Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 VT1300CX and 2024-2025 VT750 motorcycles. The fuel pump may malfunction due to a manufacturing defect.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in January 2027. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's numbers for this recall are KU9, KV0, and KV1. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 8, 2026.

The handlebars and front suspension develop a wobble at approximately 40 mph on up through 50 mph. Above 50 I believe the vibrations are happening so fast it feels a little smoother. However, with the throttle closed and deacceleration down through 50 through 30 mph the handlebars developed a significant death wobble. If you lighten or relax your grip on the handlebars, it is visibly shaking back to forth and is quite alarming. The Honda motor motorcycle dealer is unable to diagnose.
