Defect. Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2011-2025 Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and 2022-2025 Service Body vehicles. The cable step wire rope assembly may be improperly secured, which can allow the cable entry step to detach from the vehicle.
Risk. A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.
Remedy. Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. Risk. A missing weld on the rear pole rack can lead to a crack that could cause the pole and rack to drop in height, increasing the risk of an injury.

A wire to the boom stow sensor may be routed over a sharp edge, which can expose the wire to metal and result in a blown ignition circuit fuse.
Risk. A blown fuse can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Risk. Shear plate failure can result in the separation of the subbase and truck frame, increasing the risk of injury.

Risk. Broken bolts can cause the pedestal to separate from the turntable, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2017-2021 AN67-E100, AA67-E100, AN67, AA67, and AN55-E88 aerial devices. The hydraulic plumbing to the lift cylinders of the lower and upper booms could be connected incorrectly, allowing the boom to overextend.
Risk. The operator could overextend the boom while using the material handling jib, causing the aerial device to tip over and increasing the risk of injury.
