I am here to have safety recall(s) performed on my 2015 Ford Fusion. They cannot do the recall without changing defective (rusted lug nuts) at a cost of $160.00. Rusted lug nuts seem to be an issue with this model car and I feel should be covered as part of the recall if the replacement of the lug nuts is required to perform the recall safety service.

Had to have my transmission replaced due to harsh shifting into 2nd & 3rd gear while driving, as well as when you slow down it would down shift in those two gears. Had the transmission replaced, and not even a week later after they also updated the ECU for the transmission, now this transmission that was put in is doing the exact same thing. Now a few weeks later my trunk is randomly opening while I'm driving or while I'm at work, ECT.

Short Block Replacement After Coolant Intrusion is affecting our model year 2015. Ford only placed a service recall on years 2017-2019 however the same issues are affecting the prior years and Ford is doing nothing to help consumers rectify this matter. Our 2015 Ford Fusion the 1.5L EcoBoost engine is exhibiting a low coolant level, white exhaust smoke and run in a rough condition with or without an illuminated malfunction. Our car dangerously broke down on road and Ford never sent us a letter of the known issue in their car.

2015 Ford Fusion SE was taken in for multiple recalls on 6/14/2023. The recall that caused an issue was 23E03 Powertrain Control Module Reprogramming. After recall was completed, the gear shifter did not want to go in to gear, the gears were not wanting to change, and the times they did change they were shifting erratically. I was then only able to go 5 mph, and unable to make it home. The problem was confirmed by the dealership as they had to retrieve the car and take it back to the dealership to be looked at. When driving the vehicle, they confirmed that the gear shifting was "terrible". The vehicle is at the dealership waiting for the issue to be fixed as of 6/27/2023. There were no warnings or messages displayed at any point.

Steering
Filed Jun 16, 2023MA

My 2015 Ford Fusion, which has under 76,000 miles, started making a noise and took more effort than usual to take a turn- and once turned (both sides), took a lot of effort to get back into neutral position. I brought the car to Jack Madden Ford in Norwood, MA, where they ran diagnostics on it- the steering column needs to be replaced. My concern is that there was a recall placed on some 2015 Ford Fusions (Ford recall #15S14) which dealt with steering gear attachment bolts. This was not a recall under my VIN, but I'm suspecting that it should have been- especially since this car has low mileage for a 2015 vehicle and is only driven locally. That recall specifically mentioned in states with inclement weather where salt is used on the roads which could wear down the bolts (MA is one of these states). I have brought my car to the Ford dealership for every oil change/recall/repair needed- I can't think of any reason this should have happened, other than a defect in the vehicle.

I brought my car to the Ford dealership, and they ran diagnostics- my car needs the steering column replaced.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while parked, upon starting the vehicle, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact noticed later that the air bag warning light had remained illuminated; however, the warning light turned off independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the front passenger’s side seat belt. The vehicle was not repaired due to the contact declining service because she previously had the dealer replace the seat position sensor. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to contact the NHTSA Hotline; however, a case was not opened. The failure mileage was 41,690.

On May 15, 2023 I got in my car, proceeded to drive off when I noticed that the airbag light was still illuminated on the instrument panel. I notified the dealership the next day and dropped my car off on May 17, 2023. On May 19 a diagnostics test was run and revealed that I had a faulty seat belt buckle. I declined service on the car. This was shocking to me since I took my car to them less than 4000 miles and less than a year ago for the airbag light staying on again in 2022. At that time it was revealed that it was the passenger seat position sensor & it was repaired. In 2020 my car was also a part of Recall 19S25 for the seat belt. In 2018 repairs were also done on my car due to the airbag light coming on as well. I'm driving the car but now don't know if it is safe to drive. When I picked up the car, the light was still on but about 4-5 days later the light went off by itself. The passenger seat has barely been used since I purchased the car in 2015. After the repairs were done in 2022, the seat/seat belt has not been used so I don't understand how it can be faulty. It seems to me that there's a defect somewhere and it should be investigated. I would appreciate if this is given serious consideration. When I spoke with Ford Motor Company, they told me to contact you to have you investigate the matter. I am working with the Customer Relations Rep with Ford of Franklin- [XXX] at [XXX] regarding this matter. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FO

The power brake booster is driven by a custom Ford bolt driven by the camshaft. This bolt failed with the result that it was extremely hard to stop the vehicle with both feet on the brake pedal. I looked online for advice and found this is a very common failure. Then while trying to get a replacement bolt, every Ford dealer in North America that I contacted has them on back order so this is an extremely common failure.Obviously anyone around one of these vehicles are at risk when this part fails which is very clearly a common occurrence. This happens with no warning at all.

The steering mount bolts (as related to recall 19S26) have corroded & broken off. This has been confirmed by the local Ford dealership. This has caused a very loud noise when turning the steering wheel, as well as the steering slipping/becoming stiffer. This can lead to no control over steering at all in the vehicle. I brought the vehicle into the local ford dealership immediately, & there was some confusion over what recalls were covered. I got it back & the issue had not been fixed, & that is when we realized the recall does not cover the state where I live. Ford has stated this recall does not cover the state I am in (SD) but does cover the vehicle in the neighboring state of MN (of which I live 20 miles from the border). My dealership has tried to speak with ford to petition them to cover this recall, & they are refusing. In addition to that, this vehicle has been in MN every other month or so, has had most service done to the vehicle in MN as well.

I was driving on the freeway yesterday, about 70mph driving conditions were good, it was sunny and warm, and traffic was flowing regularly, and I felt as thought something gave way or loosened up because the car and steering ability were not in synch. I was then approaching a congested area and needed to slow down but the brakes did not brake as fast as they should of and I almost smashed right into the car in front of me. There felt like a disconnection between the brakes, the steering, and the entire car. I have keep my care well maintained and do not miss my regular maintenance appointments. I just had it smogged, with a change of oil and 80k inspection. The tires were checked and everything was ok. There were no indicator lights or alerts however, I do have a light that will not shut off and i was told subject to a recall. It's the front fog lights? or running lights? its the front lights not head lights but the ones the side. That light doesn't impact my driving ability. This is a very unsafe and frightening experience and I would like it investigated before someone really gets hurt.
