lowest setting in order to operate the vehicle. The current configuration is not the ideal, no

Following a recall repair on the rear seatbelt assembly of a 2023 Hyundai Palisade, a severe safety design defect was discovered. The replacement buckle installed by the dealer lacks proper flexibility and clearance. Consequently, when the second-row seats are folded down, the seat frame directly crushes and structurally damages the rigid plastic buckle, as the component cannot clear its designated protective slot. This issue presents an extreme safety risk. The second-row seatbelt buckle is now cracked, crushed, and structurally compromised, rendering the restraint system unsafe and unusable for rear-seat passengers, including my young children. In the event of a collision, a structurally damaged buckle could fail to hold, leading to severe injury or ejection. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to failure; the damage was only discovered after folding the second-row seats down. The failure is 100% reproducible every time the seat is folded due to the geometry and lack of movement in the installed recall component. The vehicle was brought to an authorized dealership service center, where the damaged component was physically present and inspected. While the dealer confirmed the buckle is physically crushed and left the service order open, both the dealership and manufacturer customer support have refused to correct the installation or replace the damaged safety part under warranty, falsely claiming normal wear and tear. The vehicle is available for immediate inspecti

My seat buckles have been on recall since last year and they still have not fixed them. I have been to the dealership capital Hyundai in Greensboro, NC multiple times to try and get them fixed. They told me in January that it would be fixed in February. I am concerned to drive my car with my kids if they are not latching properly.

I have had 4 appointments for my 2023 Hyundai Palisade to have the recall on the seat belt buckles addressed. Each time, I am told by the dealership that Hyundai hasn't sent the part yet. I was told that Hyundai is only sending 10-15 parts at a time. There are a lot of these vehicles on the road, and at this rate, my car is never going to be fixed. There is also an open warranty for the 3rd row ejection mitigation that there is no fix for yet. I was told not to use the third row, which is not really possible and is part of why I bought a car with 3 rows of seats. I feel uncomfortable driving my car as well as having passengers in the first and second row, as I feel the seat belt might not hold if there was an accident. My safety and the safety of my passengers is potentially being compromised. I feel that we received the seat belt recall 9 months ago and that is plenty of time to address this problem. I am requesting for the NTSB to get involved and require Hyundai to provide a loaner car (of the exact same size and capacity) until my Palisade can be reapired. I was also told at an additional appointment that the rear shocks that leak are also waiting for Hyundai to ship new ones. So, I am currently driving a car that might not have proper working seat belts for the first 2 rows, can potentially eject anyone riding in the 3rd row with leaking shocks.

Two simultaenous problems happened: 1) loud clunking/thudding during low-speed turn. 2) Clunking/knocking/rattling noise from suspensions when going through uneven grounds. This both things happened before 20,000 miles. Had AWD coupling and rear differential unit replaced under warranty regarding problem 1). Had rear shocks replaced under warranty regarding problem 2). Found there has bben TSB issued related to 2), for older models, TSB 25-SS-004H but not for this year of models. Those two exact problems started again at about 40,000 miles. Had vehicle checked at 50,500 miles recently. Regarding problem 1), the dearship found issue with AWD coupling, stating faulty parts, drive shaft seal was 1/8" off and materials are fused. Replaced AWE coupling, and ECU program update. After program update, I do not see the power distribution monitor anymore from my dash. The program update should turned it off for some reason that I do not know. I have no clue that AWD module is working normal as I cannot see the power distribution action anymore. Regarding problem 2), they replaced both rear shocks again. The problem went away for now. This vehicle has been only 50,000 miles and had 4 major issues (2 times of two major identical issues) that alongside with many owners' compaints, and seems highly related to one of Technical Service Bulletin that was previously issued for older models. I would like to request investigation on these services.
