In July 2021 I had the CPV replaced because the purge valve was stuck open. Now, less than 2 years later, 45,000 miles later, I am once again having the same issue. Code P1450. Unable to bleed up fuel tank. Just like last time. My vehicle check engine light is on and after I get gas my car starts sputters and does not want to start.

Service Brakes
Filed Mar 6, 2023IN

My car has been losing power and randomly stalling for a while now. Today as I was driving it was happening more and then suddenly my brake pedal became hard as a rock, and the hill assist warning came up. It keeps stalling and will not remain running for longer than 2-3 minutes of being on. This almost caused me to ram several cars due to not being able to stop quickly enough. No lights came on other than check engine and it has not been inspected as this has only happened today. However the stalling of the car has been going on for about 3 months and I’ve been very pregnant and unable to have it looked at. The loss of power in the car happens and sometimes downshift’s extremely hard causing a loud jerk noise from the underside of the vehicle. Once turned off and turned back on it goes right back to normal until it decides to do it again. It can happen a couple of times or it can happen 100 times within a 5 mile period and I never know when it’s going to happen until it’s actually doing it. Extremely dangerous and I’ve seen several 2015 owners posting about issues of the 2015 brake system/bumper etc. I’ve seen recall talk but this site shows no recalls, please get this issue recalled asap!

Drove the car last on 1/18/2023, no issues with steering whatsoever; never saw a warning light on dash. Then on 1/19/2023, I had to go to work and attempted to make the trip. Upon turning the key the car started but the dash illuminated two warnings. [STEERING-ASSIST FAULT-SERVICE REQUIRED] [SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC] I had not experienced any issues prior to this. Now the cars steering is very difficult to steer. Apparently, some drivers have experienced this while driving, this could be very dangerous and investigated as this could be lethal in certain circumstances. There was a recall for bolts, to my best of knowledge this was fully completed by a local registered Ford dealership. This causes me worry and I think Ford should look into this or at the least perform a complimentary assessment of what is going on and offer some solutions to such an issue that apparently is not uncommon.

Filed Jan 2, 2023MN

When I went to stop at a stop sign, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the car went partially through the stop sign. I was able to pump the brakes and get relatively solid braking, so I drove the two blocks back to my home. Once home, I pumped the brakes approximately 10 times more and the low fluid light came on, indicating a brake leak. Since the brake reservoir was able to empty in approximately 12 pumps, the leak must be relatively severe. The car is approximately 8 years old, has about 125,000 miles on it, has always been serviced by the dealership. About 2 months ago the brakes were inspected and the rear brake pads and rotors were replaced. Thus, there is no reason for a severe brake leak such as this.

1. Front passenger brake hose split. 2. While driving the brake hose made an audible pop sound and fluid was released. Had I been driving at a high rate of speed (on an interstate) I could have created a multi-vehicle crash, potentially killing other drivers and, or myself. 3. I have a photo of the split hose. 4. I’ve inspected the issue myself and have photo evidence. It was not difficult to find the malfunctioned part. 5. No warning lamps or notices of failure. I’ve owned several cars, some much older than this current ford fusion and never had this issue with the brake hose. This could have been disastrous. I learned today that NHTSA opened a query into this potential issue in August 2022 and am recommending this be continued or reopened for investigation. This is not something to mess with, brake failure can be lethal.

Engine has a misfire on cylinder #2. Documented at dealership and has same issue as Id number 10213732 or 21N12 under Ford Customer Service. Build date for our vehicle is 07/14 which is not covered by this T.S.B., but obviously has the same issue as the bulletin. Car misfires while driving, accelerating and decelerating. I believe the build dates should be expanded to all 1.5 ecoboost with this issue, which is coolant intrusion by a poorly engineered engine block.

I bought a 2015 Ford Fusion from a dealer in May 2022 i had only been driving the vehicle a month & 1/2 before it began to smoke really bad, so bad to where the drivers behind me visibility was affected....I made it home safely not knowing if the car would explode because of all the smoke and the smell, and the overheating of coolant and warning lights. I called the dealer I bought it from they said they couldn't help me cause it was past the few weeks they gave me to call them with issues, but said i can pay their mechanic to fix it for over $4000.00 which I do not have because I am on disability with a fixed income. I am still paying the note for this vehicle which I cannot drive and cannot afford to fix. It is just parked. I don't know what else to do, I took it to the Ford dealership near me and they said the engine needed to be replaced and would cost 10,442.00 which is more than what i owe on the car...I don't understand why there is no recalls for this vehicle and others that Ford and other dealers seem to know had or have this issue. I have read online and heard on YouTube so many people have had this same issue with their Ford vehicles and can't get any help to repair them.
