Ford f150 10 speed transmission failure, third replacement of defective oil pan, and replacement defective rear main seal. Transmission was taken for service/repair while still under warranty. Local dealer advised problem not found. Hard shifts and skipped shifts persisted until recently I had to pay for tranny rebuild and third replacement of defective oil pan. FORD should have to reimburse me for these repairs. It is a known fact that ford knew about this problem for years and has had thousands of complaints.

Vehicle is experiencing severe, dangerous transmission malfunctions matching Ford Safety Recall 26S28 / NHTSA 26V237. Multiple times while cruising at highway speeds, the vehicle has abruptly downshifted into 2nd or 3rd gear without warning, causing violent engine revving, sudden loss of forward momentum, and severe steering wheel shaking. These incidents occurred in rainy, low-visibility environments. The vehicle is primarily driven by my wife with our [XXX] granddaughter inside. A sudden drop to 2nd gear at highway speeds in low-traction conditions creates an immediate, catastrophic risk of a high-speed rear-end collision or loss of control. On Wed [XXX], we took the truck to Hubler Ford (Shelbyville, IN). The service department officially diagnosed the vehicle and acknowledged the malfunctions are caused by Recall 26S28. However, they refused to repair it because they are "waiting on a software code" from Ford corporate, estimating a delay until mid-July 2026. They refused to provide a safe loaner, forcing us to drive an actively malfunctioning vehicle. On 6/18/26, I called Ford National Customer Service to escalate this safety issue and request an interim rental. The Ford rep contacted Hubler Ford but failed to authorize a rental. Instead, Ford corporate placed me back in a customer service loop, telling me to discuss symptoms with the dealer again, even though the dealer already officially diagnosed the defect. This loop has caused numerous 20+ min holds with no one addr

My 2017 Ford F-150 is subject to safety recall 25V236 / 25S37 for a faulty brake master cylinder that can leak fluid and cause a loss of front braking function. I contacted the dealership to have the safety repair completed, but I was informed that the necessary replacement parts are on indefinite backorder with no estimated arrival date. No interim safety defect remedy or loaner vehicle has been provided by the manufacturer. I am forced to drive a vehicle with a known, critical braking defect, posing an immediate safety risk to myself and others on the road. The manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall in a timely manner.

I experienced a sudden coolant leak on my 2017 Ford F‑150 equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. The Ford dealership diagnosed the issue as leaking turbocharger coolant lines. The coolant was leaking in the turbo area and dripping onto extremely hot exhaust components. This creates a risk of rapid coolant loss, overheating, loss of power while driving, and potential engine compartment fire. The Ford service advisor told me directly that he has “seen this many times,” which indicates this is a recurring failure on EcoBoost engines and not normal wear. This suggests the coolant line design or fittings may be defective and failing prematurely. The repair estimate was extremely high because the dealer included replacement of both exhaust manifolds. This failure occurred without warning. If the coolant loss had happened at highway speed, it could have caused sudden engine overheating or power loss. I am requesting NHTSA investigate turbo coolant line failures on Ford EcoBoost engines due to the safety risk of coolant leaking onto hot turbo and exhaust components.

My vehicle is currently subject to an open Ford transmission safety recall for which no repair remedy is available at this time. The vehicle is experiencing a recurring and dangerous failure while driving. Approximately twice per day, during my normal commute, all vehicle electronics suddenly shut off while the vehicle is in motion. At the same time, the wheels appear to lock up, causing a sudden loss of vehicle control and creating a significant crash risk. When the failure occurs, I am forced to immediately shift the transmission into neutral while the vehicle is still moving. After approximately 5 to 10 seconds, I can shift back into drive and continue operating the vehicle. However, vehicle electronics often remain inoperative for the remainder of the trip. This condition is occurring repeatedly and has become more frequent. The issue currently occurs approximately once during my drive to work and once during my drive home. My commute is approximately 20 minutes each way. The vehicle has not yet been involved in a crash, but I believe a crash is likely if this condition continues. The sudden loss of power, loss of electronics, and wheel lockup while driving creates an immediate safety hazard to myself, my passengers, and other motorists. I am submitting this complaint because the vehicle is subject to an active safety recall, the condition appears related to the recall, and no repair remedy is currently available. I believe the vehicle is unsafe to operate

In November of 2025. I took my truck, 2017 f-150 3.5 Liter engine, to Crest Ford in Flat Rock Mi. There was a recall on the master cylinder (25S37). On 5-26-2026 we were following a friend to take his car to Dean Arbour Ford in east Tawas for service. While trying to slow down for a turn my brake pedal went VERY SOFT almost to the floor. I was able to slow my truck down enough to make the turn. I then proceeded very carefully to the dealer. It was all country roads with no traffic. By the time I got to the dealer my brake pedal went all the to the floor. I almost had to use the emergency brake to stop. If this would of happened on the expressway we could of been killed or killed someone else. There was no way I could of stopped in an emergency. Upon investigation the new Master Brake Cylinder that was put on in November of 2025 failed. I was told they don't know how long it will be to get a new part because Ford requested all the new Master Cylinders to be returned. So it sounds to me that there could be alot more vehicles with bad Master Cylinders that customer had replaced and do not know they are bad. I was having no issues with my brakes on the old Master Cylinder. I am also being told that it's a warranty issue because the recall on it was closed when the Master Cylinder was replaced in November of 2025.

While driving the car immediately downshifted and I could not accelerate. The Hill assist came on and service advance trac came on. This happened 3 times. The first time we towed it to the dealership April 17th, and they changed the oil and tested the battery secured wires and verified after the repair on April 26th. After we picked the truck up on April 26th it stalled on the highway on the home and we had it towed again. They kept it for 4 days drove it 80 miles and said nothing was wrong no repair was done or needed. On May 13 it stalled again in front of train tracks. Luckly I was able to stop and start it quickly to drive it to a near dealership. We picked up the truck today, and it stalled again on the way home. We drove it back to the dealership today, May 23rd, hopefully they can figure it out. We are again without a car for a long period of time. We have paid $1,964.10 in repairs that have not fixed the problem. The way the truck stops so suddenly is very dangerous as it happened once getting on the highway and once in front of a train track.

Vehicle: 2017 Ford F-150 2.7 EcoBoost, 6R80 transmission VIN: [XXX] While driving at highway speed (approximately 150 km/h / 93 mph) during an overtaking maneuver and moderate-to-heavy acceleration, the vehicle experienced a sudden harsh transmission event. The transmission abruptly entered limp mode and became stuck in 3rd gear. A wrench warning light appeared with the message “See Manual.” The vehicle immediately lost normal acceleration capability and could only continue driving in reduced-power mode. The malfunction occurred suddenly and without prior warning while traveling at high speed. This created a potentially dangerous traffic situation during highway overtaking. After stopping and restarting the vehicle, the transmission returned to normal operation. Diagnostic scan performed using FORScan retrieved DTC code: P0768 – Shift Solenoid D Electrical. The symptoms appear consistent with the currently announced Ford recall involving the 6R80 transmission lead frame / transmission range sensor issue causing unintended harsh downshifts or transmission malfunction. The vehicle is currently located in Poland after being imported from the United States, but the VIN is included in the active NHTSA/Ford recall database. No collision occurred, however the sudden transmission malfunction at highway speed created a serious safety concern. The front driver door lock/latch actuator is failing. The driver door does not lock or unlock using the key fob or the interior power lock button. The only way to lock or unlock the door is manually with the key or by pushing/pulling the lock from inside the vehicle. This issue started shortly after we had a historic/unusual cold freeze in Florida. The vehicle is kept outside, so it was exposed to the freezing temperatures. This creates a safety and security concern because the driver door power lock system does not work properly and may prevent the door from locking or unlocking normally when needed.
