What owners reported
Newest filingsTRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKED ONTO THE PRESSURE SWITCH FOR THE PARKING BRAKE, LOCKING THE PARKING BRAKE SO THE WHEELS WERE LOCKED. INCIDENT HAPPENED WHILE STOPPED FOR A STOP AND GO LIGHT.......FORTUNATELY, BECAUSE WE WERE TOLD THAT BECAUSE IT WAS CERTAIN TO HAPPEN, AND HAD WE BEEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE BRAKES LOCKED, IT COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL. THE VEHICLE WAS HAULED ON A FLATBED WRECKER TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER WHO "REPLACED PRESSURE SWITCH FOR PARKING BRAKE REFILLED TRANSMISSION FLUID AND CLEANED EXCESS FLUID OFF". THIS TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN INSTALLED IN OCTOBER 1998 AFTER THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING AFTER APPROX 52,000 MILES. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING
UNABLE TO USE THE SHOULDER FEATURE OF 3 POINT SEAT BELT SYSTEM BECAUSE THE 12 INCH BAR DIGS INTO SHOULDER BLADE.
NOISE IN REAR END, ALSO GREASE LEAK. *SD

Reading this record
No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.
Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
Most recent recall on file: none. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
