I was on the highway doing 70mph and went to break and I had no brakes. I was terrified. I kept trying and I got it to break and pressed again and lost them again. Eventually the pressure on the breaks returned. The remaining ride home was just scarey.

I received Safety Recall 23S65 in May of 2025. As of now, May 14,2026 parts are still NOT available for repair. Ford was aware of this safety issue well before May of 2025, yet they do not seem concerned at all to make parts available to dealers to repair this defect. This should be considered well beyond any reasonable time frame for Ford to have corrected this problem.
The contact owns 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, while depressing the accelerator pedal the automatic brake system engaged independently causing all four wheels to lock up. a dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to dealer where it was diagnosed that front camera bezel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired as the front camera bezel was replaced. The contact was relating the failure NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V334000 ( FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered no assistance and informed him he had to pay for the cost of repair. The failure mileage was 24,000.
My 2023 Ford F-150 is not drivable due to Ford safety recall 25S82 / NHTSA 25V512. Dealer states parts are on national backorder and Ford Customer Relationship Center said they cannot escalate internally, only forward comments to the dealer. I drive approximately 1,000 miles per week and the dealer-provided loaner requires swaps every 1,000 miles. Ford has not provided a reasonable recall remedy timeline or long-term transportation solution.
When taking a turn from one street to another, my truck made a loud noise and every light went on my dash. A bunch of error messages then my truck stopped and could not move anymore. It could not shift either. I ws stuck in the middle of road then I had to pay to get it towed to the nearest Ford dealership on March 10th 2026. It is now May 5th. and I am still awaiting the fix of my truck. They say it is due to not having the parts to fix it. It is for the recall 25S82, but it is now almost 2 whole months with nothing.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000(POWER TRAIN); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced the failure.
Harsh or Erratic Shifts: Extremely hard shifts, and harsh downshifts. Delayed Engagement: A long delay when shifting from Park or Reverse to Drive, often with a "thud" or high revving before engagement. "Neutral-Out" Feeling: The transmission feels like it drops to neutral while driving, or slips (RPM flare) before catching a gear. Harsh Electric-to-Gas Transition: In PowerBoost models, the transition between electric and gas power is harsh and aggressive.
Vehicle Shudders under load with harsh/jerky shifts especially when downshifting as the vehicle slows down. Sometimes there is a hard bang when downshifting from 4 to 3. The 10R80 transmission has a reputation for these issues. I took it into the Ford dealer for service and they found that the TCC solenoid was scored, fine metal shavings were found in the fluid indicating a torque converter failure, and the CDF drum was replaced because of a misaligned bushing. Luckily this vehicle is still under factory warranty but these issues are very prevalent.

When in drive, the vehicle will roll backwards when on a slope if you do not have your foot on the break. The torque converter and control body has been replaced by Gullo ford of Conroe TX. They state that i should use the auto break function. Ford itself states that i need to contact the dealer to rectify any problems with the vehicle. Ford refuses to do any additional work and state this is normal for this vehicle. This is a very dangerous situation for the vehicle if you are not paying attention or are not familiar with the vehicle.
2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Complete instrument cluster blackout while driving. Screen goes entirely black intermittently, lasting up to 30 minutes. Occurs while vehicle is in motion. Issue persists even after stopping and restarting vehicle. Loss of speedometer, battery state of charge, warning lights, and all driver information. This creates unsafe driving conditions with no way to monitor speed or critical vehicle systems.
I am reporting a significant safety defect regarding the integrated rear light bar on my vehicle. The component initially developed visible stress cracks across the housing. This has now progressed to a total electrical failure of the unit. The light bar serves as a primary housing for the vehicle's brake lights and reverse lights. These lights no longer illuminate. This is a critical safety concern as it leaves the vehicle without functional signaling for stopping or reversing, significantly increasing the risk of a rear-end collision, especially at night or in low-visibility conditions.
While driving up to 40 mph, the emergency brake will randomly come on causing me to skid and stop suddenly. I manually have to turn back off the emergency brake to drive again. This incident has occurred in traffic multiple times. The truck has been at the dealership service center four times and they cannot replicate, diagnose, or repair the issue. The dealership states they have looked at the electrical components and replaced the battery, which did not solve the issue. There are no warnings prior to the emergency brake coming on. A collision is not about to happen that causes it to come on.
The vehicle is subject to an active safety recall (rear axle hub bolt / axle assembly). The issue has been confirmed by a dealer inspection in November 2025. Despite confirmation, no repair was performed because the dealer did not initially order the required parts. This resulted in several months of delay. After escalation to the manufacturer, a parts order was finally placed in April 2026 and marked as priority. The dealer has since confirmed there is still no estimated time of arrival for the required parts, and the repair cannot be completed. This conflicts with recall information indicating that parts are available. The recall states that failure of the axle hub components can lead to loss of motive power or unintended vehicle movement. The vehicle is used regularly for towing and hauling, which increases concern about potential failure under load. The safety issue remains unresolved after several months, and there is no timeline for repair despite repeated attempts to address it through both the dealer and manufacturer.

This vehicle is equipped with Blue Cruise, a hands-free driving feature. While in hands-free drive mode (Blue Cruise), the vehicle abruptly disengaged and aggressively pulled off the highway. In icy conditions and at high speeds. This is abnormal for the system. Typically, if the Blue Cruise disengages, it gives a timed warning, about 5-10 seconds, and then will disengage. This was dangerously different. The dealership serviced the vehicle and updated the system. However, Blue C still wanders in the lane and randomly disconnects. With the Blue Cruise system turned off/disengaged and the adaptive cruise control engaged, the system also acts erratically, randomly disengaging for no reason.
Recall Number: 23S65 issued 12-22-2023 Parts are still NOT available. Ford Company does not seem to be making any effort at all to fix this safety recall. Dealers I've contacted have no idea when parts will be available. This is unacceptable.
I contacted the local ford dealer, Seekins in Fairbanks Alaska. The dealership wanted to make an appointment to address the recalls next DECEMBER -- this April 2026. What's the point of a safety recall if they won't timely address them?
Rear light bar has water inside. Recall has not been fix since October 2025. Rear light flickering on and off. Been pulled over by the police

After a crash into a tree on the passenger side the airbags deployed and the truck immediately caught fire and the doors locked and would not open for any reason. The only way I was able to exit was busting through the front windshield. had I been severely injured or knocked unconscious the outcome of this would have been much different. The truck burned to the ground in 11 minutes. It has been inspected by the police and awaiting insurance representative to inspect. There were no warning no recalls regarding a crash that would lock the doors and not allow me to exit.

Rear passenger seat heater shorted out and burnt through seat cushion and and sleeping bag. We ripped the seat out and taped up the power cables. The vehicle has not been to a dealer as our local dealer sold / closed within the last year. There were no warnings before this issue.
Electronic parking brake warning was coming on and parking brake was inoperative during this period of time. Vehicle is at the dealership now and diagnosed with corroded and broken wires in the left rear harness for the parking brake. Ford will not assist with this repair even though it is very similar to the problem involving recall 23S35 which inspects and replaces this same harness due shorting out wires which could cause the parking brake to lock up while driving
I am reporting a serious safety defect in my 2023 Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew (EcoBoost engine. The oil pressure warning light suddenly illuminated, indicating a loss of oil pressure. Immediately after, the engine suffered catastrophic failure (it "blew the engine"). At the same moment, with no input from me, the gear shifter automatically shifted from Drive into Park. This caused the transmission to lock up, resulting in violent skidding and the truck veering off the road. I was able to regain control and avoid a collision or rollover, but the incident created an imminent risk of serious injury or fatality, especially while towing. I have maintained it properly, never missed a payment on the $74,000 truck, and drove it cross-country from Arizona to Florida without prior issues. Ford Motor Company has claimed there were "70 warnings" prior to the failure, but I received **zero** dashboard warnings, lights, messages, or indications at any point leading up to or during the event. This is the second Ford F-150 I have owned with unexplained powertrain problems. I traded a 2018 F-150 for the platinum & it repeatedly stalled without reason & required the engine to cool before restarting; dealerships (FL & TN) could not fully diagnose it, with one suggesting an oil-pump-related overheating issue despite no warning lights. Repair estimates are extremely high: Gator Ford quoted $17,000, Brandon Ford quoted $14,000, Veterans Ford quoted $12,000, and an independent shop quoted $12,000
The electronic brake booster system failed while driving the vehicle causing the brakes to lock up and almost caused a collision with a tree putting me and my family in danger. Car was towed to the dealer and confirmed electronic brake booster failure. There were no prior warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to the failure during the operation of the vehicle. All warning first appeared after the failure.
I heard noise coming from my truck, sounded like it was in my wheel. Feb. 4, 2026 I took it to a repair shop. They told me it was the recall on my truck and gave the nut and bolt that had broken off my truck. I called Stanley Ford where I bought the truck to get the recall fixed. They told me they had the part and would get it out the next day (Friday) because I was leaving that Sunday on a work trip. They called me on Friday and said the part they had was for another vehicle and it would be 3-4 mths before they would have the part and I couldn't drive the truck. The software was not updating (even with a battery change) and I asked them to reset since we changed the battery. They told me it would $400 plus to fix that. They have not offered a vehicle for me to drive and neither has Ford. Ford was called and everything was explained to them. I am without a vehicle, with no real estimated time on when I will get my truck back and nothing has been done. No loaner, no paying for my truck since I do not have it. I have been without a vehicle for a month and 1/2. I work a full time job. I have a statement from repair shop and pic, but it won't let me upload.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. When the vehicle was purchased, the contact requested the Retrofit/Activate Heated Steering Wheel option. When the vehicle was delivered, the contact realized that the option was missing from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer suggested that the contact read the manual to learn how to turn on the Retrofit/Activate Heated Steering Wheel. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the contact explained that the option was missing from the vehicle. The dealer refused to assist. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue but provided no assistance. Upon further investigation, the contact became aware of Customer Satisfaction Program: 22G06, which was associated with Ford and Lincoln vehicles with the Retrofit/Activate Heated Steering Wheel option deleted during production due to supply shortages. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer and mentioned specifically that the vehicle needed the Customer Satisfaction Program: 22G06 "Heated Steering Wheel Performance Upgrade". The dealer refused and informed the contact that the vehicle could no longer be taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40.
My vehicle is experiencing all of the systems of the current ford recall. "Trailer lighting module fault. " rapid blinker. Etc. for whatever reason it is not listed in the vehicles to be recalled. Thus making it very difficult to get fixed at the dealership. Need this taken care of asap!
The 12v battery on these vehicles are severely strained or defective AGM batteries have been used since vehicle inception in 2022. Dozens of reports from owners show "system off to save battery" error codes and 12v symptoms such as inoperable multi-function displays, especially in cold weather. After replacing the OEM 12v battery, i have pictures showing the bulging the battery has suffered. Again, these errors are experienced by dozens, if not hundreds of owners and could lead to serious injury because the 12v battery operates all electronics in the vehicle.
Received recall 25S82 rear axle half-shaft and hub assembly replacement in August of 2025. Dealer confirmed in September 2025, both right and left components need replaced. I was told parts are on order. I check on the recall parts each month and told various stories. For instance. 1. Only one OEM manufacturer of these recall parts 2. Only large dealerships are getting them. 3. First come first serve, yet reports on social media that some Ford owners are getting repaired in two weeks. 4. Tied to VIN number, not tied to VIN number. Whatever the situation, 6-months and counting with no assurance of parts is unacceptable. I cannot trust to take this truck outside of my local towing company’s business radius.
Vehicle has open unrepaired safety recall 25S82 / NHTSA 25V512 for rear axle hub bolt failure. Contacted [XXX] Ford in Fort Myers FL on two separate occasions. Both times told parts are unavailable and I would be placed on a callback list. No callback has been received. Recall remains unrepaired. VIN [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Bolt in the hood latch fell out and nearly causing the hood to open on the interstate.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, there was an exploding sound coming from the vehicle. The contact became aware that the front glass panel in the panoramic sunroof had shattered without impact. The contact pulled over and discovered that shattered glass was all over the sunroof liner. The vehicle was initially driven back to the residence, and the hole in the glass was covered. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where the failure was confirmed. However, the contact was informed that there were no recalls or warranties on the vehicle to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided with a case number. The failure mileage was 36,793.
See attached document for complaint. On January 6th, I wrote to you expressing my concerns about Ford’s failure to address a known safety recall (Safety Recall Notice #25S82/NHTSA Recall 25V512) for my 2023 Ford F-150. To date, I have received no response to my initial inquiry which prompts me to send this second letter. In fact, I am writing this letter as I sit in my local Ford dealership for routine maintenance service. At check-in today, I again requested that they determine if my vehicle was in need of the repair specified in the safety recall. Again, I was told “sorry, but Ford is not sending us the necessary parts, so there is nothing we can do at this point”. They said that I should periodically check back with them. I reminded them that I was put on a waiting list for these parts. I have included a copy of my original letter to Ford, so I will not repeat all my concerns. I believe it is important to fully document the facts and my repeated attempts to resolve this matter so that there will be a clear trail of evidence should this unaddressed and known safety recall ever create subsequent safety issues for me or my family. How a company with the size and reputation of Ford can issue a safety recall and then not provide the means to correct a known safety problem is unfathomable. The safety recall notice clearly states that the vehicle “...may roll in park without the parking brake applied, or, alternatively, lose motive power, both of which can increase the risk of a

I received an "important safety recall" notice 25S82 from Ford motor company in August, 2025. The notice from Ford states that replacement parts are available and to schedule an appointment with a local Ford dealership to replace necessary parts and address the safety recall concerns. Since August of 2025, I have contacted my dealership several times and they continue to indicate that parts are still not available from Ford to address the safety recall / concerns. I called the number on Ford's recall notice again today and they either don't answer or immediately hang up on customers like me when the call does go through to speak to an agent. Nine (9) months have passed now and neither Ford nor their dealership network has done anything to address the manufacture defects / safety concerns associated with my vehicle. My dealership has indicated there is a nation-wide back order on the replacement parts but that conflicts with Ford's written communication to consumers and it's no excuse for inaction that could put public safety further at risk. Please take necessary actions to increase Ford's focus on and resolution to this persistent risk. Thank you.
While driving my 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor, the vehicle suddenly lost throttle response. The accelerator pedal produced no response and the engine would not rev even though the vehicle remained powered on. A battery warning light briefly illuminated at the time of the incident. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop, but during the event the steering wheel became locked or extremely stiff and the vehicle did not respond normally to inputs. After stopping, I placed the truck in park and was unable to shift the transmission back out of park. The vehicle appeared to remain powered on but multiple systems were not responding. After pressing the start/stop button and cycling the vehicle, the issue cleared and the truck began operating normally again. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had already been scheduled to go to the dealership because it had been displaying numerous warning lights and diagnostic codes across multiple systems, totaling approximately 30 alerts. The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership for diagnosis. The dealership reported codes indicating a network communication issue between vehicle modules but stated they were unable to reproduce the failure and no repair was performed. The dealership has requested that I take possession of the vehicle despite the unresolved cause of this failure. Given the loss of throttle response and steering function while the vehicle was in motion, I currently feel the vehicle is unsafe to operate until the underlying issue is ide
Recall Number 25V512 was issued August 11, 2025. It is now seven months later and my local dealer is still unable to obtain the parts for this recall. My dealer is Newberg Ford in Newberg, OR 97132
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving from a complete stop on several occasions, the vehicle was sluggish while depressing the accelerator pedal. The failure mostly occurred while driving between 10 and 20 MPH, and the vehicle jerked while driving 20 MPH. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact received a message for "Power Train Malfunction - Reduction" from the Mobile App. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. Upon investigating online, the contact associated the failure with TSB Number: 22-2428. The dealer advised the contact that the manufacturer would be notified of the failure. The contact was awaiting a call back from the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the vehicle while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was forced to place the vehicle into 4WD which allowed the contact to drive the vehicle; however, there was an abnormal grinding and popping sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,653.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH and hauling a trailer, the rear brake lights failed to illuminate. There were several messages displayed related to the trailer connection and brake lights. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the trailer was difficult to control, and the display screen inside the vehicle was flashing off and on. The vehicle was driven back to a storage facility. While reversing and attempting to park the trailer, the message that the trailer was disconnected from the vehicle was displayed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted and informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V104000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
Rear axle component failed on my 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat. Vehicle completely lost mobility and would not move. We were stranded on a dangerous freeway exit. A recall repair for issue was performed. A second failure of the axle was later discovered during tire service. This is a repeat failure of a major drivetrain component and raises significant safety concerns. Additionally, the first failure was very traumatic. We had just left the funeral home preparing for my 15 year old daughters funeral. The freeway exit it left us stranded at was unsafe to remain in the vehicle. In order to be safe, we had to go stand in a cemetery. Having this component fail just after a year of being fixed is a serious ongoing safety concern.
The moonroof on our F-150 exploded going down the interstate. Nothing was hit and it sounded like a gunshot. The headliner remains intact with no damage and glass blew out at an upward angle. We submitted to Ford for a warranty claim but they denied it. Based on my research this is a known problem from Ford and they are not addressing it.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
