Labor Day weekend I was two hours away from home. Before leaving town my automatic collision breaking system decided to go off and start breaking. There was absolutely no one in front of me. The entire weekend about seven or eight times my vehicle put me in extreme danger going at all speeds putting myself in my Assistan danger of dying and flying through the windshield. When I got back to town and made an appointment at North Freeway, Hyundai in Spring they lied and claimed there was front and damage and that the bracket was loose. I have absolutely no front end damage I have included pictures for some reason if they don’t work your system is having issues. Their pictures they took are completely blown out and white and look like it needs an exorcism. I have clear photos of my vehicle there was absolutely no incident or damaged to have any issues with my vehicle . I have been an extreme danger and had to turn it off in order to drive home. I have made several attempts to contact the service manager and he cannot be bothered to contact me it is apparently above him and his Pay grade. I have contacted Hyundai personally and they are working on it on their end but overall it’s up to the dealership
Seat Belts
Filed Sep 16, 2026NM
This vehicle has had an open recall for seat belts for over a year. We have had issues with the seat belts and stated that to our local hyundai shop in Farmington, NM multiple times. Even when the car has been in for other things. The only thing they can tell us is that the seatbelts are on backorder and they do not know when they will be in. Then they give us a print out stating the vehicle has an open recall. Like really, we know that you can't seem to fix it. My daughter who should still be in a booster seat is unable to use a booster due to the seat belts coming undone sometimes when buckling them if we use a booster. I feel like with a safety recall like this, if you can't get the seat belts in the cars that are already on the road, mabe the manufacturer does not need to be producing new cars as they too require seat belts. I put in the most recent date we were told the belts were on order in the date occurred.

Vehicle: 2022 Hyundai Palisade, approximately 78,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced a recurring engine/powertrain malfunction involving engine stalling, hesitation/rough operation, startup rattling, cylinder air/fuel imbalance, and misfires. The exact failed component is currently UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has stalled at low speeds, creating a safety concern because the engine can unexpectedly shut off or lose power while the vehicle is being operated in traffic. Unexpected stalling could leave the vehicle without normal acceleration when entering or crossing traffic and creates a risk of a collision involving the occupants or other motorists. The vehicle has been evaluated and serviced by a Hyundai dealership for engine-related concerns. Diagnostic trouble codes associated with these problems have included P000C, P219D, P219F, P21A0, and P0302. Of particular concern, P219D, indicating a Cylinder 2 air/fuel ratio imbalance, has occurred repeatedly, and the vehicle subsequently generated P0302, indicating a Cylinder 2 misfire. This suggests a recurring problem involving the same cylinder, although the underlying cause remains UNKNOWN.Previous repair efforts have included work involving the vehicle's VVT system, but the engine-related problems and diagnostic codes have continued/recurred. The vehicle/component has been inspected by a Hyundai dealership. To my knowledge, it has not been separately inspected by police, insurance

We purchased this used 2022 Hyundai Palisade SLE vehicle on XXX at a Nissan dealership with 95,492 miles. While my spouse was driving the vehicle on the highway on XXX the failed child safety lock alarm notification displayed on the screen and the 2nd row actuators began flicking on and off, like it was exorcist. My [XXX] toddler with special needs rides in the back so we were concerned the doors might pop open if they were not locking properly. We took picture of the alarm display. The next day XXX, before we signed the sales contract , we informed the dealership of the safety hazard. They proceeded to take vehicle back and we hav a loaner vehicle in the meantime. After a week, we were informed that the Hyundai dealership did not find anything wrong with the door locks. When we proceeded to pick up the Palisade on XXX, we were able to recreate the problem right away before even driving the vehicle. All we did was unlock the suv, and when we attempted to open the back doors, the actuators kept clicking on and off on both doors on the 2nd row of the suv. We again told the dealership that it was re-occurring. I emailed and texted pictures and video to the sales representative Carlos Cortez, the finance rep Ruben Mendoza and the service manager Mike Moore. Mike contacted me next day early morning via telephone, they could not recreate the problem and would consult with a Mastertech. I explained that all we did was unlock the suv with the fab and tried opening the 2nd row door ma

On 7/22/26 at about 5:15pm, I was operating my vehicle, a 2022 Hyundai Palisade in the Parking lot of Publix Supermarket at Valrico Commons and was attempting to enter a parking space. I made a right from the parking thruway to enter a right parking space. I felt one of the right wheels graze the pedestrian sidewalk as I was driving about 5 miles per hour, next thing the vehicle lunged forward out of control and though I tried applying the brakes, the brakes would not respond. As a result, my vehicle ending up hitting a parking pole, which resulted in two vehicles parked opposite to me being hit by the pole. There was no one in the parked vehicles.

SUMMARY Filing complaint under 49 U.S.C. § 30120 against Hyundai Motor America & Checkered Flag Hyundai for failure to remedy a seatbelt defect in reasonable time, misallocating parts, and refusing escalation. On April 17, 2026, while driving my 2022 Hyundai Palisade with approximately 167,000 miles, the vehicle suddenly lost engine power and was unable to maintain normal driving speed. The sudden loss of propulsion created a safety risk because the vehicle could no longer operate normally in traffic. I was able to move the vehicle out of traffic, but it would not restart. I also observed white smoke coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was towed to Matt Bowers Hyundai Slidell, an authorized Hyundai dealership, where it remains and is available for inspection upon request. The dealership has inspected the vehicle and advised that the engine needs to be replaced. The exact internal component that failed and the final cause of the engine failure remain under review by Hyundai. I do not recall any warning lamps or messages before the sudden failure. The timing of any prior symptoms is UNKNOWN. The vehicle had been maintained through authorized Hyundai dealerships. On December 29, 2025, a Hyundai dealership replaced the oil filter housing because of an oil leak and performed a synthetic oil and oil filter change. On March 11, 2026, approximately five weeks before the failure, the dealership performed another oil and oil-filter change and a multipoint inspection. I am reporting this incident because the sudden loss of engine power while driving, the inability to restart, and the smoke from the engine compartment created a serious safety concern. The vehicle remains disabled a

I own a 2022 Hyundai Palisade SEL. On XXX, while driving at the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] in [XXX], the engine abruptly lost power, causing a sudden loss of engine power while the vehicle was in motion. This is my family's primary vehicle, and my wife and children were in the car during this incident. On XXX, I brought the vehicle to Courtesy Hyundai in [XXX]. The dealer found essentially no oil in the engine despite my keeping up with scheduled oil changes. The dealer replaced the oil and performed a software update described on the repair order as "9C9 C ECU SW UPDATE EMISSIONS IMPRV 26-01-010H," and I was instructed to return after 1,000 miles for an oil-level recheck. At that recheck, the dealer's service assistant reported the oil was full. On XXX, before a planned family road trip, I returned the vehicle for another check. The service department found the engine was two quarts low — this was only 4,000 miles after the oil service on April 10, 2026. The dealer stated they requested an oil consumption test but that Hyundai denied the request. Per the dealer's instructions, I returned again after another 1,000 miles, and the engine was one quart low. I am filing this complaint because I believe the excessive oil consumption and the resulting loss of engine power represent a safety defect that has not been remedied. An engine that abruptly loses power while driving creates a serious hazard, including loss of power steering and reduced braking assist, and I am concerne

Seat Belts
Filed Jun 24, 2026NJ
My Hyundai Palisade is subject to Recall 283 (NHTSA Recall 25V607000) involving the seat belt system. The affected seat belt has exhibited sticking and binding issues. On at least one occasion, the belt became so tangled and stuck that I had to use pliers to free it. Children regularly use this seating position. I have contacted my Hyundai dealership, Circle Hyundai in Shrewsbury N.J., approximately 4-5 times over the past several months seeking recall repairs. Each time I was advised that parts were unavailable and that the dealership was waiting for Hyundai to supply the recall remedy. I also submitted an online service inquiry and did not receive a response. I am concerned that a known safety defect exists, the seat belt is exhibiting operational problems, and no repair has been made available despite repeated requests for service. I am submitting this complaint due to both the seat belt malfunction and the ongoing inability to obtain the recall repair.

Randomly but frequently, my car would turn off when coming to a stop and with the auto shut off - but the full car would turn off and to move, I would need to press the ignition to turn back on and drive. This even occurred while accelerating onto a highway. I took this to the shop and after 6 months of back and forth and paying for fuel injectors they 'repaired' it. Now, my car felt heavy with the auto turn off but the vehicle stayed on. The next day, while trying to accelerate up a hill on a highway, the RPM would rev but the car would not shift and accelerate. Additionally, I am getting 'parking sensor error or blockage' but they lines and sensors are all working.
Complaint volume is well above typical for a single model year.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Recall repairs are free for as long as the recall stands. Check whether a specific car still has open work at NHTSA's VIN lookup.
