Defect. ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON FORD CHASSIS, THE FASTENERS HOLDING THE FUEL TANK MOUNTING STRAPS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TIGHTENED, ALLOWING THE POSSIBILITY FOR THE FUEL TANK TO LOOSEN AND FALL.

Risk. IF THE FUEL TANK FALLS, THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR THE TANK TO IGNITE, RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY, VEHICLE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND PROPERLY TIGHTEN THE FASTENERS TO THE FUEL TANK STRAPS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 15, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT WINNEBAGO AT 614-585-6939.

RETURNED FROM A 3 DAY CAMPING TRIP AND PARKED MOTORHOME AT MY HOUSE. WHEN I HOOKED UP TO SHORE POWER I IMMEDIATELY SMELLED SMOKE. ACCORDING TO REPAIR GUY THE PLUG IN FOR THE SLIDE (110) MUST HAVE HAD BAD CONNECTION AND SHORTED. IT MELTED EVERYTHING IN THE SURROUNDING AREA UNDER THE VANITY IN BATHROOM. I HAD BEEN STAYING IN THE COACH FOR THREE DAYS WITH NO INDICATION OF ANY PROBLEM. *TR
